I don't know where to start about poor standards of this GP service and care in general and lack of care for eldery and young children. Since we moved into area December 2021 we experienced several problems with care provided actually to be fair no care provided at all. My mother who is 71 years old with diabetes got ignored for good 5 weeks with her back of heel problems and we ended up paying for prived doctors and going to A&E to find out that few days after she would be in sepsis following with serious operation. Several back and forth calls to try to get antybiotics for heel infection now for her ongoing treatment and lack of care from receptionists also from the doctor. Last time waited 7 working days and numerous calls to get that prescribed and today again after two calls explaining few times before she can't take that particular medicine that we are forced to take 3rd time in a row makes her really poorly doctor passed info to receptionists to stop medication as we already did but the whole point is to prescribe e different one just rather than expecting me to call everyday and explain over and over what is the problem and urgency of it. In a process of looking a new GP!!!

Where do I start this is my parents doctor’s my dad is 84 my mum is 82 they have been with this surgery for some time. It comes with age that they don’t like a change but enough is enough, my mum has been in & out of hospital for the last 3/4 years as I won’t go into detail with what is wrong with her but let’s just says very ill. On Wednesday 15th June 2022 my mum was rushed into hospital with sepsis yet again she was that bad that she didn’t even know who we were. Yet still my mum is only offered a phone call rather than to be seen. My poor dad has seen this too many times. No help what so ever the receptionist are RUDE & NO HELP I called them to ask to talk to the doctor today the 21st June & shock, THE DOCTOR is FULLY BOOKED instead I was told to call back later at 4pm for an emergency call . Shocking & disgusting. I’m now in the process of changing there doctors now. They have No people skills or understanding of the elderly or their vulnerability. If I could give less than one star I would.

The office staff and nurses at Straight Road Surgery are the best in Havering without a doubt. It’s almost worth being sick so they can look after you! They are efficient, friendly and a delight to interact with. Nothing is too much trouble for them. Unfortunately, the same can not be said about the doctors. Prasad has an appalling lack of empathy and understanding and should not be practicing medicine. You are regarded as some kind of foul smell that has assailed his nostrils. De is of a similar disposition and is reluctant to examine patients face to face, preferring to diagnose over the phone, as if that could ever be sufficient. They give the impression that they are on some crusade to save the NHS single-handed and do little to conceal their arrogance and contempt and for their patients. Staff 10 Doctors 0

I had an appointment with Dr Prasad on 08/12/2020 at 5:40 after waiting for about 2 weeks. I explained my problems in details. He advised literally nothing and seems he does not have any sense about my issues and was taking like a drunk person, even he does not know what he is saying!!!!. I immediately called the Surgery and complained against him. The receptionist sent me a text with email address and asked to complain to the manager. Furthermore, Dr Prasad disconnect the telephone line without giving medications or telling next steps or saying anything. I was really really shocked and surprised The worst Experience ever!!!!!! Definitely I will change the Doctor as government is paying them for me, so who will take such worst service for money !!!!!!

Rude receptionist and only one doctor that doesn’t work, or when she does really doesn’t care about the patients needs. Three people now misdiagnosed and no care in the world. This is our health and you should be ashamed and disgusted. Even for a baby they have no respect or care, it’s ‘go to ane’. How do the dr’s and receptions sleep at night. A receptionist just said she doesn’t sit in the doctor room, so how will she know how long she’ll be? Nearly over a hour late and we wasn’t even asking rudely. Update appt was at 10.20am ended up waiting until 12.50. Disgusting attitude how do they get away with it? Should be assessed and monitored, schools get ofsted and I think health is much more important!! Should be no stars.

Hi . For information Dr Prasad has retired so the line up has changed . Receptionist would love to give everyone that needs one a convenient appointment but are limited by what is available . Telephone consultation is the default with face to face review if indicated . If you tell the receptionist the problem there is a chance we will put you straight to face to face if it is a problem that needs seen / felt / you are known to be deaf and cannot hear on the phone etc . This way our waiting room does not get overcrowded and you are less likely to catch something additional . Since 2022 it has been a choice of telephone or face to face whichever is appropriate for the problem and the patient

This is my G.P for more then 8 years. I don't go often to check my health but when I go and Dr Prasad is on duty he not only never help me but he always made me feel very unwelcome and he is very rude as well. 2 years ago he mix up my parents prescription and he prescribe my mum a medince from my dad list and was very seriously affected. Yesterday at 9 am I went there to ask the receptionist lady ( I went with a letter from Harold Wood policlinic where the doctor from there ask my G.P to give me time off certificate for 4 days) and he refuse to give me. Did anyone else had any bad expreience with Doctor Prasad?? About Dr Gupta I can say exactly the opposite , she is kind and helpful.

