BEWARE of what the express wash can do to your vehicle!! I rarely posts reviews but my recent experience with the express automated car wash at Great white has me writing this. Since their automatic car wash left scratches across the tailgate on my New 2022 Ford F150 that they refuse to take responsibility for (photos attached). This Truck has never seen a touch car wash and is only hand washed by me so I knew that there was no scratches in the truck whatsoever. Beware if you are going through the express wash!! They will say that they use close cell foam for their brushes and it prevents scratches but if there is still dirt on the surface of the vehicle and it gets dragged out by their "superior" closed cell foam it will still scratch the paint! also I noticed that 2 of their brushes are no longer the closed cell foam but just the regular car wash brush. I am not angry but I am disappointed with the response by their team. I spend a lot of money there between hand washes and the express wash. They will most likely post a response to this explaining why its not their fault, but I am just presenting the facts and what happened in my experience there. I have used Great white car wash since 2020 off and on for different vehicles throughout the time. On 11/13/2022 I renewed my members ship for 2 vehicles and ran my F-150 through the express car wash. After the wash I noticed that the tailgate of my truck was still a little dirty. The closer I looked I found these horizontal scratches across the whole tailgate including the rear bumper. Up until January 2022 they used to prep the vehicles with a high pressure wand by hand all over the vehicles but now they used a high pressure automated spray instead. The problem is that the spray does not hit the tailgate at all, and when it sprays the water is parallel with the tailgate which gets some water but not enough to move the dirt. I met with management on 11/16/2022 and they inspected the truck and they basically refused to accept any responsibility caused by their machine. They told me the scratches was there beforehand but it was just covered with "hard wax" from ford or the dealer. I have reached out to the dealer and Ford motor company to get a statement if they use hard wax prior to delivery. They tried to offer me 3 months of free express wash(why would I accept this if this is the result) or $150 of hand wash gift card both of which I refused since I do not want their money all I wanted was my truck to be in the same condition prior to going into the express wash. Lesson learned.

Pictures in review are from AFTER I used the automatic wash at Great White Car Wash. You can clearly see the marks in the dirt from where the brushes tried to clean. You can also clearly see my vehicle is still quite dirty. I was very excited to try out this car wish. I just bought a brand new Jeep Wrangler and wanted to try to keep it looking nice. The carwash looks very impressive. larges bays for big trucks, a touches wand self wash, and the automatic drive through bay. I had purchased a membership so was looking forward to always having a clean ride. First time I went through, I got out to unfold my mirrors and it looked nice. until I looked a little closer. I find a few areas that the brushes seemed to have missed, mainly around the fenders and front bumper. Then I noticed a few more places like my back window, side windows back bumper. I could see where the brushes has slapped my vehicle but there was so much dirt left behind. I decided to give it another shot a couple days later. this time I had some dirt on my hood from driving down by the river while it was raining. nothing major though. I went into the carwash, and upon entering I asked the employee inside if he could give it a quick once over with the pressure washer which he was happy to do. upon finishing the wash, I noticed all the same areas were still dirty. However this time even the hood was still dirty. it was almost as if I hadn't gone through the wash bay at all. Feeling a little frustrated I went to the Coop touchless automatic car wash on 130th ave. When I came out of the car wash, my jeep was spotless. everywhere that the carwash at Great had missed, coop cleaned. Not a big issue. Maybe jeeps just aren't meant to go to Great White. I sent a message to the carwash to let them know my experience, and asked to cancel my membership and also requested a refund. I received a reply back saying they take customer satisfaction seriously and someone from management would reach out to me within 24hrs. it was been over a week and nobody has reached out. Not a huge deal except that now I see my credit card has been charged for another month of membership. Overall my experience has been less than great. The staff are great. friendly the couple times I have spoken to them. The car wash doesn't do a good job washing in my experience. Pictures attached for reference. these are all AFTER I went through the wash.

