Possibly the rudest staff member I’ve ever come across. Arrived at the post office where there was barely a queue (which is quite the rarity) when I got to the till and a lady of maybe Indian decent(?) didn’t even acknowledge me, until I said I’d like to do a cash withdrawal because the closest bank didn’t have a cashier and so couldn’t give me coins. She proceeded to tell me straight away that she will not be able to help because most banks have a cap withdrawal of £300. Bit of background info: I have probably withdrawn money about one or two times in my 26 years of existence, and so I had no clue what my bank cap was and so I took her word for it. I even put my card into the card machine and she confirmed £300 max and that I should come back tomorrow for the rest. I told her this seems weird and I will go to check my bank again. Sure enough I went to my bank and they said the cap is £500! I still needed the extra change and so I went back to the post office where I was served by a colleague who gave me everything straight away. Please post office, sort out your employees. This woman in particular was giving out false info. And probably didn’t want to deal with anyone today given her rotten attitude.

Most of the staff here are friendly but I have found the older lady at the tills to be a jobsworth. I have been to post offices across London and never have a problem posting a thin top as a large letter, apart from with her. Even her own colleagues have been fine about it. It fits through the large letter measurer so I don't see the problem. The first time she decided to put a pen in my letter to get the air out, which was not appreciated in fear the item would be damaged for my customer. The last time, she tried feeding the large letter back to me in a gap she knew it wouldn't fit through, crushing the letter, which I can only imagine is to prove a point and refused to take it. She sold me the stamps to post it in a box outside. This meant I had to squash the large letter as the post box was not wide enough, and I now have no proof of postage, only a receipt for stamps. She asked for £1.30, when I usually pay £1.22, so asked what the difference was and "8p" was the reply. To which I had to say, "not in price, in postage terms"!! She's more awkward than helpful.

!!!MUST AVOID!!! RUDE AND ARROGANT!!! Rudest staff, had terrible experiences every time I’ve collected a parcel. Rude short Indian man and woman. I refused to hand over MY phone for the delivery code and suggested I read it out or he come closer to the window where I pressed my phone against to write down the delivery id. However the man was rude and went on about “that’s not how we do things here you have to hand over your phone”. I politely declined expressing how I was not comfortable handing MY PERSONAL BELONGING to him, especially because in a previous visit I did so reclutantly and witnessed my phone being thrown onto the metal table and hard surfaces WITHOUT ANY CARE. I further explained how it was unsanitary and reminded him of covid awareness. All he had to do was respect my rights and easily dealt with the request by writing down the number. Disgusting service and long wait time without any urgency for the staff to move the queues along. Hope they retrain or replace the current staff. Incompetent and arrogant workers.

The real disgrace is the automated telephone customer care which is not specific to this post office. The website does not appear to give a specific number for particular locations. When you call an automated process starts. If your answers are not suitable because of the nature of your enquiry, it takes you on endless loops or asks you to end your call. Eventually after 15 minutes I found a way through to be transferred to a person. At this point repetitive recorded music starts, with intermittent apologies for the delay. It has been another 17 minutes so far and no person yet. Total over 30 minutes and still no help. The particular office must bear some responsibility for this complaint because it's manager appears to have accepted a system in which the location cannot be directly contacted. My enquiry is complicated by the fact that I am tracking a package of which I am uncertain to which branch it has been address,

I was recently profiled and lied to here as I tried to change money. I was told that 2017 series USD noted were not accepted by their system. I knew this was a lie as I had changed 2017 series notes there just 3 months before with a different person at the till. The person in question asked me standard questions about source of funds etc and I presented my ID. He asked why I didn’t put the funds in the bank of a different country rather than exchanging the money here. Well if i’ve travelled to the UK I probably require funds to spend while here no? I was essentially encouraged to take my business elsewhere. I first went to another post office where they said they had no issues taking the notes then to another currency exchange who said they were some of the newest notes available and that I was lied to. I can’t really comment on their other services but that was a rather unpleasant profiling experience for myself.