An absolute joke and utterly incompetent staff. 2 weeks ago I booked an appointment this morning face to face at 9am. This morning I arrived to my appointment and was told it's actually tomorrow and a telephone consult. I cannot do this as I am working and would never agreed to this appointment. When I asked if I could be seen this morning I was turned away as they 'have nothing' yet the waiting room was completely empty at 9am. I was offered another appointment for Thursday and a telephone consult after telling them three times or more I want to be seen face to face. An absolute joke

Unfit and unprofessional receptionists who do not care for their patients as you can see from all their terrible reviews. We called in at 8AM on the dot for a emergency appointment in critical condition, 7th in Que where JACKIE and CAROL told us to go elsewhere after half hour wait, but they are the ones who should go elsewhere for a job because they are too lazy to do their own, insisting there is no space for an appointment, but we contacted A&E who contacted the surgeon who fit us in the same day a few hours later. Anyone else with the same problem call 111 and report them

Worse worse worse GP Utter rubbish Receptionist Linda and other lady in the afternoon, ridiculous, ruthless, and said everytime they have no appointments available within tge 2 weeks time . Even its gone worse doctor cant do nothing parasitamol is only the medication even is the serious cure , docotor do not recommend to hospital or further treatment absolutely Rubbish , please avoid to register this gp you and your family.

The worst gp I have ever experienced. No help at all, all receptionists rude,loud, sarcastic and lazy I do not normally get in the point to post publicly a review, but honestly all of these ladies in there should just stay home as they absolutely hate their job! Is there anybody reviewing them? You should consider taking a general feedback for the services you provide!

Every time I need to be seen by the doctor their Is never an appointment even when being told by a doctor I need to be seen. Shocking how iv also been told they do it on a day to day first come first appointment schule daily today i was on the phone for 46 mins to be told like others times, they have none left even when they know it serious matters to be discussed.

Very Bad Experience with them. They are not helping me .when I want to See my Gp Doctor I ring them and they told me go to the hospital we don't have booking for not today not tomorrow not coming week not for the whole month.Disgusting. always they have an excuse for not giving you appointment. NHS has to take action against them . Thay are not helping people. ???

Disgusting service and attitude. Happy to leave a newborn baby waiting over an hour in a carseat every appointment, seeing other patients that have walked in over 30 minutes later, before you. But have the cheek to say doctor won't be long, when if you're a few minutes late, they act like it's the end of the world

Absolutely terrible! I was supposed to get a prescription prescribed by dr Gupta for testosterone pump and she completely refused to prescribe it as she wasn’t happy to monitor me every 8 weeks! No doctor should refuse to prescribe a patient any sort of medication!

Dr Prasad is no help at all, my dad has stomach cancer and his stomach been removed 5 yo, I am having lately bad stomach pains and nothing over the counter been helping, Doctor prescribed me over the phone same stuff as I tried already no scan etc still in pain

I have been a patient of Straight Rd surgery for over 20 years. The staff have always been friendly and helpful. Dr Gupta is excellent. The practice nurse, sister and office staff are caring and professional.

Absolute joke, been waiting on a referral for surgery for ages and called them about it - not one of them had a clue. Told to call back either later on or the next day, pretty much just forgotten about !

I have been at this surgery for about 18 months now, not had to see a doctor yet but otherwise they are way better than North Street Medical Care, had no end of problems with them.

Dr Gupta is knowledgeable and has a pleasant manner. All the office staff are friendly and welcoming. Prasad less so. Comes across like he's on a mission to save the NHS money.

Morning staff not very helpful friendly doctor asked to see me in 2 weeks time asked receptionist if I could book appointment was told I would need to phone up for appointments

the reception lady is very rude and racist. She declined my registration form yet she clearly demonstrated that she did not know her job.

Just the worst doctors. It’s time someone else takes over from this place. It needs to get up to scratch.
