I've recently been doing a little more ebay selling and I thought I would take a minute to sing the praises of the helpful, friendly and efficient staff at this local post office. Without exception all of the desk staff are informative and welcoming and always take the time to ask what delivery method I would prefer from the parcel sending options, whilst remaining on the ball and efficient. They often have a laugh and a friendly joke with customers though are also focussed on the tasks in hand as they do so, keeping any queue moving swiftly. I should also mention that they worked diligently and calmly through the pandemic despite the restrictions meaning a queue outside and remained friendly to all at a time where the customers were inevitably nervous or stressed. I have also processed my and my daughter's passport here and found the process good, as was the passport photo service from the key counter. Thank you, team.

I went to this post office today at 1537, there was a queue outside and as I didn’t need to send any parcels/buy stamps I walked inside to use the non postal side of the shop only to be told by this jobsworth that I needed to queue outside. I said I’m not queuing for the post area I just need to buy a plastic postage bag. ‘It doesn’t matter you have to queue up outside’ she replied. I couldn’t believe it smaller shops that have a post office inside allow u to come in and use the other services available. Anyway I went out side to line up and as I got to the front of the queue jobsworth comes out again and says ‘Sorry no one is allowed in past 15:50’. I couldn’t believe!!!! I went there as my local polite post office is closed until further notice. But avoid this post office after 1530 cos if there is queue you may not get in before the doors are closed by a self important jobsworth

The lady behind the counter at the post office has a big attitude problem I can see. After I put money in my bank on Friday, I went back on Monday as I lost a ring. The lady asked what it looked like and said she put one found one and put it behind her counter. I then asked her if she put it in lost property as soon as she saw it and put it behind her counter. She then said no because she wasn’t focused on lost property then she was just for used on taking parcels and said she might have flicked it through her window ‘ by accident’ ( that wouldn’t happen if she had put it in lost property box as soon as she said she saw it) she then showed me a piece of personal information that she kept in a sew through money bag. ( it makes no sense that she keeps one persons thing but doesn’t put every lost property item on a safe place. She was rude and grumpy and very arrogant .

DO NOT GET YOUR PASSPORT PICTURE TAKEN HERE As I didn't have £5 in £1 coins I had to use the key cutter to take my passport photo in the post office. While the gentleman taking the photo was very polite and nice. The quality was appalling. The photo is taken on a stool where you have a florescent strip light down one-side of your face and in the general poor lighting of the store, meaning everyone will come out looking 10 years older and jaundiced. Not only that, but you only receive one option, no opportunity to retake it and I was made to tuck my hair behind my ears, which while not a good look on anyone, is also not a requirement for a passport photo. If you are going to continue to charge people almost £10 to leave the post office and cry about how ugly they are, the least you can do is buy a ring light off Amazon.

To get a passport application form, the manager asked me to wait in the long queue! Whilst waiting I could see staff taking longer time than needed chatting and laughing with customer whilst people waiting to be served! When I politely suggested that passport application forms should be with the other forms in the display for customers to pick up, the manager with fake smile became sarcastic causing me embarrassment in public showing no no sign of tolerance! They do not even know how to check passport application forms as my one got returned due to post office staff not doing their job properly. Their manager looked embarrassed as he processed the refund for his staff incompetence! That's what I call fake smile to attract customers which hides long queues and poor service!

I have read previous reviews about this branch and I guess it depends who you get. I had really good service on one visit and then rude service on another visit. This past visit I needed to send a small envelope on a 3-4 day delivery to the U.S. It was not possible unless I sent it through Parcel Force at £54.95 which was a 2-3 day delivery. When I went to ask questions it was just too much for the man as he shrugged his shoulders in response instead of speaking. Also, any delivery prices that you see and can buy online, will be at least doubled or more at this branch if you pay in person. Lastly, it turned out that he entered part of the address incorrectly into the system. So always check your receipt or it might delay the shipping.