The Older lady working behind the counter was behaving in an extreme hostile manner. I enquired about doing an ID Verification, she quickly brushed me off, pushing away my documentations as if they were pieces of rubbish. I was absolutely shocked that the post office would hire such poor mannered individuals, they have no respect for themselves and others. In addition to this, when I asked the lady if she can photocopy the documents she rudely said they don't have photocopiers when I could clearly see it! I then walked off, didn't think much of it and decided to go to the edgware branch. To my surprise the Edgware branch were very helpful and helped me carry out of ID verification. The employees at Golders Green should get some urgent training in how to behave with customers from Edgware. I will never be visiting this branch again even if this was the last on the planet - would rather go to the moon.

Despite staff at this Post Office being competent enough (indeed I've never had any issue with the services provided), I can't rate it more than 3 stars. This is due to the following reasons: - Staff manners. I haven't had the experiences others had, so I can't say I found staff to be rude. But that doesn't mean they have the right attitude with clients. Working in a public facing role should come with a kinder way of communicating with customers - A members of staff that has been mentioned several times by other users, is really unprofessional. When I asked her about the application for a passport, she tried to convince me to do the paper application, since it would have been better and easier as it was my first time. Well, that was false. I actually applied online and that was easier, faster and guess what...? Cheaper!

Avoid this post office!!! Rude staff and rude Manager, sent £4500 on 24.06 and then i went on 25.06 to send another £4500, the post office Manager (lady at cashier 5) said i can't send the money without a reason, she said to call Money gram which I did, money gram said there is no reason why I can't send the money. The ''manager'' said she does not want me to send the money, i asked for a reason and said ''Just because i don't want you to send money''. She was so rude and shouting at me even though i'm a paying costumer!! I have never seen such a rude Manager. Post office in Golders Green please have a look into this poor costumer service that your ''manager'' is offering!

Hi. I was expecting a parcel from a friend from Austria. She posted it almost 2weeks ago, parcelforce should delivery the parcel for me (which i did not know) but they did not, and did not leave me any paper where is my parcel was,so i checked tracking number and it said i can pick it up at the local post office,so i went to the post office but first they didn't find it by the tracking number. Thanks God there was a super nice lady, Irfana, who did not give up and looked it again by my name as well and found it! Parcelforce messed up the tracking numbers, but thank you guys at the post office to not give up searching for it.

  • Jo T

Personally I’m just happy to have a real post office ( as opposed to a concession within a supermarket or newsagent ) in the neighbourhood . You only appreciate these services ( like high street banks ) once they’ve gone . Sure , it can be a bit inefficient , queueing is always a bore ,but the alternative is far worse and so what if the staff aren’t always the most charming ( you’re there to post something or get a form , not for a life affirming experience ) can imagine dealing with huffy, annoying members of the public wouldn’t bring out the best in me either .

  • J R

If I can give a negative start, I would!!! Please don't come here, the staff are racist and were so so rude!! I was served by an short Indian man looking and I would not even want to call it a customer service, let alone a decent human interaction. The only reason I went there was because I missed the delivery to my house and I just went there to pick up my parcel, didn't think it would be such a hassle. I was being call names and was humiliated in there, I never will come back there again. Horrible experience, not sure why this place is still can open.

  • Roby Dac

Can I put 0 stars? Uff no:(. Customer service and attention to client -10. I am going to write now formal complaint to post website asking reasons why this bad, unpolite and poor essential service otherwise I go further up with complaint chain. Today I have in the queue from 8.45, supposed to open 9 as written outside. Until 9.30 nothing and then online I read today the branch was closed. No google update on this or information outside the post office. A essential service in this condition is difficult to think, not evenin the the 3rd world.

  • Chevado “Ratty” C.

After reading some of the reviews I could see why this post office is rated so low. However, my experience was very good admittedly not the fastest. The gentleman took the time out to help me with my D1 form after explaining they don’t offer that service anymore. I was very nervous about it as I knew there’s a massive delay with DVLA, so I didn’t want to have to resend it because the information wasn’t correct. Needless to say I’m writing this review as I’ve received my license and it’s all thanks to the gentleman. So thank you.

  • Medy Marriott

Excellent service and I am there nearly every day. Anyone moaning about the machines not working -COVID - people need to think!! The staff are constantly busy so sometimes it looks like there is only one or two serving. There is more happening, think people!! Parcels need processing, other co.panies drop off items at the post office, etc.... If you wanted extra service, then forget privatisation..... Share holders need dividends, so service always suffers.... Golders Green post office is an excellent , well run , business...

