Don't protect but they do serve... tickets that is. Cst. Stel #2257 took my registration, insurance and drivers license neatly in the folder the registry gives you, and handed me back only my registration outside of the folder, and a ticket of course - withholding my insurance papers and folder. Being a new graduate and being upset about a $155 ticket, I didn't even notice this until he was long gone away to ticket other people who make a one time mistake. I accidentally made a right turn on a red light that had a no turn sign that wasn't visible by the time I changed lanes and needed to turn. These guys have no mercy. Even when I was crying and on the way to a Dr's appointment that he was holding me up to get to, to probably get bad news. Thanks for making my day better EPS. Now I have to figure out how to get it back or else I'm "driving without insurance." I bet they'd also try to give me a ticket for not having insurance and I bet they wouldn't even listen if I explained the situation.
Got in an accident and went here to file a report. Insurance company wants a police report since there is an injury. We go in and talk to a lady (black hair) and she says we cant file one because damage isnt over 2k. Ok fair enough, maybe my insurance is being dumb. Where this gets interesting, is my friend and I went back in to get the constables name, badge number and phone number to give my insurance in case they need a police report and wanted to inquire with him. We are greeted by "they're back" in a condescending tone from the lady. We ask for the constables information, she calls him over and he then refuses to give me any information. Not even a first name. Says it's not their issue, the insurance company needs to fill out forms not them. I ask again for his information and he says "you're not gonna need it". Absolutely terrible experience from civil servants. The constable refusing to give me even a first name, or a badge number WHILE ON DUTY is completely unacceptable.
Returned from work today 29 march at 6 pm only to find that someone has blocked my parking lot .I tried to talk to them but they walked away saying that i should park somewhere else . I tried to contact the rental office but it was closed already. I approached the person again and asked them to move their vehicle again but they didn't listen and when i told them i am going to report it to the police they even offered to call the police on my behalf , such was their confidence in the inefficiency of the edmonton police . And when i called the EPS at 7 pm they suggested that a officer might visit but no one came and then i got a call at 11pm only to tell me that they can't help me even if someone has blocked me in my parking and i need to contact rental board.
At 8:22 in the morning after my shift I dropped by at this station and had a bad service. One gentlemen approached me and say how can I help and I replied I need to secure a police clearance. Instead of telling me that I have to fill in the form first he says “can’t you read ? Go in the middle and see the sign. He wasn’t wearing any ID Or name tag ,I can describe him an Asian guy wearing glasses very unfriendly. Anyways I completed the form and had to go to post office for money order and went back again to police stn. I feel relieved when he wasn’t the one to attend me it was a nice lady officer and complited my form . Five stars to lady officer .
The old bald guy making me feel that I am stupid. I had rear accident and its literally not my fault, I am asking them if they can call the person who is not cooperating and doesnt want to give his insurance after the incident. He said that if there is no major damage to my vehicle why I am experiencing pain on my neck. Wow! Just because it is only few scratches does it mean the impact is not much and it will not cause pain due to a sudden movement of my head at that time? That guy reminding me that sometimes justice comes to those people who are the same as his color.
Three times I’ve arrived here 1 hour to 30 minutes before closing. We wait in line and when we approach the desk we’re advised we can’t report the accident we were on because we’re too close to closing. The officers you had today are terrible on customer service. Today he said “normally he would help us” statements like this should never be made as you make us feel excluded. On top of this, complaining he’s been here for 10 hours is not a sob story we wish to hear. All we want is to report an accident and move on with our lives.
I went in to report a minor theft and spoke with Cst. Filipchuk. He was absolutely lovely, spent over a half hour with me trying to resolve my problem and did everything he could to help me, including stating he’d look into it further in the next couple of days and call to follow up. I’m not sure why this division has such a low rating but despite the bad circumstances I had a great experience.
I was pretty intimidated after reading the reviews, since it was my first time reporting a car collision. I visited this morning to report my case (my at-fault fender bender that happened yesterday), and was provided with help from the female officer. I am so sorry for what the other people have experienced here, but tbh I have nothing to say but only good things. Thank you officers!
Had my first fender-bender and went to the police station to report it! They were helpful and prompt! I'm sorry everyone else has been having such a poor experience but for me this location is great! Everyone at the front desk was kind and courteous will definitely go here again. Hopefully I don't have to but if I do I will go to this police station!
I called in to follow up after my girlfriend had called in using another person's phone to report an incident to see if we needed to come in person to file a report; because she didn't know the number, the person who answered our call said he didn't have time to look it up. He was very rude and made it seem like our question was an inconvenience.
