"Great"
"Ordered from here food was absolutely horrendous - a shame as I have eaten from here in the past and it used to be very gd"
"Went to Dom’s place with a small group of young professionals on a quiet Tuesday night"
"I just ordered from here via just eat based on the Google reviews and just eat reviews"
"Wraps are OK, but we were charged an extra £2 when asked for a bit of humus to moisten what was otherwise a very dry wrap- £2 for a tiny bit of humus when an entire wrap costs £5 is way over the top -- I shall not be returning"
Great. Lovely food, good range of dishes and beer. Great staff and service. 100% recommend. Covid update: [early June] TERRIBLE service. staff seemingly shout and mumble at the same time, no napkins or cutlery provided when asked. Over/undercharged at random. Customers orders were confused with others, some given numbers some not. Staff member omeone simply shouted a number from across the room at me, out of context, rather than just asking 'did you order this or did phone you order over the phone'. Not just my experience but that of 2 other customers observed and friends who had similar experiences. Including missing bits of the order, unclear random shouting at customers demanding tone, confusion over price. I'm very willing to accept that things are difficult under Covid, but this is just bad service, could be easily rectified I'm not going back until restaurant service is resumed and until then I'll leave my 5* out of loyalty. But go renewed expectations of appalling service.
Ordered from here food was absolutely horrendous - a shame as I have eaten from here in the past and it used to be very gd. So I ordered 3 kofte wraps which were very basic in taste the salad was not fresh. They completely forgot to put garlic and chilli in all 3 which is just ridiculous as I specifically asked for chilli and garlic in my wraps - that's 3 unhappy ppl. The burger was the worse thing I've ever had - check the pictures below - stale and absolutely cold. Box filled with stale salad I couldn't even pick it up. Best to avoid this place as its not what it used to be.

Went to Dom’s place with a small group of young professionals on a quiet Tuesday night. Plenty of option on the menu, but a very appealing deal of £10.50 for a lamb burger and chips caught our eye. The burger was not a boring patty, instead it was filled with fresh meat straight from the grill. The chips looked great online and did not disappoint; what really stood out for me was the sauces provided, a garlic dip and a salsa-like pot was the perfect accompaniment for this meal. Fantastic value for money, a great tasty fresh but still fast food sit-in experience that could easily become an inexpensive monthly treat. Highly recommend!

I just ordered from here via just eat based on the Google reviews and just eat reviews. I have to say I am thoroughly disappointed. Firstly it arrived cold. Both the chicken and lamb takvuk were very over cooked, meaning they were dry and over charred. I also ordered the Mus veggie special wrap. The halloumi had no taste, it looked to be barely cooked/seared and the wrap itself was so soggy from the salad it did not hold its contents. If you know it's going to be delivered why not just separate the salad? Also other takeaways which offer similar food such as scoffs grill or nazar takeaway offer 2 types of rice and bread. On a plus the salad was nice and the chilli sauce was ok.
Wraps are OK, but we were charged an extra £2 when asked for a bit of humus to moisten what was otherwise a very dry wrap- £2 for a tiny bit of humus when an entire wrap costs £5 is way over the top -- I shall not be returning. Dom's- here's a free tip: if you want repeat customers, be generous with the small things. A spoon-full of humus may cost you 20p... if that. Charging £2 is taking the mickey and has lost you what would have otherwise been a regular customer. And another tip- your wraps need to be moistened with some humus!
I have been coming to Dom’s place for 4 years because in short I love it. The restaurant has existed for many years in the area but 5 years ago it was taken over by the grandson Dom and revamped. Dom is A warm kind and larger than life character that Is always interested in his customers life’s and building relationships with the regulars. The food takes a slightly modern take on traditional Turkish offering a wide range or delicious wraps and platters. This place is an understated local gem that I could not recommend more.
Wish I could give them a better review, after calling numerous times walked down to order takeout (not sure why they didnt pick up the place was empty). Ordered 2 meals to find half of the items I ordered were missing when I got home. Tried calling and messaging on facebook to resolve this to no response. The food i did get was fine but the fact that they were impossible to contact and half the food was missing was very disappointing.

