Extremely unprofessional company with salesman like service. Turned up to collect my sisters body with 2 people who could not do the job. They required the assistance of a mourning husband to put my sister in a body bag, nearly dropped her down the stairs as they didn't know how to use the trolley. My memory of watching my sister go down the stairs in such unprofessional hands will never leave me. Wouldn't let us choose not to have my sister dressed with make up, even though we asked, but "company policy meant she had to have some make up"- she hated make up her whole life, why would she want it at the end??? Lied about the type of material she would be wrapped in, offer discounts if you pay early, plus a few other things left me feeling like I was buying a used car, not organising a celebration of a young mum, my sister. Spoke rudely, both behind our back and in front of us, to the people from the venue we decided on, whilst telling us we were paying too much? Didn't offer us a drink of water or tissues in the hours we spent in their rooms, or even pretend condolences. Quite simply they made an already traumatic experience feel completely impersonal and taken advantage of. They charge large professional fees, fail to get simple things right but yet refuse to break down their fees so that you know what you're paying for.

Good evening Lester and Roseann, I would like to again pass on my entire families thanks and appreciation for helping us navigate the very difficult path of laying our dear dad to rest this week. Your patience, guidance and care was so evident throughout the entire process and made a terribly sad time in our lives that little bit easier to bare. Everything was perfect on the day including the chapel service, the drive to the cemetery and the burial at Nudgee. Thank you for sending Roseann our way - my mum fell in love with her within minutes of her joining us in our family home & she spoke so beautifully of our dad it was as if his spirit was there in the room. I have attached a photo of your website where I have tried to leave a compliment; however it appears the Aspley branch doesn’t come up as a choice on the dropdown box. If it can be fixed I will be more than happy to send a formal compliment through the website - your team including Tamika who organised our music and many photos was simply amazing. Thank you again. As a family, we highly recommend George Hartnett Aspley. Shelley took the greatest care to look after every member of our family, and showed the utmost respect, genuine care, thoughtfulness and compassion, that we so desperately needed at that time. Nothing was too hard and her risk adverse approach was hugely comforting that everything would go well on the day, and it did. At no point were we alone, even on the day of the service Shelley made sure dad had coffee and cake and wanted for nothing. It felt like Shelley had become another member of the family, someone we felt comfortable with and could trust to look after us all and our lovely mum. Thank you Shelley and George Hartnett Aspley.

We have been so grateful for the support we received from Vicki in these last few days as we sorted out our Mum's funeral. It was not a high pressure sales environment at all. It was a caring person who listened and helped us with our decisions. She did not at anytime try to get us to upgrade everything nor made us feel cheap for one minute either. It was a human being caring for another and using her skills to make our chosen funeral personal and meaningful to us. Do not be frightened of the process as you can buy the package and they will make it beautiful and if you want extra stuff you can and if you don't that's ok too. You will be surprised just how much they actually care.

Jess's direction of our Mum’s funeral was exactly as we requested, and the conducting by Vicki, Julie and Jacinta on the day was so respectful and sincere. We were extremely pleased how all matters were given thoughtful consideration to ensure the funeral mass and burial were so fitting of Mum, and with the incredible beauty the flowers gave to everyone present at the church or via Livestream and with all means of transport to her resting place... Many thanks to Jess for her compassion and support while making arrangements for our Mum's funeral/viewing last week. Jess went above and beyond and EVERY request we had was granted... Right down to the Eco coffin covered in Butterflies. It was a beautiful service and we can't thank Jess enough.