  • Swiftly Adequate

There are counter staff that are employed here that do not have any experience in customer service, they are rude have no common sense what so ever, in over 40yrs using Post offices all over the UK its the first I have ever witnessed toned aggression so to put it. Unhelpful staff that work for the Post Office at Greenwich are bringing down the good reputation of the Post Office & need to be trained or replaced. At some point in the near future even though I wish never again I would return to this branch only to challenge & see if staff attitudes have improved as a secret customer. If I could submit posting with 0 Stars then this deserves it not 1 Star. I have also submitted a complaint to the Post Office as of this review.

Best place for infant and children's passport photos - How hard can it be to take a baby's passport photo? Quite hard, as it turns out. After several frustrating experiences, friends recommended the gentleman who staffs the photo counter at this location. He knew exactly how to get the right photo to the requirements, and was extremely patient while our little-one fussed until we got the right shot. His work is guaranteed as well, so in the event there is a problem, he'll retake them at no charge. Overall we've been here on three occasions for the same service, and always super-professional, personable and fast - really important when you've got impatient and cranky kids who are the subject. A++

Travel Money Desk Told to collect ordered Euros after 15:00 on Friday. Arrive at 15:30 and the desk is closed. No notification to advise that the desk has been closed. Had I been travelling over the weekend, would have been high and dry. Post office staff fairly nonchalant about the whole thing, just told to collect the following Tuesday instead. If people have ordered things for collection, at least make sure someone in the branch can process the collection (or send a notification to advise - you take almost every detail in order to process money exchange). In terms of customer service - frankly terrible. Not even an apology or attempt to resolve THEIR issue.

I am literally shaking as I write this. I went to this post office on my bike and it was very close to the closing time so I was hurrying to post my letter before the shop was closed. I wanted to park my bike for a moment in the vestibule into the shop, that is between the two doors in the entrance, by the photo boot. I was 'told' to park my bike outside. I wasn't blocking anywhere and tried to explain it would only take two minutes but to no avail. I am really cross with them. I cannot comment on the quality of their service as I did not have the chance but they are apparently lacking 'humanity'. Come on people, what is happening to you!

  • Arthur Smith

Out of the Thousands of people who visit this Post Office year on year, you will only see a handful who have left feedback and mostly negative, its generally only those who want to have a moan or more time on their hands who bother to leave any at all and therefore the system is skewed,I feel I need to try and redress the balance this Post Office is probably one of the best, the staff are very friendly and more to the point very efficient in what they do and have been brilliant during Covid. So personally I would take all the Negatives with a pinch of salt and make your own minds up rather than listen to a few miserable b******s.

  • mouloud benzadi

. Unqualified young people employed. Result? We got a British passport application returned by the home office as it was not checked properly by their young employees! . Arrogant and sarcastic management witnessed on several occasions despite their smile! . Despite having plenty of room to make all forms available without the need to queue up to pick up one, they make you wait in the queue to collect one (black and white and no common sense)! . The service would be better and more effective under a new management and business providing a better training to staff who do not seem to know much, I feel!

  • Susan Yau

Post office is great! Just don’t go for the printing service - rude man that increased prices without explaining why. Black and white is 25p and colour print is 50p. I said B&W is fine. But as soon as he heard me saying “boarding pass” he jumped in and said “oh boarding passes are 45p each”. I asked why and his explanation was “printing it t the airport would cost £4 each”. How is that an explanation why a black and white print costs double when it’s a boarding pass? For print, go to the public library, 1min walk away, 10p for B&W and 25p for colour. No random surcharge for printing boarding passes.

Atrocious customer service. Immediate attitude from the individual serving me from the moment i greeted them upon arrival to the service desk. They refused to allow me to post my letters at the desk (I intended to get proof of postage), telling me to just use the post box. Also, when i asked what the minimum for cash deposit was they answered incorrectly telling me only the maximum. I had to repeatedly ask them the minimum, to which i received an even worse attitude. Can’t trust them to post anything correctly, so had to leave and look for a different office.

