If I could give them zero stars I would. I stopped at this location For the first time just now (Sun, Oct 13 @ 9am) to grab a couple of cachitos for my road trip. I was excited since I am a big Don Pan fan, especially the one in Doral. Unfortunately I bit into the worst cachito I have ever had. The meat tasted weird and when I looked at it it was brown. After showing it to my husband, we decided not to eat it and call the store to give them a heads up about it, so that other customers didn’t get these too. The first time I called it went to voicemail and it was full. I called a second time and the lady who responded passed me to her supervisor. I explained the situation to her as well, and she told me that that was impossible, that they were made at 7am. I confirmed my experience, told her that I’d be coming by later to return them and that I wanted to let them know so that they wouldn’t continue to sell these bad catchitos to anyone else. She told me that “everything here is good!” and then hung up. The whole experience was disappointing and after reading all of the reviews regarding poor customer service I can understand why. Does this place have an owner? Do they read these reviews? Do they even care? I will update this later after I return to the store to return my very bad brown catchitos. For now my recommendation is...DO NOT GO HERE, find a better Don Pan! Como venezolana me da pena que este Don Pan venda comida de mi Pais. Si realmente quieren comer en un buen Don Pan vayan a la que queda en El Doral o en la Flager (107 ave) que allí si van a poder apreciar lo que es un buen cachito.

Bakery items are really good. Prices are high end-ish. Parking is extremely limited. Drive-thru is slow, very narrow, poor speaker system, un-updated prices and at times there are arguments from other vehicles trying to cut in from the alleyway. What really bothers me is the drive-thru personnel asking for tips. Minimum wage is $15/hour. You're not a server/waiter getting paid below minimum wage and living off your tips. It's like a fast food establishment asking for a tip when you pay for your food at the window. It doesn't make sense!! Management needs to be looked at it this place and keep their employees from asking for tips at a drive-thru. Next thing will be tipping the police and fire fighters for coming to your emergency.

4/6/16 Very disrespectful employees always have a bad attidude tours the customers.I went through drive thru for a bread and cheese the lady(yasnely) at the window with a bad attitude told me to wait 15 minutes cause they were in the oven,i waited ,when i go through the drive thru after 15 minutes she told us they were all sold out. knowing that we were waiting in the parking lot. After i ask to talked to the manager(Marvery) she also came in with an attitude an instead of helping the situation she was demanding that they cannot hold a order if you havent payed. As a manager you should apologize and help as much as you can which in this case she never did.what a shame.good food bad employees. Never come to this place.

I really never take time to write reviews in Google, but I felt compelled to do so this time. I've read the bad comments here for this place (which were more than 1 year old) and I usually don't visit places with lower than a 4 star rating for my food. Due to time constraints and the proximity to my college I gave it a try. I came to realize that this place deserves more than a 5 star. The staff is very friendly, promptly takes care of their customers (even if you consider the times were they are extremely busy) and the best of all.... their food tastes GREAT!!! Anyone wanting great quality of food for a good price, this is the place to go.

  • Maria Fernanda Galarraga

I am from Venezuela, I have been going to this bakery for at least 6 years. For me is the best Don Pan of Miami, everything taste better here, the ladies working there are very nice and dedicated. I live in Midtown Miami and once in a while I just come to this place for the Latin Breakfast. My only complaint is that is more expensive like eating at a Denny's. They are at least 20% too expensive. On the other hand, do not believe the negative complaints from other people, those are just stinky Cubans who are lying because I have never seen any of those things happening to me at that place.

  • Johnnie Williams

What has happened to the Miami I once knew? My mother and I had the displeasure of visiting this establishment a few days ago. I don't know where they dug up these employees, but they need to be thrown back in. The staff is incredibly disrespectful, lack any kind of work ethic, and have the worst disposition. They really take the pleasure out of eating COMFORT FOOD. If you don't like interacting with people, then find a job where you don't have to. To those reading this review, I suggest you take your business elsewhere, because they are truly indifferent about it.

  • franklin colmenares

I called the store to ask the price and place an order for a birthday cake, the girl that answered the phone didn’t even want to give me the price. She claimed that I had to go in person to get the pricing and place the order. That is completely ridiculous, what if I didn’t like the price, I would have made the trip just to know the damn price. I could tell she did it even want to talk. They really need to get some competent people who are willing to help the customers. Thanks for nothing. I called another store and it took less than 5 minutes to get the price and place the order.

