SUMMARY: Daisywagon had my car for a few weeks, caused a fire in the motor, did not disclose any information about the fire, tried to tell me the only option was a $3000+ engine rebuild (in addition to the $1800 of "work" they had already done), and later lied when I confronted them about the fire. I fixed it myself in ~60 hours by cleaning the valves, and fixing the wires they melted, and replacing all the parts they damaged. Also, I get the impression a lot of these reviews are fake. The wording on a lot of them are just too similar to be written by different people. Daisywagon had my car for 3 weeks, completely misdiagnosed every problem - after fixing some ground wires they said it ran fine but wanted to fix an oil leak that damaged my old alternator, so I went with it. Then a week later they discovered a fuel leak, and another week later literally right as they're about to put in the fuel rail to fix the fuel leak they tell me one cylinder has no compression and I'll need to rebuild my motor. Any decent mechanic would do a compression test when a car is brought in with the problem of idling poorly and stalling. Note that they didn't even discover the fuel leak until almost a week and a half after having the car, despite the VERY strong smell of gasoline noticeable from the moment the engine was started. Additionally, I have a phone call recorded of Joel casually suggesting I light my car on fire and commit insurance fraud when he broke the news to me about the fuel leak. Later I realized this was probably the time the fire happened, and I was stalled for another week or two until I was fed up with them. Sure, they admitted it was their mistake in not diagnosing properly and didn't charge anything for whatever small amount of work they did, but only to cover their asses (explained below). The next mechanic I bring it to says there was obviously a fire in the motor, and all 8 of the spark plugs I put in *immediately* before towing my car to daisy wagon were completely burnt. Fuel injector wires melted, fuel injectors melted, and several other wires in the engine wiring harness were melted so badly the copper was exposed and shorting the whole electrical system. Daisywagon claims there was no indication of any fire when they had it. Since I knew there was a fuel leak, I towed it to the second mechanic and it was never operated until the second mechanic rolled it into their garage and inspected it. I took the car home myself, removed the intake manifold, repaired all the melted wires and clips, cleaned all the debris off the valves with $10 spray cleaner (the valves were caked with so much debris that they could not seal, and it was obviously the cause of the cylinder not having any compression), tested all of the wires, replaced the brand new (but now damaged) spark plugs, put it back together, and my car now runs fine after 60+ hours of work repairing the damage Daisywagon caused from the fire. I'm not the type to sue someone, but after all the work I missed because I had to do the repairs myself and the expenses I incurred to replace the parts Daisywagon damaged, I'm taking them to small claims court. The invoice I received from them was for $1800, which includes things like "hose: $28.79; gasket: $84.18; Sealing ring: $15.06." Again, they did not charge me for this, but these prices are absolutely insane... no wonder everyone says "My invoice is always less than what they quoted me!" That's easy to do when you quote ridiculous prices. I'm sure they are a capable repair shop, I doubt they make their living by screwing everyone over, but when they saw a 20-something year old with a fully-loaded SUV they were going to do everything they could to squeeze every last penny out of me. If I didn't know the right things to say to call them on their bullshit, they probably would have tried to bill me the $1800. Not looking forward to small claims court... my entire experience with Daisywagon was a huge waste of my time and money.

Let me start by saying that the mechanics do fantastic work. I have no complaints about the work they've done on my car. However, I am deciding to share my experience with my car being broken into on their lot because over a year later I'm still saddened by the company's lack of compassion and how they treated me after it happened. They did not seem to care and admitted that cars get broken into often in their lot and that there wasn't really anything they could or would do about it. They are legally not liable which is their policy however, they did not even sweep the shattered glass out of my trunk. They also left it with the window smashed open in the rain so I asked them if they could please at least put some plastic over the window which they seemed annoyed by. I took my cars there for years. They know me well as a customer and after all these years they didn't even care. It honestly broke my heart because I'd loved that shop and the work they do. I started taking my cars elsewhere after the incident and they never reached out after that despite me having been a loyal customer. I used to own my own shop and I would've offered my customer a free car cleaning and discounted the bill and I would've done a follow up and checked in with the customer but I guess that's just me.

