SHOPPING MALL AT THE BASE OF A LARGE BUILDING ON COLLINS STREET The open design of the mall is interesting. The front wall of the mall is actually a canopy from the floors above so that the mall is really an extension of the footpath. It's a high end shopping centre (think Armani and Zegna) thats is heavily patronised by the many office workers in the vicinity. There are coffee shops and eateries and the Kino cinema lives here too! Very easy access for people with mobility issues. There are very frequent trams running up and down Collins Street and you are also quite close to Parliament Metro Station. Only two annoying things - it gets very busy at lunch time and people smoke all around its perimeter (smoking isn't allowed within four metres of the building so people stand puffing away all along this 4 metre line)

I just saw my friend Alex outside here, to the south, sitting waiting in the sun, sitting, waiting, I think, for his lunch break to be over or else for someone to arrive and rouse him from the spell the summery weather had put over him. He pointed to where he worked, on which floor he worked, and though I couldn't tell which floor that was I imagined him in a corner office, some time in the past, with only a phone on the desk and sitting foward on his seat head down in the same manner as I had found him in the sun. I asked if he had been to that toilet everyone talks about and he said he wasn't sure.

Set inside the Collins Place Tower at the top end of Collins St. Lots of Cafés, casual Eateries serving mostly the office towers around it. Triple lifts from the carpark are glass fronted and kids can enjoy going up and down with views of the massive 6 or 7 storey glass roofed atrium. Kino theatre is also located in a corner of this Atrium, it's about the only thing open at night here as all other shops are closed. On site, paid parking is available in the multilevel basement of the building. Perfectly located for exploring Melbourne.

Good place to go for breakfast & coffee. equally good for lunch just a lot more busy @that time.good food courts around the place Asian Mexican Australian also health type foods. Also restaurant's on Flinders Lane & exhibition st corner of Bld. + Japanese inside good amount of seating spread about the place. You will find shoe repairs chemist lotto/newsagents optometrist up market clothes men & woman's. There is also a bar & small cinema and anz bank the Sofitel hotel + professional suites something for everyone.

Nearly everything was closed when we visited at lunch time on a Saturday. The 1 Cafe that was open served pies, cakes and pastries. The pastry and filling were nice on the beef pie I ordered, however it was only just Luke warm. All the other pies we purchased were also Luke warm or cold. The centre felt a bit like a ghost town overall. They had a promotion for people shopping on Saturdays to win a stay at the sofitel hotel, however nothing was open so I don't know how you're meant to shop lol!

The lower level food court has a number of Asian style serving nooks to cater to your whim on the day. Very busy at lunchtime. I have bought fresh delicious prepacked sandwiches, cakes and drinks from the food stall on the left at the bottom of the stairs from the main Collins Street entrance. There are fashion boutiques and a jewelry store located on the street level areas. The Kino Cinema on the lower level shows the more arthouse style movie. A worthwhile visit.

A bland piece of 1970s architecture, of little redeeming merit (IM Pei & Partners are the designers). Once among the tallest buildings in Melbourne. The large interior courtyard is windswept and cold in winter, and hot in summer. Fortunately, the below ground sections have more shelter, and reasonably comfortable cages and eating places, plus a cinema. The towers have mixed commercial tenants, and a hotel.

Prices are mixed but variety is good and the staff at shops are generally friendly. The major downside is the bathrooms. It is a coin toss on how good or bad they will be. Seriously, eew! On the plus side there is a good amount of seating and the place is clean, well conditioned all year and well lit. So given a bit of an overhaul in the bathrooms and I'll move my rating up a star.

Was in the area, so popped in got something to eat, checked movie times. Loved that there was lots of seating about. Had come from a painful, but effective knee massage, and because there were plenty of seats, i didn't have to get up straightaway, after eating , just whisked out my puzzle book and pencil and puzzled till i was ready to move. Will definitely be back!

It's a great place to destress. I booked the bath and deep tissue massage, the bath was nice and hot great to just sit in and soak. The sauna was really hot, it's probably better in winter. The massage was excellent, I had a lot of knots in my shoulders that needed working out. Overall a great experience, I would definitely return.

A cool bar with a huge selection of cocktails. You can walk straight past it without knowing it's there! A pricey list selection but high quality. I had the pilot and it was a very nice cocktail. The only downside is that you get seated and they don't let you choose your seats. It's also tight seating and not the most comfortable.