  • Tony Bodkin

3/16/2016 stood in line waiting as if they didn't want to serve you. Took 20 min for a sandwich and when it came out they gave me two. Sat at the table with two sandwiches which they rudely insisted that was my order. After I sat and touch both sandwiches, she came to my table and said it was a mistake and took the sandwich back and gave it to another customer. Completely grossed out and will never set foot back in this bakery. Don't come here if you don't want to get sick or grossed out. Irder number was # 328144 ticket # 220.

  • Isabel Williams

With this pandemic going on, where we are getting infected with a virus that kills and this establishment has an employee touching her masks and then the food. Wow! I politely told her why she not wearing gloves and is touching my food with her hand? She replied was too busy, want food or not? I said no I dont want the food. Not acceptable and did not buy. I know gloves are given to her or she could have used the instrument to grab the food and not her hands. Plain dangerous and inconsiderate during this time.

  • sebastian ensignia

Probably not the best “don pan “ location... but closing doors 25 mins before “closing time” or at least what it says on google.. not very professional. I understand being a Sunday afternoon, and also working in the service industry when is about time to finish.. all you want to do is close... but unfortunately AT LEAST I still have to serve until last minute. Instead of closing the whole place... maybe should just leave “drive thru” for last 30 minutes... ( bc im sure it had been closed before i had arrived)

  • Nilma Silva

I’m Don Pan client for long time. The cakes are amazing taste. But employees need to be more polite with customers. I arrived there waited for 10 minutes and they attended another customer that arrived there after me . When we are super welcome to the store make us to buy again

Yesterday I went To 590 NW 27 avenue, around 4.30 your employ Rosio toke my order and she doesn’t like because I ordered 4 Cuban sandwich and she is supposed to star to work , she has very bad actitud reacting upset showing a gesticulating face about the order , she needs better customer services , unfortunately I like a lot the sandwiches but when employees like that treat the people like trash is better try to find somewhere else to buy food.

  • Kelly

I believe that it’s the best bakery in town BUT it has a lack of leadership. I was standing on front of line, nobody ask me to be served some come from outside jump to the counter and they served them. The Superviser sees my situation. They were in front of me for two minutes with nothing to do and they didn’t help me. In the end, I think they have good products but they need to work in customer care.

  • J Witherspoon

Rude workers! We got here at 8:08. Website said they closed at 9:00. You could instantly tell the workers were upset to see us. Initially told us the coffee machine was turned off for the night but then changed their “mind”. They also sternly reminded us that the eating area closed at 8:30. What?!? Pastries are good but teach some common customer service courtesy to the employees , PLEASE!!!!

  • Jose

I hope someone cares about this comment but I'm never going there again. One of them gives you this attitude that it's not profecional. They never get my order right. I go there every Saturday and Sunday for breakfast and every time that I go they treat me worst and worst. Word of advice find another place to get you're cafecito con leche and pan cubano.

  • yonny pacheco

I am in town for training never been to Miami before. This place was delicious! I was a little intimidated because I don’t speak Spanish. I heard everyone else ordering in Spanish but I really didn’t need too. I had a beef empanadas. Wow! I also got a chocolate croissant. I placed a second order to go to have breakfast available tomorrow.

  • Raul Pelayo

I only buy bread cause the couple times I ate something i had bad experience, one time I got a long hair inside one of my empanadas and on other occasion inside of a ham cachito... I won't try again ...I will still buying the bread until I get an other hair inside of it. They sale hand sanitizer ... but they don't have a lot of hygiene .

  • Yelina Munoz

So I ordered Breakfast this morning and of course my order was wrong. I ordered a Cuban breakfast that comes with eggs, cuban toast and a cortadito. The only thing that arrived was scrambled eggs SMH! Who do you guys have doing the uber eats orders? My coworker ordered after I did and her order was incorrect as well!! Never again!

  • Nancy G B

This place is a nightmare. Horrible customer service, dirty, low quality food. Don’t even try the drivethru, you will remain unattended for a very long time. Bad cachitos and the personnel should be working in a place were they don’t have to deal with the public. This place needs to be reported with the DBPR for sanitary reasons.

  • Jonathan Passik

Best arepas in town. And better than the other Don Pan locations by far. This location has a drive-through and all the staff are friendly and efficient. I eat here quite regularly. The other bakery items are good as well but the classic shredded white cheese arepas are the best. I'm ashamed to say I eat about 10 a week.

  • JAY ALVA

I ordered one empanada and one café con Leche this came out to $10 aside from being way overpriced. I expect it at least to have quality but it is honestly one if not the worst empanada I have ever had in my entire life and a small coffee this all came out to $10 this should be a crime Never going to don pan ever again

  • yensy perez

Worst service ever. Very bad customer services manager super rude. I came back for second time and again worst customer service ever i wonder if the owner of this place read the reviews his business has cause I had been in other Don Pan and never had this horrible service just because I asked for scrambled eggs.

