I have traveled to 49 states and 30+ countries and stayed at Marriott properties in many of these locations. This is the worst one I have ever stayed in. Pulled up to the front door to check in and unloaded a baby, stroller multiple roller bags, and baby requirements and went to use the outdoor handicap accessible elevator and it did not work, the call for help button rings but does not call to anyone. Carried everything up a dozen steep stairs to a locked front door requiring scan access. Waited with full arms for the concierge to finish helping someone and buzz us in. I asked the front desk staff about the outdoor elevator and he told me it has been broken for 3 years and they have been trying to get rid of it... no consideration for guests requiring assistance in this statement. There is no other ramp or elevator for handicap or stroller access on the front of the hotel which requires guests to climb stairs to get to the front desk. We spoke to the front desk staff before arrival and no one mentioned this. Our room reservation for adjoining rooms was booked with painstaking detail after talking to hotel staff and reservations. The hotel staff gave away the adjoining room, the entire reason we selected this property and this location, and said it was because the request for "adjoining room" from reservations didn't specify we wanted the two rooms we booked to adjoin TO EACH OTHER, so they gave us two rooms two floors apart.. and one of them with an adjoining door to a stranger's room..... Unlike many other major hotel chains, still no concierge lounge, restaurant, or bar available during the pandemic. No compensation with grab bags or anything in the mornings, but you can purchase junk food in the small sundries shop. Mask wearing is not enforced in the lobby. Coffee in lobby in the morning offers no decaf, which may be required for some guests with medical concerns. Phones in 4 rooms I stayed in all had the quick call buttons disabled (see photos), including ability to call the front desk, one of the rooms had no dial tone. Bar lock on inside of the door to the second set of rooms we stayed in was falling off (see photos). I almost fell out of my desk chair when I sat down because it was broken and left in the room this way (see photos). We went to wash laundry in the still advertised guest facility and the washers and dryers were removed. The wood valance box on the window was broken and the 1x12 board was sticking out and hanging off the wall with exposed nails and brads (see photos). The lamp shade was damaged (see photos). And the light over the fridge made a disturbing buzzing noise so I looked up to observe it has not been dusted in a decade and is likely a fire hazard (see photos). Needless to say, I turned it off. The mattresses were comfortable. I will never stay here again. Enter through the back of the hotel through the parking garage if you cannot navigate stairs or have a lot of luggage. Must always have key to enter building or buzz to front desk.

Do not stay here! This is by far the worst hotel I have stayed in, in over 10 years! First I called to confirm my reservation that day of my stay. I called and gave my reservation number and they said they could not find my reservation. So I did some looking in my email and found what I believe was the correct reservation number. I called back again and they asked for my name and before I could even give them the new number they replied with " ma'am we just talked to you we don't have a reservation. I said excuse me sir, I have a new reservation number. To which they replied "oh" and " oh looks like we had your name incorrect". I found it extremely rude to cut me off without even getting all information when I called the second time. We arrived at the hotel and it looked like it was going to be a great stay. The first valet guy was awesome and friendly. We walked into the lobby and were not even greeted by the guys working at the front desk, and there was no other guest checking in at the time. We got to our room and we we thought it was a little out dated but fine. The next day we left and went out for the day in Kanas City. We arrived back to our room at 4pm to our room uncleaned, no fresh towels. We thought maybe our room just got missed. We called the front desk and they said this hotel was an extended stay and that we had to request our room be cleaned. We were never told it was an extended stay nor did we know we had to request a room clean. Move to the next day before we left at the hotel for the day we stopped at the front desk and requested our room be cleaned. He wrote down our number and said he would out it on the list. Well we arrived back at the hotel from our day out and came back to our room not cleaned again. We ran into the "manager" as we were walking downstairs to talk to desk about our room not being cleaned and he said so sorry we will knock of 60 dollars from your bill. We said fine and headed back to the room. As we got back to the room we noticed we were out of toilet paper so we called the front desk for more and also more towels. We arrived to our room with towels and a HALF used roll of TP. Not even a new one wrapped in paper or anything. The valet was terrible. We used the app and requested our car each time and when we got down to the lobby our car was not there nor was the valet guys. We had to wait each time for someone to come out to the stand once they saw us standing there. If you do stay here, do not use the valet. I have called twice to speak to a manager and have had to leave a message. I am still waiting for a call back. KC has far better options.