Nice little place and great food. The veggie special was really good and good price for the size and variety on the plate. Plus they were happy to make it vegan by replacing the halloumi with falafel. (They hadn't quite realised yoghurt is not vegan though but it was on the side so not a problem!). My boyfriend was a bit disappointed with his wrap when he saw my dish but he said it was good. If you have a big appetite definitely get more than a wrap.
TERRIBLE SERVICE!! How long should it take to cook halloumi? I called ahead and was told it would TWENTY minutes! Then I arrive and it takes another FIFTEEN minutes. There was no one in the restaurant. Just telephone orders. Then the guy there offered no apology or reasoning other than repeating that they were busy. I come here maybe once a week as do many other work colleagues. I shall be passing on my horrible experience to them too.
Quirky place for a kebab shop...i had a lamb wrap wich was delish wrapped in a home made wrap bread..open till late..price are very competitive for the service and place given...the waiter advice me for the best choice and was a lovely guy from Madrid who surprises me as i though was english because of his fluent english!we had a sweet chat and invites me for a beer!!!bangin reggae music was tuning the place..10 stars...
I ordered sweet patatoe fries and a vegan donner via uber eats, the vegan donner I wasn't a fan off but I think that would be down to personal preference as I'm not a big fan of fake meat anyways but thought I'd give it a go , I can see how others may like it the sweet patatoe fries on the other hand where terrible, way over cooked and felt like they where a few hours old, also most of it was black and burnt
The food was well presented but very dry. The vegetarian dish was canned veg and salad. The bloody Mary cocktail was made from cheap watery Tomato Juice and had too much Tabasco in it. The anchovies were tasteless. I was overall disappointed with the food & drink. Also the food arrived BEFORE the drinks, staff were very friendly, but I don't think I'll be going back! I can't do more than 2.5* for this place.
I ordered via Uber Eats and got the vegan kebab. I had to triple-check that this was vegan because the taste was indistinguishable from real meat. the quality of all the ingredients was second to none and was absolutely my most tastiest experience of a kebab. When I'm next in London I simply HAVE to go in person to have it super fresh. Thank you!!!

The wrap's are delicious! I never normally write reviews, however the guys that run this place are very friendly and I have been getting my lunch from there regularly after recently moving in nearby. I wanted there number to order one for collection and saw a bad review!? It can't be this place. Fresh, delicious, good quality meat, very succulent and crisp salad :-). The Haloumi isn't bad either.
Charged £2.45 for a can of coke zero, and it was 6 months out of date. Guy didn’t really seem to care, handed me a diet coke instead and didn’t bother checking any of the other ones. They’ll be selling their foul tasting out of date coke at that markup for a while rather than bin it. The chicken wrap wasn’t great either, very dry. Don’t bother unless you’re desperate.
Had heard good reports of this place from friends. My friend and I called in here late on a Friday night and shared a mixed grill and a couple of pints of Camden Hells. Staff were friendly and told us a little about the history of the building and the restaurant. Food was tasty and I thought reasonably priced. Will be forwarding on the recommendations.
Service was terrible - such a small place and it took 5 people to look at one takeaway order so all the people sitting at tables were ignored. Had to get our own glasses, remind them about 3 times to get our drinks. Food was ok and portions were large, but definitely not worth the average number of stars others have given. Will not be back.
Horrible. A joke. £8 for a takeaway wrap that was SO small, and cold. Think nasty tasteless measly Tesco pre-made wrap, badly made, badly put together, not enough food, not a nice authentic wrap just literally the type you can buy multipacks of in the supermarket. Horrible little plastic sachets of sauces / dips. An absolute rip off. Avoid.
By far the worst wrap I've ever had in my life. Over priced, tasted rubbish and is very small for the price. I had to go get a second take away after. Massively disappointing for the prices they charges compared to other takeaways in the clapton area. Wouldn't recommend

