Visited before. It's an okay place. I feel like it needs something new. I don't know may build a stand for people to place their phone, on or in, who visit by themselves or just want to take a group picture and not leave no one out. That way, the phone can have a dedicated stand to take that picture without worries of it falling and breaking the screen, which is next to impossible for me to take these pictures. I was worried that someone could steal my phone if I left it out too long. Love the place. I just feel like it may need something extra to add that cherry on top

If you’re in this area of Seattle visiting, this is a cute place to visit. However, you may encounter uncomfortable people around you, so just be cautious and aware of your surroundings. If you want free parking, there’s some on Fremont Avenue. You may need to drive around for a little bit or park further away to find a spot (depends on the day and time of your visit). I typed in 3615 Fremont Avenue North, Seattle to get the directions to the area of where to park. There’s also shops in this location if you’re wanting to check out other things to do while visiting the troll.

Encapsulates the troll-under-the-bridge story from your childhood for children and adults a-like. Interesting from many perspectives, historical, artistically or socially, you can come here any time any day and there will be others checking it out. As a local it's become kind of blasé and it's weird to me when friends from out of town want to come see it, but everyone always enjoys the trip and there's plenty within walking distance to see from Fremont Brewing to gas works park and the views of lake union therein. A long time Seattle tradition and staple, can't fathom it going anywhere.
Walked up the hill to the Troll at 7pm for Trolloween. This was the first time I've ever done that and it was awesome. They had a Lantern Forest where you could go and just pick out a lantern (all made by volunteers) and use it in the parade/keep it. The Fremont Arts Council put a huge crown on the Troll (it was his 33rd Bday), and there were Morris Dancers, a Masque of the Red Death by the Fremont Players and Drumming and Dancing (I wish I could remember the name of that group). The vibes were fun and cool and the drummers under the overpass had wicked acoustics.
My family lives in Fremont and when I mentioned I wanted to visit it during my recent first trip to Seattle, we all decided to take a short walk there. I live in the South End in Boston, which I consider one of the coolest neighborhoods in the country, but I was impressed with the charm of Fremont overall. This troll added to that level of charm I felt. It’s a great spot for a photo opportunity, and the troll is itself is impressive. My fiancé thinks I’m crazy, but the lighting during our visit around sunset produced a shadow that looks to me like the face of a young boy.
Fun little feature to find up in Fremont! Highly recommend going there at least once. There’s even a cute little garden nearby that also has a wishing statue you can visit ❤️ check out the burger shop at the bottom of the bridge from the troll statue while you’re at it. Totally making this my spouse’s and mine date spot ✨ Parking tip: there’s paid parking at the bottom of the bridge, can’t quite remember the street name. You could also try street parking if you’re comfortable with parallel parking. Just be prepared to walk up those hills!
The Fremont Troll is an iconic landmark that perfectly captures the whimsical and creative spirit of Seattle. This larger-than-life sculpture is an absolute delight to behold, with its playful and imaginative design. Whether you're a local or a visitor, a visit to the Fremont Troll is a must for anyone seeking a unique and memorable experience that truly embodies the artistic essence of the city.

It is such a neat little (big) thing to check out! Get photos with it! It's definitely a Seattle "icon" everyone should see at least once! I took my dogs into Seattle with me (I live a little north) and brought them here (they were "tourists" with me all day) and even took a walk around the neighborhood. It was nice! I come to Fremont usually for the food, but this was a nice stop too!

This is one of the coolest experiences ever My 3-year-old has not stopped talking about this for a week now He's so excited about this troll it's all he can think about they should market this and sell troll dolls because we would buy one so it's one of the funnest things you can do when you're in Seattle if you have young kids they will love it and it's just amazing that it's just there and hasn't been destroyed after all these years so fun
The secret to visiting the Fremont troll is managing expectations. It's just a heavily worn concrete troll under a bridge. Nothing more, nothing less. It's fun to see but don't visit just for the troll. Definitely explore around as there are lots of fun shops and other interesting landmarks in the area.

Very big, very creepy, and an absolute joy for the local children. they were climbing all over it and I just watched amused at the wonder in their eyes. eventually I climbed up on it's head and found some pigeons just chilling. Even the animals like climbing on it lol. good place with very zen vibes.

TLDR: it’s fine but don’t come out of your way to see it The Fremont troll is an icon in Seattle but honestly it’s just whatever. You can go see it and take two pictures but that’s about it. Don’t go out of your way all the way up here to see it, if you’re near gas works park then it’s a few minutes drive away.

Street art at its finest I don't know anything about it, other than it exists and was a must see on the list of things to do. Parking is hard or procure, so be patient and understanding do not run over the pedestrians that will invariably cross your path. Take some time and explore the fairy forest too.

Cool statue under the bridge, easy to find and there is plenty of street parking nearby. It’s free of charge plus there is also a cool turtle statue nearby. It’s usually never crowded. Would recommend stopping by this place if you are nearby, not a must do tho.