Beautiful building in a great location. The breakfast buffet was good enough for the cost. Overall it was a pleasant, though not great, place to stay. Having plenty of cheap parking was a huge plus, though when it rained the two level garage had a waterfall in the middle of it, so that might some repair. Housekeeping seems like they could do better, they took stuff (towels and cups) the one day we were there, but did not replace them. I also could hear a guest complaining of an unprepared room after they checked in, and housekeeping was already gone for the day. On top of that they only had one person working on a Friday night. She was very overwhelmed, and I don't blame her. Also the industrial fan pointing at the ice machine on our floor was classy. The room overall was quite, but I think I could hear every time the people above us flushed the toilet. Maybe I am being picky, since this is only a Courtyard but the cheap construction and poor maintenance of rooms in these hotels is always apparent. Though I am just starting to associate that with this brand. I suppose that is to be expected for the cost of the rooms. There was water damage on the ceiling, a ruined view to the park due to horribly dirty windows, water damage in the bathroom, poorly cleaned tiles and floor, and the pull out table was missing a wheel. Also, with all the technology we have today why do hotel TV guide menus still move so slow that you just want to give up after awhile? Maybe it's to convince you to go explore the city. But hey, at least not paying for more or better staff and maintenance they can still afford to put up christmas lights.

Absolutely insane… we got back in after a long day, went to take showers, ice cold water. Called front desk around 10pm, asking for some information on the situation, and when guest could expect it to be fixed, front desk told us within the hour. Maintenance is working on it… we waited 2 hours, tried the water, still ice cold. Called front desk, a new person was there at this time and immediately told us that the problem would not be resolved until after noon the next day. I believe(along with 100 other guests) believe it’s insane for a hospitality company to not consider this issue an emergency. For them to say, “we’ll just fix it tomorrow afternoon,” is downright ridiculous. I am a Marriott Bonvoy member and I would never in my life expect this sort of poor service from one of these hotels. Very unfortunate that this hotel reacted this way and refused to provide guests with the necessary services. In the middle of the hot summer. There should have been a manager on duty actively providing alternatives for their guests, and maintenance actively working to resolve the issues. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone, due to its lack of care for their guests.

Stayed for two nights and was disappointed in a few things: 1 - plugs in the rooms are hard to find or in random places that don't allow me to charge my phone and lay in the bed while using it. I don't have a 20 foot cord to extend across the room. Instead I moved furniture around to find the plugs closeted to the areas I needed them. 2 - the main entrance is stairs. There was no one there to help you carry your luggage up the stairs. Instead, you can walk all the way around the ramp and then get to the main doors. 3 - lighting in the room was horrible. Room was spacious. The view of the back walkway was unimpressive. I did like that they probably had the original windows still in place. My room was teetering on the verge of being antique and it didn't feel like they fully tried to update the hotel while keeping the original vibe.

Do not expect this to be like a normal Courtyard Marriott. This is a refurbished old building that they call a Courtyard. It is nice, but there are a lot of odd things you get with old buildings. Our room was probably worse than most, even though it was a king suite. You could not take an elevator to our 1st floor room, and that meant carrying roller bags up and down 2 half flights of stairs, plus the set to get from parking lot into the building. Not impossible, but more than my family could manage. Worse yet (or great if you like loud white noise), our room was next to the outdoor cooling system, so every 29 minutes or so you heard a non-stop high-pressure flowing sound of what I assume was coolant flowing from the building to the chillers outside. It is turn up the tv-volume kind of loud. Nice staff, clean, and an excellent location, you are only 2-3 blocks from a Cheesecake Factory and a Jack Stack barbecue - both of which were excellent. $5.00 parking per stay (not per day, just for your entire stay) with unlimited in&out.

Staying with a friend who's on a business trip. Amenities are nice. Bathroom clean and well-decorated. Little fridge holds leftovers, there's a microwave, wardrobe, desk, couch that i think is a pullout bed. Our queen sized bed is comfortable. The reason I knocked a star off is how weirdly humid it is. We set the thermostat really low shortly after I arrived because the carpet was almost sticky with humidity. It cooled off, and it's still humid. There isn't a fan in the bathroom either, so that shower humidity doesn't dissipate. Not a bad room though. The lobby is decent, and we got Starbucks at their little bar-type area (it's only open till 11AM though, then it's alcohol I believe). I saw people out back in pool, sunbathing. Didn't look huge, but there were only 3 people. Out front has lots of plants and another area to sit and enjoy the sun. There's a parking lot in the back, it's slightly confusing to get to if you're driving in at night, but still doable. I'd probably stay here again. Maybe not in the humidity though.

