My experience with Rob De Jonge... Just a few of many events I could use as an example... At the previous years AGM 1999 we made note that any invoices over $500 were not to be paid without approval from the strata committee. and then in 2020 this happens. Robert De Jonge PAID - $770.00 of STRATA FUNDS to: Owner of a Unit for REMOVING BIRD POO! Robert De Jonge PAID - $16,445 to: B & S Levering Painting & Decorating WITHOUT giving the Strata Committee a chance to inspect completed works and we found faults that should have been fixed PRIOR to paying! PAID WITHOUT Strata Committee approval Only the payment of the deposit was approved by the committee. While Rob De Jonge of Duke Real Estate was engaged, feedback received from other unit holders was never good especially after Rob De Jonge paid the contractor $16,445 from our strata fund because the contractor requested payment. Rob De Jonge paid this WITHOUT giving us an opportunity to inspect works done or even checking if it was ok to pay this invoice. To this day we are trying to sort out this disaster of a job and are dealing with limited funds left because of this unprofessional behavior. I would also like to mention that this contractor was supplied by Rob De Jonge and that he stated that he uses them regularly. Our last AGM was NOT even held within the Strata Act time-frame thanks to Dukes Realestate. The unit holders voted to TERMINATE Dukes Realestate Services and NOT re-engage based on the being frustrated, disappointed and not provided a service that was being paid for. Immediately Rob De Jonge said abruptly "I might as well get up an go now". I had to tell him to sit down and finish the meeting as that what he was getting paid for. Luckily we decided to close the meeting as Rob had become emotional which made it too hard to work professionally with him. After the meeting myself and other unit holders were inspecting the grounds - Rob De Jonge still felt the need to hurriedly come across to us, abruptly interrupt our conversation and have a rant about how he believed he did such fantastic for us. Dukes realestate had always provided minutes for the AGM but to this day we are still waiting for them BUT Rob De Jonge made sure he was paid in full for running the meeting and any other services. Note: recorded audio from meetings are good to have on file for posterity in case evidence is ever required in court. The only reason the Strata group did not remove Dukes Realestate many years earlier is because they did not know how to until I became presiding officer. Our new Strata management BestStrata is like a breath of fresh air. They are available, professional, communicate electronically and by phone, they have a web portal for customers and have an office centrally located. Our last meeting held a week ago was run so very well. Financial reports are so easy to read, pie charts and well structured. We all left feeling like there was much to do but at least we were in competent and professional hands. I had to constantly call Rob De Jonge to deliver the Strata records to the new strata management... weeks later Rob De Jonge dumps the folders, not even in a plastic bag. Out the front of my homes front door in full view of the street where they could be stolen, blown away etc. In the end you showed just how professional you are! (this is on security video, you were wearing your runners and suit!) On 20/08/2020 many weeks after terminating Dukes Realestate our funds were still being held captive by Duke Realestate. I had to threaten Rob De Jonge with calling the police and reporting it as theft to get any action and then BestStrata had to send a staff member to Rob's house to collect the check. I VERY HAPPY WE CHANGED STRATA Management to BestStrata and TERMINATED DUKES REALESTATE!

Worst experience ever! Never want to deal with Robert De Jonge EVER EVER AGAIN! Wouldn't trust him to do something on time even if my life depended on it. If only he was a competent as he thinks he is. From running for council to renting out parking spots Robert De Jonge needs to focus on at least doing Strata Management that he is paid for properly. Dukes Real Estate is still using a green screened customer management system from 15 years ago that looks like it's a DOS prompt. Robert probably thinks that's the best thing since the invention of the wheel! If you think having Dukes Real Estate as property manager was bad enough. You can't imagine the fiasco when it comes to getting rid of Rob De Jonge. It's like dealing with a child having a tantrum. Duke Real Estate / Robert De Jonge is a reliable as a decapitate chicken reading a newspaper. If you don't want to go through the pain and suffering we did.... turn around and run... run as fast as you can!

