This gym is saving my life. It's 5 A.M. My cats have woken me up before my alarm. I grumble and roll out of my bed. The floor creaks as I make my way to the scale. It's less than yesterday, but not nearly enough. I feed the cats and make the same Anabolic French Toast I've been making for the last year. When my son wakes up and he starts to cry, my wife asks me to change his diaper; I oblige. Afterwards I hastily put on my gear, drink my creatine cocktail and sip my coffee as I make my way to the temple... GoodLife Sunridge. I arrive at Sunridge GoodLife at 6:03 AM. It's not always sunny, but it is in my mind. I am greeted hospitably by one of the many amazing GoodLife Staffers. This morning it is Mia, a smart, hardworking, and knowledgeable trainer. She's been substituting in for Kyle while he is on vacation, visiting his family. She greets me warmly "Late again are we?" I smile, "Yup, but no time like the present." I scan my tag and the buzzer sounds. "You know Curtis, I've wiped down every piece of equipment in this gym, but that means nothing if you don't wash your gym clothes". She's right of course, I'll add it to the list. I make my way to the treadmill, my therapists are in early today. They're solving the worlds problems and they acknowledge my arrival. "Did you hear? Sunridge GoodLife is going to let us watch cartoons on the TVs between six and seven like we asked!" I'm shocked. We might be in our thirties, but we do love our Paw Patrol. "Sick" I reply, "I wonder how that'll last", ironically, it did not last that long. I look around the gym and see a few new faces. Obviously Rup has been meeting her recruitment quotas. The equipment shimmers in the overhead lighting. It's been busier since the pandemic has ended, but at least people have kept actively cleaning the machines. Mia passes by with the towel bin like clockwork, that girl is driven, I bet she'll run the place one day. It's 6:30AM, time to lift some iron. Walking to the dumbbells' we see some familiar faces, there are many amazing and welcoming people. "Good morning gentlemen!" I don't even know this man's name. "You're looking great! Keep it up!". Moments like this are framed in my memories like pictures. I pause and reciprocate to this man, no, this Greek God. "Good Morning, you're looking great too!" we part ways, he doesn't know how much motivation he's just given me. I pick up the 40's, they're my favorite, and I begin curling. The mirrors show my effort on the outside, but not my resolve on the inside. I look up and see in large text "Something, Something, Good Life" - DPE, his quotes are so awful I have to giggle. I continue to lift and the time flies by. I see the clock, it's nearly 7AM, time to leave the sanctuary. I drag my feet back to the entrance where Mia asks if I had a good workout. She doesn't know this will be the peak of my day. I drive home, back to the grind... but I will be back tomorrow because nothing says "To be, or not to be" like body dysmorphia. Thank you Goodlife and your staff for your hard work, especially during the pandemic.

I was new to Calgary and looking for a gym so decided to check out Goodlife Fitness Sunridge. I decided to sign up to try a membership since they said I would have a 10 day trial period where I could try out the gym and cancel if I changed my mind. They right away take your first payment when you sign up, therefore when I decided I did not want to pay into a 2 year membership I had to worry about trying to get my money back. I went back a day after work before the 10 days was up to cancel and I couldn’t be helped because apparently only 1 manager can cancel memberships and she was in a meeting. The next day I was able to meet with the manager to cancel my account. I asked her to cancel my membership and she tried to guilt trip me by saying “So you are just giving up on your fitness goals?” and when I said that I didn’t want to pay for a membership I may not use come summertime she tried to guilt me again by saying “Your health should be more important than money.” Apparently they need to write a reason for cancellation on the form and she asked me again why I was cancelling because “most people cancel their memberships for a good reason.” First off, I shouldn’t have to defend why I want to cancel a membership and second my money is a good enough reason for me to cancel. Now trying to get my money back was a whole new story, apparently my account was not updated in time and a second payment after I already cancelled was taken out of my account. I tried calling the manager at least a couple times a week, at the beginning we kept missing each other due to both being at work but near the end my phone calls were not being returned at all. I also left a couple of detailed messages with the counter staff when she was not in as to why I needed to be reimbursed for the second payment but did not get a reimbursement in my account or a phone call back. Finally, I was able to get through to the head office in Toronto and I had no problem getting my reimbursement. If I would have known it would have been easier going to head office then I would have called them directly to start rather than having to deal with the manager. I cancelled at the end of January and I finally got completely repaid last week. To say the least I was very unimpressed with the Customer Service at this location and I wish I listened to friends prior to trying out this gym who also had bad experiences with poor customer service at other GoodLife locations