  • Ramon Martinez

Arrived at 7:40 pm for them to tell me they were closed. The sign at the door says they are open until 8:00 pm. Completely unacceptable, I don't like writing bad reviews, but at the same time a place like this doesn't really care about its customers.

Bad customer service. Worst don pan in Miami. They never have cheese never say thanks and they dont even care about the food very poor quality. Had an arepa with meat and the arepa was dried old and meat had no flavor and also dried. Does anyone care what's going on in this place how is it still open???

  • Maria J.

This was my usual go to when I worked on 27th Ave. Cachapas are ridiculously good, especially with a little cinnamon. Great breakfast all day, except the one bad thing is the eggs aren't all day. Natural orange juice, great cheese bread, thick croquettas, classic tequeños, & all the sweets are decent.

  • Ernesto Heredia

Really bad manner customer service from order taker ,desert are old and very hard.when I ask to changed it,cashier rolls her eyes and with a very unpleasant actitud.when I asked for mgr almost same negative actitud.i suggested all human in Miami do not go to this location to prevent a unpleasant time.

  • Apst. Rey Rivera

THE SERVICE WAS A DISASTER. ARGUIN FOR A COFFEE THAT THEY NEVER SERVE TO US AFTER WE PAY FOR IT. NO PEOPLE SKILLS WHAT SO EVER. ESPECIALLY THE LADY AT THE REGISTER. WE HAVE TO SHOW THE RECEIVED AS A PROBED THAT WE PAY FOR THE COFFEE AND THEY STILL ARGUED THAT THEY HAVE GIVED TO US. NO START FROM US.

  • Joshua Mayberry

Typical Miami service, no one greats you or acknowledges your existence of you don't look latin/Hispanic. Refused to take my order because they were afraid to speak English even tho I ordered in Spanish. The food was good but the attitude of the staff is horrible. Never coming back.

  • Juan

Can't speak for the rest of the food but there empanadas are horrible , don't wait your time there 3.50 for nothing because there just filled with air just bad quality. The only reason I decided to leave a review is to save the next person's time and money , DONT GET THE EMPANADAS

  • Isabel Celli

Worst! I usually have the Venezuelan lunch at other locations and this one was horrible. The beans were cold. The arepa wasn't fresh. They just reheated it. The plantains were fried in old oil so they smelled and tasted disgusting! As i walked out i could smell the old oil

  • Paula González

Terrible customer service. We were standing there for a while and non of the 3 employees even acknowledge us.. eventually I asked if we could be assisted, one of the ladies just turned around and told me with a bad attitude that they were busy.. never coming back..

  • Andres Linares

Two days ago me and wife arrived there for some coffe and empanadas, there were about 5 or 6 young ladies working who tottaly ignored us, i have say say: are you in business here?, one of them gave me the worst attitude ever in my life as she was serving my cofee.

  • ilyb

This place will never get anything other than 1 star because this same location sold me a dessert full of mold one day. All I dare to eat here is their cheese bread because it is baked fresh daily. Won't eat anything else. Do not recommend them at all.

  • ali t

I tell ya service was nice... and pastries too, fresh tasty...! And of course u better speak Spanish, coz obviously here everyone speaks... and even tho i dont, we understood each other fine, girls were nice... nice place...

  • Cris Richards

The one who take the order are rude they don’t even let you finish saying you order mask are not using correctly and i order son empanadas and they where super cold and my they gave a expresso instead of a regular coffe

  • Ana Cajina

Service is horribly slow. You place your order and they repeat the wrong order back and then give you attitude! I even said it in Spanish so it’s not a language issue. Incompetent employees are working here.

  • nitronosnos

WORST PLACE IN MIAMI..... STAFF SO F...KNG RUDE, TV SUPER LOUD, THE PLACE IS DIRTY I WOULD NEVER RECOMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYBODY.... JUST DONT GO DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY, TIME AND ENERGY GOING THERE.

  • Jennifer Sola

This is the WORST location possible. The staff is RUDE. The supervisor allowed their staff to mistreat customers. It is so sad! Such great food yet horrific staff! Go to a different location!!!!

  • Valery Contreras

Supposedly they close at 9:00 pm and I arrived at 8:15 pm to order something to eat but they told me that there was nothing because at 8:00 pm the kitchen closes. Bad service to the customer.

  • Mark B

Breakfast is good. Lots of options. Decent choices for baked goods. Coffee is so so. Service is average. They don't always speak English here and they did not understand my Spanish too well.

  • Jennifer Sola

The staff is the WORST I have EVER encountered. There is NO respect for it's customers. The supervisor is also horrible because she allowed disrespect to the customer in front of her face.

