Horrible experience. Called first thing in the morning to make an appointment, was told walk ins till 12pm and appointments in the afternoon. Walked in the place about 30mins later, was asked for my Medicare card on arrival and told to sit down in the waiting room with one other person there. 5mins later the other person goes in, 5 more mins and the receptionist finally talks to me to check my details, then realising I'd never been to the practice. At least 10mins of waiting just to establish I was a new patient and then I get told there is an $80 "cash" fee for first visits. Seems dodgy straight away and who carries cash, so I had to leave to get cash and come back. Major inconvenience, especially when there were at least two prior opportunities to tell me this, without wasting my time waiting for nothing. I go get cash, come back and fill out the new patient form, then the real wait starts. Empty waiting room, no one with the doctor and I easily would have sat there 20mins+ before getting seen. Doctor calls me in, office directly off reception and front desk, it's a small space, he doesn't close the door. It's a doctors office with no privacy!? He asks me what's wrong, I describe my symptoms and ask for a prescription, barely asks me any further questions, comes over to me and places a stethoscope on my back, on top of my shirt, and listens for maybe 3 seconds, 5 at a stretch. Goes back, writes me a script and then asks me if I'm "happy" as he hands it to me. What exactly I have to be happy about that this point I am not sure, but shocked is a better description. I would have been in his office maybe 60-90 seconds, I was completely blown away by the whole experience and left dumbfounded as I walked out. Sure this guy is eccentric, the green suit is one thing, but absolutely zero care or consideration came from this person, who I struggle to call a doctor, it was complete disdain shown the whole time and no actual doctoring to be seen. I would hate to be in serious medical trouble and see this person, nothing would get diagnosed. Time to retire I think. Do yourself a favour and go elsewhere, this place is not worth your trouble. UPDATE after reading the colourful reply, clearly written by the doctor. Reading over this and other reviews it is pretty easy to see he makes a habit of posting unprofessional and petty responses. Maybe if he put a little more effort into his practice and less energy into his social media presence he might not get so many negative reviews. As stated in my original review, I was not informed about an initial consultation fee on the phone or on arrival at the practice. If I was already told why wouldn't I bring cash or then sit around for 10mins+ until I was told!? Clearly this guy enjoys lying to himself and justifies everything in his own head. It took 45mins+ in a virtually empty practice, including time to go get cash out. Not sure about this fast turn around time that brings you so much pride, it was not the speedy process you pretend. My opinion is false about patient confidentiality, yet my in person experience is there was no privacy, may as well have spoken in reception. Right. Contactless consultation!? Dr didn't even know what was wrong with me and now claim they offered this? Kidding yourself. Contactless consultations must describe 99% of his day. And plotting my review while waiting is my favourite part of the response! lol I didn't request specific medication, I requested support from a doctor. I don't prescribe to myself, I seek the advice of a medical professional. Well, with the exception of today. Nobody asked the doctor to cure anyone in 90 seconds, what ridiculousness. You've lost the plot. 90 seconds is how long it took to rush me through once I finally got in his office. Classic. Judging by the responses I and others have received, this doctor makes a sport of running people down who dare speak out about his poor conduct and deflecting blame. Not a great look from a member of the community with such "high standards". The level of narcissism is staggering.

I used to see the female Doctor - Dr. Thompson, she has recently left and they wouldn't tell me where she went. Now only Cliff is there and he seems to be one of those, you hate him or you love him kinda guys. Dr. Thompson was great, so kind, caring, informative and really tried to get to the bottom of your problem. Cliff, not so much. Barely makes eye contact, you're in and out within minutes. I had to wait between 1 - 1 1/2 hours for each appointment I had booked with him and he literally only saw me for 2 minutes each time. Once on the Thursday, then on the Friday at the same time - and he didn't remember me. I'm sure he sees a lot of people but to not remember a face within 1 day? I don't like it when a doctor says "what can I do for you" when all they need to do is take a minute to look up your file on their computer to see that you were only there yesterday and coming in for your test results. This practice used to be great, but they've gone downhill since all the good doctors have left - makes you wonder why they keep leaving? I can say, the receptionist is lovely though. She is always smiling, has a nice manner about her, helpful AND she remembers you. The waiting area is also small, cramped and the seats are uncomfortable. Not everyone going to the doctor has a cold or flu, sometimes they have joint problems or something not contagious. It's not fun waiting in a tiny space for over an hour with a bunch of people coughing and sneezing every 5 seconds. I actually got a sore throat for a couple of days after my appointment. No doubt I caught it off someone there. I wont be going back here again.