We stayed here for a wedding in the area and the staff was super nice! They have free coffee in the morning, which is great but also little coffee makers, microwaves and refrigerators in the rooms. That was handy for leftovers for sure. It's within walking distance of lots of shops and restaurants but if you have business elsewhere you might need a rental car or a few Lyfts. The bed was really comfortable and the room was clean. My only complaint is that there was only one mirror in our room and it was in the bathroom. There was no floor length mirror so getting ready for a fancy event was a bit hard. But that might be because we ended up with a wheelchair accessible room so I'm not sure if they are all like that.

Update!!! While I was told checking out early due to circumstances would not be an issue and they wouldn't charge for the full reservation....They charged for the FULL reservation and never responded when I called Marriott about it, they said they would call me with a resolution but never heard from them again!! Still waiting to hear from my bank too this had been a nightmare!! The room was clean & comfortable. I booked for 4 nights, but due to my sister passing away the night I checked in, I checked out the next day. I explained the situation to the man at the desk & he said I would not be charged for the remaining nights. I was still charged & called the Marriott and they opened a "request." Never heard back, but the charges reversed only to reappear later that day. Still no word from the Marriott so now I'm having to go through my bank to get it fixed. Thanks for the sympathy and the additional charges Marriott!

Hotel is cute on outside and in lobby. Staff was very helpful and professional. Disappointed in the room. This is an older building and I totally understand that. When we got to the second floor and down the hallway there was wall paper cut in half and taped up on the wall exposing the inside of the walls.. when we opened the door there was some serious rub and every time we opened and closed it, it had a horrible screech sound. Once in the room we noticed one of the vents that either had mold or dirt all the way around it.. in the bathroom the toilet paper roll holder was so worn out it was clear enough to see the spring inside as all the silver it was supposed to be had rubbed off. Bed was comfortable. Overall just need to pay more attention to the cleaning details which give off the impression of not clean. Though the bed, couch, bathroom was clean. I just expected more for being one of the more expensive hotels in the area.

I’ve stayed at another Marriott very close by, but this one was my favorite. It was extremely quiet and peaceful. The staff couldn’t be more gracious and helpful. We arrived early and she gave us an upgrade without even asking because our other room wasn’t ready. The cleaning staff were very nice. The location was perfect. It is literally in the shopping plaza walking distance to everything. The maps online are deceiving. It is a big shopping district but it doesn’t take long to walk to all the places. There is a breakfast but we ate at nearby restaurants. They literally took 1 minute to walk to. No room service but we didn’t need it due to close proximity to everything. Most comfortable beds ever. We’re definitely staying here for the next Kansas City Chiefs playoff game. I think it’s a hidden gem. Best stay ever. I definitely recommend this place.

I am 100% dissatisfied that Room 521 at Courtyard by Marriott on the Crown Plaza was rented to me, let me reiterate this room should have ***NEVER*** been rented. I work very hard for my income. I came to Kansas City with my friend to enjoy an afternoon and evening here. Our room was great until 7 this morning when I went to the shower. There is NO SHOWER FUNCTIONING IN ROOM 521, furthermore the exhaust fan doesn't even clear the room. I cannot even believe the people who stayed here before us didn't complain or ask to be moved from this room because the shower does not work. Specifically the diverter does not close off the water to make it come out of the shower head. There is an incompetent dribble up about five streams that come out of the shower head. Absolutely 100% dissatisfied.

I love the quaintness of this hotel But will not stay here again. I recently stayed this week and I was horrified at the cleanliness of the hotel due to COVID-19,I figured the hotel would’ve done a better job cleaning. I did see someone constantly wiping down the front desk but the floors throughout the entire hotel were dirty, there was towels around the ice machine for the whole time I was there, there was old food in the hallway on my floor the whole time I was there. The trash was overflowing in the front and back. And not to mention it’s not safe with the amount of random people wandering in and out of the hotel if you’re worried about safety don’t stay here. I went out front last night to get something and there was homeless people all around. And you get charge parking whether you have a car or not

My family and I stayed on the 6th floor (room 619) of the hotel on the evening of May 28. We are frequent Marriott users so I paid for my room rental in Marriott points. The front desk staff was less than friendly upon check-in. When we got into our room, the toilet was dirty, there was lots of hair on the bathroom floor, several of the curtain hooks were unhooked, the tv remote did not work and the sink drained very slowly. This is one of our worst Marriott experiences in a long time. We expressed our concerns to the front desk clerk upon check-out. He was very friendly and agreed to refund our points (we will see). While this property is a fixture in the Plaza area, it clearly needs some significant maintenance, upkeep and staffing attention. We will look at other options the next time we are in KC!