I was nice to get out of downtown. Was in a good-looking, safe neighborhood. I was surprised that it wasn't all spray painted on. Took a bunch of good pictures. We went a little before sunset and made our way to Gas Works Park for some sunset photos. All on the metro for a $8 day pass.

The popular Fremont Troll! Parking is a premium here, but there is an easy walk to it. In 2023 it had been spruced up a bit and the Troll forest is under construction. Definately add this to your adventures while in Seattle! Please be mindful of your trash and pack it out what you packed in

Never have made the trip to visit this famous troll We happen be near him, so we decided to check him out. So thrilled we did. It was pretty cool. We also took our dogs for a walk around the trail. Made a special wish over the turtle ✨️ Most likely, we will try to see him again! Be patient with parking , it is a bit tricky. It is very easy to find.
For an unusual picture, this is the place. Apparently some work is being done it at the time of our visit so not as nice as it usually is. Not much parking near the troll .... and that is a real VW in his grasp! Friends from Texas pictures.

Fun little spot to stop by and check out if you're in the area. Finding parking can be tricky though so if it's super out of your way, I wouldn't recommended. Fun for pictures and great view of bridge, plus there's a "troll" park too

Though it was very busy when we went this was still a fun experience. Be prepared to wait as there were many people crawling up and posing him both times we went. The BEST part is heading up the hill to water the magical tortoise!!

The troll looked into my soul. Adjacent to the Troll, there is the Troll's Knoll, where there is a trail, a community garden, and a large stone turtle statue. The statue is covered with moss, and across from it, there is a rain water barrel and a small pail. People are encouraged to water the turtle to make the moss grow.

Fun little jaunt that's free and a real gem in the community. Small path through a community garden and two art installations: the big ol' troll and a wishing turtle. It's not a big park but I thought it was worth the trip as it led to further explore the local community and businesses, which ended up being a delight.
05/25/23: what a terrific and awesome Fremont troll. Thanks to the local artists for building this incredible art so that we can visit and be proud of its uniqueness to the visitors. There is also a small troll’s park nearby for your extra visit and I found a small turtle inside there too. Would love to be back …
Cool place to bring the tourists to see something unique. Always a trip at night, but we did the day trip this time. Looks like it's under some construction right now as the stairs were blocked off.

It's a cool site to see! I haven't been here for over a decade, and it has been cleaned up. This is a residential neighborhood and an active street, so definitely be mindful when parking and crossing the street. It was super busy with people. Parking was extremely limited. We went on a Sunday around 2 pm.
Wanted to see this for a long time and when I finally got to see it, it was very cool. There's not much to do other than take photos of it, but that's not a problem. The troll itself is so big there's a Volkswagon Beetle under his hand. Down the hill there's a boardwalk next to the water with cool views.
It was so big and so unexpected. We couldn't see the turtle because they were doing construction in the area. Hard to find parking... it's literally in a neighborhood.

A cool place to visit! My friends and I accidentally went pass it, and found the view under the bridge was so amazing and spectacular! We took bus there, so the spot is easy to get by public transportation. There are stairs that bring you to another trail, and I am gonna try it next time!
Cool little spot if you’re exploring the city! Plus a scene from one of my favorite movies was filmed here so I had to make a stop. - 10 things I hate about you -

It’s a brilliant public works project. I love to see the city rally around local artists. The story goes that after the bridge was erected in 1932 there have been troll sightings under the Aurora Bridge since. Hence the street being named
Neat landmark but a little overhyped. Big! Always busy on the weekend, and a great 5 minute stop for tourists, but that’s really it. Underwhelming but a neat stop if you’re already in Fremont for brunch or coffee. Very sandy in the area.
Visit a piece of Seattle (in Fremont). Nothing too exciting, but it's famous 'round these parts. It's also the inspiration for the mascot of the Seattle Kraken hockey team. Seattle has some of the most interesting art in the nation. More
The Fremont Troll is a large sculpture under the George Washington Memorial Bridge (also called the Aurora Bridge) made of steel, rebar, wire, and concrete. The location can be tricky to find without navigation assistance, as it is in a
Cool experience. They have an explanation of who sculpted the troll on plaque. Something to see when in Seattle.

Such a fun place to come see. There's not really a place to park except the side of the road. There's also a small park off to the side called the "Troll's Knoll". The ground around the troll was quite dusty when we went.
Really cool art installation, not to busy and you can get some great pics if you climb up top. Bridge overhead looks cool if you turn around from looking at Troll and look down the street, local bus stops were close too.
Fun place to visit. They have added stairs to make it easier to reach the top. Parking is limited.

My wife heard about the troll and made us walk 2 miles out of our way to go and see it. When we got there she realized it kinda sucks and wanted to know why we didn't get an uber instead of walking(again her idea).
Really cool to see. It takes a while to have nobody around to take a picture without people in it on the weekend. Must see spot of this awesome troll.
