Fantastic looking Marriott.. most updated Courtyard Marriott...first I have stayed at this update ( they're many in the last 20 years I have been a loyal MARRIOTT Guest and am a LIFETIME TITANIUM STATUS) The reason I am giving a ONE star is simply because Marriott prides itself on "service" !!!!! This hotel from both the front desk clerk, (who has been here for a year, according to him), and the manager on staff tonight 05/23/22 @8:30pm have very poor customer service etiquette. When I checked in I needed to add one more night to my stay, I asked for a receipt in which only one night was showing up on. I asked if I could have a receipt that shows both nights and the clerk said "My computer printed it out that way, it's not gonna show both nights" I proceeded to tell him that I've stayed at Marriott's for about 20 years and always get receipts that don't show just one night at a time. After going through this for a few minutes I asked to speak to his manager - it took the better half of about 7-8 minutes for him to come back and another 3-5 for his manager to appear from the kitchen area... (* note there were only 2 beverage drinking guests and a bartender there, so it was not busy) What amazed me when he appeared is he never even looked at me or greeted me.. not a hello, hi, whatever... nothing....all he did was just quickly get behind the desk and said "what room number?" then explained that it won't post until tomorrow - then you can get a full receipt... so, it makes sense to me... I needed a explanation and got one. - This experience however was RUDE, DISRESPECTFUL and certainly not professional... I think ONCE IN 20 YEARS I have written something like this.. I write a lot of great experience reviews... THIS WAS NOT ONE OF THEM. I CAME STRAIGHT UP TO MY ROOM AND WROTE THIS. I went on the Bonvoy app and got what I needed Update: the following day, I spoke with the Opertions Manager. Who was EXACTLY like I would have expected from a MARRIOTT property.... he informed me there was in fact a way to print it out and noted he would show them and let apologized for the experience. He was amazing..

My stay at this hotel from 9/26 to 9/30 was a complete disaster. Every day, I had to make the trip to the front desk to request the complimentary water needed for the in-room coffee machine, which was already an inconvenience, however I had a pleasant experience with the staff. The real nightmare unfolded on my last night, around 11:30 pm, when I had the unfortunate encounter with a front desk staff member who exhibited the worst possible customer service. This lady, who seemed to have missed the memo on hospitality, shockingly refused to give me the complimentary water, despite the water bottles being right in front of her. Instead, she unapologetically insisted that I take empty cups from my room, carry them to the fitness room, and use the water fountain there to fill them up, take them back to the room before I could even think about making my coffee. To make matters worse, I told her I am going to extend my stay for another week and I mentioned my loyalty as a Silver member with Bonvoy and Diamond with IHG, her response was cold and indifferent – she simply told me she doesn't care if I extend my stay or not. This horrendous experience not only soured my stay but also drove me to check out. Her behavior left me with no choice but to check out the following day and move to another hotel. It's disappointing when a single negative encounter can influence a guest's decision to continue their stay, especially when they have loyalty status with the brand. She was the rudest person I ever encountered at a hotel.

1. We arrived and the entire front drive up/drop off area is taped off. You can’t drive up there to check in, drop off those with mobility issues, bring in large items, etc. There was no warning about this. No work was being done the entire weekend so not sure why it’s taped off. 2. No extra pillows in the entire hotel. We had 3 adults and an infant in a suite. The sofa bed did not have pillows, so we asked for some. Apparently there were NO extra pillows in the entire hotel. Over $700 stay and we can’t have pillows for everyone in our party?? 3. Incredibly loud teens and their families the entire weekend, presumably for a sports tournament. We were on the first floor facing the courtyard and they kept us up being loud in the courtyard, took the chairs off our patio both nights to sit by the fireplace WITHOUT asking, were kicking a ball around that kept hitting our door and window, would knock on our door at 10:30pm and run, running through the halls yelling and cursing. Kept waking up our baby and kept adults up late both nights with how loud they were in the courtyard and the hallways. 4. Went to get food at the “bistro” one morning and there was no one there serving and only 1 muffin available in the entire case. Overall, incredibly disappointing for the amount of money spent.

