Danson is the premier park in Bexley. Lovely setting with a lake, Georgian mansion that house's the Registry office for the borough and the extremely popular Fleur de tea, tea rooms. The Boathouse and the Danson Stables pub are also located in the park. The Boat House is popular wedding venue, and a good choice if marrying in the Registry office. We attended my son's wedding there a few weeks ago, a nice setting with a terrace overlooking the park. I have to add the food was superb. Best I've ever had at function catering for so many at once; and not just my opinion, everyone was saying the same. Staff friendly and professional. Definitely recommend checking out if you're planning a wedding or other function. Park also has a good children's playground, tennis courts, fishing permitted, ornamental gardens and is dog friendly. Paid parking during summer months.

Love danson park. Something for everyone! You have the lake to look at and can walk around. The Ducks to see, massive fields to play on, play park for the children, pub is also nice. Can easily get around in a Buggy and wheelchair and stay on the paths away from the grass and mud. Also has two or more sets of Toilets. They do have a Car park but have to pay in the summer months! Parking on the main road or surrounding streets is easy to do. We are lucky that we call Danson Park our local park. As we live a five minute walk. My Children love it and it's so big and a beautiful park. Also has tea and Coffe huts. Which is great. Would recommend Danson Park to everyone.

Love this park it's my local and quite a regular little walk for me I must admit. I love the boathouse albeit a little on the pricey side but thats to be expected, cafe is handy too, restaurant and bar onsite which is also a lovely touch, I often go to events in Danson Park too which I've always felt safe and had good vibes. Beautiful lake and scenery especially on a sunny day. Water sports in there too! Lovely walks and flower and rock garden, such a relaxing place if you want to gather your thoughts, I highly recommend

Nice place and very accommodating to dogs.. however the food was just ok. The roast dinner was OK but no really hot. It was just warm. For dessert I tried the triple mini dessert (fudge brownie. Eton mess & cheesecake) the brownie would have been better warm and the Eton mess wasn't. It was a scoop of ice cream with a few bits of meringue on the top with a splash of syrup. The cheese cake was ok.

It's between 4.5 to 5*. I am truly short of words describing it. It's beyond my expectations. Great contribution and efforts by the members of Danson park team.
Playground
Amenities and arrangements for kids are commendable. Great Thanks to all the members who tirelessly strive to provide such facilities to the people of UK.
Restrooms
All good and clean

Great place to picnic or go for a boat outing, lovely place to visit for a tour of Danson House or walk around the grounds and the rose garden which is also a great place for photographers to bring their camera along to. We also visited here for this year's fireworks display on 6th November which was easily one of the best displays we’ve seen in years.

Be prepared to pay car parking from 1st April till I think 1st September- £3.50 per car all day! Rest of the year is free - shame as can be a nightmare trying to park on the road outside which is free. Also do not receive any extra perks or benefits during this time still just a park to visit ‍♀️ …

Very Nice and a big park with a lot of parking. Kids loved the whole park. Food stalls near Danson House had a lot of Christmas options. Got Red Velevet cake slice and it was very delicious. Got 5 dosa from India Aroma stall and it was super delicious.

  • Greta Creates

What a lovely park! So many different areas; from tennis courts, lake, outdoor exercise machines, splash ponds to flower gardens. Even fishing allowed on the south side of the lake. Remember to bring some seeds for the ducks/ geese / swans... :)

  • Angela West

What's not to love about this place. Really beautiful gardens and boating lake. A decent playground for children of all ages which includes a water feature. Easily accessible by bus routes and car and ample parking on site or on nearby roads.

  • Giselle Naudi

Danson Park really us beautiful. It is somewhere you can lose a day with the kids of by yourself. There's plenty here from ducks, boating Lake, park, splash park and acres of land to walk. Get there early. Take a picnic and enjoy the day.

  • lisa foster

Great park. Play area very clean with a splash area and the usual swings, slides etc. Inexpensive cafe. Boating lake and woodland trails. Parking inside park free during the week, but payable parking at a weekend. Would highly recommend.

  • Manmita Rai

Loved the park although we had limited time. Parking during weekends and bank holiday costs £3 pounds. Weekdays are free entry. It was hot sunny day but we loved the breeze and the greenery, old big trees and the lake is amazing...

  • Ian

Just the entrance? Or can I rate all of it? Great entrance. Park is good too. Although the ice cream van charging £5.50 (yes, you read that right five pounds and fifty English pence) for a '99 is just vile.

  • James Bates

Had Luna Cinema here on Wednesday night and was very good. A great time was had by everyone they would have to do this again sometime. And danson Park and house is very good. I would recommend to anyone.

  • Terry Pike

Wonderful park to stroll around and enjoy the lake and surrounding area. Loads of waterfowl to see and other wildlife chasing around. Paths are good and easy for wheelchair users. Well worth a visit.

  • Ryszard Ła

Before entering, you had to download the application to your phone and log in. the price shown in the media was different from the price in the app. It was the worst fireworks display in 6 or 7 years