I am a Goodlife member via transfer from Gold's Gym since 1999 and I visit this location often to perform my workouts. I really appreciate the clean change rooms which in most clubs can be super nasty. The equipment is well maintained for the most part, the only exception was one situation a month ago where one machine was out of service for a considerable amount of time but it is now back in service. The staff seems to be friendly but I usually don't have anything to do with them. The gym is also clean and well maintained but this makes it attractive to a large audience which in turn, makes it very difficult to gain access to some of the equipment due to congestion. There are many personal trainers available in this gym however, their fee is quite high compared to others who offer higher quality and more personal training services. Look around, it's not hard to find. Further to that, I was told quite strongly when I joined this place that duffel bags were not allowed in the gym area but I have noticed several guys who bring their dirty and smelly bag with them to each workstation. Another extremely repulsive thing I have seen in this place was some sweaty dude washing his face in the water fountain and slopping his sweat all over the surfaces of the fountain. This was a hugely unacceptable act of disrespect for others and the worst part about it was that it happened with two staff members standing within 3 feet of the guy performing this repulsive act. They said and did absolutely nothing about it. Nor did they address the folks dragging their dirty gym bags to the workstations. I think the staff needs to police the rules that they communicate to the patrons a lot better without practicing dual standards and sending the wrong message to the members. Apart from these negatives, this gym is a good place to perform a workout.

I love this gym and can't let just one employee judge for my experience. However, it cannot be helped that the time I go is always when this employee is working. Before hand to this Ivan was working so we had no problems. My first encounter was amazing for a towel, he proceeded to ask if I pay a towel fee which has never been mentioned to me before which he then checks my account. He tells me I do not pay this towel fee so I cannot get one. fast forward a month later I go to another GoodLife and I ask about said towel fee and they tell me I do pay it. Understandable people make mistakes. Second time coming in was with a new friend I wanted to get a trial for. We scan my card and he tells me that we need to come back during the day to get that. Understandable. Again I went to another GoodLife and discussed that encounter and the employee there tells me that my ultimate pass could've gotten him in for free. My third experience is when I was working out in the personal training area. Keep in mind it's 11:30 pm. He comes up to tell me and ONLY me that I cannot be working out in the personal training section whilst two other people are also working out here. I workout there ever since I've joined and had no problems. This employees name is Jay from what I was told. I'll give my formal complaint. However the gym is fantastic and every other employee is great!

The trainer I have at the gym, Alex Tran, is  highly recommended. I can focus on how to become healthier and lose weight because to his skill, understanding, and patience. I initially become annoyed because he won't let me use the machine and only gives me a little workout, but I realize that he was  simply thinking of my best interests  because I'm still recovering from surgery  and have knee issues, so it all makes sense. I had my doubts about whether I would lose weight by simply carrying out the exercises he recommended, but his knowledge of the foods I should eat has proven to be really  helpful. All I want right now is a healthy body to help me live longer and prevent cancer  remission, as well as to support my mental health and the negative effects of the  hormone medication I'm taking. Having an attractive physique is simply a bonus; all I'm aiming for is a healthy body. I am happier and more motivated, thanks to his help. I also feel lighter, healthier, and have better skin. Dispite receiving hormones medication that can make me gain weight, I'm still losing weight. I've learned so much from him about what we eat and how do exercise properly that I’m delighted to share it to my loved ones. For this reason, I'm grateful to have Alex as my personal trainer.

Wicked friendly helpful staff Adam is very helpful I had Mindy and Carl I think it was for my personal trainer appointment and they were amazing and answered all my questions love this place Couldn’t find a way to post a second review I would like to point out how amazing this facility is and how friendly all the staff are they always wave at me and ask me how I’m doing and actually take an interest in what you have to say they always answer my questions and I’ve never had an issue once I have referred a fair few people here to do a sign with Danny and they have all had awesome things to say after ! He’s super friendly and always has a huge smile on his face. Also had my friend do her sign up here with the super peppy and happy and very sweet Deveda she was very thorough with everything and answer all my friends questions and promoting the facility very well she’s so welcoming to talk to she makes you feel comfortable I highly recommend coming to this facility the atmosphere and vibes from all the happy looking employees here are what make me want to keep coming to this facility even the staff I haven’t grabbed the names of I don’t have a bad thing to say about this place !

My preferred Goodlife Location in the North Area. Big turf space and great equipment. However, one should keep in mind that it is only open for 24 hours from Monday-Thursday which isn't too much of a big deal. Weekend hours are too short but it's an easy fix with Deerfoot close by. Another thing is that I wish rules were stricter regarding Sauna Use. Members don't seem to understand that wearing full dirty gym clothes and shoes IN the Sauna is unsanitary! I brought this up to the front desk one time and they didn't do anything about it. I was told to maybe wait it out and that they do not have rules regarding that and I had to point out that the sign posted by the door clearly says otherwise. We're all sharing the same space and paying the same membership. One group should not be told to wait it out just because others don't understand that basic knowledge. We should be mindful about everyone who is going to use it. Plus you don't get full sauna benefits wearing clothes in the sauna anyway. Bring swim wear / wear a towel at least!

