Dr Baker is so impatient and borderline rude. Kind of the opposite of the qualities you want your psychologist to have. He constantly cut me off when I would answer his questions, making my self esteem issues even worse as I internally questioned what I was doing wrong to make him so impatient with me. It was also hard to direct the session to the issues that mattered as he would go on massive tangents about irrelevant things, such as, one session he spent almost the entire session focused on what was the meaning behind my choosing a brightly coloured phone case. And at the beginning of session two (before I’d even been able to have a meaningful discussion about why I was seeing him) he gave me a simple exercise to do at home that took 5 minutes to explain, but then wasted the entire session doing the homework exercise over and over which I could have done on my own as originally suggested, instead of talking through my issues. At $200-odd an hour, I cried afterwards at the money I’d wasted. I gave him the benefit of the doubt and stuck with him for 9-10 sessions but yeah, it didn’t get better. Do I doubt he’s highly educated and knowledgeable about psychology? No. However he needs a lot of work on how to relate to his patients and be more aware of how he interacts with them and also in letting them guide the sessions better.

After seeing several different psychologists, I find Dr. Martin Baker to be the most realistic, understanding and knowledgeable about my PTSD after a serious MVA 3 years ago. Attending CPT (Cognitive Processing Therapy) twice a week is incredibly helpful. Each session is very well structured, with a real-world approach that is very beneficial to my recovery. The practical assignments are helping me identify the issues I face daily due to my PTSD, and teaches me skills to change my trauma-related thoughts, feelings and behaviours. I am truly grateful for his help and guidance to view and deal with life realistically after a MVA. I have had a very tough journey in last 3 years, but seeing Dr. Martin is beginning to change that! Many thanks Dr. Martin. God bless you!

Easy to park the car. The professional is excellent with matured knowledge. Courteous, responsible. Flexible in regards of appointments. Oh! Scenic views calms me down. I don't like the chair . I would prefer single lounge. …