Based off my experience. I love washing my vehicles first and foremost. I am a self serve car wash kind of person so being able to see various car washes that are coin operated is quite exciting as I love having my vehicles clean. This Facility is new and modern with many convinces for drivers who just want to be in and out without having to go down. I like that they have more than 3 personals working at one time which is convenient for getting change and getting the bays cleaned up after being used. They have automatic car washe that vary I believe with 3 different packages for cleaning your vehicle. They also have a monthly subscription that varies from 50 to 150 a month depending on the packages which is only meant for one vehicle per subscription. They have bays for self service car wash which take coins and they have a reload card system that have bonus when loading various amounts on it. In the self serve car wash bays they have many different types of ways to wash your vehicle from spay soap, foam brush, spray foam, engine cleaner and more so there is an abundant amount of cleaners to clean your vehicle. So for me for this location the reason for 3 stars is that Facility is great however when using their coin op section whether using their card system or using coins it definitely seems faster than most places I've been to. I have 2 cars and truck and let me tell you I definitely spend more here than the other places I've been to. Honestly that's the only downside I feel. Other than that its a pretty clean and has the latest technology to get your car looking clean and new.

Automated car wash is a joke. Hours on the automated screens and their answering machine state open until 9pm Monday through Saturday yet they're closed at 8pm. Between the lousy car wash results and their terrible conflicting hours I've simply had it with these guys. I drive from McKenzie Lake to go there and have had their top offering car wash plan for nearly three years and they are certainly not getting another year out of me. Their newly renovated automatic car wash is still terrible, still breaks down a lot and doesn't clean well whatsoever. Their top car wash is supposed to have soap in the hand wand and at least 2 years ago the soap broke or something and they no longer use soap on the initial wand wash for the automatic wash. What a joke I'm done with these guys once my plan is up. Save your time and frustration and go to Esso for a touchless car wash that is much less expensive for one time use and is far superior. On a side note, these guys don't use hot water on their wand washes either yet they charge an absolute fortune it seems when comparing to say Harper's car wash down the road that uses very hot water and your loonies go a lot further. Lastly the automatic car wash ripped off my factory antenna of my new Tundra shortly after purchasing it and I let them know and nothing ever came about. To this day my new truck (2 years later) is still missing a radio antenna as the dealership wanted too much money to remove the broken part.

Went to the new location at Taza yesterday for a free wash. They were offering the great white (full) wash. The facility is new and very clean, the spray staff at the start of the wash was a bit overwhelmed as he didn’t get the whole front of the car with the spray. The automatic wash was fast and did a very good job of cleaning the car. Now would I pay $26 for a car wash? No. I would try the lower priced one to see if it cleans as well. There is a monthly subscription you can pay and get your car washed every day if you want. Might try this out during winter when the car gets really messy. The only thing I worry about is the damage the spinning brushes can do to a paint job if some debris from a very dirty vehicle gets stuck in the brushes and then scratches my paint job. As with all these types of washes they are not responsible for any damage caused by the wash. I have a loose side marker on my car and the brushes pulled it out of the body. Repairable but that shows you the power of the brushes. Nice to see another car wash in the area although I can count at least 9 locations with auto or manual washing 5 minutes away from me. I can spray wash my car in a manual bay for $6 but my car hasn’t been this clean in a long time.

Used to love this place. It was my fleet wash. They have major pump issues. I’ve told personnel multiple times and get “I’ll tell maintenance tomorrow” every time I bring it up to them. Not sure they ever listen which is why I’m now leaving this review. I couldn’t even rinse the soap off tonight… not worth my dime, even with the loyalty bonus. Just want a clean truck and I’m not getting that here anymore. UPDATE January 6, 2024. I was asked in the response below to email Jaimie. I did so immediately, and still no response. I’ve washed 3 vehicles 5 times each while waiting response, not including having to go elsewhere to get the soap off my truck after this night. I’ve really been patient after about a year of situations like this. Every time I try to give them another chance, I continue to be disappointed. In my ventures elsewhere, I have found myself spending about half of what I was at Great White, and I’ve found hot water, quality soaps/waxes, and continuous pressure. My only wish now is that I could get my money back out of my existing wash cards from Great White.