I did my first personal training session with Neil - Neil was recommended by one of the staff members I believe it was Kenneth? I could be wrong with the name (he was also super nice!), but I just want to say Neil is the BEST! He has an outgoing personality, he made the workout so fun to the point where it felt like we were hanging out to get a good workout in. Even though I've been working out for a while he showed me some equipment I've never used before, and shared his tips and tricks for the gym - breathing techniques too. I am honestly so glad that my first personal training session was with him. All of the staff members are super nice at the front desk too as always! The equipment is also nice and commercial gym friendly. If you ever thought about personal training and did not know who to do it with, I say try Neil :) He is super awesome, great person and highly recommend! I am very thankful to the front desk member who referred me to Neil as well (:

After having a bad experience with a few trainers, I was ready to cancel my training sessions. Lucky for me I received a call from Robin asking me to try one session with him in December 2021. I was skeptic but I decided to give it a shot. I was blown away with his professionalism, knowledge, and keen desire to help me achieve my goals. With previous trainers - there was always the issue of them never holding me accountable- which is precisely why you get a trainer to begin with. Robin genuinely cares about you and it shows in everything that he does. Of course, no amount of training can beat a poor diet, but Robin makes sure that he checks in regularly to see how it’s going - just that bit of accountability keeps you moving in the right direction. So far I’ve lost about 18 pounds with him and excited to see what the future will bring. If you’re looking for a trainer, I’d 100% recommend him.

I belonged to another gym in Calgary and ended my membership several months ago due to several reasons but mainly the gym did not fit my standards. Once I heard a new GoodLife was opening near my place of employment, I was excited to join! From the beginning the staff have been great. I signed on with Deveda, who is always pleasant and professional while making you feel like a friend. The front desk staff always greet me pleasantly when I arrive and everyone is smiling! You can tell they love working there. There facility is huge and I have never had to wait to complete my workout. I signed up for personal training which will begin next week, and I am thrilled with the level of commitment they are showing towards my goals. I haven't had the chance to try the classes yet, but am eager to experience the variety that GoodLife offers. Keep up the good job everyone! You guys rock!

Front desk staff are very friendly, but management is the worst at this location. I joined this gym in Aug 2021 because of the location and that it was advertised as 24 hours per day. Considering this is supposed to be a 24 hour gym, customers sit in the parking lot waiting for somebody to show up on many occasions. I have waited for over a hour on the weekend, which I complained multiple times and asked a manager to call me, but never received a response even once. It is advertised as a 24 hour gym, but is only open 24 hours 4 days a week and is closed on holidays. Also the equipment is always broken and is never maintained. Since the membership fees are not the lowest around, you would at least think they could employ someone to maintain the equipment so it doesn't break on the members causing them to get hurt while using it. Not a good value for the money.

I had taken first five sessions with their Level 4 trainer Jose Delgado.I paid $175 for these sessions and I regret why did I pay so much for learning nothing. He didn’t guide me on my diet neither he told me anything regarding taking protein. Also, he didn’t even train me for working on my legs or upper body. He just made me work on 4-5 equipments everyday and never used to complete the entire one hour of the sessions. These directions are always mentioned on the equipment itself. Also, as I was beginning with weight training so I didn’t know that we need to do upper body and lower body on alternate days and he never told that to me. So, I kept on doing whole body for 4-5 months until someone guided me. He doesn’t even deserve one star rating. So, anybody who is planning to get training under him, please don’t end up wasting your money like me.

Robin has been my trainer for a little over two months, and I’m very pleased with the results so far. My goal is to build lean muscle (hypertrophy), and since I’ve been training with Robin, I’ve gained 2.5 pounds of muscle (results are visible)! Robin is also a nutrition coach who provides useful and necessary guidance about how many calories I need to consume each day from muscle building foods. He’s also designed an exercise program (tailored to my goal) that is challenging, enjoyable, and yields results! He’s honest, serious about my success, and entertains any questions I have about exercise and nutrition. This is important if you want to be more competent and effective in the gym, and to learn about the key role of diet and nutrition in exercise. If you’re looking for a well-rounded trainer at Goodlife, Robin is the one!

Staffs not all but few on the access control were amazingly horrible on Oct 08/20 5pm to 6pm regarding mask policy. All of the members on the line up had mask except 3 gentleman who were easily given access without a mask in a great welcoming manner. Couple of days ago same staff was on a discussion with a member for not having a mask while making an entry. And i guess you guys have policy to have wear mask while making an entry/exit and on the close hallway to the changing rooms. I feel like if these safety measures doesn’t apply to the close people you know? If you wanna enforce your policies or follow the law in a proper manner then just do it, we are comfortable with that. You guys may have heard that few fitness center in Calgary had a covid breakout so better watch and ensure safety for everyone. Thank you.