Over 100,000 miles and 10 years of trust and great service Recently, I had to go back to the Volvo dealership for a safety recall service (airbag replacement). What a contrast. The lack of organization, service and technical expertise at the dealership stands in stark contrast to the excellence I have become accustomed to at Daisywagen. It's well worth the drive from Bellevue. I'm approaching 250,000 miles on my Volvo, and it is still a pleasure to drive. I trust it to operate flawlessly when I take it deep into the Canadian Rockies and Eastern WA. That's huge to me. In addition to my S60 AWD, I recently started bringing in my Honda to Daisywagen. Interestingly, I'm actually saving money vs. going to the Honda Dealership - Daisywagen is only doing what is needed; no smoke and mirrors. I'm an engineer, not a mechanic, and I don't have time to dig into the details of how cars are build, failure modes etc. I need a partner that I can trust 1) won't do unnecessary work, 2) will do the work right, because their technicians are both highly trained and experienced. Keeping cars maintained is never "fun" for owners, but with Daisywagen as my partner, this is one less thing I have to worry about. Candace and her team are top notch!

I don't usually leave reviews however my recent experience with Daisy Wagon is worth taking the time. My Volvo 'DIM' (computer information module) recently went out, after calling my usual shop I was directed to the dealership indicating that they have to download software specifically for my car and the shop doesn't have the the capability of the repair. The Volvo dealership in Seattle quoted be ~$1700 for the repair, ouch. I started to call around, most indicated they could not make the repair others said they needed my car for 4 days and quoted ~$900-$1000. I connected with Joel who walked me through the process to essentially buy a refurbished part (*which has a lifetime warranty!) and that Daisywagen would install. After providing me step by step instructions I was able to order the part and brought in my car for about an hour to install the new DIM. All in spent ~$550. Thank you Daisywagen, you are officially my new 'shop'!

150K miles of trust! Wow, it occurred to me, picking my S60T today, that you guys have been servicing it for over 150K miles now. At 196K miles, it is still humming like it's brand new. Thank you!! And so much fun to drive :-)...What can I say? The DaisyWagen expertise, ethics and fun people make it a no brainer to bring my car from Bellevue to have it doctored by the pros! And, with Volvo's engineering and DaisyWagen's service, I can confidently look forward to another 200K miles on this vehicle. My only regret is not knowing you guys when I rolled my car off the lot back in 2004, but, when I found you, I had a baseline from "brand X service center" to compare you to and boy, coming to you guys has proven over and over to be a fantastic decision. Thanks A- team! Larry, Candice, Tony and all the great staff at DW!! -john

Totally pleased with the service I got here. I bought a volvo wagon that was over a decade old. I stopped in at Daisy wagon on a couple occasions, unannounced, and had my questions answered honestly, promptly, and without any hard sale. She ran great when I bought her but after two years of driving, I was worried about her performance. She was showing signs of aging. I took my volvo to Daisywagon for the 90,000mi tuneup. The services was thorough and my wagon is spritely, and sounds great. Any performance issues I had when I brought her in were gone after I got her back. My sincerest thanks for competent care of my volvo, courteous and professional service and a team who knows that good customer relations - not cutting corners - is the key to satisfied, return customers.

Larry and his team are the very best! They are responsive, thorough, honest, thoughtful, helpful, and friendly experts in all they do. They are in it for the long term--committed over decades to providing the very best possible service and always learning, improving. They have built a trusting relationship with me for my family's safety, caring for my car as if it were theirs. No skimping, no overdoing, they let me know just what the car needs now and in a few months, ask about my concerns and stay with it until they are resolved. I completely trust and respect the entire team at this family business--and they are super nice people! Daisywagen earns countless stars!!

  • Natalie Stephens

Thank goodness for Daisywagen! We have had our Volvo's serviced at Daisywagen for many many years and have always been satisfied. Our most recent experience included dropping our son's non-starting Volvo wagon off at their lot on a Sunday night with no appointment. After hours drop off is so easy, and Daisywagen responded the next morning and was able to replace the battery and corroded node (part required) within a day of drop off. Daisywagen is a responsive, professional and pragmatic auto repair facility. They understand not all repairs are affordable or reasonable on any given car and work with you to get what you do need done done quickly and well. Grateful!

