Their customer service is appalling. Dropped in tonight because I had seen an item I wanted at Coles Southgate Plaza, Reynella, while I was working today, on special for $3.75. I thought, support the local community - And I go to my local store to purchase it tonight but was told "no sorry, it's $7.50" and it was explained that it might have been a 'Managers Special'...righto. Then , we get to the checkout and the older black haired lady behind the counter scowls at us and barks "GOT BAGS?".....wow....no smile, no Hi, how are you. She proceeds to throw our lettuce onto the counter, then when she is packing the bag, picks it up again, not by the plastic wrapping .....by the actual lettuce leaves and throws it into the bag. I'll make sure I wash that, I don't want any of your money handling germs or your bad attitude on my food thankyou! - The worst customer service I have seen in a long time...well done Ali, give yourself a pat on the back, you win our 'Worst check out chick of the year' award. Then, so angry about the way we were treated, I call the store when I get home and yep, you guessed it, no answer, called back 4 more times and it just rings out. Avoid this place like the plague!

It is good to see the local store always improving. In all honesty, I am not a great lover of the supermarket concept and would prefer the older way of stores that trade in their own specialties. However, if you can stick to your needs and not fall for the specials on junk food, Coles has great veg, meat and groceries. It's a pity that specials don't extend to these items as much as the junk and rubbish foods and drinks. Checkouts are a bit of a PITA, at times, I don't work there so I don't use self serve either. I prefer to keep people employed. The staff are pleasant and helpful, but there is a madness on the Covid responsibility. Maybe the Covid Marshall should ensure that people do the right thing before entering the store...$10,000 store fine and $1650 individual fine, which police are now cracking down on. Overall, it was good to see the store open till 8pm now. Hopefully weekends will be next.

Convenient, but not my favourite store. The vast majority of staff are absolutely wonderful, but I have had a couple of instances of rudeness at the checkout in recent months that have soured my overall opinion of the service. It's not a big supermarket either. Coles product quality is always good and their prices tend to beat Foodland in most things, but Aldinga Coles doesn't stock nearing as much range as Aldinga Foodland or Seaford Woolworths. Spent 20 minutes in the click & collect bay calling for my online order along with 2 other cars. Ended up having to go to the service desk inside and tell them to answer the phone. Wasn't even slightly busy inside and when we finally got our shopping. We got home to find a bags worth of items we were billed for were missing.

I was a constant shopper at this Coles. Just sick of the lack of check outs open. Very frustrating when you only need a few items. The 12 items or less checkout has not been open in such a long time. This store wants you to use the self serve as I had to use today. My husband and I found it cramped and we struggled with the bagging. The lady supervising the section kept telling us we weren't doing it right. So why not come over and help us then. I work in retail and pack my customers items with a pleasant helping attitude. This lady rudely said to my husband under her breath that I was having a hissy fit. No lady I abandoned the checkout due to lack of customer service. This store not only lacks service it sadly doesn't employ enough staff.

Didn't open till 11 crazy given the fact Tassie opens every day earlier. The shelves were still being packed. Line's where super long. Then some guy I think a manager was moving people who were almost to the counter to back of line's so they had to wait longer because they were blocking aisle' s. Had juniors on the most of the register. They kept needing help holding line's up. I know they have to learn I appreciate that but I think when they know they are going to be that busy maybe have a senior staff with them rather then them waiting for someone to come help them, someone would be there with them. The bloke moving people around was so rude. I won't be going there again. On a plus the young lady who served me was good and polite.

After spending $280 shopping and going thru the self-service checkout, I approached the tobacco counter to purchase my cigarette. I waited for about 3min to then be told they wouldn't serve me no longer as the store was now closed. I hadn't yet left the store! I wasn't impressed an quietly protested only to be ignored. As I walked away, I fell over a shop sign that was in the mall, then to be actually laughed at by this certain staff member, I arrived back at my friend's car in tears with my wrists sprained and knee's bruised. I've frequented this centre since it very first opened, but this particular day was an unpleasant experience

What makes Coles Aldinga Beach is the staff. Why do I shop at Coles Aldinga Beach almost exclusively? The staff. I would like to say a special thanks to Kiki who always without hesitation goes above and beyond and puts a smile on my face as soon as I see she is serving. She is such a delight and boy does she know how to pack your groceries correctly... this is an actual art by the way! Thanks Aldinga Beach team!

Very poor customer service.....Only 1 assisted checkout open no express checkout and when doing self checkout was queried about the most expensive item bought. $30.. and asked why I had not scanned it!!!! IT WAS THE FIRST ITEM SCANNED AS I SHOWED THE POMPOUS STAFF MEMBER who by the way I was doing her job as a checkout service operator

Understaffed, stressed staff and obviously poor management. Only one express lane that closes for some of the most bizarre excuses I have ever heard, anything but "we want you to use the self-service checkouts". I only shop there if Foodland do not stock what I am looking for. Avoid at all costs - cheap and nasty store.

Coles Aldinga is the anchor store for Aldiga Shopping Centre on the corner of Pridham Ave + Aldinga Beach Rd. Coles is a large format supermarket with fresh vegetable section, dairy, bakery and butcher section. The isles r wide, well marked for items and easy to navigate. Friendly staff r there to help. I prefer to drive down to Seaford or McLaren Vale to do my shopping if I don't organise myself for Coles Online shopping. Very limited range, unusual layout & poor staff ratio. Self serve was closed 90mins before store closing time which caused delays due to only two checkouts open... Strange!