I have high expectations of Marriott and I have not yet been disappointed. I spend a lot of time living in long-term corporate housing. This was a last minute booking and I was warmly greeted and upgraded to a single suite and offered my choice of points or ten dollars credit for breakfast at the Starbucks. I am at the top tier of their loyalty program so my experiences may not be duplicated by everyone. My accommodations were clean and beautifully decorated. The room seemed more like a luxury apartment that had a patio or open balcony with seating. The room faces a beautifully landscaped courtyard My breakfast was tasty and familiar to most patrons of Starbucks on the coffee selections. The food selection aren't generally available in the regular Starbucks but they were freshly prepared and included some healthy options that were also delicious. There were a lot of kids in the lobby so I took my meal in my room. Late check out were available but I had to get back on the road.

The staff was kind, helpful and respectful. The building itself left much to be desired; the elevator wasn’t working to go up floors but would work on the way down, there was no water in the room or drinking fountains, and we had several bees in our room. We could also hear our neighbors very clearly through the shared room double doors. The phone in our room was unable to call the front desk and wasn’t programmed with any of the labeled numbers. Even with a wedding block discount, an Air bnb would have been much more cost effective and wouldn’t have been in such an isolated location. There is prepared food for purchase in the lobby but it’s very expensive. A black coffee, a large tea, avocado toast and a burrito was over $40. I wouldn’t recommend to a friend nor will we return. The overall price of the stay was not appropriate to the quality of the amenities of the hotel itself.

A throughly updated and clean Courtyard, this unique property is a gem tucked in the trees. Updated rooms aren’t just new, they are well maintained and clean. The large and accommodating lobby provide plenty of opportunities for family’s or travel groups to mingle after a night out. The on property restaurant/bar area has a limited menu but staff was what to please. About the only thing I could criticize was a second shift desk manager who, while polite enough, was not willing to go out of their way to answer questions or help out with common area questions. Day shift desk agent was outstanding and could easily work an upscale location. While a hotel shouldn’t make or break a vacation or a trip, good ones let you relax and maximize your energy elsewhere, and that’s why this property does. 5/5, would stay and recommend.

We asked at check in to have breakfast included and the guys said yes yes of course you have it, we came to eat in the morning and finally it wasn't included in our room, we needed to be quickly on the road, that's why we wanted breakfast at the hotel but apparently they cannot honnor what the sell, we even paid the room more than supposed... The manager didn't wanted to do anything. We did a lot of hotel this week and it's a first... So yeah we delayed our day to go eat elsewhere, didn't wanted to give you more money. The breakfast choice wasn't even good... At least if we weren't charge a breakfast included price, it wouldn't matter... The room was okay but nothing over the head, pillow weren't comfy but we managed.

My wife and I stayed at the Courtyard lastnight and really liked the upgrades they have done to the hotel and rooms. The step in shower was very nice and modern opposed to the old bathtub/shower combo we use to find there. We have been to this same hotel many times in the past as it is conveniently located to the mall, restaurants and highway. The hotel and room were very clean and check in/out was a breeze. The only complaint we have is the in room coffee. It is terrible. They have Starbucks in the lobby, but neither of us care for their coffee, which doesn't go down any easier with the price they charge. With that said we will be back for sure!

Nice quiet property, with many eateries and shopping nearby. Clean and cozy, however my special request for extra pillows in the room was not honored. Hoped that would be read in my reservation request, and I could eliminate a call to the front desk. I did get them eventually. Room was equipped with a mini fridge, but I was not offered a water at check-in; this is a great tribute to the Hilton Family Properties which never overlook helping with hydration. For two missing elements, I deducted a star. I can always count on the best government rate from Marriott family hotels, which makes the brand shine bright, however. It guarantees I can sleep on the cheap at a classy property. Hopefully next time they will earn 5 stars.

Our soccer team stayed here for a tournament this weekend. There were 3 other tournaments going on this weekend that the staff was dealing with. That is a lot of kids and parents… the staff handled everyone really well! They had teams having pizza in the lobby, and teams in the courtyard playing catch, and teams in the pool making a huge racket! It was a great time and a lot of that has to do with the staff making sure everyone had what they needed. The rooms were really clean and well furnished. There is a little market where you can pick up snacks and drinks, a bar/bistro in the lobby, places to sit and talk, etc. definitely recommend!

