I went to this place because I saw better reviews than the worse ones. But now I truly understand the worst reviews. I had a suit I ordered online and it came bigger than expected. The man who tailors the suit in which I believe he is the owner, already began saying that this suit is too big and its going to be costly and its gonna take a while. This suit is for my graduation and as a college student it was really hard for me to buy it. Even still, he told me that every adjustment he made it was around 30-35$. He was not a nice, welcoming business owner, and I felt very uncomfortable being at his shop. In the end, he summed up the costs and told me that it was going to be around 250$. Which is literally more expensive than my suit. I told him I would of agree if he did it on time and near perfection, and he frowned and told me “I’m not gonna do this man”. I personally went to this tailor to support local businesses because I have a warm heart towards small businesses. In the end, I left very frustrated and went directly to Suit supply and they did all of the adjustments of my three piece suit for 100$ and it will be done in just 4 days. What amazes me is that I agreed to the substantial amount of 250$ because I truly needed the adjustments and he was still rude and unprofessional even with my acceptance already done. It’s crazy how people forget about customer service and satisfaction. I’m very dissapointed at this place and I hope he does a better job with you than with me.
Do not recommend this store for custom-made clothing. Despite initial measurements, a suit arrived late and required numerous fitting adjustments (they order from outside the United States, then try to alter them to fit). Six weeks after placing an order and making a large deposit for slacks (measurements supposedly on file) the pants have not arrived. They offered to make them in another fabric, which means that they have not yet begun to fill the order. A purchase of belt and suspenders (not custom) was overlooked, and required follow-up. Stick to what you can try on in the store and take with you.
Greiners is the place to go for fine men’s clothing! They have an excellent selection of clothes sourced from the best mills in the world and the customer service is superb. This is the ultimate experience if you are looking for a nice outfit for a special occasion or if you just like to dress nice. They can assist through the whole process if you need guidance. The owner, Chris, has even personally delivered garments from Tampa to St Pete for me in order to meet the promised deadline. They go above and beyond and I will be a life long customer. Highly recommended!
I lost $800 and a lot of my time. The owner could not deliver a suit customized to my posture as he had promised. I have a text from him a year and a half ago saying that the suits would take 2 more weeks. I never received those suits, and so much time had passed that I couldn’t get all of the money back through my credit card company. I’m still angry enough a year and a half later to finally post this review. Chris should have either refunded my money or delivered the suits. If he had done either of those things, I wouldn’t have posted this negative review.
Unless you’re an old white rich guy with thousands and thousands of dollars to spend, the salesman there will not give you the time of day. They will not respect you and will try to find anyway to up charge you on every item. Terrible experience. They outsource everything from China so if there’s shipping delays you won’t see your suit or shirt for MONTHS. But like I said, they will ask you your profession and gauge how much money you make and judge you from there. Won’t be returning, feel bad for anyone who walks in.
Very happy with the quality and selection; But the clothes are only a part of the product. The service level is as high as I've encountered anywhere in the Tampa Bay Area. You won't be disappointed and you may rarely if ever venture back into International mall for men's clothes again. I'd give em 6 stars if I could.
I was able to frequent Greiner's for years when I lived in Tampa. Later I moved to Manhattan and was not able to find the same personalized attention afforded by Greiner's. In summary, Chris Blowers is a the best mens haberdasher I have ever had the pleasure of working with. Go there you will not be disappointed.
The best place to get men’s clothes in Tampa, period. Chris & his staff are super knowledgeable on trends and very friendly. Like most things in life, you get what you pay for. I feel like a million bucks every time I put on one of my shirts or sport jackets that I bought at Greiners.
Overpriced shirts that are subpart quality, poor customer service. Spent almost $400 on a tux shirt for the studs to break mid event. It is the most wrinkly, ill fitting shirt I've ever owned. Chris asked me to contact him directly, and when I called or texted, he never responded.
Great place and Chris and the staff are terrific. Suits and materials are 1st rate as well as fine tailoring. The Tampa store is classic and the selection very diverse. Everything they tailor is perfect and fits perfect. Highly recommend them.
No matter where you are in the Bay area, it will be worth your gas and time to make the trip to this store. The nicest gentlemen in town work here and they sell some of the most gorgeous clothing you'll find in the area.
#1 place to go for Men's Fine Clothing. Chris and his staff are warm, welcoming, and treated me like and old friend. My father-in-law has been coming here for 30 years, and I couldn't have asked for a better experience.
Downtown Tampa's fine mens clothing store. A bit pricey but the quality can't be beat. Locally owned. Staff greets you at the door and is very helpful. Sale priced items usually found near the door when you come in.
Very accommodating. Our son left his dress shirt at home. 1 hour before going to a wedding, Kevin helped us get a shirt and even steamed the shirt to remove packaging wrinkles.
Great high end men's clothing boutique they have everything !everything! I especially love my custom alligator belt! A true treasure in Downtown Tampa.
Decent place. Annoying sale guy followed me around pushing product on me. I would have bought more but I was annoyed and wanted to leave.
Needed a shirt for a meeting, last minute of course, and found this place, where I got a great looking shirt for my meeting.
Love the selection, but the service can’t be beat! Everyone is super helpful and friendly and will walk out looking great.
Excellent, friendly, knowledgeable service. Hard to find anymore. Quality and variety. Clothes to invest in.
When you're on the news it makes you look bad and everybody's looking at you Shame Shame.
Really nice selection and conventionally located where I work.
