Place run by a dishonest, unprofessional and greedy human being Few months ago spend £120 in these place fixing my 2 bikes Recently had a puncture in one of the bikes.Decided to use a different bike shop cause Gloucester Road bikes are too expensive and cash in hand only and didn't provide me with a receipt last time I was in there. For my surprise yesterday when I took my bike to another bike shop to repair a puncture I was told that WRONG INNER tube been fitted, also thet the back TYRE that I paid to change few months ago was not the correct one for my bike, the front BRAKES been tide too much plus been used INSULATION tape when I was charged extra money for professional bike tape. Today I been to the shop to talk to the owner that refused to take any responsibilities for the unprofessional job done at my bikes few months ago. Now I will have to pay someone else to fix these cowboy mistakes.

Fantastic bike repair shop. Popped in after realising I’d picked up a puncture on my way down Gloucester Road. George was very friendly and managed to replace my inner tube and worn down break pad within about an hour despite not having called ahead. He also gave some really good advice and information about looking after my bike going forward. Really impressed with the brilliant service and very reasonable pricing. I will definitely be coming back here myself in the future, highly recommend this place!

George at Gloucester Road Bikes is always friendly, straightforward with his pricing and sells honestly sourced second bikes at a fair price - I've bought a couple in the last few years. He also undertakes repairs at a fair price and is refreshingly straightforward to deal with - highly recommended especially if you're looking for second hand bike in Bristol or just for friendly all round bike repairs.

The gentleman owner is a friendly, helpful and knowledgeable person whose been a pleasure to deal with. I purchased a bike on the weekend for a competitive price, and although there have been some minor issues, he's been very understanding and offered a solution that suits us both. I definitely recommend, if you're happy to purchase a used (retro) bike, going to Gloucester Road Bikes.

Very expensive, and would avoid. bought a part in to be fitted. Was charged £20 for a job that I later found out only takes 5 minutes. These unaffordable prices are part of the reason people do not cycle. Cash in hand and no receipt. Felt very unprofessional, and now feel ripped off. - I feel like this is a classic case of ripping someone off that doesn't know much. ~ avoid.

Excellent bike shop, pleasant and helpful customer service as well as offering cheaper full services and parts than any other place in Bristol I've been.

  • Budge SHEARER BURGESS

Very poor service. Didn't stick to the quoted price. Used an old part found in his shop and charged double what he quoted to fit it. Avoid at all costs!

Went in because I lost a screw for my mud guard. Lovely guy gave me an old screw that was kicking around for free and screwed it in for me. Thanks

Also - little known fact - this shop was originally the site of the launderette used in the episode "Bambi" from the TV Series "The Young Ones"

Got tricked and bought the worse bike of the shop. I don't recommend this shop (it happened some time ago but I'm still salty)