  • Emily Oxenford

Recently had my second experience at Daisywagon. It was quick to schedule an appointment (less than 3 days out) for a transmission flush and oil change. Dropped off my car in the morning before they opened, and called around 10am to ask if the service could be completed before 3pm. They called me before noon to let me know they were done. More expensive than some other generic service station, but worth every penny because I am fully confident in the quality of the service and work. They came so highly recommended by other Volvo owners who have used them for years. I know I'll be back for anything else my 2005 S60 needs. Very friendly customer service as well.

  • Konstantin Gorshkov

I have been using Daisywagen for over 4 years for both routine maintenance and various fixes for a 2005 Volvo. This is a professional auto maintenance facility with several car ports. The staff and mechanics are responsible, accountable, knowledgeable, personable, and all-around good folks. All work is well explained, properly estimated and typed out on the invoices, broken down as expected into parts and labor. They also stand behind their work and are always fair, going above and beyond expectations. If you are looking for 'a good mechanic' to care for your auto, then I would recommend Daisywagen.

  • PHIL BURR

Daisywagwen Foreign Service has been servicing the Volvos I have owned for over 25 years. Recently my '98 V70 "headlamp out" indicator light told me I had a burned out bulb. I called to make an appointment to get it replaced. I was told to stop by at my convenience to get it changed. The next morning I showed up and within 30 minutes I was driving away with a new headlamp and a new parking light bulb installed. I was only charged the cost of the bulbs. At Daisywagen, you receive the best service at a reasonable price every time. The people who work there are always pleasant to work with.

  • Michelle B. Noelke

Everyone knows Daisywagen is the best shop in Seattle for Volvo repairs and maintenance. They are experienced, efficient, honest, and kind to boot. Great communication and service. I wouldn’t take my ‘91 Volvo 240 anywhere else. I feared my car would be totaled after the ignition was destroyed in an attempted theft but they were able to find a used part and perform a difficult repair at a low enough cost to still be covered by insurance. I have so much appreciation for this shop!

  • Carey Huffman

These are amazing people - from the mechanics to the front desk folks. You are treated with respect and warmth, a wonderful mixture not often seen these days. Their prices are more than fair and their work is outstanding. I first chose Daiseywagen 10 years ago because of their pricing, but I have stayed because of their people skills and because they have always done great work. Take your car (they service all makes and models - not just Volvos) here, you will thank me if you do.

  • Christopher Kibbey

I brought in my 2006 Volvo CX70 and they replaced all 5 cylinders, 2 starting coils, & a new battery. Working with my breaks during a hectic work day, Tony called me a handful of times throughout the day to update me on the repairs needed for my car. They worked with me to get me back into my car after hours and really showed me a kindness that I cannot appreciate enough. I will definitely be returning for any future work on my car and highly recommend them to anyone else.

  • Brian

This is the only place I take my Volvo to be serviced. The pricing seems fair to me (relative to other mechanics) and is cheaper than I've ever been quoted at a Volvo dealership. Their service is superb and I always feel like they're looking out for my car's and my own best interest. I've never been sold on something my car didn't need and they're always honest on how crucial certain fixes actually are. I will be going back here until the day my Volvo dies.

  • Eric Madis

Always great service from Daisywagen. I have had them do work on my old Volvo wagons over the years. The work has been excellent. They never do more than asked. They always look over the car and let you know what, if anything, is needed or what you need to be aware of. They often do little things (that take their time) to fix up your car for which they do not charge. They try to develop a relationship with, and the trust of, their customers.

  • Eric Madis

I have had Daisywagen do repairs and maintenance of all kinds on both of my older Volvo 240DL Wagons for years. They are consistently excellent, friendly and offer the best in service. Recently (in the past year) they even have been doing repairs and maintenance on my son's Saturn SL-2, again with the quality, fairness and competence for which they are known. I cannot recommend Daisywagen enough. They are nice people and great mechanics.

  • Jon Pederson

Amazing service. My "check engine" light came on, and the car went into "limp home mode" while heading to see my daughter in the hospital. BAD TIMING. I had never been here before, but Larry told me to come right in to diagnose the issue. Everything was explained and I was given recommended options/costs. They fixed my car on the spot, and in less than an hour I was on my way again. Definitely taking my car here in the future.

  • Chuck Little

Love this place! Had a piece of trim that got screwed up from the recent snow and called them up to see if was something they could fix. They weren't sure so said to drop on by and they will check it out. They ordered up the parts to be delivered the next morning. After all was said and done car was back in action and they didn't even charge me for the labor. A mere $16 for the parts and I was good to go!

