Here is my Experience on Attestation of Degree Certificates for ZAB @ 27 July 2022 1. Please visit the Embassy before 8.30 even website says service is from 9.30 to 11.30 2. Take a photocopy set with you. Sometimes they ask for the photocopy and certify it 3. Take cash if possible (fees are mentioned in the website) also VISA, MC available, AMEX is not recommended. They charge the amount in LKR not EUR 3. a. The fee mentioned in the site if for whole document set not for each 4. From the front security window they will issue you a token after you give them your passport 5. Then 3 or 4 people are allowed to enter 6. You can only take your documents. No plastic file or backpack or mobile is allowed 7. They have a locker inside you can put your back pack and get the key when you are inside 8. At 9 they will call token nos. 8. a. After that you are asked to leave the office if you want you can wait outside 9. After giving the Certificates they will ask you to come between 11.00 to 11.30 10. Please be on the time and you will be called for collection based on the token no. Don't come after 12.00 11. As at 27.07.2022 Consular service is on only Wednesdays.

Diese Botschaft ist eine absolute Frechheit und der Service grauenhaft. E-Mails werden nicht beantwortet und kommen angeblich nicht an, dabei habe ich das Kontaktformular der Webseite der deutschen Botschaft in Colombo benutzt. Erst nach Beschwerden ans Auswärtige Amt in Deutschland wurde überhaupt auf meine Anfragen reagiert, allerdings mit sehr pampige Antworten. Ergebnisse werden mir nicht direkt mitgeteilt, sondern an eine Behörde weitergeleitet, die wiederum nichts davon weißt. So funktioniert Bürokratie in Deutschland. Kein Wunder, dass die alle überarbeitet sind, wenn man die Arbeit hin und herschiebt und sich keiner dafür zuständig fühlt. Der Telefonservice ist unterdurchschnittlich. Manchmal hat man da nur einen sitzen, der nur gebrochen oder gar kein Deutsch und mir ist auch schon passiert, dass ich morgens anrufen sollte, obwohl die Telefonische Sprechzeiten noch gar nicht vorbei waren. Und zuletzt tretet diese Behörde den Schutz der Ehe zwischen Deutsch-Ausländer, der im deutschen Grundgesetz besonders geschützt ist, mit den Füßen und gibt noch nicht mal ein Einreisevisum für wichtige deutsche Ereignisse.

Worst embassy ever. I'm an 18 year old and the staff was really rude. And honestly the service is super slow. Actually my whole future is distracted because of the irresponsible behaviour of them. I have no words to say and I don't know where to complain. If they don't issue visas anymore they should inform us before paying and everything. After all the expenses my poor parents spent they easily rejected the visa and didn't give any clear reason. This has happened to many. Don't do such injustices. Shame on you. Even on the appointment day when I handed over all the proof documents to the tall srilankan lady she told that they are unnecessary . But then later they've informed in the rejection letter that I haven't given the needed documents. This happened twice. I'm so disappointed. Don't know if anyone will see this or not. I don't know what your point of view will be. But it hurts really hard that I worked so hard on this for years . This is totally unfair. Even if it's just an appointment for you this is my whole life . Please be responsible. Be thoughtful and sensitive of others. Thankyou

An arrogant, ignorant woman answers the phone. She has no professionalism, she laughs at the face saying "that's stupid", "forget about it" and gets mad when confronts about her professionalism. We don't call to get her opinion, but to get the information we need to know. If it's not possible, be a professional and say that it's not possible. I don't have the slightest idea how a person like that was selected as the telephone operator. She sounded like a mad woman when laughing. I was so shocked, I couldn't believe it! German Embassy, you need to do better at appointing people for these jobs.