It is a fine hotel. It’s a great location. The rooms are fine. The shower was very strong. Staff all accommodating. I would stay here again for the price/location. If you require handicap accessibility this is not the hotel for you imo. There is no convenient way in/out of the hotel. The ramp at the main entrance only takes you down one level of stairs not the second. It’s the weirdest thing. While we did not require accessibility we ended up helping a person in a wheelchair bc they were stuck with no where to go. They said it was not a good hotel for accessibility. The toilet required you to hold like 10 seconds to flush. We did have maintenance come up but it seems like they made it worse.

This is the worst experience at a Mariott I have ever had. I arrived late and my friends left me a key at the desk and asked for my name to be added to the reservation. No key was anywhere to be found and my name was not on the reservation. It is now 1 am and I cant get into the room, and I have to wake up in several hours. I finally get to the room and it is disgusting. It is not clean, the sheets provided for the pull out couch were not clean, and there was blood on the towels. The air was freezing, loud, and did not shut off. The next day the desk staff was rude and unhelpful. They had no interest in any of the guests that were in the lobby. I wouldn't recommend this particular property to anyone.

Decent hotel that once used to be an apartment bldg going way back so if there’s some historical significance to this building. I am guessing that the building is about 100 years old. Comfortable rooms although not very large but with the typical fair you would expect to see in a courtyard. Each has a small dorm size refrigerator microwave and coffee maker. My refrigerator unfortunately has a malfunction that freezes everything inside. The big plus here is that it is located within a 1 to 2 minute walking distance of a wide variety of restaurants such as the cheesecake factory, Chuys, cold stone creamery Jack Stack BBQ, Italian, Brazilian steakhouse as well as more upscale expensive restaurants. So you can visit a different restaurant every night and not have to drive anywhere.

Stayed here while in town for a business meeting. Check In was super simple. Very friendly staff. I didn't drive but my friend who did said parking was great. They have a parking garage and he was very relieved not to have to worry about his new car. Rooms were much bigger that I thought they would be. Room was spotless. The housekeeper was cleaning the room next to ours and I observed she was doing a really good job. Not just a quick wipe down. Nice having a fridge in the room. One thing I hate about travel is not sleeping in my bed. I love my bed and hotel beds usually end up being not very comfortable but I was surprised how comfortable the bed was. Hotel is within walking distance to the Plaza and that made it really nice. Will defiantly stay here again.

As someone who never complains, it takes a lot for me to write about a bad experience. I stayed two days, and had my car broken into twice. There is a large park across the street that is home to drug addicts. Apparently, they come over and smash and grab, both in broad daylight and the middle of the night. As for the room, it had a moldy smell. The morning after my first night, I called downstairs and asked for housekeeping to clean the room. They said no problem (apparently it's no problem because they never showed). Also, I'm a Titanium Elite Member with Marriott. Imagine how they treat a simple Gold Member. There are lots of other Marriott properties in the area, stay away from this one!

An historic building that's been updated and needs updated again. The AC alone was sadly inadequate, and my sinuses detected mold, as they closed up right away and stayed that way until check-out. The old windows are covered by cloudy plexiglass, which made our view of the park slightly opaque. The room we had was a suite complete with all the usual hotel amenities. The furnishings were worn though, and the king bed was very soft and lumpy. The breakfast buffet was flavorless powdered eggs and miniature biscuits, meat (no, thanks), aging bananas, dry cereal, juice and coffee for $15 each! The location is wonderful, the staff is wonderful and I hope Marriott re-invests in this BonVoy property.

Booked a room for fourth of July weekend here. They advertised having a pool, restaurant, Starbucks, and gym. Upon calling them and showing up they have all of these items closed. Called the booking.com, marriot front desk, and corporate and no one would offer partial compensation or a room upgrade. Wasted an hour on the phone and 0 help. Experience is awful dealing with stuff like this. Girlfriends only request was that I find a place with a pool so this dampened the mood for our trip. The room itself was clean and the bed was comfortable. The building and parking were decent. Location is amazing though.