I was in auto car wash this Saturday, after car wash when I try to keep my side mirrors back in position I found that the mirror cover is missing. I went back in auto car wash and found the cover on side, and noticed that it got some discolouration and crack in it. They guy in auto car wash told me to report the incident, I do the same. The guy in office went out to help me to fix the cover and then I found out the side mirror is moving, that guy try to fix but even broke it more. Then we went back in office to report the incident, he showed me 2 cameras recording- one where I was driving towards car wash and my side mirror is good, other when I was in car wash at dryers and my side mirror is moving with the air and the cover went out. It’s clear that my side mirror broken in the automatic car wash. Now I am using ziplocks to keep my side mirror on place. Since Saturday I am waiting for response for my report, but no reply. I tried 3-4 times to contact but first there manager wasn’t there, now they are disconnecting my call. I need a quick resolution.

This is a well overdue review. I think when I first visited I put a 5 star with no description. After maybe 100 visits now, I can happily say this is the carwash for me. There's self serve options for cars, trucks, and semitrucks. A full 53foot semi can fit easily in their bays. There's also 2 autowashes, which are pretty good but I prefer to wandwash myself. The water pressure is always great, warm water too. There is presoak, spray soap, soap brush(don't use it on your paint please people), trifoam soap, rainx spray, wheel cleaner, and vacuums. I am someone who takes their time washing and it usually comes to about $15(same as an auto wash which is nice that I'm not spending $30 on a wandwash. The team there is great. If there's ever an issue, it gets fixed immediately and I've never seen any washbays closed. Overall, I love this place and look forward to many more washes, and pictures of my shiny Bella. Thanks as always, Great White!

Was excited to see this place open as I live and work in the area. Unfortunately it's pretty disappointing. I usually use the self serve bays - they're fine but noticeably pricier (and no better) than others in the area. Several times I've been there the garbage cans inside have been overflowing as staff walk by them. I went through the automatic yesterday and that's what lead me to write this review. Recently the automatic wash has been closed frequently for "improvements". It's now reopened and see pics below of the result. A modern, automatic wash that can't effectively clean crossover/SUV style vehicles is useless as it seems most cars on the road are now this style. It's especially unacceptable when they're charging a premium price - this wash was $24. I called twice and messaged via social media (during business hours) before leaving a negative review - but no answer/response.

Best Truck Wash in Calgary!!! I was really impressed by the water Pressure, The volume of water coming out, 1 wand extends 360 around a Semi Truck&Trailer. Their Truck wash bays are huge probably the widest in the city. The price isn't bad i've seen other places charge much more for much less. I was washing a Dump Truck full of dirt and mud in every nook and corner. Because their wand is long and has a high pressure made my job so much easier. Also because their bays are very wide i didn't get as much mud and dirt splashed back at me. I bought a $100 charge card and $10 was added on to the card for free. 3 young men at the counter who seemed attentive, As i was washing my Truck i saw them walking around bays doing clean up. Water Pressure 10/10 Price 9/10 Service 10/10 Soap out of wand 10/10 Bay cleanliness 10/10 I highly recommend this place for Truck&Trailer wash.

Poorly maintained… Quick wash turned into hours of removing tar… here’s the story. Stopped in for a wash, rinsed the brush because well, that’s just what you have to do. BUT after washing the VW there was globs of Tar/Oil not sure but It was allllll over the car. Spoke to front desk and honest word for word reply was “ok” but luckily a gentleman who works there came by with the solid useless advice of “try a presoak”. Pro tips for the owners here 1) clean your gear 2) maybe teach workers how to respond to this type of situation 3) WD-40 works for removing tar from vehicles, might want to keep some handy. A few sample pics to show some of the fresh tar or whatever it is on my VW. Thanks for making my last wash at your place a memorable one. - Resolved! Back up to 4 stars for the follow up from the owner. Thanks!!

Been going here since they opened but man is this place going down hill. I always use the big truck bays. And the last time I was in there I ended up covered in grease that I didn’t notice was on the pressure wash wand.. before I knew it my jacket, hat and the top felt liner inside the truck all hit with grease.. Every other car was I go to is so clean and taken care of and then there’s this place. I literally have to spend my own money wash the floors every time I come through because who wants to wash their nice white truck then drive through an inch of mud on the floor… pictures of jacket and truck.. hat went to the garbage before this post.