Have seen Dr Quinn once before when I was charged $50 for a flu shot. Then today I needed a blood test referral got there at 9:30am there were two women before me. Every time a man walked into the practice (one was clearly someone he was friends with) he saw them straight away. I ended up waiting just shy of two hours for a blood test referral. When he pulled in the second man before me I went in and said “I’m going to be late for work can I please just get a blood test referral quickly if possible” he was so patronising and says “have you got any money dear?”I replied with well actually I’ve been here since 9:30 and before 11am YOUR practice is bulk billed. He said something like oh ok see the lady at the front and she will help you (mind you he is very rude to his receptionist both times I’ve been there). He is saying all of this with a big sarcastic grin. Then I see him and he asks why I need a blood test I mention I’m seeing a naturopath and he continues to say rude things about naturopaths etc etc and then VERBATIM “which naturopath are you going to? You know they don’t bulk bill?” (Implying I couldn’t afford it?) I informed him I had already paid. Then I am on my way to work and I get a call saying he has given me a referral with another patients details!! So sat for two hours, me and the other women giving each other eyes every time he let one of the men go before us and left without the thing I needed. Extremely patronising, rude and unprofessional will not be returning.

My wife and I are extremely cognisant of the fact that addressing patient’s ailments can often be a thankless and overbearing task in the medical profession. Therefore, although I am not in the habit of writing a review, I feel compelled to do so as a result of the ongoing superb way in which Dr Quinn and his staff continually address my, and my wife’s ongoing medical requirements. Dr Quinn has been our physician for around 20 years. Throughout this period, especially during the challenging Covid period, Dr Quinn continues to excel by providing the most professional, personable, empathetic medical and physical care. He possesses excellent communication skills and is always approachable, attentive, informative, and friendly. Ageing can often be a challenging and unwelcome process, with many unforeseen obstacles. However, it is it is extremely comforting to know my wife and I can call on Dr Quinn’s skill, knowledge and expertise and have our medical ailments addressed in an immediate and efficient manner. Oh yes, Dr Quinn’s attire is quite sublime, and he is often up for a joke and a little humour when required, which leaves one with a positive and enthusiastic approach for the rest of the day. “Happiness is the highest form of health!” so ………. …….. “Always Keep A Smile On Your Dial!” Cheers ….. Norm (& Liz)

I had the privilege to work at the Centre alongside Dr Quinn and throughout my time it was evident he has a passion for patients, and drive for providing quality service and care to any patient who stepped through the door. His contagious laughter, caring nature and charming personality delights patients making them feel like not only is he a doctor but a caring friend. His experience and knowledge are incredible. With decades of experience and education patients know they will always getting the best of the best advice and treatment. His dedication to the Centre is remarkable. Charlee the practice manger is the kindest soul and never fails to ensure patients had everything they need her warm nature and patience makes patients feel welcomed and accepted in the Centre she will always go above and beyond. Greenslopes medical Centre is more than a doctor's office it's a place where patients know they are safe and are getting the upmost care no matter your situation financially or health wise. Dr Quinn and Charlee will support and accommodate you in Anway they can. I have heard and seen the positive impact they have in patients' lives and have had for years; his legacy will continue to live on in the community.

Wow glad I don't go there. Called accidently the wrong place but the fella on the desk, man that guy has no manners, was rude, abrupt, then hung up on me. When I called back and said you hung up on me, his response: no one hung up on you mate. Just rude!! edit to response below: It is clear you are the person I spoke to on the phone, your response is a shameful attempt at deflection, this only serves to demonstrate that were likely the person to have been rude to me. I spoke out in disgust and shock at how I was being treat for a simple phone call, but you have spoken out in anger and intent to hurt as you have had sometime to stew over this. Not to mention your practice manager said she would speak to you and advise you not to behave like this. You will be hearing from my lawyer sir.