Food court is just okay, has so many options but not that good in quality or taste. The merchandise in the branded garment shops are really good, but I don't know why they are priced so high? $400A for a dress that looks and feels like only $150A. Some shops are reasonably priced and when on sale they make real sense.

The Sofitel Melbourne is located here just an amazing place to stay the restaurant is one of the best around they definitely have some great chef's. Dropping off clients here I must say the concierge service is always impeccable they are great to deal with as its a tight spot for limos getting in and out

Designed by I.M Pei, Collins Place comprises the iconic office towers of 35 and 55 Collins Street and is complemented by a unique complex that includes the Sofitel Melbourne, professional suites and a vibrant retail plaza housing Kino Cinemas and some of Melbourne's finest dining and fashion stores.

  • Claude Castro

A busy center with several boutique styled shops and sufficient food outlets that suits the City crowd. The premises and toilet amenities are clean and the air conditioning is a welcome relief from the outside heat. There is also a cinema and a Hotel that is catered to the high end crowd.

  • Adam Rafferty

Fantastic food options for city workers. Lots of lunch specialists with plenty of variety. Can be crazy busy at lunch time. Also has a great newsagent with a brilliant selection of cards and a small but comprehensive range of magazines, including imports.

  • Ajnil Singh

Amazing coffee, friendly service, tasty food and a great place. Roasted lamb looked so nice and I guess is more popular. By the time I decided to have one, was gone already! I went back the next day and it tasted so delicious. (Photo is chicken not lamb)

  • Leah RTK

We used the underground carpark which was OK except on return there was only one lift to go back down. It can take awhile especially if you happen to be leaving same time after a big event. It also took awhile to exit as it can get busy on Flinders Lane.

  • praveen jugraj

Fantastic food court with variety of options to choose from. It feels like an outdoor area but its fully air conditioned and temperature is maintained in all weathers. Bar and Cinema are also part of it and makes it a nice place to hangout.

  • Paul S

As an office space this place has your basics covered. The recently renovated front plaza is great to sit at while waiting for friends and colleagues. The foyer looks great post renovations and it's got some business attire shops, a news

  • Frank Perry

Great Café, wide range of food, sandwiches and wraps, loads to choose from. Fair prices, friendly staff and great coffee. This place always looks rather busy and I know that they are doing what they can to serve the costumers as fast as

  • Matt Grey

80's vibe and style, decent amenities and loaded with all types of stores. Kino cinemas and bar are a bonus as well. Always open as an under-cover pathway on cold or wet days as well. Exvellent Christmas display, the tree is massive!

  • Karen Stuart

Busy at midday. Often have great pop up stalls aligning with Melbourne's events. No matter what you feel like for lunch you'll find it in the food court, and the quality is not too bad. Little hint, if you want to get away from the

  • Dennis Zanon

I go to the food cart ones a week, The food was quite good, even though the Melbourne lockdowns. But unfortunately it's getting more expensive, and they seem to be reducing the size of the servings. The quality is dropping as well.

  • Neil Johnson

Good place for a coffee or lunch, out of all weather conditions, but not feeling you are indoors. Kino Cinemas are my favourite cinemas. Toilet facilities are available in several places throughout the centre.

  • Billy Ranasinghe

Love this place I work around the corner always come here great selection of food and drinks also have a chemist and I belive once in every 2 months they have a market which had a great selection of goodies.

  • J & D

Great little shopping mall. Has a food court with a great choice of cuisines, as well as several higher end clothing stores. Also home to the Kino Cinema for those interested in Art House movies.

  • Khalid Amin

Its a beautiful and laid back shopping centre, although there are not many shopping options available. However the outside area next to Collins St is beautiful. There’s also a food court.

  • Monique C

Located in CBD and right next to Sofitel, there’s a Kino cinema and a authentic Japanese restaurant in it! Always having beautiful decorations, so it’s a good spot for photo shoot!

  • Kathy Heyward

I went to the movies once and walled through a bunch of times. As far as I know the food court is pretty good. The architecture is interesting and it's a nice space to hang out in.

Food court is expensive, and some places are still closed. Not as crowded as it was pre COVID, so it's easi6to get a seat now, in the food court.

Very New and clean. Has a good vibe. Plenty of food options and connections to surrounding streets. Thoroughly enjoyed being in this environment.

  • K L Walsh

It used to be very good but unfortunately it has never quite fully recovered from lockdown. A lot of empty shops in the food court. Such a shame

  • Kim Gelvin

From cocktails in the sky to movies in the basement and a fashion ballet exhibit in the foyer, it's a perfect date spot on Upper Collins Street.
