Is the Dollar Tree staff aware that if someone has a medical exemption you cannot harass that person or require proof of their condition. The last time I was in there, my mask was just slightly below the tip of my nose and the cashier asked me to pull it up. I said that I have a medical exemption, but I wear the mask to make others feel more comfortable. (I was almost going to pull out my rescue inhalers from my purse, but decided against it as I know it´s against the law for the store to ask for proof. Someone standing in line had the gall to chime in and say, ¨I believe he asked you to pull up your mask. Just do it. ¨ I told him the same thing I told the cashier: I have an exemption and you´re not allowed to hassle someone about it. At that point, both he and a woman standing behind him started telling me off and didn´t stop yelling at me till I was out the door. The cashier should have stepped in (since he started the whole thing and rolled his eyes when I said I had an exemption) but never told them to please stay out of it. I could have had your store fined for that under the ¨Reopening Ontario Act.¨ Do better next time and follow the law like you´re supposed to. I realize this whole situation is frustrating for everyone involved, but you are NOT allowed to force anyone to wear a mask, nor ask for proof of their exemption. And I´ll remind you that even though I´m not required to wear one, I do it to avoid causing problems, but if I need to pull it down for a few seconds to breathe better, you have no right allowing other customers to yell at me.
I made a trip to Dollar tree last night, December 8th. I went in and purchased a decent amount of things. When I went to check out, I was greeted very rudely by an employee by the name of Alex. He was very monotoned and did not seem like he wanted to be at work AT ALL. I don't know about you, but if you go to a establishment and pay for items that you are buying, which in fact pay the employees pay cheque, you would hope to be treated with respect. If the head person(s) of Dollar tree are reading this, I would highly recommend someone speaking to this employee at the Waterdown location on Dundas st. about his attitude before he upsets another innocent shopper. I believe in second chances, I hope to revisit in the future, possibly, and I really do hope for better customer service next time. Please and thank you. From: A really unimpressed customer.
I shop at this location regularly. The full-time staff person is consistently moody and sullen. Today, I entered the store to sharp commands to retreat, stand back, wait for orders. Covid protocols vary across retail settings. There was nothing posted to let customers know not to enter the store until indicated, to stand back beyond 6 feet or to be treated so poorly. Another customer agreed that her behaviour was unacceptable. We are all stressed right now and trying to find some balance in an unsettled world. There are lots of ways to proactively greet these changes in any retail setting. This location needs to step up wrt customer service and communication. In addition, I was forced to use a perfumed hand sanitizer... I have major allergies to scents. I have had a headache for 6 hours plus sneezing and coughing.
Please clearly mark which items are not for sale during the state of emergency. With some sections blocked by boxes and vague signs above items (that don't say "if this sign is here, you can't buy it) it's very confusing. I ended up just leaving my items at the cash tonight after having been the only customer in the store for 15 minutes and not being told until checkout that the things i was loading up on were not for sale. A little "just so you know" while i was shopping would have been a big help vs the "oh you can't buy most of that stuff because it's non-essential" that i got at the register. i can follow rules when i know what they are.
Came in for bread 11:37am Sunday may 2nd. Floor manager? (she was dressed differently, and walked into the office right after)... Had mask around just one ear.... Let out two really wet sounding coughs.... Into her hand..... And then went and opened her office door and went inside. I put the bread back and left. It's far too deep into this pandemic to be making these kinds of errors in front of customers. I feel for the staff. Please stay safe... You were all wearing your masks properly except for her. How can I return after seeing that? It's scary.
I had to make a quick stop to pick up a couple of gift bags. I have never been in this location before and I was pleasantly surprised. I stopped in at 8:30 pm and took a quick trip through the card and gift bag sections. There were courteous 20 and 15 minute announcements. I didn't feel hurried but reminded of the time. The store was very neat and clean. The 2 girls working where extremely polite, pleasant and helpful right to the last customer in & out the door. No one felt rushed, but valued as a customer.