Friendly, welcoming place with a chatty and entrepreneurial owner. The Turkish food (my friend and I had the halloumi plate and chicken tavuk plate respectively) is of high quality but the stand-our stars are the cocktails! I had Dom’s skull cracking raki cocktail which was amazingly potent and flavourful.
My favourite take out spot in the area! The food is super tasty, you can tell they use quality ingredients and they are open till 2am Fri and Sat! Plus, they often have great deals if you are eating in. It's all delicious but halloumi and peppers wrap is the one for me! …
Underrated: fair prices for delicious grilled meat sandwiches served with nice home made sauces

Lamb kofte is juicy and cooked just right. Hand cut sweet potato fries are a nice portion size and delicious. Only reason I don't give them 5 stars is because they don't have a option to have the chilli /garlic sauce inside the wraps (an option I really would consider adding)
Heard so much about Scott's and was excited to experience the restaurant first hand. There is no doubt that the food is incredible. My fish was cooked to perfection. The glazed carrots were the best I have tried. Service was excellent. A great place for a special occasion.
Staff are extremely friendly and welcoming soon as you enter and are there to help whenever you require. Food was amazing chicken cubes wrap especially. Definitely recommend visiting this place.

Very disappointed. Waited an hour for the food and when it arrived was cold. Not to mention the joke on the portion of the chips looked like someone have been eating them on the way here and I was left with hand full of chips worth £3. Will avoid order from them again.
Fantastic wraps -- by far the best in the area. Everything is made completely fresh. The veggie wrap is particularly good -- they actually cook all the vegetables on the grill in front of you, including a whole capsicum and whole eggplant. The staff is also very nice.
I live (literally) around the corner and have been many times. Great Turkish food, always very tasty. Salads are fresh and zingy, the meat is meaty, portions are generous. The mixed grill is without a doubt the most food you can purchase for £25 in a restaurant.
A delicious and substantial meal. Lovely service and nice atmosphere (although mostly empty on a Tuesday evening). I really recommend! Underrated for sitting in, I think it’s mostly

If you are look for a place to eat great quality, you are. I just in love! This is the best place ever in London to eat amazing wrap and hand made sweet potatoes The Red wine is as well a great test. Thanks a lot Dom’s Place, you’re my favorite place. …
Went here yesterday for a wrap to takeaway. It was very tasty and the salad set it off perfectly. Will be back to sit in and try a plate of food. The guy taking the orders was very friendly and welcoming. Good price for a freshly cooked wrap stuffed full.
Quite disappointed they have inflated the price of each meal by £2+ each. Not worth ordering online now as it's not worth it combined with a delivery charge. Used to be good food at a fair cost, like every where else, they seem to be getting greedy.
Not recommended for takeaway. £20 for a chicken wrap, falafel wrap and chips to take away. Chips were greasy and stale, wraps also stale. Surprised with the quality given the otherwise positive reviews on here - clearly more of a dine in place
Doms place came to us at the very moment we realised we NEEDED falafel. We went in and Dom was charming and let us eat in despite the late hour. Private chilli and garlic dip per person. Lovely toilet facilities just twist and screw. Love.
Really nice vibe to the place. Lovely food. High quality. A nice touch of heat to the chilli sauce. Reasonably priced. Clapton needs more lunch spots like this!

Went in last night and ordered take out, paid 15 quid and received a totally different order that couldn't have been further from what I had asked for - I had repeated a few times my order. It wasn't even busy. Bit of a joke really.
Sunday night red wine and a bifta may have caused me to say I wanted to frame the mixed chicken lamb kebab and salad and halloumi with rice plus we got the aubergine thing. The combo was out of this world. Salivating salvation.
Contemporary/Trendy Turkish food. Great for Clapton, but you can get more authentic 10 minutes down the road in Stoke Newington/Dalston for cheaper. Would recommend regardless as the staff are much friendlier than most places.
Amazing food! highly recommend this place, been going there for years since i live right next to them and they have never dissapointed me.