  • Sag Dee

Great manager, Tamandeep looks after his staff and his customers. A helpful reminder for anyone using the very useful cash deposit service offered by The Post Office accepting most major banks. This branch only accepts cash deposits up to 4pm though other services are available until 530pm. It is always worth speaking with the manager though as he was very kind in allowing me to deposiy a smaller amount (up to around £500) if the counter staff are not sure if it's possible, ask the manager. Overall very friendly efficient service thank you.

  • Judit Garcia

INCONSIDERATE STAFF. They close the office at 1pm, I arrived at 12:40h, waited the line for 20min and the staff closed the door on my face. When I told them they should have come and told people in the line to stop cueing, the lady said she came at 12:30h but people started leaving the line so those who arrived later like me were not told. They should put a sign at the door asking people to stop cueing from 12:30h. What a waste of time, I won't go back to that office ever again!

  • Ellie Brooks

The staff is always friendly and positive, very easy going peoples people here. Genuine advice on postal service and pricing. They do have enough staff so you wont get stuck in long queue. This post office have some stationary item, but bear in mind that this is not a stationary shop. only minus point I would say is why this key cutter and watch repair man there, he is rally out of the place in post office, get some quality service in Post office

  • Justin Harris

The post office is never open until 5pm. The sign on the door states last entry 1650. When I arrived at 1651 the door was shut with a woman leaving. I explained I had a package packed, stamped and just required it scanned for tracking. I even explained it was urgent medical delivery. No interest! I think it takes a few minutes to shut up shop, such as turning lights off, cashing up etc. So if you want service, best get there no later than 1630.

  • Vanessa Gouveia-Law

Standing outside at 8.55am, as the sign on the door said it opens today, 11th August, at 9am. Guys inside see us standing there. Looks at us. Wait 10 minutes. Then without speaking to us just puts up another sign saying now it will open on the 14th August. You're literally standing in front of us behind a glass door, it would take you 5 seconds to open the door and apologise for wasting everyone's time???

  • Nina Danino

The woman member of staff entered the wrong address information in her iPad and this caused me untold problems and delays and time and work on my part to rectify. She also was unhelpful in taking a decent photograph. I want the money back and I shall take it to complaints. It seemed an efficient service and it arrived on time but to the wrong address and the problems started there.

  • Ian Hunt

Oliviero Fella.... entitled cyclist who thinks he should be allowed to block the entrance of a shop (there is no 'ante-room') with his bike cause he was daft enough to come out without a lock. No-one rude works at this place... check out the other reviews, all of this guys reviews elsewhere are also just one-star... probably says more about his attitude than anyone elses.

  • Deyvis Bumbov

Business Customer here, i use this post office everyday for the past 10 months , i send around 400 items per month. Staff is always friendly and positive, it's really rare that you have to wait more than 2-3 minutes on a que. I've been to a hundreds of post offices around London and i can honestly say that this is the best one!

  • Stuart Nolan

Very friendly staff, very professional, always able to answer relative questions and they always have a few minutes to chat if it's not too busy. Also, they have a very well stocked shop which caters for everything you need and if they haven't got what you want, they offer to order it in for you, just brilliant. :)

  • J K

I came into store a couple of months ago, in a rush and needed more than 30 items posted to different addresses; one of the owners noticed came over to me and helped me pack them and I was extremely grateful. I drive past two post offices to get to the Greenwich branch, extremely polite and helpful always.

  • Jon Le Noir

The staff are poorly trained. I posted a battery power pack after asking specifically if it was allowed and showing the staff member a picture. The parcel was accepted but now has disappeared. On reading their guidance it turns out the item can’t be sent in the post. Very expensive incompetence!

  • Oliviero Fella

Rude Lady/Staff at the entrance asked me repitetly and forced me to leave the building as I've left my bike int the anteroom as I didn't have a chain-locker. Went to Trafalgar Road Post Office and found very polite and gentle staff. 2min, I left my parcel and i was back on track to work.

  • Mike Jones

Just found out they no longer accept redeliveries, what a massive disappointment, especially considering the only other option is a tiny shop all the way at the other end of Greenwich, that closes at 2pm on Saturdays. Well, it just means I'll no longer be using your services I'm afraid.

