"Horrible! Horrible!! HORRIBLE!!! The people who run the place are very rude, racist, and by far the most disgraceful people in business I have ever seen"
"Hey everyone listen up!! After driving someone around looking for a place on the West End to do their laundry for 30 mins finally we decided to let google work for us and the first and # 1 place it provided us was Da Wash House!!!!! Yeah that's what I thought"
"The propieter Redd and the staff are very helpful in assisting with the needs of the clientele, whether it's which machine to use for the amount of clothes needed to be washed, or where to place the detergent, fabric softener, etc"
"I try to Support BLACK BUSINESS but several issues with this establishment"
"Terrible! Every time i wind up wanting to go there to wash its always a problem with something there and it smells bad in there like something is dead in there"
Horrible! Horrible!! HORRIBLE!!! The people who run the place are very rude, racist, and by far the most disgraceful people in business I have ever seen. I heard the short light-skinned man actually curse an elderly man out just because the man complained that one of the machines took his money and didn't work. He called this customer a liar, the nword over and over, and a lot of other very insulting names. The shorter dark-skinned lady who works there checked the video tape and it turned out that the customer was telling the truth. The elderly customer got his money back, but no apology or anything else. A few minutes later, the short dark-skinned lady that works there started yelling at a young lady who told her that one of the machines weren't working, saying things like "you ought'ta be glad I even let you come in here looking like trash." I mean, what on earth would possess these employees to be so hateful, unprofessional, and mean-spirited? Shame on them! I I was just there because, we haven't hooked up our new dryer yet. I'll never go back there; I know that much. I was so appalled by the whole incident. FOR THOSE WHO DO THE RIGHT THING: NEVER GO TO THIS PLACE, EVER!!!!
Hey everyone listen up!! After driving someone around looking for a place on the West End to do their laundry for 30 mins finally we decided to let google work for us and the first and # 1 place it provided us was Da Wash House!!!!! Yeah that's what I thought. ( what you're thinking) nevertheless we arrive walk in the Owner's come out introduced themselves very professional gave us history as to how and why they decided to open the business and keep it in the neighborhood from which they grew up in !!!!! Also assured us as we were there of our effortless comfortablitie the business is SUPER CLEAN, new and digital washers and dryers affordable as well .25 gives you 14 mins of dryer time SUPER DRYERS ......I must say if you're in the area go on by Da Wash House away from your House .......thanks for the great experience
The propieter Redd and the staff are very helpful in assisting with the needs of the clientele, whether it's which machine to use for the amount of clothes needed to be washed, or where to place the detergent, fabric softener, etc. There is a change machine that accepts twenties, tens, fives and ones. The machines are maintained well. You can do four loads at once in a single 4x washer for six dollars, or three loads for four dollars in the 3x machines. Large dryers for comforters, pillows, etc., are $1.75. Normal dryers are $1.00 for 30 minutes, enough to dry three loads at once, with $0.25 for each additional fifteen minutes, if necessary. Closing time is 7 pm, so come no later than 5 pm to allow plenty of time. Overall, a great place to wash, dry and fold clothes with plenty of tables for folding and chairs to sit and wait.
I try to Support BLACK BUSINESS but several issues with this establishment. They have only 3 laundry carts yet there is room for plenty more. He actually complained about me using 2 carts while i was the only customer.. He has very few tables to fold clothes and also complained about me using 2 tables at once also while i was the only customer. The tables are wrapped in old tarps and dont look clean. There is no place to sort dirty clothes prior to washing. He needs to place a notice letting customers know this instead of complaining about non posted policy. Not kid friendly at all complianed about my kids playing with each other . They were not acting wild he just seems to like to complain about everything he can. Way better coin wash about 5 minutes away. Will not be returning.
Terrible! Every time i wind up wanting to go there to wash its always a problem with something there and it smells bad in there like something is dead in there. The owner has a very very bad attitude and is always making complaints about something and only has a few carts for clothes to go into and has only 1 table in there for me to fold clothes on there I recommend for nobody else to go here you will have a bad experience there and i would never decide to go there ever again.
Clean, quiet, affordable and professional. I have been greeted by Daryl each time that i have been here and he is very polite and accommodating. The machines work great they really clean and dry the clothes very well. I recommend this laundromat. (Reading previous reviews .. I personally have never experienced racism or rude behaviour here neither from the staff or local people who are in the plaza)
The friendliness of the attendant absolutely cannot be beaten. I am utterly *in love* with the fact that this is a locally owned, black owned, woman owned establishment. Kudos to them for injecting hope, leadership, and dollars into a much needed community. The owners are sweet, friendly, encouraging, positive, patient, and absolute pillars of their community.
An experience like know other. We aim to please. We have been blessed to be able to provide this community with a new laundromat. It's been a long time coming but everyone is happy we are here and we are happy as well. We love the people and thank you for all of your support❤️
We live right next door to Day Wash House and find it so convenient and peaceful. The owner genuinely cares about this community and this business and provides a great service at a great price. I can't believe our luck with it's quality, price, and location!!
Please with a warm welcome. VERY CLEAN! Traveled about 12 miles to support black owned business, was not disappointed. Machines are new! Dryers are HOT. I saved about 15 dollars washing here than my normal laundromat. Decent pricing will come back again!!
We chose this laundromat over others in my google search because I could tell it was locally owned and that was 100% the right choice! Darrell, the owner greeted my husband and I as we walked in and showed us which washers worked best and
I am new to this area and I am skeptical about the places that I visit because I have seen a lot of drug activity and solicitation of different services. I researched different laundry mats for 30 minutes before I finally decided to try
Boss man Red is the nicest owner... Its always calm and peaceful inside his place and he keeps that energy... Great customer service and genuine vibes... 10 stars in my book
Don't like the fact that the personal dogs are in the restroom, but other than that.... It's convenient for the area and the owner keeps it professional
The guy who runs operations there is a peach. He help unload your car, hold the door, and answers any question. Very clean and all the machines work.