I love this car wash! It‘a hands down the best car wash place in the SE. I like the whole shark and reef theme. I went there a few days ago and there was a big lineup outside the self-serve bays and two employees came out and gave each car a dashboard wipe, car freshener and and a list of their packages. I thought that was really nice given the long line. I’ve been wanting to try the touch less automatic car wash and after seeing so many vehicles go through it with club cards while I was waiting in line I’m definitely going to give it a try next time. Overall, this is a great car wash and worth checking out!

***Update Dec.11 2023 - The automatic wash is still very unreliable after the "upgrades" and is quite often out of service. Thinking about cancelling my membership as it's getting to the point of not being worth it anymore*** I have been a member here for over a year now and the automatic wash is only open maybe 1 out of every 3 times that I go there. I'm not sure why it needs maintenance so often but it seems that it's always closed. Almost not worth it to have a membership anymore. The wash is great though, when it actually is open.

  • Haylie Will

I first came here and used the hand wash option. It was 5 stars but today I came and paid almost $30 for their most premium wash option. Not only was the wait painfully long (not their fault) but then the quality of what happened to my car was not worth it. My mirrors are still dirty but the windows clearly have streaks of clean but the grime is still on. There are water droplets that dried and left marks (normal) but the price they charge and the quality given is laughable. Terrible, save your money and go elsewhere.

  • James

Automatic wash is decent but it goes down often for maintenance related issues. I was informed they are getting rid of the basic package so you will now have to pay $11 more a month more for the upgraded package that really does not seem much better. In addition, if you buy your pass at any other Great White location, you can use it at all locations except for the Dufferin location. Because of these things I am debating whether or not to renew my pass for 2024.

EDIT-Nov 4- They were busy today so I decided to do a machine wash. Selected the Tiger. Frankly what a rip off. Dirt left on inside if mirror, rockers and trunk. Felt like a huge waste compared to self serve. I wrote an email of disappointment hoping to get some satisfaction. No response in 48hrs so the 5stars takes a hit. October - Self serve. 5 stars. Nice clean location. Gets busy!! Put a smile on my face to clean my "new to me" car

  • Nurmyrat Hapyzov

I was regular customer of automatic wash and visited at least twice a week until I realized it was scratching my car Headlights worse and paint has linear scratches from first brush because they removed Rainbow foam(but still charge me for it) Used to be great car wash with multiple foams but now it’s just a scam especially the subscription. They don’t take responsibility for it, I called multiple times asking for the foam issue fixed

  • Bette P

Today is my first time visiting this car wash since we moved and I am very satisfied with my experience! It’s clean, well maintained and the staff are friendly. I always used the self-serve for my SUV. High (warm) water pressure. Big seven bays. You will not be pressured to wash your car quickly because no one is behind you waiting unlike in Chaparral. Easy to navigate in and out. Everything worked well. I will definitely be back!!

  • Crystal murray

I thought I would try the new car wash out to see how it was. Had to go through twice because it didn't take off the dirt the first time ( as said in another review not really Suv friendly). Then once I started driving I noticed that there were tiny chips in my windshield from the wash. Tried to call them twice but no answer either time. Not happy with my experience here at all, and will not be recommending them.

  • Stewart Reed

The company I work for had a account there so we can wash our trucks. At first it was good, soap great, good pressure etc Now…almost every time I go something isn’t working …no soap, bays closed, rear station not working etc The young guys working there are good but usually can’t fix the problem…”maintenance guy is coming” “I’ve called the boss” etc Ownership/Management needs to do a better job

  • Kim Miller

Purchased the 19.00 wash. This is the middle package. Regardless of the package the wash should fully wash the van. The front still has bug guts and the back window still has a film of dirt on it. The wash brushes clearly missed it and the wash guy didn’t manually do it For 19 bucks I would expect to have these covered. If you want a receipt you need to go inside which also was an inconvenience

  • Dylan James

Things seem like they’ve been looked after here. I was getting pretty frustrated with the maintenance of the facility and seemed to be wasting my time every time I came. However my last experience was as good as I could have asked for. There was soap, water pressure, the guns weren’t all twisted and needing a service, the bay I chose wasn’t out of order. Keep it up and I’ll see you next week!