Unprofessional real estate agent Rob. Turned up to our rental unannounced when we first moved in and bragged about losing his license. I advised him I was actually quarantining in the house currently and he gave me a high five. I also received a message well after we finished our lease and moved out saying I needed to pay rent even though our lease was over. Showed up to inspections outside the allocated period as he had no idea what time period he had booked in. Sent us a new lease contract that was invalid with dates and description of the house that he tried to get us to sign. When the issue was raised he changed the subject and never responded to the email sent questioning this. They also used photos from the neighbouring house to advertise ours for the next set of tennants. Lucky I kept all documents, email chains and screenshots as proof of all this in case they claim this is untrue as I have seen in other reviews. I am happy to supply this.

Rob is unprofessional, rude, obnoxious and an incompetent strata manager!! If I could give him a minus star I would! He changed our insurance policy over whilst we had a current claim outstanding to which he jeopardised our claim! He then paid upfront with an insurance company without authorisation or knowledge of any of the owners. He does not have authority to use any funds without owners approval. He notified the owners after the fact and once it had be paid!! He has promised it all and delivers nothing! His self praise and high recommendation of himself is ludicrous!!! He does not reply to emails or any communication. I have sent numerous emails regarding issues with no reply!! We have requested a copy of our agreement as we never signed anything with no reply!! This is just the tip of the iceberg!! Avoid at all cost!!

Should be a negative star.... Where to start. Rob De Jonge His name should be "Probably." Unprofessional. Cocky Fast talking flog. Has simply no idea of how to deal with people and tenants alike. No final inspection for previous tenant and no inspection at start of tenancy. New tenant expected to get keys from previous tenant. Police called to remove previous tenant. Oh..... and there's also his inappropriate suggestions. Quite simply he should not be in the real estate business. Take heed indeed. I'll certainly be contacting the necessary departments along with media platforms. Just save your time and money and give this flog a miss.... Further to this . . . 5 days into the lease and this professional(Pfffft)has still made no contact to confirm inspection and repairs to follow.

Okay if you want dodgey agent, they will get stuff fixed, and you will probably get stuff fixed that doesn’t need fixing. Extremely poor communication but then again I stopped answering phone calls because I found them too annoying to deal with. Turned a blind eye to my dog for five years which is the only reason I stayed as long as I did. Very unprofessional which may suit some. Dukes owner Rob loves to gossip and will not respect your privacy. He appears to try to make friends with tenants rather than establish professional working relationships. If you need a dodgey agent or would like to make a new friend, go with Dukes. If you are seeking a professional and respectful working relationship avoid Dukes like the Coronavirus.

Very unprofessional and incompetent group, mismanaged our 3 bedroom property with wrong (awful) tenants which Rob admitted, without periodic inspection or follow-up, poor communication, and left us with a damaged property that costed us $$thousands to repair. Talks too much (mostly self praising himself), and listens very little. I doubt this group has any real experience in property management like they claim to have. Please avoid dukes at all cost, you will save yourself the headache and money. Should be a negative star.

Been with dukes 3 months now, he has done more for our apartments then any other strata manager, Can't thank him enough, Saved us money and showed us how to do it, has been very patient with us as there was a lot of things that needed fixing but he is working with us. Highly recommended.

I didn't receive my rent from this agent for 4 months. He never been on time with the rent and inspection schedule. He made a lots of fake excuses to not pay my rent. I am preparing next stage to get my rent. He is the worst agent, and he will scream to me again with this review.

Absolutely shocking, made my mother feel very uncomfortable while dealing with Rob. Also very unprofessional in dealing with the ex tenant and us whilst moving in. I wouldn’t rate this real estate agent any stars if I could.

Leases out weather Damaged Properties. Mould is a serious issue which causes severe health issues. Be Very Cautious of moving into anything leased out by this real estate Agent.

Been with Rob for about ten years now . Has saved us so much money compared to the other big co. we were with . Our insurance is always paid on time . I have no complaints.