Meinem Freund wurde unter fadenscheinigen Gründen ein Visum verwehrt. Dabei warteten die Mitarbeiter vor allem auf eins, wie wir später herausbekamen. Nur Flüchtlinge werden akzeptiert, Besucher nicht. Daneben bekommt man nur inkompetent Informationen: für Grundstücke gibt es kein Grundbuch, sondern notarielle Urkunden. Das Gegenteil könnt ihr nicht beweisen. Stattdessen wird nur herumgeschwafelt. Kompetente, freundliche Mitarbeiter wird man weder hier noch beim ausw. Amt finden. Natürlich wird Google diese Rezension nicht veröffentlichen. Aber diese Rezension entstand aufgrund Erfahrung.

Worst embassy ever! Doesn't make any sense of keeping their reputation or rules or whatever. Greeting, responding, service to people are so informal. If you ask for all proven docs you should act in the same way showing you have that respect. Getting States' visa is way more easier. We pay you and ask for service and you are NOT doing #charity. Be polite to your customers because they aren't your slaves. This is 21st century, it's good for you to be moderate with good perspectives. Thank you.

Selbst ein Stern ist zu viel!!!! Unhöflich und unzuverlässig!!! Eine bodenlose Frechheit. Die Angestellten Damen sind sehr arrogant und unhöflich am Telefon. Zudem bekommt man eine genaue Zeit genannt wann man bescheid bekommt, jedoch meldet sich niemand! 3 mal hintereinander hat diese Dame mich und meinen Mann warten und hoffen lassen. Und wenn man nachfragt bekommt man eine derartige freche Aussage! Von der DEUTSCHEN Botschaft hätte ich wenigstens etwas Respekt erwartet.

I don't really know what's wrong with this people. I called to get some information about Schengen Visa and I talked to a lady she started to get mad at me I asked can you give me some more details. She said not everyone can get the visa in very arrogant tone and she hung up. To be honest it was the first time that I met someone super rude like this on a embassy. For that lady : this world doesn't revolve around you. At least try to learn how to be respectful ♥️

Very nice villa near the Fort with a nice garden and pool. Staff is excellent, very helpful, friendly, reliable and their food is fabulous. We enjoyed our meals very much, fresh, tasty and prepared in a lovely way so the eyes are happy as well. It was extremely helpful we could have an early check-in and late check-out. Prompt and reliable contact with owner, very comfortable. Just bring a hairdryer if you need one. Can recommend this villa and staff very much.

The worst embassy ever Have to call more than a hour to pick the phone and very rude to people I am student visa applicant They are getting an answer from germany within 3,4 weeks but in here they are holding it for 3,4 months . because when i call the embassy in germany after 3 weeks they said they already sent there answer and from srilanka they will contact you with in few days but now it has been more than 3 months They are wasting our precious time

Eine Stern ist viel zu viel ich muss eine Stern markieren sonst geht nichts weiter total unfreundliche Telefon Beraterin !!! Soviel Arbeit hat sie definitiv nichts , und ich war mehrmals im deutschen Amt gewesen + auch deutsche Grenze durchgefahren immer sehr anständig,und sehr freundlich!ich lebe fast 35 Jahre im Europa,nie so eine erlebt ,es ist sehr schade ,fast alle hier reklamiert dieses Dame wer immer nehmen telephon ab !!!!

UNFREUNDLICHSTE Botschaft die ich kenne. Es geht nie einer ans Telefon und wen jemand ran geht wird zugewiesen an den Webseite. Termin gib’s seit 1 Jahr nicht mehr für Visums Angelegenheit. Komisch das es die Agent immer Termine haben und für mehrere Geld ein Termin vergeben, hab gedacht deutsche sind nicht so korrupt. Falls jemanden ließ von Botschaft ich hab das alles weiter geleitet an Bundesgerichtshof. IHR SEIT KORRUPT

The worst embassy in Sri Lanka. Stupid, ignorant and racist people work here. Services are really slow. And no visa appointments for people. And the service is terrible even we visit the embassy. Germany is such a nice country which welcomes all. But it’s sad how embassy which represents the Germany functions like this. This is a disgrace to the country too. Even the Sri Lankan working in this embassy are so dumb and disgusting

Die deutschen Behörden sind freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Beamten am Empfang sind jedoch eine Geduldsprobe... Schlechtes Englisch, wussten überhaupt nicht was zu tun ist usw. Außerdem ist die Kommunikation über Email sehr schlecht. Uns wurde versprochen, dass die Behörden zu uns Kontakt aufnehmen, sobald es Neuigkeit zum Pass gibt. Aber erst nach mehreren Wochen und mehreren Anrufen wussten wir genaueres.

