Make sure you park between the lines MASSIVE Fine if u park anywhere in Speke Retail even slightly over the line even in my experience when my parents had cancer and I was out off my mind with worry and had to collect medication in a hurry and was slightly ever so over line got fined £180.00 and got a lot of threatening letters even though I had explained situation paid in full but just don't want any other families going through the same experience

I ordered two cake and two latte, the cashier said swipe your card and she left the till, the machine showed remove your card, the cashier was still away, I removed it as I usually don’t ask for the receipt for small shopping to save papers and So trees, and waited for the latte and when it was ready the cashier was not still around to check everything was ok! When I took the tray to our table after a couple of minutes she came to our table and told my friend that your payment was not completed!!! She even didn’t remember everything was done by me!! I had to go to the till again used my card again and was asked to sign a paper!!! Although that problem was not my fault at all, both of staffs at the till didn’t look polite to be sorry !! I had a bad feeling after that and won’t go there again.

Been to this Costa twice. It is on the first floor of the Next store and is accessed via an escalator or lift. Next and Costa have only been open a few weeks. The shop is bright with big windows overlooking the carpark. A few shrubs have been planted round one side of the carpark, but the view is not very good if you like trees and flowers to look at. Costa's coffee was up to it's usual standard but the loud music played in the shop I found intrusive. There again if you are young you might like loud music. I myself like to relax and converse with whomever I am with. Visited 9th October 2020 during lockdown for Covid 19. Did not stop as few tables being used and no empty tables available.

Americano coffee and ordered some biscoff loaf cake, like costa coffee but sometimes on the strong side so needed to ask for extra milk, personal preference. Loaf cake overpriced and dry. The real issue is the cleanliness, this seems to be a common issue whatever branch you visit, not enough staff to keep on top of serving and cleaning of restaurant area. Seats stained and grilubby, tables cluttered, floor filthy. Really needs to be improved.

Great place for coffee, staff member Beth was lovely, she even remembered me from long ago and despite it can get busy she always has a smile on her face!! Really recommend 10 out of 10!! I ordered quite a customized coffee and she made it PERFECT what else can you ask for?!?!

Two toilets - one has a "not in use" sign and the other one is absolutely disgusting! See photos. also, I arrived at the shop at 4.30pm. The sitting section at the front of the shop near the glass window was closed off for cleaning. After 40 minutes it is still closed, but no-one is cleaning it. My guess is that is is closed so that customers don't use it.

Been here a few times , always has it's been spells, this visit was at about 12. The staff were serving & stocking up. Waiting in the queue we noticed flies landing on cakes in the display . Mentioned it to staff , one asked the other for cling film & the other said we can't cover them. So obviously didnt order a cake. No cakes were removed . Shame they don't have a door on the cabinet. Bad design .

They do say that cleanliness is next to godliness. If that is the case, I do not know what this place and its associated toilet are next to. VERY slow collecting old dishes/cups from tables (no cleaning of tables) and the toilets were, as usual, absolutely disgusting.

Always close the main sitting area off at half 4/5. Taken out cups only , all that carry on . We had to sit by the till on a tiny table when there are 60 seats blocked off. Joke... noticed more and more Costas do this , I wouldn't mind if it was close to closing time , still nearly 3 hours left. Staff are sound but it does my head in, its getting earlier as its gets darker so it seems

We visited at 3.30pm on Saturday for cake and a cuppa whilst out shopping. There was no ice so no fruit coolers available, no other cold drinks as the fridge was broken, a poor selection of food, rude staff who slammed down trays on the counter, failed to apologise for such appalling service, and dirty tables. Nothing positive whatsoever. Suffice to say we will not return. Dreadful.

Been here a few times, it’s upstairs in Next, very handy to pop in and grab a coffee to go, not usually busy around 9am either so always straight in and out, staff are always friendly and polite Seen a few comments regarding flies on cakes etc, I won’t buy cakes from any Costa as the new design with the cakes on open display is in all costas and all will have issues with flys

Nice bright area for cafe,on the upperfloor via escalator or lift.Lots of seating,comfy couches,disabled seating and access,and children's high chairs.Had a lovely coconut flat white today and Vegan jam and nut square-delicious! Staff were lovely,friendly and helpful.Would give five stars if more Vegan stuff.

I ordered a cappuccino and the spoon was dirty. I asked a boy changed it and he don't change immediately, he make me waiting because he already doing something else. He asked his collegue to give me a new spoon and she gave me touching with the hand, witout using a tissue. Hygiene is an optional in Costa?

It's a pity the attitude from staff didn't match the quality of the coffee. A female member of staff with a large tattoo on her forearm really needs to learn how to talk customers. Quiet happy to abuse customers waiting in a queue to be served. Would I return for a free Costa coffee..NO THANK YOU.!!

Terrible, worst Costa Ive ever been to! Most of the menu’s ingredients weren’t available so couldnt order anything but normal coffee, i can stay home and make that! Toilets disgusting with just wet toilet rolls all over. Wont be back!

I was there 2 saturdays on the run mid afternoon both times there was no carrot cake I was not the only one who was disappointed other people were saying the same thing 3rd saturday no carrot cake. Half the seating area was blocked off for cleanning not ideal on a busy Saturday afternoon

It's just Costa.....what can I possibly say ....no different from any other Costa! Had to clean a table to start with ie:empty it of crockery etc. but that's the same at every Costa really☹ apart from that ....expensive for what it is, but still go from time to time

No red berry tea ,I can not drink milk so very disappointing when at 11.00 you have run out of red berry tea ,toilets disgusting.

0 customer service skills. Completely lets down the reputation of Costa. The coffees don’t even taste like Costa Quality. Closes seating area 1 hour before the closing time and therefore turns customers away, wow.

Really enjoyed the environment there. Unfortunately some areas with tables and chairs feel like they're in shoppers way so you feel awkward when trying to drink/eat or talk as people are walking past constantly.

Ladies serving were exceptional! Very helpful and polite, nothing too much trouble. Will definitely try and get back ASAP

Clean and supportive staff. I didn't know the different types of iced latte and I was avoiding sugar due to gastetional diabetes, so the staff explained to me well and was patient with my ignorance.

Was in next with my two young sons. We treated ourselves to cake for one fruit for the other, coffee for dad. The costa was clean the coffee was good and the service was efficient. Would recommend.

No GF cherry Bakewells. Card machine not working but staff were lovely. Tables kept clean and clear. Coffee was just what I needed! Great!

The service off one of the staff was awful who took your money the girl who made drinks who was pregnant was lovely. But the windows were discussing and tables were full of dishes.

It’s a Costa, so I like the coffee. Good view out of the Mechano Liver Bird and for general people watching from the windows at the front.

Abysmal service barrista "jen" had appalling attitude. Will not be calling in for a coffee again.looks like it's Starbucks for now on!!
