I have bad dental anxiety and had pushed off going to the dentist for a few years because of it. I chose Gage Park Dental because of their positive reviews and I’m so glad I did! I love that it’s a small office where you feel like a person, not just a paying customer being quickly shuffled around. Sonia is a wonderful, caring and gentle dentist. She took her time explaining my teeth and options that I could take moving forward. She never tried to sell me anything, only making suggestions that would help to keep my teeth healthy. The hygienist was equally as lovely and made sure that I knew I could stop the process at anytime if I was overwhelmed. She was so gentle that I was just able to relax and before I knew it the cleaning was over. Thank you!

I love Dr. Sonia a d the Gage park team because they are extremely knowledgeable and accommodating. I also know Dr Sonia will not do silly procedures to make money or maximize my insurance benefits. She just tells me what I need or don’t need. I get high quality and attentive care from a medical professional not a business person trying to profit selling me services. Dr. Sonia is always talking about the latest research or studies and loves to keep current in her practice. She really helped me with my teeth grinding issues. Her office is very well protected during this time of Covid. I would heartily recommend her and her team.

I have never liked going to the dentist, period. Everyone needs to make a living, but my personal experience with Dental practices usually felt more like buying a used car. How much insurance do you have and let us help you max that out. I have also become claustrophobic when confined, which makes me a difficult patient. Dr. Sonia is different. She has a practice, not a corporate revenue stream and it feels comfortable. You are going to receive her personal attention and benefit from her passion. I took my three year old son here for the first time today and had a wonderful experience. Everyone was so kind, friendly and welcoming. He never felt scared and they were fantastic with him. They helped him and his pain was gone almost immediately. We were in and out quickly. They were on time for his appointment so no waiting. The office is nice, clean and they even have tablets to streamline the paperwork. Having recently moved to the area we were in need of a new dentist and I'm glad we found this office!

This is a great dental clinic! I was very worried about going to the dentist during the pandemic, but the entire team at Gage Park Dental took great care to explain their procedures and precautions and answered all of my questions. It took many years of living in Hamilton area to find a decent dentist - we’ve tried about 4 until we found this one! And she doesn’t run a silly Botox practice on the side either or try to sell you on veneers unnecessarily-like some others in this neighborhood- she’s only focused on fundamental dentistry and providing a good experience and outcome for her patients.

I have a deep respect for Dr. Taranu. She and her team at Gage Park Dental deliver exceptional care with kindness, compassion, and attention to detail. Visited for the first time last week and left extremely satisfied. Dr Sonia was great. She listened to my concerns and worked with me to make sure I was happy. The staff, Shannon and Montana went out of there way to make me feel comfortable. Very professional and sociable. Highly recommended.

I love going to this clinic. The staffs are very friendly and Dr. Sonia too. She makes sure that you're comfortable in the dental chair. She treats her patients like a family. She discussed every option and let the patient decide if they want to do it. I highly recommend this office.

The best dentist in Hamilton! (been to far too many since moving here from Toronto). Great service, no wait times, office staff treat you as a person not a product. Low costs compared to others and dentist doesn't try to upsell on things you don't need. Very rare find!!