  • Isura Baranage

Estela is an amazing trainer!!! I have been training with her for over 6 months. She spends time before every training session planning it to ensure that it met my goals, which was increasing strength, and improving flexibility. In addition to helping me with training, she has also helped me with dietary requirements and has me eating much healthier and to meet my training needs. Estela has a lot of wisdom when it comes to breathing techniques which has helped me being able to push harder and have faster recovery between sets. She will push you to the limit but will ensure that you maintain the appropriate technique and will motivate you throughout. Whether you are a beginner or have trained at the gym before I would highly recommend having Estela as a trainer.

  • Mike K

Great facility. Spacious with lots of equipment. Friendly staff. If anyone is looking for a trainer, I would recommend the services of Robin. Robin has all the facets of a good trainer. He is very attentive, as he is always checking to make sure that you use good form. He is also knowledgeable about nutrition, so he can help you come up with a meal plan that gets results. Finally, he is a trainer that genuinely wants to see you succeed. He is constantly checking in on your progress and holding you accountable. Robin has been my trainer for 9 months now. I've tried out many workout programs in the past, but this is first time that I've seen noticeable results. I have another 9 months to go and I'm excited for the results that I'll be seeing at the end of it.

Came to this GoodLife Fitness location for the first time since I'm visiting from out of time and it is spacious and has a lot of equipment available. There is parking available at the front of the building. I did find that no one follows the rules and regulations being mandated for COVID19 and the employees don't do anything about it either. Towel service is not available so there is no point of paying the highest level of membership available. Even though there is a lot of equipment available, you will find that you are waiting for machines, especially the Olympic weight platform and squat rack. People who work out at this location would spend over 30 minutes to do their set of 1 workout for they'll be away chatting with friends or on their phone.

Over a month ago I started exercising with Mark as my personal trainer. Prior in meeting Mark. I was doing my exercises at home and copied exercise videos in youtube but there is no improvement with my body. So I decided to go to the gym and I met Mark. I knew that he is the perfect coach for me. He is professional, kind, patient, and understanding. His encouragement has given me the confidence to start the program. Mark created an interesting workouts that allowed me to improve my upper body’s strength, my biceps, and flexibility. His knowledge in facilitating different exercises is fantastic. I can definitely say that my body progresses very fast with his help. I highly recommend Mark to be your trainer!

  • Rae Procyszyn

Awesome Gym with Fantastic Staff. Had my first opportunity to work out at the Sunridge GL location today. I was a nervous newbie and the gal at the front desk took time to tell me where to go and who to connect with for my class. She put me right at ease. The RPM instructor was amazing - she helped me set up my bike so I know how for next time and checked in with me after the class. 2 fantastic professional women! The gym itself is super clean, well lit and all around welcoming. Compared to the experience I had at the Northland location, it's hard to believe this is the same chain! Shows what a difference great leadership and excellent people can make! I highly recommend this location.

  • Amy Williams

I have been going to Goodlife in Sunridge for a while, I have experienced a lot of supportive staff and have enjoyed the group fitness classes. Recently, I have decided to try personal training (PT). I would highly recommend Robin as a PT, he is supportive, encouraging, well organized, motives and holds you accountable. I have seen more positive results from inches and weight lost than I have doing it by myself. I am grateful that I decided to invest in a PT. Thank you Robin for help with another 10lbs down, your encouragement, personalized workout and nutritional advice have kept me motivated to keep going strong. Been a life changing experience!

  • Lien Truong

I do enjoy going to this gym very much and I am openly adhering to the masking rules and in support of that. Great gym and overall good community. I don't want to be telling anyone on what they should be doing when walking around without a mask but I've noticed your employees, (when off working hours) when they are working out themselves, aren't adhering to the very masking rules your organization set (allowing masks off at stations but required when walking around the gym). I'm sure your clients recognize them when they are walking around the gym without the mask, so shouldn't they set a good example as well and make it safer for everyone else?

  • Dr Sheena Christy

I have been in Goodlife for more than an year now, I work with a personal trainer Robin. When I started training, my main aim was to loose weight and I am happy to say that I have more than 15 lbs with the intensive training and guidance by Robin. Robin makes training customized for my health goals, he is very encouraging and motivates and guides not only for the exercises, but also for the food intake and dietary goals. He is very knowledgeable and experienced in his field and guides regarding the exercises techniques and how to maintain correct posture Highly recommend Robin as a personal trainer.