The property is very clean and very pretty, the rooms were immaculate. Hope at the front desk was professional and friendly. The reason I only gave 3 stars is because the website advertises pool, gym and hot tub. There is no hot tub/spa. That's the reason I chose this particular hotel. Also, when ordering a drink the bartender acted like it was such a bother to open up a beer bottle. No eye contact no service what so ever. We most likely won't stay again however I would recommend this hotel as long as you don't require a hot tub. The pool is very nice, the rooms are very very nice. We had a small balcony which I really liked as well. I was just expecting to sit in the hot tub after my long work week and long drive.

Great location. Love the location. I’m not sure if management has changed since 2020-2021 but I’m very upset that the bathrooms are dirty. Toilet seat had the nerve to be up as if it was cleaned but had pubic hair and urine all on the toilet & floor. The bathroom sink was dirty as if someone prior to me getting the room had took a bath in the shower. The towels were not hung up they were on the sink scrunched up as if they had been used. I’m very disappointed in the cleaning of the room I was going to get another night there but I refuse! To those of you who are thinking about coming here please check your bathroom!!

Just went two days ago booked because of bistro and onsite bar and hot tub.... failed to tell us until arrival and too late to cancel stay none of these were available. This was a Birthday celebration for my two adult daughters. Black mold on wall in bathroom. After parking and entering we walked through construction mess and debris not to mention several old toilets sitting on balconies before entering. Stay was terrible...could hear conversation from next room and dogs barking while trying to sleep....do not recommend!!! I hope the remodel helps this place....it certainly needs it

Service is very good here. I've been to a few Marriott hotels now and this one had the nicest, most personable staff. That really made the place have a life of its own, and the stay special. Shout out to Paul, you were very friendly and gave the place a personality. Let's be honest, most hotels in a "franchise" are the same. Same food, same lay outs, same accommodations, same aesthetic, same atmosphere, etc... They're all built to be the same so no matter which one you go to you get the "same" experience. The real heart of a place isn't found in its breakfast menu or shampoo selection, it's in the people. And this Marriott had the best people. Good job.

  • Matt Thomas

Front desk staff was nice. We had a two bed with a balcony but there was just a screen door and no balcony. So we switched for a room with a balcony but that turned into King bed with a pull out bed which was not easy to sleep on and then there were no chairs for the balcony and the same price. Also the first room overwhelmingly smelled like heavy cleaner and the toliet didn't flushon the second room but I fixed it. On Saturday night the bar was closed with a ton of people in the lobby they lost business there. Just expected a little better for the money I spent. The racoons that live in back are pretty nice.

Would be 5 stars for the actual hotel, but check in process was so very frustrating! Only 1 worker behind the desk and I stood in front of her for just over 10 minutes while she was discussing some future reservations with another customer on the phone. I was forced to be somewhat rude and had to ask her to put them on a brief hold so she could give me my room key (I prechecked in via the app, so all I needed was room key.. so much for that saving check in times!)

Thank you so much Julie and Gerardo (forgive me if misspelled)! I called Julie in advance about upgrade being a Bonvoy member and upon arrival she had it all worked out to a suite! The supervisor Gerardo was very complimentary and kind in resolving questions! Kudos to the STAFF! I NEVER walked into any Hotel that smelled so FRESH! I was so pleased I told Julie and staff! I have not recently had any exceptional stays at Bonvoy hotels but this one brought back hope!!! Thanks again EVERYONE ! I was recommended this hotel and I would definitely recommend again!!!!!!❤️❤️

The hotel is clean, the rooms are nice, the staff was nice the price was cheap. I was amazed at the quality of the hotel for that price. It would've been a 5 star review hands down unfortunately the room next to us has people coming and going all hours of the night. There had to be atleast 8 people staying there. It was mostly teenagers/ children running the halls being loud and disrespectful all night long. I won't stay here again because I feel the staff should have been more aware and intervened.