Visiting from out of town for work and stayed three nights here. The hotel is very nice; from the outside it looks rustic, but the rooms are very modern and have nice look to them. The beds are very comfortable and the showers are awesome! The price wasn't too bad and area isn’t too bad; walking distance from a few restaurants on the Plaza. Parking is directly in the rear of the hotel, so you have to drive around the block from the front, but safe, well-lit parking garage. Overall, it’s a nice hotel and good service.

I wouldn't stay here again as they didn't give me the room I booked and the guy at the front desk was extremely unhelpful (basically didn't care and that I was out of luck) and didn't even try to offer a solution for our room being wrong. Plus, they only give you 2 free breakfast passes (employees at the bar/breakfast area were very nice and efficient) so doesn't cover everyone in the room. And they even charge for black coffee! Mattress was very uncomfortable and I have no good things to say about the sleeper sofa.

Due to COVID-19, there was no regular room services during our stay. But Carly was super friendly and welcoming. She made sure to bring in extra towels and anything we need for a comfortable stay. We stayed with the team for a big volleyball tournament, Carly tirelessly answered our questions, helped to set up meeting spaces, and responded to our many requests. The room and common areas were in great clean condition. The hotel itself is quiet and peaceful but very close to the plaza shopping, restaurants, parks, and art museum.

The location is great in that it’s very close to shopping and dining. Walkable to numerous spots, even a whole foods if you’re up for it. But the word my colleagues use to describe a place like this is ‘tired.’ It needs desperate updates. The curtains let so much light in my room it was hard to sleep. The fitness center was missing numerous weights. The pool was absolutely disgusting (see picture). They need some remodeling. On the plus side, the staff went out of their way multiple times to be friendly and accommodating. That was nice to see!

  • Marta G.

Great location, I guess You mainly pay for that. 700 dollars for two nights is a lot of money. I though there was a restaurant but I was informed it only served breakfast. Building is oldschool, rooms are small with windows that don't open. Beds and pillows are very comfortable. Bathrooms a bit outdated. Housekeeping doesn't speak English...i would not stay again. For that price we could have stayed somewhere nicer but a bit further.

Elevator tile reads, "pride of the plaza." Perhaps 20 years ago but definitely not the case today. First room smelled of marijuana and a large fake fingernail was found on the floor. Second room was better but the curtains were falling off the wall, the rolling chair back was loose / falling off, windows were dirty and a bit hard to see out of, and the desk had a layer of dust all over it. Staff seemed clueless and unable to adequately perform their job / duties. For a hotel on the plaza we were sorely disappointed and will not be back.

  • Lauri Pan

Stayed there for a 5 day business training and found it to be quiet, clean, and roomy. Staff seemed nice and acomodating. I think maybe the hotel was recently remodeled (but I don't really know) because the carpet and the furniture seems pretty new. The beds were comfy and my room was surprisingly big. I did not expect a small fridge and microwave in the room which was nice to have for my leftovers. It is walking distance to a few restaurants and stores. There is a well lit walking trail right in front of the hotel too. I'd come back.

  • Tina Wang

Good location and room was fine but slightly outdated. However, we were very disappointed with the level of customer service at the front desk. Wifi was not working and when we informed the front desk, the concierge proceeded to tell me to call their tech support line, wait on hold, and work to fix their wifi issues. We felt as guests, it should be the responsibility of the hotel to resolve this and not pushed for the guests to take on the burden.

Dated hotel with bad room designs I had 18 inches of room from the side of my bed to the wall. Small bathrooms and a wall that went halfway through a window. First they put me in a room next to the bar on the first floor which I could hear so I went and asked to be moved then they move me to the third-floor which the room was basically in the elevator lobby and then I went back and had them move me again they were accommodating but I will never book another room here again not worth the money.

This hotel is in an incredible little area, great park across the street to get some exercise and views of a great little city area. Tons of eating choices from nice restaurants. The hotel is almost 100 years old, but it is still very nice and rooms are great. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Bed was comfortable, pillows were fine. Whole place was super clean. They get you for parking as is usual when you stay near any downtown area. It’s only a few extra bucks for Valet, it’s worth it.

  • Nick Blake

The hotel is located in a great area. Easy to walk to the Plaza. Most of the staff were outstanding! However, when we checked in, the experience was awful. Sean, who was at the front desk, was not very helpful. He was downright rude. Thank goodness that was the only time we had to deal with him.