  • Pierina Bustamante

Terrible terrible service- we were ignored for 15 minutes even though it was empty. Every single staff was rude and went out of their way to make us feel un-welcomed. Do NOT recommend.

  • Caroline

Had a Pan con Bistec and it tasted sour. I started trying all the ingredients separately to see what was causing the taste, and to my surprise the whole sandwich was awful. Feels bad

  • Nabila Muci

One star but it deserves none. Arrived at 8:10 pm and they where already closing. No food or service. The cashier was super rude with my kids and gave us cold food. No napkins.

  • Kristy Edison

First time having Venezuelan food, and I absolutely loved it! Particularly the caramel cheesecake was amazing, and my daughter loved the beef pastelito! Great service as well!

  • Jorge Cortes

Horrible customer service, arepa served burnt pastry was old. When I returned burnt arepa, I was told it's only on one side. Staff not friendly or customer service skills.

  • Mariaelena Salgado

Called to order but was informed they do not take any over the phone orders. Very sad that they take forever and the customer service is not worth making the time to wait.

  • Curmmeka Sibert

Felt like we we're out of place as if we was in the wrong place if you get what I meant by that SMH felt unwanted and uncomfortable but the food was great …

  • V Morris

Agree with other reviewers, lacking customer svc.Not to mention no one spoke English,so they just stood looking at me, with confusion. But the beef empanada, was very good!

  • socotroco fernandez

I was there at 8:36 today 5/19/2018 and ladies inside told me that it was close, this is the second time I go there before 9:00 pm and they don't want sell me anything.

  • Joanna Jas

Horrible service. 4 ladies working, only one customer and I had to wait 15 minutes for one bread…I love this bakery but I’m not coming back to this specific one again.

  • Andreina Germosen

Wow so delicious ! I had the caprese sandwich with a papaya juice smoothie in water! So good! I’ll definitely be back for more great food and the delicious desserts.

  • Cary Banos

Excellent customer service. I have a don pan closer to my house but I love coming to this location. I rather take the drive just cause of the service they provide.

  • Thea Nabity

Love the cheese bread. The problem is the parking. There is not enough parking. You can park across the street at CVS but run the risk of having your car towed.

  • Summer Varela

Vine a la localización en 27 avenida y tienen el peor personal salió una de las empleadas a gritarme al parqueo atienden súper mal nunca vengan a esta localidad

  • Karen Steele

Wow! Food might be ok, but customer service minus 0. I waited around 25 minutes for a coffee and one empanada. Not a Hello, or thank you from them. Horrible.

  • Pirooz Pakdel

They do not ask or check who was waiting first. Just whomever they make eye contact with first is who gets served first. Quality of food however is great.

  • Alexis Marquez

Love it. Excellent customer service, the food is delicious. If you are around looking for some Cuban/Venezuelan or Colombian bakery this is the best

  • Adriana Ch

Very bad experience with the girls on the night shift, rude and refuse to make coffee at 8 at night, they don't heat the tequeños, bad bad service

  • Jeimy R

Staff didn't seem to want to work that day. Desserts looked old and the food was OK. The place was clean, but very sketch looking on the outside.

  • Hernandez Law Assistant

Food is good but avoid the drive through. Each time I go I spend 15-20 minutes in line. What’s the point of a drive through It’s ridiculous

  • Heinly Gomez

I took my friend from Ohio who isn't around Hispanic food often. She really enjoyed it. She is a foodie that gets extremely excited over food.

  • Certificates Phiacademy

Don’t order delivery with them, they are horrible. Delivered half of my order and when I asked for a refund they said I have to figure it out.

  • E P

Love their chicken fried empanadas! They are wrapped in a very tasty corn dough.... Their staff here is nice and work fairly quickly. Thanks!

  • Patricia Nuñez

It's good the food and the services, but never have guasacaca. If it's a Venezuelan empanadas, you know that the empanada eat with Guasacaca.

  • Katiusca “Katy” Perez

I'm giving this place 3 stars because their individual small cakes are old tasting. BUT the cheese bread is fresh daily and very delicious.

Cheese Bread just keeps getting small but and the price keeps rising. Bread is old and cold. El cortadito is horrible

  • Keren Pirela

They always forget an item when ordering on ubereats and the coffee always spills because they dont use cup holders.

  • Jefferson Perdomo

Good quality items. Everything looks fresh. Empanadas are very good, but too oily. Customer service could be better.

  • Jelissa Rodriguez

  • Javier Pacheco

Loved the empanadas, cachitos, tequenos and cachapa. Really good baked goods. Great variety of juices and coffee.