  • Aulora Alexander

I have really enjoyed working with my personal trainer Estella! 6 months ago i could barely run up a flight of stairs without being winded. Now i can run down the street for a 15 minute jog. no problem ^^ It's been very healing, as she's helped me connect with my body. Which in turn, has helped my mental health immensely too =) great results so far and im happy. Overall the gym is extremely convenient for me. Fairly clean. Maybe not as fancy as some, but good enough for my needs. The equipment is good. Estella has also been great at working around my schedule and last minute conflicts. =)

  • Andres Arce

This location is the worse! No respect. There was a guy working out whit 2 machines at the time i ask if i could work on one while he was doing the other one, he just been so rude so i call the staff cause i didn't want to confront him.. so they came they said work together on both machines. I said no cause he was just to rude and disrespectfull i don't want to have nothing to do whit people like that rigth.. the lady just walk away and did nothing like no care for customers. So after i could not do my workout and i had to leave because i felt harassed cause he was just staring at me.

  • Tara Y

I had a fantastic experience with this GoodLife location!!! I’ve tried a number of different gyms before like Repsol, YMCA and a trial membership with a different GoodLife location but this was the first time that I successfully had a well rounded good experience. Everything from customer service to personal training was above and beyond what I expected. Three months ago, I couldn’t even do 2 push ups. Today, I’m doing a conventional dead lift with 100lbs. I’m super thankful that I found this location and great team that provided me with a well rounded experience!!

  • Michelle Nguyen

Went in to inquire prices and what packages Goodlife offers. I was seated and approached by a Fitness associate. He started off saying he’s a new employee and whatnot. He pushed me to write my personal details and sign a waiver form (I was quite hesitant, as I just wanted information on their services). He went on saying that since manager isn’t present he would give a discount and give us a better deal.. Just because of his approach, I got a very negative feeling and left confused. Maybe the other staff are better and not deceiving..

  • Emmanuel Ortiz

This a great gym! It has lots of cardio equipment and the installations are great! However, it’s missing important equipment like the Olympic style barbells equipment that has wood floor and two cushions on the sides. They only have one for everyone and two more for the personal trainer area. I would love them to put the equal amount of equipment for those who does hardcore exercises. Also, would love to see tan machines and hydro massage beds. Overall the gym is great and the waiting times between machines are reasonable.

  • Winner_reviews

Gym is always busy. Staff at the front have horrible customer service. You will be lucky to get even a “hi” out of them. Then one day something happened with my membership and the lady at the front said I couldn’t come in at all and I couldn’t workout today I said I would like to speak to a manager so she calls back within 2 seconds says it’s all good and I can come workout? Wat kind of customer service is that? There’s none there at all. Such bad attitude for such a easy job!!!

  • decaf espresso

friendly and professional staff, they’re always greeting their clients. i still have to try their classes though as it looks fun. equipments can be an annoyance sometimes as some of them always have under repair note posted on them, but they hav’em fixed in days or a week. paper towels and spray bottles are conveniently placed everywhere same as their drinking fountains. pretty clean gym and washrooms, and there always seems to be a person cleaning the place all the time.

  • Tylerr W

By far the best facility of all the goodlife I have been to in the city, well lit, lots of natural light and high ceilings make for a nice atmosphere. Front staff are hit and miss, some are nice and will greet you, others could care less to even make eye contact. Biggest plus of this gym is the cleanliness, cleaning staff are always around and usually on top of everything. Rarely will supplies to wipe down equipment be unavailable. Kudos to them for their hard work!

  • Sophie Powell

I have been working with Mark as my personal trainer for past 5 months and recently extended it for next 6 months. He is amazing. Super friendly, flexible and very very knowledgeable. He is an expert in functional training and does not limit the workout to equipments only. Any time I finish a session, my body is having a real WORKOUT. I have made lots of progresses and I see changes after every single session that I accomplish. He is highly highly recommended.

  • Jennifer Nguyen

I just had a very poor experience with GoodLife sunridge staff on the weekend. Came here on a Saturday to ask a few questions regarding the membership and found the front staff extremely rude and dismissive. She did not seem to care and want to listen to any questions I had to ask. She was also not very welcoming either. Staff on the weekdays are generally nicer but wow, left a poor taste in my mouth and it makes me not want to come back!

  • Cee Cue

30,000sqft gym with no EZ Bar Cable Attachment. They had one, but who knows where that went. I suspect the staff do not weight train at this location as, if they did, surely one person would recognize this attachment is non-existing. When they did have one, literally one, it would be always in use. Kindly reply to this review if you would like me to purchase a couple to donate to this gym - I will take one for the team...

  • alec medina

Believe the bad reviews and the pictures everyone don't waste your hard earned cash on this fitness buy a membership Scam. A picture tells a thousand words the equipment is derelict someone's going too get I injured and will sue. The ONLY good reviews are from the staff making it look like they care making people wait to open on time all they care about is their monthly membership fees which keep going up its a total scam

  • M Taylor

$150 enrollment fees, even for returning members which is super disappointing. I would expect better customer service. And either $28 or $30 biweekly payments depending if you want access to just 1 or all locations. I highly reccomend checking out Pro Fitness Group if you are looking for a gym in the area, only $20 biweekly and no contract or ridiculous enrollment fee. All the same equipment and far less busy.

