I highly recommend Dr. Barton and the team at this clinic. I have two very high maintenance pugs and I have seen many vets in Edmonton. In January I rescued the second pug with the understanding that he had dental work done . Soon realizing that wasn’t true, and his teeth were completely rotten. I searched for some new vet clinics and the positive reviews for Ermineskin Vet Clinic are what brought me in. Dr. Barton was personable and professional and answered all questions I had. He was understanding of the situation I was in financially with the dental work. The pricing for having all of my dogs teeth removed was extremely reasonable and relieving. The procedure was done in the clinic by Dr.Barton and was booked quickly. It’s been 2 days since Zucchini’s procedure and he seems to be feeling so much better than before! I truly felt like Dr. Barton was the first vet I’ve seen in Edmonton that cares about the pets and the owners and doesn’t take advantage of the situation for monetary gain. Everyone else I met at the clinic was also very kind and helpful. This is my go to vet clinic now !

Always get a second opinion after visiting this clinic, I had some dental cleaning and tooth extraction work done on my cat ($1200) and I returned for her 6 month checkup. The vet assistant told me that my cat needed cleaning again (She quoted me at $600), I told her i would wait and decide at my next visit. I chose to visit another clinic downtown and get a second opinion and thankfully I did because the staff there said that my cat did not need cleaning and was shocked that another vet clinic would suggest to put my cat through the stress of being sedated. I tried calling the original vet to speak with him about it and the vet staff told me he is too busy and he is unlikely to return my call until later in the week. I am looking forward to his phone call.

I have been bringing my dog here for over 10 years! From the time she was spayed and micro-chipped, through all the yearly checkups and vaccines. My little bichon frise had to have the majority of her teeth pulled last year and during the procedure, Dr Barton would contact me with updates and to calm me as he and his staff were very conscious of my anxiety. Last evening after my dog's yearly checkup, Dr Barton even gave me a discount due to a long waiting time. This was very thoughtful of him, considering he was the one who also had to stay late to accommodate. And he still took the time to answer all my questions and concerns. Much appreciated! I highly recommend Dr. Barton and this Veterinary Clinic, they truly care!

They are an inexpensive veterinary clinic that will give you the best options and wont force you into doing unnecessary procedures. Dr. Barton has amazing staff and truly cares for the animals that are taken to him. I have suggested them to multiple friends in need of a knowledgeable and understanding vet. Have heard a few stories of him helping out customers who are worried of the financials that are usually hand in hand with veterinary Bill's. he wont pay your bill but he will find a course of action that will benefiet your pet and not put you in financial ruin trying to save your beloved animal. If nothing else he is definitely worth seeing st least once to get an assessment of your pets wellbeing.

I have been taking my dog here for 4 years now. I have never had a problem! Dr. Barton is great. You can tell that he truly cares. The staff are great and caring. Dr. Barton is always very thorough with my dog. My dog is scared of the clinic and gets anxious (typical dog) so Dr. Barton is always very gentle and patient with her. The nurse explained everything very well after my dog got spayed and the clinic even made a follow up phone call after 5 days to see how my dog is doing. I highly recommend this clinic! Yesterday we had to take our cat in to be put down. The vet asked if the cat had been drinking a lot more water. we had told him yes like we did six months ago. we paid for them to have his blood tested then, but they said they would call back if there was anything that came back. they didn't. one would assume that if they don't call you back that everything is fine. as a result our cat spent his last 24 hrs in considerable pain. we would not recommend this vet unless you like spending a lot of money for nothing.

I love Dr Bartel he truly cares about the animals he treats. I have been vetting with him for over 10 years and no matter where in Edmonton I live I will drive the extra mile to go to his office. His ladies that work with him in the front and back of house are wonderful as well. They always remember my furbabies and any special traits or habits they have. Their office is moving a couple doors down to a bigger office.... CONGRATULATIONS!! I wish you much success in your new location!

I have been coming to this clinic for a very long time; before that our family used Dr. B's predecessor. Except for emergencies have never seen a need to go anywhere else. Dr. Barton and his staff are wonderful and caring people in what can for us be a trying time. All questions are answered with the time taken to explain as well. When you arrive, you can expect to wait a bit. To me, that is a good thing, as it shows that the time is taken with each patient. Highly recommended.

I have been taking my dogs here for years. Dr. Barton is always patient and thorough. I have to bring my one fur baby here to get her nails done once a month because no where else can handle her, she is very AGAINST having her paws touched. They are always patient with her. I would and have highly recommended this veterinary clinic to anyone with animals.

Hands down the best vet I’ve ever been to. I had a nightmare at a previous vet about a month ago and coming to this vet made it all worth it. They were the friendliest, kindest and most professional people I’ve ever met. Definitely recommend it. The vet himself was very patient with our questions and was super friendly and our dog absolutely loved him.

Dr. Erin Murphy treated our dog Biff, she had and has a few medical problems, that's what happens when you are a 17 yr old pooch. Dr. Murphy was absolutely lovely the way she treated Biff and her way of expressing and explaining medical terminology to a regular Joe Blow. Thankyou so much. Highly recommended..

This office is very clean and bright. Prices are not too steep for what you get. We had an amazing experience with Dr Barton! He is kind with animals, informative and really takes his time to help pet parents understand what to do going forward. It was such a breath of fresh air. Will be going back for sure!!

We have followed Dr.Barton all over Edmonton until he bought Ermineskin. He always has the time to listen to your concerns and is so…good to our animals. He doesn’t push tests or treatment but provides you with the necessary information to choose the option that is best for you and your pet.

Dr. Erin Murphy DVM ( new associate at clinic ) was amazing in treating our pup “ Charlie “ . She was knowledgeable, caring and followed up just as she stated . I would have her treat all our beloved pets !! Thanks for bringing her on board Dr. Barton , great choice .

Dr. Murphy has taken such good care of my dog, even after a few painful trips to the vet he is still excited to go there! She is a miracle worker, even with my boy who is bigger than she is!!! Forever grateful for her patience, expertise, and gentle care giving.

Got me in last minute on one of there late open days, where friendly and did a great job. Also for the appointment, a cleaning solution, steroid cream and a pill prescription was only around $180 so also a very fair price! Have recommended to everyone since.