I need to get a police report done and there's only one person at the desk, I was second in line to do a police report and waited a half hour infront of the line to hear that I need to do some other steps before I can proceed. I don't know why city council ups our taxes every year you'd think for the taxes we pay we'd have amazing service
what kind of police station is this? the officers are rude and push everything to just to online even if it's a serious collision. we had one that we wanted to file a police report/hit and run and they didn't want to file anything because the damage was under 2000. cant believe how sad I am from this.
We got bear maced on Whyte Ave and within seconds of my 911 call the police were with us. Their timely response meant that the perpetrator was caught and arrested, and it was greatly appreciated by my fiance, my friend and I. Seeing their dedication to their city is truly awe-inspiring.
Went in to file an incident report for a collision I was in. As the only person in line i stood and watched 3 cops eat tostitos chips for 20 minutes without so much as acknowledging that I was waiting. Even after establishing eye contact with 2 of 3 of the officers.
I had been in an accident and was a bit intimidated by the experience that I was going to be facing. The Constable from the front desk to the back room were personable and pleasant! Thank you for making things a little bit easier. Brittani
Guy was so rude on front desk. I had a picture of the car who hit and ran my car. And police officer refused to check. Now I understood why police has bad reputation in Canada. Cause they are just there to have fun.
Went to report car collision and got a ticket! MONEY GRAB. The officer was Asian not wearing uniform or badge. One officer at the desk. Very slow service be prepared to spend more than 2 hours to make a report.
Bald old guy was kinda rude and took forever to tell me to call a number after he helped out everyone that was behind me. This guy has been T this desk to long. If he worked for me he would be fired.
Had gone with a friend of mine to report a fender bender. Lady officer (forgot to get her name ) was extremely polite and courteous and a professional. Was really nice dealing with her.
Every time I've needed them the police have been such a massive disappointment. It's sad to realize that if I'm ever in real danger I shouldn't expect much from them.
Waited 25 minutes at the front desk to see someone, even though there was several people just sitting at desks not helping with the line that stretched out the door.
I showed the officer a hit-and-run offence and he told me it's a paint chip! (Like a paint chip can suddenly appear in an hour). Extremely rude and condescending.
Southeast Division has consistently responded when required and supplied helpful, useful information when queried by phone. Thank you from a satisfied resident.
Never had an issue here that I didn't deserve. It looks much nicer than the one downtown. And the staff here seem very friendly compared to many other locations
Do they really have to test their sirens every time they use the car At ANY TIME OF DAY ??? disturbs nearby elderly residents ACCROSS THE STREET !!!!
Wish officers had a better sense that they are here to service the public and not to show off their power. Rude staff and seemed to be on a power trip.
Huge line up...no one at the counter. Or in sight...management should do a better job....maybe there is no Incentive for timely customer service....
The officers at the front desk were very helpful in directing a person on what they need to do for background checks and filing a proper statement
No help. Called 911 after an accident and was told to deal with it myself. Call again as I then thought the guy was impaired again no help.
I've been into this police station MULTIPLE times. Every single officer I've encountered here has been lovely, patient and professional.
Very INEFFICIENT staff who deals with collisions. It took me more than '1.5 HOURS at the RECEPTION DESK to just get my damage sticker.
Very rude staff . Not professional at all . Made me wait for 45mins and they were on computer and walk around . Front desk was empty .
Called three times, phone just keeps ringing, no one picks up, or no message explaining why. This is what we get for our tax dollars.
Just witnessed a Police vehicle drive through 2 red lights without flashing their lights or even slowing down. Complete clowns.
Got in an car accident. (1st time, hopefully last time) They were friendly in how to write out the report and what to include.
The tall lady was nice. She could not be as friendly as a car sales, but good enough as a police officer. Service was quick
Chick on the phone was not straight forward enough on information that I eventually found on the internet
Always have had polite considerate officers who always help with problems and resolve situations.
%100 clown show, from the front to the back and top to bottom. A shame my taxes pay for this.
CST WILSON was super helpful in assisting me with reporting a traffic collision.
Constable Dublanko is not fit to be a rent a cop at an abandoned strip mall.
Look at what Mother Nature brings, across the Edmonton Police Station …
Cst Kingsbury wrote me a speeding ticket while I was 100% not speeding.
No help at all, very dismissive. Are police like this in Edmonton?
Why taxpayers are wasting money on these irresponsible people?!
Had a great experience and officers were patient and helpful
The staff here are very personable, caring and professional.
No help and dismissive this is who we pay to "serve" us.
Very slow to respond . needs more people power
DO NOT TRUST THESE FRONT DESK PAPER COPS.
Very rude unprofessional staff.
Rude and ignornant staff.
yall are mean …
We have police?
Very busy...
Hated it.