  • Richi Fenomeno

Arriving at the post office they were 2 lines,After waiting 40 minutes in the queue on the right side i reached the staff member called Vimal o vinal i belive (man around 40 years old Indian descent) He told me that i have to rejoin the other queue as is only one apparently and he have no time as he have to go in Lunch break!! I couldn’t believe what i heard i will write a formal complaint to the post office as well! Most rude member of staff i ever meet in my entire life disgusting behavior Far from customer service!

  • Baghdadi HAL chohen

this morning i went to post my goods , there were huge queue line outside , although on the sign outside it says , open at 9:30 am but the door was opened 10 min later . inside the branch with 4 at costumer services windows / however only one lady at the casher no. 1 was serving and the other 3 guys doing there own business , most probably doing there work which they have not completed the day before . costumer service are so pathetic , they suppose to do there job and open on time , as they get paid to do that

  • AD OFFERME

I waited 20 min in the queue at cold and the manager came out and told to +15 people and I that post office will be close in 1 minute. He is stayed inside and counted down the hours to go home instead to serve us or tell us much earlier that cannot serve today. also,It was interesting because, the manager (Mr Quincy) was not Polite, did not have the minimum customer service and has got poor manner. From now better to find other way to do our everyday job instead go to post office to be Treated disrespectfully.

  • Louise Morgan

Really awful place, but seems to be the same at all post offices now. Signs up saying that abuse towards staff will not be tolerated - totally fair, but the Post Office needs to address the reasons people are getting angry. The service is terrible, really long queues, very few staff, self service machines not working, scruffy building. People are fed up, that's why they're kicking off at staff. It really isn't good enough, Post Office. You don't deserve people's custom. Avoid.

  • Shaun Russell

In one occasion, I wanted to post a few things, and I have asked for second class parcel. A member of staff (Man with moustach) charged me for 1 class. I only realised, when I have left the postoffice. In another occasion, I went to renew my driving licence, and the same man told me to go to the long queue. (I was in the right queue in the first place) I have told him, that the service was really bad. I had to go back to the same place i was from the beginning. BEWARE

  • Les Dash

There is an older Indian man who is extremely unpleasant not helpful at all and almost goes out of his way to frustrate you all the time. On this occasion I received a package at the post office (as it was not delivered to my house) and the name was off by one letter. He said my ID did not match the name on the parcel even though I also provided proof of address. He refused to give me the parcel I had to call the sender and speak to someone else at the post office.

  • Leon Brahams

Service is slower than a snail. For an essential service that is used by many people, it shouldn't force people to wait 45, sometimes more minutes to do something as simple as sending a parcel. Also they haven't turned the fans on, and as a result it's hotter in here than the Mojave desert. Going to the post office is usually something that I will be looking forward to not doing. Yet more, the kiosks have been broken for what I am fairly confident has been years.

  • Pepe CH

Worst post office ever, the indian man at the counter was so rude, not even trying to answer any questions. And when I was looking for my parcel which has been shown “delivered to the post office” on the website, that indian man said not this office, he asked me to go to another officd which has been closed. I went back to him and suddenly saw my parcel was just right behind his chair!!! And wasted me an hour for queuing up two times in there!

  • Chris Fung

I can honestly say: My experience ( with 2 self serve kiosk not operational), It was a piece of cake!! My service employee was: 1) polite .2) professional 3) knowledgable 4) efficient I brought my scan info and my package to send to “Amazon” in order to receive a refund. I was very Happy I had taken the time to come here. I don’t believe the low rating. Highly recommended Thank you staff at Golder Greens Post Office!! ⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️✅✅✅✅

  • Adele N

I looked up the address of the nearest post office, and found that this office has only 2 stars. That's very low, I thought, I wonder how come it's so low. Well, now that I have been there myself I can see that it is because the queue is soo long, and everything takes ages. It took me 30 minutes to post a letter. Very polite and professional security-man managing the queue though, doing his best!

  • sindi shehu

Went there today, most awful service.the old indian women behind the counter was extremely rude however when she tried selling a life insurance package she changed started smiling-who does that unless mentally ill?!! The other indian guy served people out of the queue when they came for travel money as he was on commission on that. Didn’t feel like I was in England..lets put it that way.

