It’s pretty well maintained, though the circuit (around 7km) is mostly around a fenced off reserve. There’s one viewing platform, and the view of the wetlands is okay. If you walk the full circuit, there’s one grassed section with what feels like a cat track, that could make you wonder if you’re off track. It’s fine. And you’ll very briefly have to jump onto a road then a court to pick up the trail again. All in all, it’s a good walk but there are better. Oh, and no amenities.

The paths are long! Go slow, look up, down and around. Stop and smell. Sit and touch. Find something new - a flower or a bird. Remember that that bird could have flown across the equator to get here! It's the experience and journey that count. Relax and be ever mindful of the moment of peace this place brings. Then walk towards Seaford Beach through Kananook Creek to the pier for extraordinary views of the bay. Ahhh the sincerity.

For the Seaford section: A very important place but not particularly visitor friendly, with limited signage and no designated car parking (other than some unmarked parking on the side of Austin Road). The walk around the Seaford wetlands takes about two hours, and it is just 'around' - the path is mostly removed from the wetlands themselves. It's probably best experienced by bike.

Lots of bird wildlife use the designated wetlands making it a perfect place to do some bird watching. The education centre at the Edithvale end is great to learn about the basics of the native area with multiple viewing platforms and huts. Further along there is a bike/walking trail through Chelsea and eventually somewhat connects to the Seaford wetlands area.

Beautiful wetlands full of abundant bird and frog life. Spotted 2 swamp harriers, a pelican, a great white heron, many welcome swallows, willie wagtails, red-rumped finches building a nest, 2 whiskered terns, and heard little grass birds, a thrush, pobblebonk frogs, common froglet and other frogs - paradise!

Very pleasant bike ride if you are not in a hurry. Links up with paths along the railway line and also with the trail from Carrum to Mooroduc along Peninsula Link. You can do a complete circuit around the wetlands. Don't forget to let walkers know you are passing with a gentle bell ring.

Loved it...such a pleasant walk and the dog enjoyed it also. Lots of flowers and birdlife. Busy with foot traffic and bikes...be aware that most bike riders dont let you know they are coming up behind you so you do need to keep eye out for them and any kids you have with you.

Had a great time, even with the weather changing every ten minutes. The scenery does change as you go along and there are quite a few different bird calls about. Good pathway and lots of seating. There are wetland viewing platforms at a few different spots as well.

This place is beautiful! I have only walked a few miles on the walking tracks, but it's unique and very healing ...

Wetlands are a natural habitat for frogs and birds. The wetlands themselves are fenced off, but there are walking/cycling tracks around all sides, fairly level. There's a bird hide at the south end.

Love running and cycling along this loop. Good track maybe they should make the northern section a proper pathway. Good to see the birds dogs and people wondering the path.

9kms of beautiful views and clean path with enough space for pets, pedestrian and bikes. Sometimes motorbikes would get in but great place for a hike in middle of suburbs.

A wonderful place to watch and photograph resident and migratory birds: bush birds, waders, waterbirds and raptors. Thankfully the wetlands have been protected.

Simple and plain walk fair views nothing special but nice for a casual walk around the area... watch the mosquitos especially in the afternoon!

Good to walk around with the dog. bikes come up behind you without using their bells (whats with that) quite often, so be on the lookout.

Great place to visit for a walk/ run/ cycle. There's a long track (about 6km) that goes around the entire wetlands and it's very flat.

Great walk, plenty of bird life. Most of the walk is paved except for the are along Kannanook Creek which can be muddy when wet.

I love t these wetlands and walk them each day. Peaceful , green and full of life. On a sunny day, life couldn't get any better.

One of my favourite places for a birding visit. Give few months of rain , ponds will fill, birds will return.
