This was my second time coming here. The first time, I hated the overall experience, but the cut was decent and prices are more affordable than nearby competitors, so I came back for a new haircut. This time, the experience was so-so, but the cut…. SO disappointing. I told the stylist what I wanted, and had pictures of my goals. (I also said I understand that these photos have styled hair with products and don’t necessarily show the natural cut, but that I wanted my hair to have the ability to be styled like that.) I had long, thick hair, so there was a lot of material to work with to make it happen. Fast forward to today (a few days later, since I wanted the opportunity to give the benefit of the doubt and try styling it for a few days) and now, I HATE my hair. A lot. I’ve cried. Not at all what I asked for, and so short and thinned out that I’m scared to try to take it to another salon to fix it. Lesson learned: Go ahead and splurge on a haircut somewhere else. When my hair looks good, I feel good, and to me that’s worth it. Right now my hair looks like garbage and I feel like garbage too.

I was a bit hesitant at first trying a new place after quite some time, but I do not regret my decision! My hair stylist, Carla, was amazing and patient with me the moment I walked in and right before I left. She made my hair look and feel amazing and as well as making me feel comfortable with my first visit. The establishment is extremely clean and well organized and, if anyone was curious, they do adhere to COVID rules and regulations. They instruct you to wash your hands first before signing in along with taking a temperature with a no skin contact thermometer. They also wash up and wear masks and gloves before taking care of you. Also, the music they play is freaking great! I tend to be cautious trying out new places especially when it comes to my hair, but her easy going and helpful demeanor and made my visit extremely relaxing and overall exciting! I cannot wait to come back and get a clean up done or try a new hair style. Thank you Good Beauty for making me feel and look beautiful ✌️

I moved to the area in early June and needed a desperate haircut and color. The previous work on my hair was horrendous and the stylist I went to for about 12 years retired, so I had to find a new stylist. We all know finding and trusting someone with your hair is the most nerve-wracking task. I stumbled upon Good Beauty when I was looking for a nail salon, but used them as a hair salon instead. Having thick, Indian hair, and wanting to dye it never really go hand in hand. However, Amber was able to transform my hair into something I love. She listened to what I wanted, we talked about how I can achieve my look, and outside of that, she wanted to get to know me as a person. I have seen her three times for toner and cut, and I leave happier each time. I really trust my hair in her hands. The salon overall is clean, welcoming, plays great music, and creates an atmosphere of letting you relax. I do not see a better salon in Chicago than Good Beauty.

I got a good hair cut here, like my hair looks great. But my stylist didn’t take any time to explain process or products. Or check in with me thought the cut. She seemed annoyed that I asked for loose waves with my style and said there wasn’t anytime. I told her about my hair goals/concerns and she recommended nothing, when I was really looking for help. I asked about coloring prices for a future appointment and she seemed uninterested in helping me. I didn’t feel welcome or like she even wanted my business. I explained that I had shoulder surgery recently and wasn’t able to do my own hair, so maybe I was looking a bit rough but Elizabeth was pretty rude.

All around my favorite and only spot I go to. Carla was TRULY heaven sent as my curls were dying and my hair just had zero body or volume, she brought my curls back to life and my hair is finally growing again. Not only did she cut my hair, she took the time to really educate me on the products and show me how to use them which I desperately needed. I’ve gotten NON-STOP compliments on my hair and where I go. GOOD BEAUTY ON MILWAUKEE with my girl Carla and she’ll HOOK YOU UP. love it here, never trusting anyone else with my head. I have been going to Amber for years now. On top of being a sweetheart she works magic with her fingers. I’ve had platinum blonde hair for 16 years now. She has got my hair to not just look fabulous, but to get it to grow. I don’t trust anyone else with my hair. She really listens to you and wants to know what you want to get out of your appointment. She does an amazing job. My hair is a pain in the butt. It doesn’t process the same all over. She takes her time and doesn’t rush the process. The salon is also inviting and clean. It’s an enjoyable time relaxing in there while Amber pampers me.

Do yourself a favor and don’t go anywhere else. The whole salon is filled with so much talent. They are also happy to share knowledge with you if you’re curious. I’ve never had a bad hair, nail or even brow wax experience here. They will be upfront with what it will take to make your vision a reality (thank god) and make suggestions on what will make you look amazing. The space itself is very modern, clean, and relaxing to be in. They also run really good promos! And finally, everyone is just so very kind and friendly. Good Beauty is my happy place! And it should be yours, too.

Great service and QUALITY! I have curly hair and enjoy wearing it both curly and straight. Carla has cut my hair for over 4 years and it is the healthiest it has been my whole life. I was reluctant to dye my hair since I had finally grown my hair out from damage done previous hairstylist. Last year, I dyed my hair for the first time over 5 years and it is the best decision I made.NO REGRETS! I have learned so much about hair care and nutrition. I highly recommend their products. It is worth the extra money spent. I am super relieved I found GOOD BEAUTY. Well-earned 5 stars!

I went here for a consultation with Amber. She was so inviting & sweet from the moment I sat down. Completely listened to my vision, talked me through steps, pricing, etc. For someone who hadn't done anything to their hair in years, I needed someone who I could trust. She gave me good vibes right away. Went back for a haircut which she absolutely killed it at, and going back next month for a complete color makeover. This is my place. Amber is amazing. She is super sweet and personable. I’m usually not very talkative during my appointments but amber made me feel super comfortable and relaxed. I went in to dye my hair for the first time, and was pretty nervous. I have dark brown hair that’s had it fair share of yucky dyes from a box, but I was in great hands! Heidi worked on my hair for close to three hours and did an amazing job!!! I love how the red color turned out and will definitely be returning. Heidi was attentive, listened to what I wanted, and gave great advice concerning the best color fit for my hair. Definitely visit good beauty!

I changed my hair stylist after 8 years and have no regrets. Carla is super attentive and always has the best recommendations for my hair care. I have curly hair and it’s really difficult to find a stylist that can cut and dye it. Recently, I got a keratin treatment and it has improved the quality of my hair. Also, it has cut down my blow drying time. I will continue to refer my friends and family to her.