As all Dollar stores are, everything there is not the best quality, and not the best durable, but unlike other stores this store has a wide variety of objects you can buy for basically $1.25. The store itself is very messy but the customer service is fine. I would recommend if you usually go to dollar stores for your things, but otherwise try and find another place that has more durable things compared to here.
About to pay and lineup, only one cashier opened, 10 mins later another one opened, still had to wait so long because she was helping other cashier who had problem, when became my turned she said she can't cash out because hundred dollars bill. Which is ridiculous, I wasted all my time to lineup and ended up couldn't pay with bill. The worst dollars tree ever I went and wasted my times
Good products and a fair price . The staff is not so friendly . I came in today at around 10: 30 on Sunday and was not greeted at all from the older lady at the cash . She kept rolling her eyes at me and giving me horrible looks . If you don’t like your job your better of to find a new one then to offer poor service for a company . I hope this finds its way to managment.
Despite having a good variety of things, the stuff is extremely rude, unfriendly & unhelpful! The man working there literally gave me a "look" and wasn't happy with my choices at the cash! I had my newborn with me and he almost told me to get out because I took one minute longer! This is wrong. Won't be back, 100%. These people try to ruin your day as much as they can.
Called the store at 9:15 am wanting to inquire about Shasta Cola, the sweet nectar of the Gods. An employee picked up the phone with a friendly attitude. She was very helpful, informing me that the store carries both cans AND bottles. Never have I been more satisfied with service from any store in my life. 10/10, I recommend that everyone visits this store.
Boxes everywhere made this place a terrible tripping hazard. After navigating the store for a couple of minutes to find what I needed, i waited at the cash register for someone to help me. Took the two employees who were playing with balloons several minutes to actually check me out.
I find so many great things at this store, and prices are better than Dollarama. While Dollarama is getting pricey, they still have different things from Dollar Tree. That being said, Dollar Tree has amazing items that are either different from the other store or cheaper in price .
This always my first stop when looking for dollar store items. I visit several times a week for the great selection of items and super pleasant staff! Love this store!
The store itself is nothing fancy but one of the workers there by the name of Jessie is an absolute doll! Such amazing customer service, very sweet young lady.
Lip Oil - May contain Helvetica, but at least it's not Times New Roman. Still, the rest of the place has a pretty good selection of fonts.
Great party supplies, reasonable prices for balloons, lots of stuff for $1.25. Friendly, helpful staff, clean well stocked store.
Decent sized store, had exactly what we had been looking for at several different locations. Glad to have finally found it here.
Great store. Well done with full shelfs of goodies! Organized. Clean. Valerie was very Professional and helpful. Thank you!:)
I wish they would add other dollar amount goods like Dollarama did. It really affects how often (rarely) I go there
Shasta cola and tiki punch are the best pop I've ever had in my life. I highly recommend it to all!!!
I had a good experience. Cashier and floor staff were pleasant and helpful. Would and will return.
Small store No complaints just not a lot of options in comparison to some other dollar trees
Nice staff, good selection of items and you can't go wrong with $1.25 or less on everything.
Lots of selection at a great price. cashier Emily was very nice and helpful.
Definitely not a Dollarama. Manager and senior staff are rude and unhelpful.
Good. A few items which are not generally found in other dollar tree stores
One of the cleaner and more organized Dollar Stores. Easy to find stuff.
Ok but not a great selection of candies and treats...some shelves empty
Staff make this place terrible to go. Dollarama treats you better.
One of the only dollar stores that things ate actually $1 not $1-4
Maybe it has many items but not what I was hoping for.
Bernard King and Laura mccusker aren't real critics
Good selection but a little cluttered and cramped
Many great items. Clean and well organized.
Awesome inventory! Always a clean store :)
Not quite what I needed but good enough
Perfect mix between price and quality
Very cheap. Lots of good products.
