Magazine Street vet group broke apart in 2022 and at least one doctor left and started this new clinic - East Side Veterinary. I followed my vet -Dr. Jo - here. I like this new space. My vet is a patient person, a wonderful young woman and a caring doctor. She takes her time with my dogs, talking and petting, squatting if she must to be on their level. That makes trust in dog and owner. She is good with exploring options. I have seen her get emotional over her charge, we all wept as we put my old dog down. she cares about the Whole situation. She or one of her staff will call and check on the well-being of the dog or cat after it’s visit. While the front staff are not particularly friendly .. no ‘welcome back’ and no smiles, but they do their job and this is my only “fault.” hey, the nurses are great. I will say,on the negative side, the whole medical profession seem to be trying to sell us things we don’t need. Try not to accept unnecessary treatments. The good vet can help keep costs down by keeping the owner calm and doing minimal “What If” Procedures. That’s why I followed Dr Jo here -even further away from my house than Magazine street. I like Dr. Jo.

Dr. Scott and the team at Easy Riverside Veterinary Hospital went above and beyond to help us when our cat fractured his femoral head. Dr. Scott was the only vet we consulted who suspected that both sides of our cat’s hips were injured. Had he not recommended additional x-rays under sedation as part of the pre-op exam for our cat, then we would have only addressed half of the problem for our little guy. That would have meant his recovery would be hampered, and he would have had to go through a second intensive surgery not too much later when we realized something was still wrong. Thanks to the care we received, our kitto is making a happy and impressive recovery, and we were spared our cat’s further pain and suffering, plus thousands of additional costs to correct his injury. East Riverside provided us with the most reasonable quote out of a dozen hospitals consulted, and the care received was exemplary. We are so, so, so grateful to them for saving our sweet little guy.

No words can really describe the level of care the veterinarians provide for all the animals that come through their doors. Were not for the high attention to detail and always going the extra step, I don't think I would have ever had the time or the opportunities to better the final days and even years of my late kitties. My anxieties are always assuaged when I'm expecting the worst case scenarios after a traumatic event as I've had some special needs cases with chronic and terminal illnesses that ended in inevitable heartbreak. The way they worked in tandem with specialists and supported all of my efforts against impossible odds has been astounding. If I could recommend anyone, it's Dr (K)evin, who has empathized and invested his self to my kitties care and has had a magical touch even when *coughPeteycough* could have been a whale (pun intended) of a nightmare. 5 stars all around

The upselling is gross. I had 3 options for treatment and the most expensive ($2500) was pushed on me by being told, "I'm just telling you what I would do if he were my cat.", and being very vague about medication option, coming from a doctor to someone on a fixed income. I found out from internet research and the other vet there a couple months later that my cat can be on medication ($21/month) for the rest of his life. I go to the vet for care not to make them max profits. I got a bad vibe a few times since they moved and staff changed, I now go to Banfield Pet Hospital and had a much better experience. Also, there's a lot of five-star reviews and yes of course they're wonderful if you blindly trust them and give them money, but, the one and two-star reviews have the same thing in common.

The vets here care about making money and don't care about cats. Ever since Dr Amy left this place and Magazine Animal Clinic (owned by same people) has gone heavily downhill in quality of care. This clinic charges you extra if you bring your pet in an hour before close. I understand not wanting to stay late but this tells me the clinic cares more about squeezing as much money out of desperate pet owners than caring for pets. Also why does a hospital close at all? Let alone closing at 4pm on a Saturday. Normal clinics are closed so the hospital should be open. That's why it's a hospital. They don't deserve to call themselves a hospital. This is just another scam clinic trying to rip people off.

My cat Sofi is a rescue with significant anxiety issues. It is quite challenging to find a clinic where the vet and staff can manage her. I brought Sofi into East Riverside for an annual exam and truly received first class care for her. Dr. Teresa is knowledgeable and caring, and all the vet techs really knew how to manage Sofi. They also fully debriefed me following her visit so that I knew what to expect and how to manage any problems that might arise. I have the utmost confidence in the entire East Riverside team and will never take a pet anywhere else! If you care about your pet... take them to East Riverside!