I've sat in and had takeaway from this cafe with much success. The menu is simple and more limited than other local mangals but the food is always good, fresh and tasty. A few more options / sides would be welcomed
Fabulous. I've ordered from here 7+ times in the past few months! The smokey aubergine, hummus and halloumi plates are unreal, I'm told the chicken is amazing, and the slightly-flavoured rice is a delicious touch.
Popped in for a quick wrap and it was absolute perfection! The option to pick thin or thick bread is something I have never seen anywhere and the chilli & garlic sauce was amazing. Will definitely be going back!
Compared to the bountiful options of authentic Turkish restaurants in Hackney this place is the embodiment of gentrification. Shabby chic, overpriced, small portions and worst of all they skimp on the salad!
Went for lunch and had a hamburger which was made from minced lamb. It was huge and I loved the pickle and sauce in it. Couldn't finish it but it satisfied my meat craving after a few days of vegan food :)
The best falafel wrap I’ve ever had by far. Highly recommend this place. Very welcoming friendly staff took good care of me. Great vibes and fantastic food couldn’t ask for more. Will be back very soon!
The vegan kebab is the best I’ve ever tasted! And the hand cut chips are divine!

Extremely slow service; came late on a Thursday night, and waited 20 minutes to take a wrap to go. The falafel and hummus wrap was alright, but spent the next 24 hours with low grade food poisoning.
Such a shame, used to loveee this place and get it at least once a week, but its just lost its pazzaz and flavour in the last year! The chicken is always great, but everything else just a bit bland
Went here on a Saturday evening. Very frustrating. We waited hours for our food while they consistently sent out deliveroos and Uber eats. Very happy to let customers in the restaurant wait hours.
Food and portions good. Sadly doesn't have a shine on green lanes turkish. Forgot some of our order, were really nice about covering it and doubled the portion to apologize. Nice staff for sure.
This place is great, the food is lovely, the staff are super friendly and it's reasonably priced. I'd definitely eat here again. The branding though, it's a little half hearted / template hip.
I had the lamb wrap at 11 quid when only 1 year ago it was 9 quid. And the wrap was so small. Still hungry... its very tasty but way too expensive for a wrap, no wonder why it's always empty.
Had the falafel wrap, really fresh and delicious and expertly rolled so it didn’t fall apart but there was the perfect balance of all of the elements in every bite

Good kebab, simple menu that offers many possible combinations, fair prices and decent selection of drinks. I rate this in my top 2 kebab places. Definitely gives Mangal a run for its money!

Best Turkish food in Clapton I’ve had, the lamb is great! I always get the lamb ribs with chips and I love it. I would recommend to anyone visiting Hackney!
Food Clapton Gem, tasky kebabs and sandwichs for around 8-10£. Didn't test the dessert yet, but the meat inside sandwich is great. I recommend kofte lamb
Food here is great! Good portion sizes. I had the hummus to start and it was fresh with warm bread. The mixed kebab was so meaty and tasted great!
Used to be good, ordered from here for years. Unfortunately it’s really gone down hill, nothing like it used to be. Don’t recommend anymore …
Great wraps! The staff was very nice too. We came with our two children and they got free lollies and fruit juice on top of the food we ordered.
Regularly come here for the best falafel wrap in London. £6 lunch deal. Very friendly staff

Loved the chicken wings and chips last time had to go back again and get some more Staff are friendly and make you feel very welcome …
Food was great but for £9 the wrap was quite small and cold on delivery. Would recomend but I thinks it's probably better to eat in.
Doms is a local institution! Delicious, fresh and perfectly spiced wraps. Support this family run shop you won’t regret it …
Amazing food and extravagant hospitality- the owner was extremely friendly- and the energy walking into that shop is unmatched!
Best wraps in East London! Cool vibe, loved hearing about the heritage of the place from Dom. Great food, great service.
Wonderful experience. Friendly staff, nice atmosphere and lovely food. Couldn't ask for any better. Will be back soon!!
The wraps here are great! There are sometimes lunch deals too so worth the money. Polite staff and vintage decoration.
Dom's is a fab late night spot for a quality kebab. I've been visiting for years and it's consistently good and tasty!
Love this place, great wraps, nice range of salads. Plate dishes are real value and never disappoint with flavour.
This is my favourite place in East London. Great people and good food. What else could you ask for!
tasty wraps available that relatively healthy too. The sweet potato fries are something else!
£8 for a huge lamb shish wrap with two beautiful sauces. Clapton, you're a lucky bunch!