  • Maxime Maxime

Came today to collect different ordering. Apparently went to the wrong place. I made the queue and waited for around 15 minutes and when it was my turn the lady said not here close to the doors. Fair enough went outside and tried to find it by myself. After 10 minutes came back and she was quite rude. Thanks a nice customer explained me where to go. Poor service and experience.

  • Mahindra Tamang

So bad service they told me I’m rude but manager is shouting me more then 30 min I’m waiting and I reach the counter one guy he have no experience About job and I ask pp form he give me so rudely and manager don’t see his staff rudeness with customer he only saw customer is so rude we payed for all service we give bussiness they shood understand

  • Elizabeth O'Brien

This post office is a joke. On Tuesday 12 July 2022 it closed at 4:30 p.m. I went again on Thursday 14 July 2022 and a notice on the door said they had to close at 12:30 due to staff shortage and will close early again on Friday 15 July 2022. Very unreliable. Always very long queues and only 2 tills serving customers. Extremely slow and staff sometimes downright rude.

  • Andrew Turek

If people spend 25 minutes here most of it is queueing. They have reduced their opening hours again! I sent a package to the USA last week. The machines are still out and they don’t leave customs declaration forms on the counter - you have to queue and wait for one. Job creation? Nobody goes to the Post Office for anything they can do elsewhere and this place is why.

  • Sherron Stokes

This is my local Post Office but I would prefer to travel further as not only are there a lack of staff to manage this Post Office which means that you can spend lengthy periods queuing for service, but with the exception of one gentleman who has been at this post office many years the other staff are unprofessional, rude and have no Customer Service Skills .

  • Bella Saraby

If I could give zero I would “Vimal” served me and honestly never been served by someone so so so SLOW in my life. Also talking to his workmates about football and constantly stopping mid way through serving me to continue his conversation. - ignored me when I walked in Branch was empty 10am on Saturday morning - no wonder. Avoid this branch at all costa

  • Puiu Bojian

I wanted to apply for a taxi driver licence so I pay for "ceck and send service " (they should ceck my documents if are complete and correct ) but two weeks later I received a letter from tfl that was some details missing on the medical form. ... so I lose about 4 weeks on correspondence with tfl after I paid to have my documents ceck before send. ....

  • Adam Taylor

I have had a very positive experience in this branch. I have never been to this branch before, I wanted to send a parcel abroad the other day and the lady who served me was extremely nice, patient, and very helpful (and there were quite a few customers waiting in the queue behind me) Thanks a lot for your help. I will definitely come back again.

  • MB3 P3

By far the worst Post Office I have even been to in the UK. There is always a long queue there. Staff are dreadfully jobsworth, rude, incompetent, unhelpful and go out of their way to make customers' life as difficult as possible. Would never visit again if I did not live in the area and had another Post office close by. Avoid if you can!

  • E H

Went here to renew my driving license. They have a special photo booth to take your images. The whole process was seamless and didn't take long at all. 2022 Update: Still an excellent service, in fact even better. Renewed driving license again but this time everything is done on their tablet, even the photo. Thank you again

  • u

Ive been using this branch for many years and never once did I have such terrible experience as I did today. Quinton the "manager" has disgusting attitude and lacks customer service skills, he is very arrogant, I mentioned to him he needs to learn how to speak to people and came to attack me outside as I was leaving the post office.

  • Tahira

Absolute joke of a post office!!!! Only two staff working on the counters. I have been trying to post a return for a week now but the queues are down the road. Staff all look lethargic and are cooking under the heaters, no wonder they don't want to move off their chairs. Avoid at all costs! Better off going to the Hampstead Branch!

  • Ge Da

Worst post office ever. Staff told me lies about the new law for exchanging EoB bank notes to new ones. He lies about not being able to exchange notes in the post office, only in the banks. Also referred to false deadlines about it. All this happened while the website of EoB clearly states that this can be done at the post office.

  • Katie Miller

My experience here was unsatisfactory. Great location and superb atmosphere OUTSIDE but inside although good amount of stuff the staff let the place down. They are inexperienced and do not listen to (or perhaps understand) the customers. I rather travel a few miles to the post office in the other town.

