Save your time please lol. If you have an Audi, BMW or a nice german that could be a little complex to repair, just bring it to a euro garage. Ended up paying more than 3k for issues that were never fixed. I’m happy after almost a year with this problem another EURO GARAGE has been able to fix it & I can never return to autofon. I had brought my car at autofon for misfiring+rough idling. He changed everything BUT the parts that are related to a misfire! Part off my suspension, some parts in the engine (oil filter housing gasket, oil cooler, oil cooler seal, both control arms). I take back my car, not only do I have the exact same problems on it (misfiring not gone at all, rpms jumping all that) but not even 2 weeks later one of the control arms fail again lol. Only good thing I noticed is car was less rough at idle. HE DID NOT CHECK MY INJECTORS, MY SPARK PLUGS, MY COILS, NOTHING! Good to precise for people who know: on those Audi V8 you have to remove the bumper in order to be able to work on the engine, he did all that and didn’t even offer a CARBON CLEAN which is so basic on those cars once you take the front out you always do this same time it’s well know. I don’t want my money back, have already made it back & had to spend another 5k to get my issues fixed. But at least it has been fixed for real. I’m just posting this so other people know what to expect. If you have a nice car, go see someone who knows for real those germans! I got fooled by the reviews & it cost me a lot lol. Other than that, if you have like a honda or toyota Alex should be able to help you no issues I believe. Not here to bash them but have to say the truth. Long story short: he totally misdiagnosed my car. Called me to say he’s “done” but “done” only means I’m FINISHED WORKING, NOT “Your car is fixed” lol unfortunately.

Finding a trustworthy mechanic is not an easy thing. I have tried quite a few different mechanics over the years but never found one that I felt I could trust and wouldn’t take advantage of the fact that when it comes to car repairs I haven’t got a clue. A few years ago I was having problems with my car and my boyfriend recommended I take it in to Garage Autofon to see Alex the owner whom he claimed to be a very honest and reliable guy. I used to be a customer at Autofon for many years until I moved out of Montreal. I can say that the owners take their work to heart! Most people are scared to go to a mechanic because they do not know what is actually wrong with the car, and in many cases, a ransom mechanic can make you do unnecessary repairs either because they don’t diagnose properly or just to make a few extra bucks. This is NOT THE CASE at garage Autofon. They are honest and very knowledgeable. I remember being there and other mechanics would call Alex from Autofon and ask him advice on diagnostics. He is a Car guru! Like I said I haven’t been there in years since I moved, but I did refer both my mom and dad and brother, who are all still loyal Autofon customers for all their car repairs from oil changes, to tire changes, to major repairs. And they are extremely satisfied. It’s almost a blessing to find a good mechanic, almost like finding a good dentist! And Autofon is that place! Try it out and I promise you will be glad!

I finally found a trustworthy garage that is honest and knowledgeable mechanics. Alex is the best out there! He takes care of my vehicle and my daughters. My daughter is 20, he takes extra care of her vehicle making sure she’s safe on the road. They do not scam you and believe me being a woman I have been scammed at many garages!! Alex and the crew take the time to inspect the vehicle and explain everything, from how the vehicle is built to run and what is required with options. I told him he’s making me into a mechanic that’s how thorough. He sends pictures of what is found and pictures after repaired. You tell me what garage does this, certainly not the ones that scam people! Hi Purchased a used Nissan Quest from a Garage....came with a extended warranty and the car was visually inspected. Still after purchasing the car I brought the car to the dealer to get it inspected and find out what was needed to do on the car such as any recalls and maintenances. The dealer called me back and and said you have over 7000$ of repairs plus tax to do on the car.... its more than what i paid for the car..... Air filter, Oil Pan, Oil change, swaybar & links, oil pressure switch, air intake air hose, Alternator belt, cvt oil cooler, spark plugs and AC lines. Got all of it done except the AC for less than 1/4 of the price tax in at Garage Autofon. Super honest, efficient and very reasonable in pricing!! THAT'S RIGHT NOT EVERY DAY YOU HEAR THOSE WORDS IN THE SAME SENTENCE

Alex runs a tight shop and did an awesome job with me as a first-time client. Great attitude, good jokes, professional service and a tidy garage. He made room for me three times in one day, first for an alignment, then sold me some new summer tires at a very good price, ordered and installed the same day, and then later in the day when my engine sensors threw a fit, returned and was promptly take care of with the scanner, pro bono. The problem disappeared, but Alex was gracious enough to do diagnostics with me, even in the middle of a very busy period right before the weekend. I met three of his mechanics, and they were all very polite, professional and competent as well. Very relaxed yet efficient atmosphere, I would readily recommend to anyone.

AAA experience in this garage. The service is impeccable, Alex takes the time to inspect, listen and gives his best advice on what he will investigate and do. While away I was sent updates by phone on what the diagnostics are and what to expect as a repair. Everything is done step by step with great communication. Knowing a thing or two about my car I can tell you that he and this garage can be trusted.Also what kind of garage gives you this kind of service and sends you updates while working on your car? If you are on a tight budget Alex can tell you what repairs need immediate attention. I have been going here for over 2 years and the service has been excellent everytime. If you have questions about parts that need replacing, Alex can explain to you what the problem is and how he will fix it. He can literally give you a crash course on how any part of your vehicle works in a way that is easy to understand. I feel like I'm learning something new everytime. You can tell he is honest. Went to ask if they could diagnose and fix AC on my 12 year old van. They took it the next day and were able to fix it for a third of what another garage told me what it would cost (they wouldn't even look at it). At the same time, they emailed a video of ball joints that were dangerously damaged, which I didn't realize. I authorised the work and it was done quickly. Communication was constant and appreciated. They have gained a new customer and I will bring my other cars there as well. The car wash was a nice touch as well. Thanks so much!

Best garage in Montreal!! I went to three different garages to fix a noise coming from my car but none of them was able to find what the problem is. It's a clean place and courteous staff, but they're resolutely unwilling to install specifically chosen premium upgrade parts bought by the vehicle owner. I don't feel I was treated unfairly, and I presume their excellent reviews remain valid if you're looking for everyday repairs to keep it on the road. But if you're looking for performance upgrades and trust only your own research and parts, Autofon will refuse to help you.

Got Winter tires from here. These guys are humble when it comes to tires; they have a small catalog on the counter. However they have the best (and I mean the BEST) brands of tires. Even if they have limited options for a size, they're top-tier selections (and at a fair price). Fast service too (and I had huge tires). Would definitely get tires for my other car from Autofon. Strongly recommended.

The head mechanic Alex is extremely trustworthy. I brought my car for an oil change and Alex advised me that my brakes were low. I was heading on a long road trip and busted brakes would have been dangerous for my family and I. Having a trusting mechanic is as good as the best doctor. He takes care of my car and the prices are very reasonable too! Go! You won’t be disappointed.

Definitely recommend Garage. The mechanic was very enthusiastic and professional, patiently explaining to us the cause of the failure. The most important thing was to help us solve the problem. This problem has been bothering us for over 2 months and have been to several Garages without finding the problem. They solved it in one day, which was great!

Very professional work ethic and honest. Cost/rates are équivalent to compétiteurs, because of the roads being horrific, repairs are costly on the budget, but on the other hand the repairs are well done so that is the right way to go with car repairs. The clients seem satisfied so am I. They are very busy so book an Appointment sooner than later.