Went in with Temp Jaw Dysfunction. GP I saw was utterly unprofessional and only cared about the money (he took cash for the consultation for himself). No proper check up was done. He just heard my story for 2 mins then prescribed me a drug which was later revealed (10 mins later) by the pharmacist to be both incorrect and dangerously too strong for my condition. This inapproproate prescription was later confirmed by the specialist. Felt like I was short-changed. Paid 80 aud to be treated badly and to have a consultation that amounted to nothing. Had I suffered any real damage by taking the drug, I would have sued. Receptionist is very nice though. She does not belong there working for that GP.

An exceptional medical centre which has provided my health requirements for a decade. Friendly helpdull staff assist your needs whether communicating by telephone or face to face. Dr.Cliff Quinn an excellent general practitioner specialist in back manipulation and acupuncturist. This week I suffered extreme spinal nerve pain from a dislocation in my spine. I consulted Dr Cliff Quinn for a spinal manipulation. He describes himself as a Master Spinal Manipulator. But this is not so. Dr Quinn has real magic in his hands, so his proper title is Magical Master Spinal Manipulator. From a state of sheer agony 4 days ago, I am completely recovered from one visit, which is different from my experience over many years and much money repeatedly visiting fraudulent so-called chiropractors for no relief. Thank you, Dr Quinn

About the early 1980's Doctor Cliff Quinn started at the Greenslopes Medical Centre after Doctor Arrowsmith retired. Because of Doctor Cliff Quinn's superb medical knowledge. His talents brought popularity along . Gets Patients in and out reasonably quick. Gentle, kind and addresses your concerns clearly. Bulk Billing and a indoor waiting room as well as a adjacent outdoor waiting room. Some Patient Parking going along Ellena Avenue then into the left. The best Doctor I have been to and highly recommend.

I was at the surgery yesterday with a friend and I heard the dr yelling at the staff mutilple times during the hour and a half wait. The way he was talking to the young girls was absolutely appalling. He clearly has no respect for the girls and it’s disgusting. I want to thank the lovely receptionists there as they were super helpful and friendly dispite the abuse they were receiving.

  • Paul Mason

Imagine a medical centre with fresh air, wonderful stained glass windows (a grateful former patient), no-one sneezing all over you, cheeky doctor with a joke, a careful ear and truly sound advice, a consulting room filled with oddities from all over the world. And bulk billing. I'd prefer the fab outfits and the (v occasionally) gruff manner to good old fashioned boring any day!!

  • David Moran

Dr Quinn is one of the most dedicated GP's I have ever been seen by - a real "old school" Dr who still takes walk ins, is no fuss and really takes your concerns seriously. He is and always has been great with both of my young children for the different immunizations required. Both kids remember Dr Quinn positively and do not dread seeing him. A wealth of knowledge and experience.

To be fair I know now the doctor is here but before I go the family physician in the nearby on Plimsolls Street, which is nearby the Shopping Mall opposite side of road. The parking could be problematic to be the major road is here. Unless the parking is possible in behind the garden. Could be some people park in the Shopping Mall and walk across the street.

  • Alexander-Reign Andrews

Went to the front door and said i was there for my appointment at 3pm. Then got rudely approached by a miserable old guy who told me because i was a new patient i had to pay an 80 dollar fee that i was not made aware of over the phone. Then proceeded to yell at me asking me over and over if i was at the right place. Disgusting.

  • Josh Carter

The receptionist is really arrogant she has no ppl skills and makes u feel like u shouldn't be there I have no idea how this middle aged lady landed the job she has the personality of a wet sao biskit The doctors are fine but she really needs to go work somewhere where police don't matter like a parking inspector

  • tshewang dema

The worst Medical centre. The doctor isn’t ready to listen to patient nor examining the condition. He straight away prescribed the medication. He said it’s bad but least bothered to check the patient’s Blood pressure and temperature. Had it not been bad, I wouldn’t come to give seek your medical advice.