  • Sang “fainsters” Nguyen

Great service and great management/workers there. Dayna, Jenny and Rup are all great helpers and advisors to the gym. There is plenty of space at the gym and plenty of machines and weights for everyone to use. I could not express how good it feels to be back in the gym and have those three greet you and guide you with support. I enjoy this gym and will always be coming back to this good life fitness spot.

  • Shirley Luong

Love how spacious and clean it is! Huge lockers, dry sauna, and bright showers! I love the amount of machines and space there are. Only thing I would change is if they were able to make it fully 24 hours. It is open 24 hours Monday to Thursday and closes Friday at 11pm. Weekends are 8am-8pm which is inconvenient because these are the only days I'm able to workout late at night.

  • Andy

A complete scam. They charged me for 6 months after multiple times that I cancelled the subscription and this is after the 3 months notice. I had to call them back and forth, every time the service desk plays innocence and acts like they don't know anything. They kept on telling me that it's done for me but every month is the subscription renews itself and charges my account.

I am working with a personal trainer, Robin, who has been very supportive throughout my launch back into a gym after nearly 10 years away. Robin has customized activities to achieve my goals of better mobility and enhanced balance. Robin keeps the activities varied and he keeps me accountable to my goals. I highly recommend Robin as a guide on your healthy living journey.

I recently started taking the BollyX classes at the Sunridge location and I am loving the classes. Classes are fun with awesome upbeat music and great energy. If you love Bollywood music and dancing but don’t know the moves then this would be the class to take Lol I have also lost a few pounds since I started these classes. It’s a great workout, I highly recommend it!

  • Cindy Pierson

They don't maintain any of the equipment. Many items are broken down every time we go. A treadmill looks like it works and then you start it up and it doesn't work properly. One time I had to change my treadmill 5 times before I found one that worked. Not sure if the price is worth the problems. Today at least 5 pieces of equipment had broken down signs on them.

  • Komasaar Comrade

Why do you guys close so early on weekends compared to other gyms? You also have a lack of "Good Equipment" compared to other locations across Canada, and just focus on cardio machines. You guys never replace broken machines, but just "fix' them every time. Get some new machines and open for 24 hours as indicated by the giant sign that you guys have outside.

  • MZ

My gym and I love this place. Too busy at times, so I always recommend you either go early in the morning or after 7:00 PM. Never tend to visit between 2-6 PM, very crowded. The only thing that sucks about this gym is that it isn't 24/7. Good life is messing with everyone, its only 4 days a week 24/7... They shouldn't do that, it's cheating :)

  • Chao Yu

As a GoodLife PT member for a very longtime. On the July 8th,2023, the front desk lady don’t provide shower tower since I see the other customer has the tower and it was happened in the morning. I am all the way come to Calgary for the stampede and this the bad experience that I have to surfer. Not a good way to start a day.

  • Itskiakiakia

the advisor was very rude and just immediately kicked us out when we were trying to get our membership settled, she didn't assist us and not interested to help us more, the way how other Goodlife does. Would like to speak to their speak with the management very soon that was very unacceptable it feels like she's a racist.

  • Jeanine

No tanning, way too much cardio equipment, not cleaned enough, very very overcrowded. Over all lacking hygiene and equipment maintenance is sub-par. Constantly searching for carabiners for the cable machine- who takes those?! Staff are very friendly, I give them that but probably the worst good life I've ever been in.

  • Hayden Power

I love coming to this place every morning for my workout. Matt up front is always a pleasure to talk to and he leaves a good, lasting impression for the gym in my mind. Reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is because the gym normally has a few broken prices of equipment or a faulty, dirty sauna and is slow to get it fixed.

  • Dominica “Dyno” Witt

I love this location, my favorite is Tuesday night zumba worth Lisa she totally rocks! The staff is really friendly and helpful, the jump group is great with my youngest son. Only down side, sometimes the equipment takes a bit to be repaired and it's not open 24 hours on the weekend. Love this location though.

  • Karlos Salma

Turf is great, however it's hard to train when there is so many people doing "cardio" (skipping ropes) in front of the mirror. Music sucks, bring your headphones. If you come to the gym please stay away from your phone, people actually come to train. Don't waste our time if you are not using the equipment.

  • Evan Harries-Darago

Good gym. Wish it was 24/7. Some of the equipment has been neglected for a bit (usually the wearable parts like hand grips and foot grips on machines) but most of it is in good working order. Machines typically get fixed fast when the chords break. Staff is always very friendly and gym is always clean.