Oversold - they cancelled our reservation with no notice. We reserved this hotel 3 months prior through their website. We did the early check-in same day before we left our house. We arrived 5 minutes before our check in time only to be told they were overbooked and there were no rooms available. We asked why no one called. They said they sent an email earlier that day. Very disappointed in this company. Extremely poor customer service

Love the location, but our morning was not great. House keeping walked in to the room while we were still here, then over an hour before check out our room keys were deactivated with no explanation other than "sometimes people check out early". We had a clogged toilet and were offered a plunger rather than to have maintenance come to the room. Really disappointed.

We stayed in the Fountain suite for a weekend getaway. Two phones were missing, bathroom not clean.. Hair, not ours, in the tub and floor. The food on the buffet was cold, so decided to have yogurt.. No spoons!! No sufficient a/c.. The hotel didn't tell us there was no housekeeping unless we requested, tv went in and out. Never going back.

Not a bad hotel, the location is really good for going to west port. Service was good checking in and out. Rooms were fine, could use some updating. Along the hallways they had the carpet pulled up along the wall and it just looked kinda bad. Like someone had stopped working 20 feet from finishing the project. Would stay again.

The beds are nice and firm. It's close to shops and restaurants. My daughter loves the milkman doors. The room in the suite was a little cramped. The pool is small and outside. You have to pay to park. There was cold water in the rooms unlike the overland park Marriott. The wifi works, although it took a while to figure it out. Pay to park and no free breakfast.

  • Fahd Jehangir

Historic but well maintained. There were a few things which didn't work like the bedroom TV, landline etc but overall my stay was very comfortable and I'll be staying here again. The staff was also very professional!

Very nice rooms, excellent service, and a great location! One of the few hotels that you will be able to park on the street! They also provide valet parking.. which I did not use but the people working there were awesome! Shout out to Silas and both of the valet parking attendants... Nice pink Air maxes!

Great hotel, spotless, customer service is impeccable…. the breakfast room is undergoing renovation, plan accordingly, the plaza is a great spot with lots of options. Pool was closed and seems it’s been down a while. Parking is no longer free and managed not by the hotel and you have to pay day to day manually with card online, or, park free on the street.

  • Gina Crawford

Nice hotel, it is in an old apartment building, so it has lots of vintage touches. The room I stayed in was a little small, but perfectly adequate. It had a nice large bathroom and surprisingly large shower. I was charged for parking even though I was already paying for the room, that was disappointing. Location was great and was a short walk to the plaza.

My daughter and I had a great visit at this hotel! One of our favorite aspects was the valet service. Sage and the rest of the crew took good care of us! They always had our car ready at the go. We are truly grateful!

The hotel staff was friendly, helpful, & accommodating! We stayed in a suite as a bridal party and got ready there. Every person on the staff was wonderful, the room was a great size, and the beds were comfortable. Being a refurbished apartment building, the hotel also has charming ambiance! Would definitely stay again and again!

This is an older hotel but a nice place. The patio on the lobby level is a great place to relax. Since it is older the rooms are not modern by any mean but still meets your needs. Could stand an update on the furniture. Great place to stay if you want to explore t The Plaza.

The room was clean and the staff was friendly. With that said, the room was small and very hot. I know the building is older and it was hot outside but the room felt like it was 80 degrees the whole night. The heat made it very tough to sleep well. It was convenient that there was parking on site and the location is good.

We stayed here last weekend and were pleasantly surprised with an upgrade. Not only was the room nice and big but we had great views of the plaza, both south and west views. Hotel is tastefully decorated and rooms are very modern. They have kept the historical architecture of the building and we really appreciated that.

  • Michael York

Parking is a separate system. Upon check-in you have to scan a QR code and pay for parking separately. Not allowed to charge it to your room A minor inconvenience but an unnecessary one. It’s the first time a hotel has asked me to do this. Other than that, really like this hotel as I have been coming here for years.

  • Roy

Very nice clean old building, great atmosphere, very good service. No gross perfumed antiseptic smell, but a fresh, clean room. Perfect location for visiting the Country Club Plaza. Staff was very friendly and accommodating--this was one of those places where you could tell that the people there liked their jobs.

My wife and I do a lot of traveling, and we were blown away by the service at this hotel. Everyone was so friendly and helpful and went above and beyond to make our stay as pleasant as possible. The hotel has a great location within short walking distance of the Kansas City Plaza. Our room was clean and spacious.

Nice old hotel. Room was pretty clean, except for the bathroom sink. We quickly learned it was dirty because it was extremely slow to drain. Staff was friendly, super fast check in. I do think its ridiculous to pay $30 for parking for an overnight stay when already paying a fairly hefty price for the room.
