I've been to Epic Hair Studio three times now, usually for a tape-in extension lift and trim. Last time I went to the studio, they charged me $276 for extension application (they did not need to be removed) and a dry cut (no wash or style). They had told me that the hourly rate was $150. I hadn't been in the studio for more than an hour and a half- much of which was taken up by the stylist answering calls/chatting about her trip to Austalia and 1/3 of which was spent on the cut, which should have been charged at a flat rate and not an hourly rate. The price was absurd and didn't make sense, but I paid the fees without confrontation because I had been there in the past and always enjoyed the service and prices. Plus the stylist seemed nice and let's be honest, we all know what it's like to work commission. Earlier this week, I went in for another extension lift. The owner had confirmed my appointment the evening before, stating 10 am as my appt time 3x throughout the email chain. I drove 40 mins for my appt, only to find out that the store was closed and didn't open until 11. I tried to call, but no one answered. The earliest anyone called me was 10:45 am- they left a voicemail saying that they don't open until 11 so they weren't sure what the confusion was about. About a half hour later, the owner realized her mistake and emailed me apologizing, saying that she forgot their new hours. Personally, I don't think it's reasonable for a business owner to forget their hours- and confirm the incorrect appt time less than 12 hours before. The only accommodation they ended up offering was for me to come in for the same service, for the same price, after having waited around for an hour. As a shift-worker in the Canadian north, I was pretty irritated to waste several hours of the little time that I have at home. The service offered at this salon is okay, but nothing that can't be found elsewhere at a cheaper price. Overall, I've found the staff to be unaccommodating, unreliable and disorganized.

I saw Amy at Epic and my hair has never looked or Felt Better! As with most people, it's been a very long time since I had my hair done with covid lockdown. I told her I wanted it as light as possible and I needed aaaaaalllllll the damage cut off. She asked if I was sure because... Well.... It was a lot of hair to cut off. But she asked and asked and asked again just to make sure I was comfortable. I also have a natural curl to my hair but it takes a lot of work and styling and the perfect "plop" and curl cream to make it curl. Amy did an amazing job. My hair curls no problem when I want it to and she took off all the damage and it still looks long and luxurious. I would definitely recommend seeing Amy for colour and cuts. I've never been so happy with my hair. My hair is lovely and strong. Oh! And Amy also did my wedding! All the girls and myself had their hair and make up done and we all looked and felt amazing ALL DAY AND NIGHT LONG! Her make up work is exceptional. I've never felt so natural and sexy. And I was 3 months pregnant at my wedding lol. So that being said, it pretty obvious she's a miracle worker!

I go see Amy out of this Salon and she is so fantastic and talented! And so friendly! She is so good at helping me get on track and showing me options when I'm being indecisive about my hair and always finds the best styles/colours to suit my personality and aesthetics. I've walked in to see her completely stressed out from the day and left absolutely beaming. She has such a beautiful soul and has the talent to match! Very accommodating and even managed to give my young son who is autistic and doesnt do well with haircuts an amazing haircut. She was so patient and gentle with him and it was the best hair experience we've ever had with my son. Amy gets the job done every time and I'm so happy to call her my hairdresser. 10/10 would recommend her to any and everyone! Completely in love with my new hair!! ♡♡♡♡♡

Awesome everytime i go! My stylist Amber really works with me and make sure to always ask what i want. She also gives me options as well. The products they use always leave my hair soft and shiny. I have really thick hair which i used to chemically straighten every 4 months or so. My hair was extremely damaged with lots of breakage before but with the help from Amber my hair is healthy again. She has also given me the confidence in letting it grow natural which previous hairstylist have always told me i would have to keep relaxing it. Great customer service as well. I am always greeted when i come in with a smile. Thanks epic hair!

Super digging my shorter hair from the stylist Amy, especially after a long winter of waiting to get a haircut. I really love the cut because I feel like I can style it in a lot of different ways, which is nice when you're like me and can't make up your mind. They have super friendly staff and are very accepting and open to all people. The value of the haircut is great and even though it's a bit of a bus ride, I'd say it's absolutely worth it. The photo I uploaded is after I used curlers, no heat, and combed it out a bit. But I've tried different parts and different ways of styling with awesome results. You won't regret going!

A couple of months ago I visited Amy at the salon with a request to go silver to blend in with my natural hair. She explained to me that the process would take more than one visit as she didn't want to damage my hair. Yesterday was my last visit and I couldn't be more happier with the way my hair turned out! I highly recommend her!! Thank you so much again Amy!

after having a horrible experience at another salon, i saw amy for a colour correction last week. i was super nervous but she was so friendly and knowledgeable! she talked me through everything she was doing and i loved the results. she did everything she could to make sure i liked my hair but that it was still healthy. i’m really happy with the experience.

I had an enjoyable experience in Epic salon. It was a spontaneous visit, and Mariam warmly welcomed me. She was my hair artist, and she was super professional, friendly, and helpful! The salon was very welcoming & everyone was so nice. I got my hair done by Bry a new stylist there & she is absolutely amazing!! I showed her a picture of what I wanted & she nailed it. My hair looks great & feels so healthy even after colouring it. Bry is so sweet & so easy to talk to! 10/10!!!

This hair salon is good I have been getting my hair done by Bry she is a great I tell her the cut and color I want and she does it and she is open to new ideas which is fantastic . I have been coming to eppic hair salon for a while . The staff is friendly and I enjoy coming .

Amber is the BEST!! And her team is great. She transformed my very terrible hair into something wonderful. Not only did she make the time to do so, she understood what I was looking for and knew exactly what I was needing to make it happen. I cannot thank her enough.

I went to Epic for the first time and had Amy has a stylist. She was fantastic. My hair was damaged and required treatment/cut/colour. Amy did a beautiful colour and blend and cut and styled my hair exactly the way I wanted. Will definitely book to see her again.

My husband and I were very happy with the cut and styles that Cambrie and Jordan provided. They were both attentive to what we wanted and were able to provide great advice for my curly hair. Rates were reasonable. Will definitely return.

Two of the stylists completely ruined my kids hair. Hair are now trimmed and short and will go even shorter in length when i take them elsewhere for a fix. Totally regret all 2.50 hours i spent on hair cut only. Will not go back again