  • Aston Lovell

We have been customers of the Greenwich Post office for more than 12 years: Whether it be sending packaging to our customers or using any of their services, the staff have always been extremely helpful, polite and friendly, which is not always the case elsewhere. A thumbs up from us.

  • Blind Watchmaker

The guy cutting keys at the front of the door is aggressive and unprofessional. Witnessed him early arguing with a customer for arriving too late to be served (about 15 minutes before closing time!). The bloke shouted and swore while everyone in the queue looked embarassed. Avoid.

  • RonStoppable

Well went in to renew my SIA badge , got told I can’t use my driving license but yet on the Doc B it says driving license can be used , argued the fact I can use it but women I was talking to was rude , the man who I spoke to after was alright but 1 will alway let every one down

  • Deb Sherrer

I needed to mail some packages to the USA after a couple of weeks in London and the staff were super helpful in helping me understand what my options were. Packages arrived exactly when I was told they would arrive. Thankful for the extra work the staff put in to help me!

  • Bee

Quick and easy service always! The guy who wears a turban is just 10/10 and so is the lady with the black hair - full of so much positivity and can always make you smile :) The other services in there are good - glad to have finally found a key cutting place

  • sadd sdasdad

does this post office have a special criteria for its staff to be as unhelpful and difficult as possible? if yes, it succeeded greatly! if they work like that, I suggest changing everything to self-service - your staff is useless anyway, so why have them at all?

  • Zestyut

They don’t do document checking. I thought that was a service every post office carried. I did not have to wait at all to get to the counter but it’s not Worth it if you can’t get the job done. Off to lewisham P.O. to wait forever in a queue.

  • Jenny Hao

Staff behind the counter at Greenwich Post Office are always so lovely and polite, giving me tips about how to securely wrap/post my parcels. I had to go to Canary Wharf when Greenwich was closed for a little bit. Please never close again!!

  • Dirk Singer

Large local post office, it used to have a stationery store inside, but that seems to have gone. There's still a key cutting desk inside. Helpful staff who are well known by the local community. Good location quite near Greenwich station

  • Saritha Marino

Don’t come to take pictures of of kids ! Just don’t ! The “professional” responsible for the pictures is impatient, and was making disapproval face all the time in a bad mood. A kind of attitude that my kids doesn’t need or deserve.

Personale molto gentile, fila molto scorrevole e tempi di attesa minimi. Possibilità di effettuare il cambio valuta. Ampia disponibilità di francobolli, biglietti di auguri per compleanni ed eventi. Locale grande, un po' triste.

  • James Risdon

The opening hours seem to be very limited. Today I arrived 15 minutes before they closed and they would not allow me in. Extremely annoying. The post office staff are generally friendly, in stark contrast to the front of house…

  • Clementine Voss

Excellent Post Office, staff are always friendly and positive. The 'shop' element of the whole affair isn't quite the cheapest; this is likely the case with most Post Offices though. Good place for Greetings cards.

  • Michael Mackinnon

staff are very friendly helpful polite and welcoming , they often have to deal with very rude customers I’ve witnessed this a few times but they always remain calm and composed when dealing with aggressive idiots

  • Judy Inskip

Why don't I spend my lunch break productively and pop down the Post Office? Oh wait, I can't, because the entire staff is on break simultaneously, at the same time as everyone else!!!

I had a photo taken for my driving license here and the employee was extremely helpful and patient even when I asked him if I could get the photo retaken, would recommend

Absolutely shocking customer service by the old man in the booth. So rude and Cantankerous! Literally just threw my parcel into the bag with such disregard. Disgraceful.

  • Laetitia P.

Really friendly staff and quick service - one of my favorite post offices to visit and have always had a good experience posting my mail here :)

  • Lily Ann Rossdale

Despite the sign on the door saying 17:30, this staff takes pride in their job by closing at 17:20. No wonder they’re kept at minimum wages.

Staff helpful when sending parcels. Attached store has a variety of postage goods including boxes, tapes and envelopes of different sizes.