  • Taz

I have been attending Megan's zumba classes at this gym, and I must say, I am getting the best workout, and having tons of fun while I am at it. I highly recommend Megan's Tuesday and Friday zumba classes, as it doesn't feel like exercise, just a fun dance class, yet getting the very best workout!!!

  • James Eaton

Staff are great but there seems to be way to many pieces of cardio equipment. So much space wasted on equipment not being used during the busiest hours of the day. There’s just too many people at peak hours and I feel like they could accommodate some of that rush with properly equipping the gym.

  • Ajeet Choudhary

Cleaning in Men’s change area, washrooms and spa room is where management should pay attention, showers drainage gets always blocked and sauna spa room stinks seems like never gets cleaned, management can you please look after these issues as this is not happening once but its continuous, thanks

  • Jason Lewis

Deveda is awesome, very kind and professional. She was incredibly helpful when it came to getting any of my questions or inquiries answered about my gym membership. I highly recommend this goodlife to anyone for the staff is very friendly and it's a great environment to work out in!!

  • Julius Jacob

Incredible gym, best gym I've been to in years! Keisha, Kyle, Shayla were very warm and welcoming, welcoming me with open arms like family. This gym is excellent for beginners all the way to seasoned athletes meeting all of your gym needs. If I lived in Canada, this would be my gym.

  • Youssef Hanna

I just switched over from GL Deerfoot that’s smaller and is more of a fashion show with rude staff to a much bigger gym that has nicer staff and people that are more interested in working out and an actual deadlift platform. I highly recommend this branch over Deerfoot anytime.

  • Thanh Pham

One of the better Goodlife I've visited! Overall nice check-in staff, Towel services and well maintained/clean. Majority of times if an equipment is dmg, they're on top of it. Compared to other Goodlife, there is a slight difference in equipment selection but no big deal.

  • Nick

Phi is an awesome trainer! He's always trying to push you enough in a way that's attainable. He gives you a solid foundation on technique for exercises that are essential to any workout. Those that are starting out in the gym will greatly benefit from training with Phi.

  • Ally Houseman

Super clean, super friendly. Even at peak times there is space to do your thing! The classes are amazing as well. Body Combat with all instructors at this location is top notch. Love the green space with the giant mirrors and access to all sorts of free weights.

  • Michael Grant

The manager decided to change our Group Fitness class date and didn’t bother giving anyone any notice. So a group of people showed up on Tuesday and found out the class was moved to Monday instead. Super unprofessional and a slap in the face to us a regulars.

  • huy nguyen

Today, Deveda helped us sign up for a membership for my cousin. She was very thorough and helpful with any concerns and questions. She's an excellent and enthusiastic worker at the Sunridge location. I would recommend anyone who needs help to contact Deveda.

  • Mohit Sinha

Gym is good but the culture and service is not good. People working here put you under immense pressure to buy their plans and personal training programs. At this point I don’t think their priority is the persons health but they just want to sign contracts!

  • Ryan Sandhu

Great gym. I go to it everyday, has all the equipment you need with friendly staff that are always there to help. Do avoid it at the busy times (3-6), as it'll be extremely crowded and wait times for certain machines and the free weight area can be long.

  • Brady M

Increased fees, decreased hours and still can't open the gym on time leaving people waiting in parking lot for currently 45 mins and counting. The staff don't seem to care about cleaning and would rather just talk with each other at the front.

  • A Clay

I am not a gym person but I visited with my boyfriend just for a drop in and was super impressed with this facility. It is really nicely laid out and the change rooms look so fancy for a gym. The facility and the staff made me want to return.

  • Ruby Zt

Not professional at all! I called before my hold was ending and asked them to extend it and the girl on the phone confirmed that its on hold! A couple weeks later, I was charged! This is the 2nd time it happened where my account was on hold

  • K S

First time coming in today after years of being away and Deveda truly made my experience back so easy going, amazing and I even left feeling powerful. She really does make you feel validated and heard. Great associate to have at Goodlife :)

  • Sammy Xiang

I have been working with my Personal Trainer Mark for the past a few months, and I must say that my fitness journey has been absolutely transformed under his guidance. Mark is a phenomenal personal trainer who goes above and beyond to help

  • Josh Fleming

Hey GoodLife Management! I’m at your gym right now and am VERY IMPRESSED with your staff, the cleanliness, and the warnings that are everywhere. Thank you for ensuring we are all doing what we can to be safe when around fellow gym goers!

  • Ayush Maan

Has great space, parking is a breeze, not too busy even during peak times. But the male locker/ washroom/ sauna maintenance is appalling. Almost puked walking into the sauna last night, if cleanliness is maintained could be a great gym.