Es werden Termine über Schwarzmarkt verkauft für den wir ca 800-1000€ zahlen sollen. Seit Februar versuche ich Termin zu bekommen jedes Mal wird telefonisch an Webseite angewiesen und auf Webseite gib’s überhaupt keine Termine. Aber über Agent ( schwarz Markt) gib’s zufälligerweise Termin. Das ist ein Frechheit.

Die Beamten am Eingang sind super unfreundlich und haben uns beinahe schon ausgelacht, als wir ein Problem mit den Dokumenten hatten. Keine Hilfsbereitschaft oder Freundlichkeit. Wir sollten eine Woche später wiederkommen, obwohl wir Ihnen sagten, dass unser Anliegen sehr dringend ist. Die schlechteste Botschaft, in der ich je war.

Use the temple lane entrance if you are going to collect passport. Often drivers will drop you to the wrong entrance which is on another road. Fast and convenient service from embassy. Cozy waiting area. All your stuff will need to be locked in a locker when you enter to collect the passport, including bags, Mobile phones.

Super kind and attentive workers. My process of marriage recognition, new passport and ID went super fast. They have been communicating with me beforehand via email so my process went very smoothly. mrs. Kirsten and Mrs. lakshika were super competent and extremely helpful and kind. Thank you again

Ich habe gestern in der Service angerufen die sagten mann sollte im Internet einen Termin online machen und die sagten das alles geht ab Januar die Termine und habe jetz erst gesehen da steht man kann Termine erst ab März machen weiß einer davon was ? Kann man ohne Termin einfach dort hin gehn ?

5 Sterne für das Deutsche Personal aber nur einen Stern für das srilankische Personal das in der Botschaft arbeitet. Super unhöflich und kein bisschen hilfreich. Besonders die Dame die das Telefon beantwortet. Ich kann überhaupt nicht nachvollziehen warum so etwas toleriert wird!

i would like to mention few points regarding the VFS staff their not professional, they don’t know what documents need to take from the client, also sms visa status alert their taking the payment but no sms Will receive. Why their taking the payment from the client and cheating.

They provide visa for the family months after the visa for the main applicant. If you are a skilled married person and planning to relocate to Germany, just try a country like Netherlands, UK, etc. Otherwise you'll have to be away from your beloved ones for months..

I was waiting more than an hour to be called my number. It turns out that receptionists have not informed that another person is waiting. Just wasted time due to poor communication of the staff. Other than that, all people were friendly.

Some of the visa office employees are really unfriendly and rude. Most of the information is passed orally instead of putting up notices for everyone to see (especially information regarding opening houses and service times).

Worse embassy ever with an inefficient staff. No reply for the emails or calls. The other European embassies like Netherlands have the same work load, but their work is way more efficient and friendly....

The call center is rude. The lady who answer the phone is really bad .she does not know to communicate with people properly. The call center does not provide the relevant information which we require.

Super fast service. Got my long-term visa in just 2 days after the visa appointment. The staff was so nice, was nice enough to call me and ask for a missing document, without delaying the visa.

The call center is very rude. Wanted a reference and the lady sarcastically smiled and said "I DONT KNOW..." . Was extremely rude and more likely scolded me calling for assistance.

Worst call center ever met. What ever you asked, answer is "I don't know." or "They are busy". They don't respect to caller. We call to get some information but won't get anything.