Took my kitten here because it was recommended by a friend. Everyone was very nice, but the doctor told me my cat had a heart murmur and he wouldn’t be able to receive anesthesia, which means they wouldn’t be able to fix him. She recommended a $600 echocardiogram and didn’t present any other options for moving forward, except simply not getting him fixed. I thought this was ridiculous so I took him to a different vet to get a 2nd opinion. The other vet said my kitten did NOT have a heart murmur, and he was able to fix him for me. I will not be going back to east riverside veterinary hospital

This stunning place have a team that is highly experienced and extraordinary personality East Riverside and Magazine Animal clinics are sisters waiting to serve all of your pets needs. My pet King Rocket Legend goes to get his annuals and for any and all emergencies with him . They treat him so well that he actually gets anxioushappily excited to go to the vet. I was heartbroken that Dr. Amy left. Dr Theresa is amazing as well. I’m disappointed with the move even though the new facilities are very nice. Somehow the warm and friendly atmosphere at the Magazine location didn’t transfer to the new location. The front desk people are rude, terse, and dismissive. This is not just on one occasion. My cat needs surgery soon. I have seen the death of my Aussie and multiple visits (my cats with this practice). It must be 5 figures easily by now. If the front office can’t be courteous, I’m done.

We brought in a stray cat that had followed us home and took up camp on our porch - we were worried it had been lost, so we took him to this clinic who were so wonderful. Naya at the front desk was so thoughtful and caring and helped us track the chip (turns out the cats previous owner had died but we found a kindhearted neighbor who could take in the cat). We just moved to the area with our three cats and Naya’s thoughtfulness and genuine care cemented the decision to make this our local vet.

Due to our clinic being closed on the weekend, I brought by own dog there to get treated when she wasn't feeling good. They discovered she had pancreatitis and monitored her during the Labor Day weekend. They continuously updated me and treated her like she was their own. I would highly recommend this place!! I took my dog here for a dental cleaning and had an amazing experience. Dr. Jo and the staff were incredibly communicative and accommodating during the entire process. At the last minute, my dog had to stay overnight and I had no worries about the change in plan. Upon pick up, it was clear my dog and others enjoyed their time there. Plus, the building is amazing. I'll for sure be coming back for all my dog's vet needs! Thank you for the great service!

The vet and vet tech were super lovely and the space is gorgeous but the person who checked us out didn’t like dogs and it showed— she was also rude when I checked my bag and noticed meds were missing. The rest of my interactions have been very positive. I didn’t get a call about my pup’s lab results but it was super easy to reach out to the vet—super informative. Will go back, but may request self check out next time.

The stylish waiting room is subdued and quiet. The receptionist greeted me upon entry and was professional. I was doing transport for a rescue organization for an emergency surgery. All vets are skilled and knowledgeable and take the time to explain the diagnosis and plan of care! You're in good hands at East Riverside Veterinary. Not only is the office stylish and gorgeous, the staff is friendly and so kind not only to the fur babies, but also to the owners.They took the best care of my senior cat, keeping him overnight to make sure he was fully recovered from anesthesia. They trimmed his nails and fed him before i got him the next morning. He is now a brand new kitty.

Dr. Jo and all the staff are absolutely wonderful. Dr. Jo is very thorough in explaining things and she even responds to texts if you need anything between visits. She has taken such good care of my babies...and me, too! The clinic itself is very clean and the decor is amazing. I highly recommend Dr. Jo and East Riverside Veterinary Clinic.

We took our dog here for neutering and his first annual vaccines and had a fantastic experience. Clean, modern hospital; friendly, helpful staff that kept us updated throughout the procedure; and most importantly, Jameson quickly recovered with zero issues. We will happily be returning for his future check-ups and needs.

Dr. Johanna is amazing! She was able to perform an emergency surgery for our little old lady dog. She made the entire process very easy for us and put our minds to ease as concerned pet owners. The facility itself is very up to date as well. Definitely would recommend for pet care.

I wish the vets and techs would take a little bit more warming up time for the dogs, like mine, who are anxious, before just jumping into it. Besides that, the facility is very nice, you can almost always get in as soon as you need too, They also have on-site inside boarding.

They were really wonderful to us in our difficult time and I greatly appreciate everything they did for us. The doctors and the staff were both understanding and very comforting. Everything was explained to us and we were treated with respect.