  • Maya Maya

Joined for personal training 4 session and the first Session is just asking the goal, took weight and blood pressure. Not satisfied. They should at least start to work out. Not worth paying money. Another bad experience was my husband

  • Chris Gardiner (SystemError223)

Love the setup of this gym but the fact it says 24 hours in giant letters on the side of it pisses me off because it's not 24 hours. Every holiday I gotta drive to the deerfoor goodlife. You can't get anyone to work weekend nights or

  • Belal Uddin

I've been working out at this gym for over 11 months and the staff is amazing. I work for an airline, so finding time to go to the gym for training is difficult. Robin fitness trainer worked around my schedule and was extremely

  • Anita V

Great gym with a variety of equipment and weights, haven’t had to wait except for a bench during peak times after work. Clean, good layout and lots of space. Would love to see the addition of Wifi like other GoodLife locations!

  • Carly Henry

Kindest staff I have ever come across at a gym! Such a pleasant environment. Was gifted PT sessions and my trainer was Mark. He was awesome and really helped me with my goals! Gym of choice for sure, and close to my work. :)

  • Stephie Love

I actually love this place. I was scared I would be judged but the clients and the staff are kind. I go during the day to avoid the night rush Stephanie the blonde reception is always so friendly to us. Devada made it super

  • Barthowlmula Nigga

Gym makes no sense idk why there is big 24/7 every where but they close so early half the week this manger or owner needs to stop being cheap and open gym for longer fix your gym you cheap stake pay employees for longer

  • Zivvy O

Went here for the first time after not working out for a month after moving from the east coast. This gym is amazing, friendly staff, lots of equipment and not too busy even during supper time. Definitely recommend

  • Taylor Kushniruk

I like working out here. Equipment is semi clean.the washrooms and shower are clean. But it can be hot inside and they are not open 24hours like they advertise.... These photos are taken at 7:30 in the morning

  • Alexandra Lalonde

Actually one of my favorite locations so far on this side of the city. Even the "busy time" after work doesn't seem as busy as other locations. The people who attend here generally seem more friendly as well.

  • aldrin davis

Very neat, clean, spacious gym with lots of equipments. not so crowded, which is great plus. I have never been there in evening rush hour, so I can’t really give any idea of that. staff is helpful.

  • Shahnavaz Vora

Well maintained Gym with great variety of equipments. Gym is quite big and you alway get equipments to workout even during the peak hour (with slight wait time). Overall, I am having a good time.

  • Stefanie Mercer

1 month in and I like my personal training sessions to help manage chronic pain. I am looking forward to trying out some classes when I am strong enough. Nice gym machines, clean change rooms.

  • Raman Patel

Every cable cross machines are broken since more than a month. Seriously is this the GoodLife fitness standard? I do not want to post the picture this time. But hope you ll fix this in a week.

  • Paul Reinhart

Friendly staff and lots of room. Been working with an excellent trainer on staff; Robin. I'd recommend Robin and Goodlife to anyone wanting to get serious about their health and weight goals.

  • Sal Day

Definitely my favorite GL in town just because of the staff, Shayla, Preet، Sarah and Siham are my favorite staff, friendly staff and users overall compared to DT branch where I went before

  • Sohaib Shahid

Only thing preventing this from being 5 stars is the fact that they aren’t 24/7. Otherwise this gym clean, well maintained and probably the one of the better GoodLife’s in the city

  • J I

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. Zero stars is not an option, and I wish it was. Went in this afternoon to check this place out, and see about a membership for

  • Joyce Tse

New, spacious and clean gym!! I especially love Atisha's Bolly X classes they are my favorite!!! They are so much fun and I highly recommend them!

  • Maha Kaka

The gym is great, equipment, hygiene everything is 10/10. Staff is very friendly. I’d certainly give this gym a 5 star if it had a boxing bag.

  • Adel Moraywed

Definitely the most spacious gym, and the best spot to workout in the city, no matter where I live in the city this will be my favourite spot

  • Amandeep Hayer

I noticed the new Goodlife opening up and decided to join. This gym was is leaps and bounds ahead of its competition. For starters you can

  • Akashdeep Singh

Great environment and love the gym! Siham was such a great help as she giving out fresh towels great, funny and bubbly personality

  • Daniel Valvasori

This location like most goodlifes lacks equipment cleaning. It's disgusting. Management for goodlife please fix this.

  • Warren Cordeiro

Good facility and equipment. Always packed though....if you go between 5 and 9 pm there is never any

  • joanne tran

I love BollyX classes with Atisha as the instructor on Sundays. She is very active, and creative.

  • Akhil Valupadasu

Mark, the trainer... Good motivator, a better fitness trainer, best one to get trained by.

  • Michelle Phan

Friendly staff and very clean! Just wish it was open 24 hours everyday.

  • Vi Le

The gym is really clean and staff are professional and attentive.

  • Zach Alonzo