  • Vincent Bussiere

Not a bad car wash. There are Always bays shut down for some reason making it lined up outside. Staff will let the line ups get longer washing bays down instead of moving through customers. It's a bit pricy as well. There are parking spots outside of the building to wipe your vehicle down. The drive through wash is pretty good.

  • REY

This place is amazing and the staff are friendly, accommodating. Better than any other place i’ve experienced! also would like to give a big SHOUT OUT THIS gentleman who work here edriss and azan keep up the good guys!! ❤️ here is my review for both of you ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. in belhalf of ALBERTA DURANGO CREW!!

  • Tejvir Thind

Took my Subie here and I had an extremely happy experience and they definitely gained a weekly customer! Bays are HUGE and extremely clean. Had the pleasure to talk to Sunny and Faraz and they were super chill to talk with! Excellent customer service and definitely my go to place for my weekly car washes!

  • Alden Dela Cruz

Been visiting their business for almost a month now and it’s been amazing and satisfying. They have a good offer of automatic washes and are reasonably priced. People are very welcoming and enthusiastic, and just earlier, the guy Michael handed over another freebies. Highly recommended!

  • Niall Platts

Good options and decent amount of wash bays. Weekends can be busy when the weather is nice but has a tendency to move quickly. Good customer service from the folks who work there. Sometimes giving out dash wipes and air fresheners. Super excited for their Mahogany location to open.

  • Stanislav K.

I still like this place, even for the last time I came here to wash my truck, mud and dirt were everywhere on the floor. I understand we had snowfall a few days before, and I hope you guys keep it clean. I left this place with more dirt on my tires than before I drove in.

  • Darcy Smith

There was hardly any pressure. The manager said, it's because 6 bays were using High Pressure at the same time. You think being a new Car Wash, this wouldn't be a problem. Not impressed and won't be going back to it, as they didn't offer a refund or compensation.

  • Nick Pitts

Probably the best water pressure in town. Wand wash is more expensive but there is real value with their drive thru wash subscription. It seems to be hit or miss if the drive thru wash is open as there are many closures for maintenance or repair.

  • Denny Keem

Horrible car wash, bought the mid level wash which is still $20 and all I got was water and a small amount of soap.. tires didn’t get scrubbed, car was still dirty after and employees didn’t seem to care when I complained. Never returning here

  • CGSC Secretary

Manager was very nice. When I was in a rush he opened the other gate for me when the one wasn’t working. He also gave me the top car wash instead of the one I usually get. Very nice service definitely recommend this location

  • Cengiz Dayioglu

As a monthly member it's getting frustrating at the amount of times the automated car wash isn't working properly. Today the big brush that rolls over the car wasn't working. So I ask, how well did my car get washed?

  • torilee smith

Went here for the first time and Used the wand wash. Did the same routine I've done at every car wash and it left a white film on My car and did not even look like I washed it. Good thing it rained the following day.

  • CHRIS KIRK

Hands down the best wash in the city. Im on my 3rd great white pass. The value cant be beat. Others try but fail. Quality clean and even hits it with the tire shine.

  • Jake Appleby

Good carwash. Usually not too busy. Sometimes pressure gets low on certain bays and occasionally they close bays for maintenance. Just depends on your luck

  • Carson Heins

This place is way over priced for what they provide. Pretty much every other self serve car wash is cheaper and some of them have more cleaning options.

  • Kenyon Malin

Spent $25 on a self service wash and thirty minutes washing my truck, and the result was horrible. Worst car wash I’ve ever been two. DO NOT GO HERE!

  • Troy Arsenault

Don’t wash your car here, they only use cold water in the wand wash bay’s. Cold water doesn’t clean. If you want a clean car, skip this place.