The worst hotel stay of my life, I can not believe it’s affiliated with Marriott. I stayed here last night and there were kids running and screaming in my hall until 1am, even knocking on our door many times so I called to let the front desk know and the lady was extremely rude. She answered “ok?” As if it wasn’t her problem at all. We slept barely at all. The “bar/restaurant/coffee” in the main lobby had nothing, they were out of everything to order. To give this stay even a 1 star, is 1 too many..

I will not be staying at this hotel again. Booked 2 nights and they shut off both of my keys after the first night and when I went to the front desk they asked me if I booked 1 or 2 nights. When I told them I booked 2 they reactivated my keys. Also the room we were staying in had a bunch of ants crawling all over the walls and around the door on the first floor. This hotel needs some serious maintenance because it is disgusting.

Staff was friendly, room was cleaner than most we have stayed in since Covid. We had a pretty good stay. The only negative thing we had was the let down of the pool being cold. The pool is indoor, but I do not believe it is heated. If it is it's kept very low. Kids had blue lips in no time, had to get out. Pool room was extremely hot, probably 90°F but the pool was 70-72°F. This doesn't constitute a heated indoor pool. The pool should be at least 80°F.

Disappointed that this locations complimentary breakfast doesn’t start until 7:00 am. We were in town for a soccer tournament and games start early in the morning and the kids have to be at the facility by 7 or earlier. One of the reasons we picked this hotel was because of the free breakfast. They also do not have coffee in the lobby. ALL hotels have coffee in the lobby’s it seems. Also, the morning front desk lady was rude and unhelpful.

Looks better on the outside then inside. Rooms are dingy and dark. The carpets were musty and felt dirty. The shower leaked water on to the ground leaving a puddle on the ground . No housekeeping unless you ask, no one even refreshes toiletries or towels unless you find someone to help you get some. The pool was overheated and smelled of chlorine. Bar was never opened for dinning or drinking and we were not refunded for the amenities that the hotel promised and Not delivered! Skip this place

The GM here is not on your side. I’m a titanium elite member and nothing was done for me regarding the bed bugs found it her than moving rooms and not to mention several times during my stay. Office staff and maintenance took care of it but nothing from the GM for the many inconveniences. I couldn’t even discuss my long term rate until almost 3 weeks of staying there and no option to back date the lower rate bc it would be an accounting nightmare…per GM

We have stayed here before, hosted our couples retreat here, it was great!!! However, this past weekend WE were Very dissatisfied with our stay. There must have been a hockey tournament, kids running through the halls, the dining room and front desk area was a " Super Spreader" none of the 75 or so parents were social distancing or wearing face coverings. We were scheduled to stay the entire weekend, we left early....TOTALLY FRUSTRATED

  • Matt Merrell

First room assigned was not available due to cleaning and a sign was on the door to not enter. Called the front desk and told them. They said they would assign me another room. So I said I would wait because I had all my luggage with me. But the lady said no, come back downstairs. Very irritating.

The walls are very thin. The couple next to us were all nighters.Housekeeping left a pillow with makeup on the bed. I call the front desk to ask for a new one and the lady told me they don’t have anymore. I felt dirty all night. If you looking for a quick place to sleep off the expressway it works.

Stayed here for a total of two weeks over the past few months. Boths rooms I stayed in were always kept clean. Front desk staff was always helpful and friendly. I never heard anyone so my stays were quite. Beds / bedding comfortable. Sofa might have seen better days (didn't use it anyways) and maybe rooms could be updated. If i'd have to travel out this way again I'd stay here again.

Check in was outstanding. Wonderful lady. Room was fine. Then we went to the bistro....this lady was rude, short and less than helpful. I watched her interact with other customers. We were not special; she had the same demeanor with them as well. I do not believe customer service is her calling. I would recommend the rest of the hotel- just avoid the bistro!

  • Doktor Detroit

Rates are fair. It would be nice if they had a complimentary coffee bar open 24 hours. The Starbucks inside opens a little late for those that have to be on the road early. Hotel is currently under renovation. Stayed in a new room, it was good except someone needs to show the contractor how to install shower doors so they don't leak water all over the floor.