  • Phoenix Blake

I had a really good experience at the post office today, my teller was extra helpful and supportive in resolving a return package I had been trying to send. Parul was courteous, polite, efficient and professional. She explained the reasons for the delay and actually supported me to resolve my issues.

  • Zoraya Dijamco

Service is great...i just hope when they see that the que is long, they should not priority the packages in the drop off section. They can sort the packages after the long que is gone...they have all the time after to sort things out not during long que.

  • Melissa Lovegrove

Honestly this post office is fine. It may seem slow but I feel like every customer has a way more complicated transaction than me every time. Plus most of these bad reviews were during the height of the pandemic - give the staff a break!

  • Lu Kenny

Such bad service, stamps and products inside the display window price isn't for right price for sale, constantly denied is their fault, refused to selling displayed price, against consumers right from the branch manager. what a conman.

  • Solomon Moshi

A truly dreadful place. Rude, indifferent staff with no knowledge. Had to go back 4 times to fill out a Pco Taxi form because they on they kept on incorrectly advising me which forms to fill in. Best avoided unless desperate.

  • Ronin

Such a snail speed staff . In busy days machines not working there is 2 cashier with tens of customers . Other staff just go back side. If you complain they justify like a machine but in working period snail speed . Horrible

  • Sira G

Slowest postal service office. Needs an overhaul of the system. Staff are polite and helpful. Haven't fixed self service in months and wait times are long for desk service. Probably faster going to Hampstead or Belsize Park.

  • The Scarlet Lord

A nice post office and the staff are always friendly and welcoming. The only criticism is sometimes the Queues can be rather long but they have enough windows to handle the extra load. Very handy post office! …

  • Jonathan

Immaculate service by all staff especially Renalto and Minarco who were kind, fast, easy and attentive, really happy with this now being my go-to PO. Strongly recommend this place, 10/10 well done!

  • Attila Balazs

Very bad service. The manager is not top of the service They are think they doing a favour for you and you cab use this post office. I wouldn’t recommend this post office. Bad vibes.

  • Astrid Koh

Ridiculously understaffed.. Sometimes there are about 30 people waiting and only one booth open and you have to queue for up to 40min. I go to the self service machines when I can.

  • Faysal Talha

One of the worse post office in the area, always long queue due to shortage of staffs !! Self-service not working since 2020!! Very badly managed and stuff lacks professionalism.

  • Behnam Tahmassebypour

Worst post office branch I have been to. Member of stuff giving incorrect information and when I complained I was asked to go to another branch if not happy with the services.

  • Nat

I actually travel to Edgeware to avoid this post office. Some are okay, some are absolutely useless. (especially it's you, Indian man , he even told a lie to me...) …

  • S L

It doesn't open at 9! At 9 some staff arrive to be let in after which you can just stand there waiting till they set up. Don't bother arriving before 9:30 as a customer

  • Aleksandra Krimer

I wanted to ask just one question about the driver license documents, and was told I need to queue, the queue was literally to the door and longer, not helpful at all.

  • Muhammed Mohibi

Service is awful....all staff are very rude....Except 1 black guy...he's really nice and professional ...all the other English and Indians are stupindously annoying

  • Erik Oganesian

Really bad... Have no words. Self-service machines have been off for months (on purpose?), always giant queues, no appreciation for speed or efficiency.

  • gavin marshall

DO NOT have your parcels sent here for Click and Collect. The useless staff in this PO send it back to Greenford as undelivered. Happened more than once

  • David H

Only 4 people queuing but still 20 minutes waiting here. No staff 4 staff visible chatting but none serving. Worst managed post office in the country.

  • Elizabeth Tyson

Closing up at quarter past 5 instead of half past. Rude attitude and just stand offish. As if you are a problem instead of them trying to solve it

  • Visar .c

Ignore this post office if you don’t want to loose nerves waiting and waiting so long to sent something They are incredibly slow for now reason .

  • Ana Vieira

Closed today (30/jul) because of technical issues. Worth giving them a call before heading there over the next few days to check if it's open.

  • Matteo Busti

please update the timings and whether the branch is closed or open. Right now it says open, but if you go there it's closed due to renovation
