They just want your money and double charged me for phone calls delivering the same message on the same day by the 2 counter girls. I opted to pay extra for main lawyer there, only to be strung along, asked for more money even though the last step I had paid for had yet to be done. Maybe 1 out of 2 phone calls out of 10 I would actually speak to my lawyer. Don't be fooled by the 'you have no need to worry' line from them. I wasted over 8000 without anything even going to court yet and finally got it settled through free mediation which I attended by myself. If you're a decent father and have every legal right to your child/children. Throw your money elsewhere, they're just hustlers. They tell you you're paying a lump sum for a particular necessary process. Instead it goes in a trust and gets chewed up fast in unneeded phone calls, paperwork the counter girls can't explain to me and and being double charged over the same message because there is no communication there

Amy Little was recommended to me by my partner's lawyer when my partner and I agreed to put a Financial Agreement (BFA) in place. Amy was lovely to work with. However, I was shocked with the final bill. When I talked to Amy about the ball park cost, she said that it was going to be around $1,000-$2,000 depending on the quality of the draft of the BFA. However, she did not mention that there is a Letter of Advice which costs $1,260 (excl. GST). The Letter of Advice in my view is pretty much done from the template that she has, however, she insisted that it was tailor made. In total, I paid over $4,100 for the BFA. Although she did not charge some of the email correspondence, I wonder how she could charge if the email was to ask me to bring my driver's license with me when signing the agreement. While the quality of Amy's work was good, I would like to alert everyone who is going to approach DA Family Lawyers to ask about the total costs including GST!

i was with them for nearly 1 year, they had a non qualified uni student doing my work, half of the time they did not show up to hearings in court, i was continually chasing them to try and find out what was happening and where we were at, they did nothing for nearly the whole time i was there, two day before the hearing they spoke to me for 10 minutes, then when i showed how unhappy i was with there lack of work and the fact they have done nothing for nearly 1 year, the then refused to continue my matter causing a further delay of around 9 months, can you afford to be treated like this, are your children worth someone that will represent you fairly, would you like someone who will actually do the work other than taking thousands of dollars, if so do not use these rip-off merchants there lazy take your money and do stuff all in return,

Both Lisa and Deborah have worked on my case that spanned over two years. I found their service to be honest, upfront and respectful. Deborah commissioned a month long surveillance of my home, me and my children, despite there being protection orders in place protecting me from my ex, her client. The report detailed my daily routines and habits and was 64 pages long. The report had the effect of stalking me and giving a photo journal of my movements to my abuser. I’ve lodged a complaint with the Legal Services Commission. Her actions have put me in danger and terrified my children.

I went here for mediation, what a waste of money. Deborah was a bully and didn't listen to a word I had to say. The way she spoke to my mother (Who is also a lawyer) was horrible and so disrespectful. She was all for the other side (which I will add, chose her to do the mediation). Never go here if you want a fair mediation. Speaking to other lawyers and they also have had horrible experiences with Deborah and her work ethic is clearly unjust.

I am so grateful DA Family Lawyers have been with me the whole way through this very trying past year. The professional and actual care for the family unit is remarkable.
