The definition of a dive bar. I was here for a bucks party a couple of weeks back and the only thing I was impressed with was how sticky everything was. EVERYTHING. Door handles, pool table, bar stools, even the air felt sticky – which isn't a surprise given they practically have a cornered off indoor smoking area. To top it all off, the entire bar smelt like chlorine. I kept looking down at my feet worried I was going to fall face first into a pool I didn't see. The only saving grace was the staff. One dude behind the bar that did his job and did it with a smile on his face. Kudos to him. I definitely wouldn't be smiling if I had to work in a smoke filled, chlorine smelling, sticky bar every weekend.

If you are not from Melbourne and a Melbournain takes you here at 3 am just make sure you stay close by the bar where bar staff can protect you from African drug pushers trying to move their product! The bar staff are very nice. But avoid the dark and dingy smoking room overlooking King street becsuse this is where the African drug dealers start asking you to buy them beers and and if you want to buy their product. Simply ignore them and be careful .Politely walk away. Victoria police should do something about the African dealers who frequent this dive bar. I will never set foot there again only because of the dealers. Otherwise its good place even if it is a dive bar but the dealers make it not safe.

A really cool chilled out fun rocken spot to hang out with friends or strangers and have a bevo!! There are a couple of pool tables that sets the fun vibe into action with choose your own music for a gold coin as well as a set track there are plenty of opportunities to hit the dance floor! Plenty of cosy seating areas and a good sized outdoor smoking lounge!! The staff are super amazing and with no charge at the door it makes for budget friendly night!! The best part of being at clique is the lad back fun filled vibe which is super relaxed and everyone is down to earth with there attitude!!! Make it a night which becomes your regular night spot for fun!!!

Clique is an awesome place to go to for drinks and great conversation. It opens late so people usually go here after other bars close. Equipped with 2 pool tables a juke box dance floor, pinball machine and old school arcade table. The staff are friendly and fun. Most of the people that frequent the place are regulars from all walks of life. The facilities are a bit grubby but the atmosphere makes up for it. Everyone from the staff, security and the regulars take care of eachother. Occasionally theres people who come in to cause trouble but they are removed very quickly. I love this place and will continue to frequent the place for years to come.

Arranged a mates bucks here via a service provider and I understood we were headed to a seedy joint but discovered there are layers of seedy and Clique is the bottom feeder of seedy. Absolutely filthy and they were such a wreck they couldn't even open the doors in time for the booking. Had to sticky tape an electrical wire that was hanging over the entry of the door... When they had the audacity to shut the bar off 15mins early I'd had enough. There are plenty more late night places open until 5am. Avoid this place and save yourself the threat of disease. Only gets a second star because the bouncer was surprisingly a champ.

Now now now where do I start, I have came here now on numerous occasions and I would say that I have the basic idea of how to describe Clique. The drinks are quite stanted in price not cheap but not expensive as to putting you into bankruptcy, they have a smokers box however it definitely needs to have work done as its current state makes it feel like death by smoke inhalation, most of the people that frequent the bar are level headed and not trouble starting. Clique is a last stop of the night for me and there are better bars around the city such as Speel on the east CBD and Prudence in North Melbourne.

The whole club was just full of guys.. Me and my friend were actually the only girls in the club and were there for literally 5 minutes (which we had to pay $10 for), to just be hit on by old creepy men. We literally didn't even want to buy a drink, we honestly arrived and then left again. What a waste of time and money. This place was creepy and gross a year ago and now it's just sickening. They even took the dance floor away and have now placed the couches and tables on the dance floor, leaving no place to dance, just gives creepy guys the opportunity to leer at girls from the side of the room..

Probably the absolute epitome of trashy bars in Melbourne, AND on King street. Yet i keep coming back and ending up here. The crowd and staff are worth it alone. The venue isn't much to talk about and the music's questionable at best. Bouncer's can be either amazing or garbage, hit or miss, but if nothing else is open, and you're over revs, this is actually a place worth coming to on King st. Maybe not even to dance, but definitely to have a chat. The people in here are always awesome.

Creepy as hell clientele. I was offered to go smoke something down the road with this guy because he lived close. Make sure you go with mates you trust and don't talk to the strangers here. I get chills when I walk past this place because of the numerous red flags I encountered on the way in, whilst I was there and desperately hustling my uber to take me away asap.

Used to be good, but new NZ security staffer throws his weight around. Lets mates in without question, but chooses not to let others in on a whim, even though he has to say 'intox' because he can't pronounce 'intoxicated' himself. Nice to have a job where you can pretend to be a big man, but when it undercuts the business that's actually all your problem.

Young Thieves lurk near around there , took a nap across clique bar, after grabbing nice kebab frm Queens Kebabs 12/3/2022 some kids from in there robbed me of about $3.5K of apple products -,- woke up to nothing in my pockets. Went back up Security couldn’t identify them… …

It's an honor for cities to have bars like this. Clique is the reason why 24 hour culture exists, these guys are prepared to do the late shifts that nobody else dares to. Great prices, tunes, 2 pool tables and a pinball machine. This place is carrying the carry ons

It a great place to relax with friends and everybody is so friendly and the the staff are amazing especially CJ she will have you in stitches with laughing . So tell your friends and enjoy the rest of the night here with us

Doesn’t even deserve 1 star. Security staff are sexist and single out people just to gain power and control where they can. Never have I seen someone be so unfairly treated by security. Will never step foot there again.

Amazing service everyone that works there is extremely friendly. They're people orientated, safety is taken serious and the management and staff ensure everyone has a satisfactory night. Well managed and fun

The best staff and greatest vibes. I pretty much live here. The dj's always try and cater for you and drinks are cheap. Pool tables and a smoking area. What more could you want?

Go there nearly every night after my shift for a beer at 4am. Never got turned down even if im in trackies. Good crowed sick staff. Security needs an upgrade though.

The general area is pretty grim but it's somewhere to go if you're desperate to continue the party at 4am. My advise, go home instead.