Booked for my daughter’s birthday slumber party. I requested a double bed suite for 4 girls and 2 adults. I get there and was told they overbooked so I will have to take a king suite for 6 people. Of course I had no other choice but to take it but that was unacceptable. I booked far enough in advance that I shouldn’t have had this issue.

Very welcoming vibe. The front desk lady with a channel mask was very patient and helpful. The rooms are amazing and comfy beds. The convenience store was anything but it was $10 for a bottle of water and sweet tea so bring your own beverage. They do not offer breakfast as well. I loved the patio attached to the room. Very nice!!!

  • Dan Bowers

Rooms were nice but… if you want your vehicle broken in to go ahead and stay! You’ll be pleasantly surprised to find your windows broken out, trailer stolen, or whatever could be taken! This hotel knows this is happening and does nothing about it or warns anyone… which leads me to believe they are in on it… DO NOT stay here.

  • GlenW

I did not end up with the room type/bed size which I had reserved months in advance. The staff was not knowledgeable about room types and were inadequate in resolving issue. Group breakfast offering was less than desirable. I stay at many hotel types during the course of the year and this was not a good selection on my part.

This Courtyard offers a great experience. The people are very friendly and helpful. The food is very good and the selection is nice. The rooms have nice beds and amenities. They do a great job serving their guests. As a member who stays at Marriott over 100 nights per year, this was a GREAT hotel. Very impressed.

The hotel itself was nice. I initially booked a king room - the guest service person who checked me in asked if a double Queen room was ok and I said sure. Turns out it’s more expensive than the kind and I was not notified. I was then charged twice when I asked to stay another night and have yet to be refunded.

Check in was efficient, and Phil was very informative about amenities and how to find our room. He was very high energy and helpful with other questions during our stay. I had an issue with noise that the staff dealt with promptly. Everything was clean, and the beds were comfortable. Kids enjoyed the pool.

My elderly father ventured out one year into the pandemic and stayed here. Everyone of the staff was kind, accommodating and welcoming to Dad. The hotel is in a great location (especially for those not familiar with Indianapolis as easy access to 465). I highly recommend this location and staff!!!

Room had hair in the bathroom and tub. Reservation was for two queen beds. The beds in the room were doubles. Brought the issue to the front desk, and they showed me the room was showing as two queens on the computer. I rarely stay with Marriot hotels, and will continue to avoid them after this

This was just a quick getaway for our family. The Hotel was very clean and looked well maintained. Everyone of the staff that we talked to was very informative and helpful. The location is what helped us decide where to stay because of all the things there are to do in close proximity.

Really nice hotel. Modern. Kinda pricy for the room nothing special about it. Had a sliding door in the room for a balcony but no balcony. Really a waste.. The store area is very expensive. Brings your own drinks and snacks. Has a small restaurant but did not go to. Smelled delicious!!

Spent the night on a trip to Michigan. It was clean, stylish and I felt comfortable as a woman traveling by myself. The staff was friendly. Loved the courtyard! Easy access to and from the interstate. Lots of nearby restaurants too! I liked it so much that I returned on my trip home!

We have stayed at this Marriot several time over the last year or so. Each stay has been a good one even with restrictions due to Covid. The only thing I wish was different would be that the dinning was open fully. I have stayed at other Courtyards and enjoyed the food there.

  • AS

I enjoyed my stay, very relaxing and welcoming staff. Especially due to covid I enjoyed how clean everything was. Didn’t go to breakfast but had the market “vending machines”/snack area and will say there need to be more options for snacks and drinks but not the worst

  • Nikki S

Their hospitality was great. Especially the lady in the reception gave us excellent service. We checked in here in the middle of the night and it was hassle free. In terms of stay, I expected a better value for money. The rooms are pretty stuffy and not so spacious.

  • Em

Check in was great. Room was clean and cold. There was a lot of loud shouting and banging that could be heard from 11:30-1:30A. Called front desk twice with no answer after multiple rings. Went to front desk at 9:00 to check out but no one was available to do this.