Minimal options, basically no premium range, No lamb back strap, tomahawk, pancheta, shallots… crowded isles, weird flow, people have to line up in isles to get to self serve… tired floors and feel. Time for a bit of love @coles. Staff are friendly and try their best, but often under staffed.

Coles aldinga beach. My most disliked Coles supermarket. Fight to get thru check outs. Long queues at check outs. Grubby shop. Shelves not filled and selection is too small.2nd visit. Sorry no change. This site needs sorting. The worst coles I've ever been in. 3rd visit. No change.

Well laid out. Easy to find items. Clean and neat and virus conscious. Vegetables and fruit along the west wall, dairy and meat along the north wall and frozen foods along east wall. Checkouts face the mall. Specials are in front of isle ends. Good variety of flowers and service.

why does Coles pick and choose when all the self service checkouts are open? they have 2 of the 6 closed with signs up saying "closed to maintain social distancing" but when the line up of customers is the length of isle 1 the signs get whipped off and all 6 registers are open...

Absolutely appalled by 2 staff at the service desk who breached my confidentiality by talking to a friends mother about a pregnancy test i bought. Will be taking this as high up as i can - this is disgusting outrageous behavior and i have never experienced anything like it.

Need to open more check-outs wait to long to be served then they'll take the person behind you to a new check out just because there kids go to same school. Fruit and vegetables don't last long maybe 2 days bread sometimes feels stale even after they've restocked.

Shopped on Sunday,very busy. Someone came up with the idea to have only one single line to stand in,to pay for shopping. So why don't they have more staff on . The last Sunday the day before school starts and a long weekend. Won't be going back

The store is about 15 years out of date, the product selection is limited. You're better of at a country IGA. The store needs to grow, Aldinga has grown extensively of the past 15 years and the store has remained a small country store.

Very limited stock. Staff always seem to avoid contact with customers and are very clicky with the people that they know. Fruit and veg are good quality. Lots of parking available and very close to the beach for last minute picnic food

While waiting to get thru checkout today I surprisingly received a tap on my shoulder from Christine that she was about to open another checkout Glad that Christine took the inactive & open her checkout as as usual it was very busy

It's a lovely shop but unfortunately it doesn't have a lot of room up near the registers. This lack of room makes getting served or going through the self-serve areas a bit stressful as it feels kind of claustrophobic.

Been going there for more than a few years. Good prices, good stock and most importantly, really nice people. The layout has changed a little, so now got to get used to finding things again.. Update.. used to it now.

This is my least favourite Coles. The fruit and veg isn't as good as other Coles. There is always a line up for the self service check out and the day I went it was quite long and only 2 other registers were open.

Nothing wrong with this Coles. Not the most modern and amazing range but staff seem fine, range is not bad. I just wish they would stock some more of the Nudie juice flavours. No complaints here, Foodland as good

Your paper bags are so bad! I put my phone in one of those bags and it broke I just got my phone today and now it is broken because of your bags! But although nice service and fruit and veg is always perfect!

Always a pleasant if necessary shop.Good range ,good prices and easy to find ---for the most part --items.The best bit comes at the checkout with friendly and efficient staff to set you on your way.

Great store, typical Coles. Well set out, well stocked too. Very helpful Staff at the service counter. Plenty of trolleys and the store was very clean too. Lots of parking outside in the carpark.

Shoutout to Kiki tonight @ checkout, the no-nonsense young lady with a silver tongue. Service was inviting, staff culture seems spiritedly & that's a solid thumb up as far as i'm concerned.

Prices on things I regularly buy,have almost doubled, a particular item I buy,has not been stocked for over two weeks, I've had to travel to other stores to get the product, inconvenient

Decent Coles, not much different to the rest. Using wheelchair to get around is somewhat troublesome as some aisles have large support beams restricting foot traffic. Staff are great.

In the mornings just after 8 only one checkout open with no other option than to use self service which I'm boycotting due to supermarkets hiring less staff for checkout work.

If I could give no stars I would! You would think that aldinga coles could improve after 20 years never has stock always out of everything it’s hopeless. Very disappointing

Perfectly fine. It's an everyday supermarket. Trolleys n stuff. Kids in trollies. Food in trollies. Some people calm. Some not so. And life goes on. And l love my dog.

A joke of a supermarket, fruit and veg is either empty or of poor quality and Shelves are always empty I only go here because it's the closest Coles by 25 mins.

Well fit store layout. Has everything you need a side from the clothing coles offers. Staff always prompt and efficient. Been shopping here for over a decade.

I went in the other day and asked for the person from the meat department. He came out in a very bad mood and rude as hell. Customer service there isn't any.

Coles Aldinga Beach have extremely friendly and helpful personal. The store is always well stocked in the fresh produce, deli and shelving area.

Has a very varied stock of fruit and vegetables and meat. Hoping when they source meats from outside that the quality and price will be better.

The old bat in the deli section is always moody and terrible with customers I find that the fruit and veg sold here is borderline expiring

Have to time it right or there is no or limited stock. Mainly fruit and veg and bread is limited. Other than that it's a great place

Aldinga refuses to open the 12 item or less check out in busy time, excuses, excuses. I will go to Dakes, Coles loss all to often.

There is a male checkout person who deserves a medal. I always look out for him as he is always cheerful and looks you in the eye.

itll be a good day when i can go in, buy bread and walk out within 5 minutes instead of waiting half hour at the registers.