  • Sean Kliger

Had a fault light on our 2008 Volvo XC90 and the quote from the dealer was pretty high. I searched around a bit and found Daisywagen and was impressed from the initial call about the level of knowledge and customer service. The work was performed on time and for the price estimated and again, with such great customer service. We'll definitely be back to Daisywagen for any service needs on this vehicle.

  • D Platt

This is the best repair shop. Excellent communication, expert repairs and honest advice. On top of that their prices were extremely fair. The work took several weeks due to parts availability but Daisywagens put my car in their shop every night to keep it safe and warm. I could not ask for a better shop and their integrity is just what I am looking for in a mechanic. Cant rate them highly enough.

  • faxwell1

I have been trusting my cars to Daisywagen for years and among all the other reasons I have always found to keep going back, they are scrupulously honest about really needs to be repaired. An example is a recent notification on the dashboard that the brakes needed replacement immediately but Daisywagen discovered a faulty part that was cheaply and quickly replaced.

  • hjc#2

I had an incident with my power seat in my 2020 volvo and the mechanic Dave said this was a new design but he was willing to take it on. They fixed the seat and charged me 2 hours. Since I was there to help him remove the seat I know that he spent more than 2 hours probably closer to 4. I think the billing was very fair and the seat now works perfectly.

  • Kayleigh Capelle

Didn’t come here for a service actually, but I was next door getting my tabs renewed and locked my car keys inside the car. The ladies recommended I pop over next door and ask these guys for help, and they were so quick to help me! Got my car unlocked and took my stress away and saved me time. Appreciate it! Will definitely be back for service!

  • Hoss

On a road trip got a code about fuel rail pressure too high. Found Daisy on Google. Arrived at 4:30pm and asked Joel if he thought it was the sensor. He said most likely and had the part in stock. I asked if they could show me where it goes and the owner offered to put it in on the spot. Car runs perfect. BEST MECHANIC I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH.

  • Caitlin Morray

My family has been going here for 30 years and we've never had anything other than a five star experience. We've taken our Volvo in twice in the last couple of months and the service has been outstanding. The staff is friendly and efficient, their knowledge of Volvos is exceptional, and the prices are incredibly low. We love Daisywagen!

  • Cliff O'Malley

Brought my Volvo in for what I thought would be major repairs. Fixed in the same day, not nearly as expensive than I thought it would be (which they could have told me anything and I would have fixed it) and was a little cheaper than they quoted me. I look forward to bringing my car back in next time I need something done.

  • Sarah E.

Daisywagen has done all the service and repairs on my Volvo since the new car warranty expired in 2008. They have done a spectacular job keeping the car running smoothly all these years, from oil changes to major repairs, through 208,000 miles. Daisywagen is reliable, honest, fair and hardworking. Highly recommended.

  • itscolleenk

They always do a great job!! Very reliable and friendly customer service. I appreciate the text follow ups a few days after my appointment asking how the car is running, and reminders for my oil changes. This place has become my new go-to for everything that doesn’t require going to the Dealership.

  • Alex Gray

Love these guys. Deeply knowledgeable, honest, helpful, fast, best repair shop I have ever worked with. Not only have I not had any bad experiences, but every interaction I have seen them have with their other customers have been excellent as well. Just wish we could bring the Honda here as well.

  • AlyCatNat

I always get great service here, they haven't ever done anything to my car that messed it up ( unlike certain other Volvo specialists I could mention), the prices are reasonable for car repair and the staff is friendly and doesn't try to sell me stuff I don't need.

  • Eric Holman

Absolutely the best independent Volvo repair shop in the Seattle area. Fair prices and great people to work with. Convenient car rental next door if necessary, with special rates for their customers. It doesn't get any better that this!

  • R Nathanson

I received great information on what was done and future repair needs, with pricing. I need a new muffler and they recommended a shop (with phone number) right on my invoice. I was very impressed with this shop and will return again.

  • Ingrid B

Daisy Wagon is amazing, we love them. They treat your car like it’s part of the family and their goal is to keep them on the road in great working condition . They honor their warranty on their workmanship and parts. Thank you

They are the most honest to goodness people and let you drive your fixed car for weeks to make sure it did fix the problem, before you need to pay for it. Also very good value. Straight forward and honest.
