Very exciting experience. The chocolate museum provided so many information about the history and origin of chocolate. There is a COLLECTION of mugs with different designs. Halfway though the museum, there a chocolate train that goes off chugging around a track. As a kid, it was lots of fun to take a break from reading information and watch the train go around while clicking all the sound effects together. After you passed the train, there's a 3D effect photo booth that looks like the town Vernice. The effect turned out amazing but I'm not quite sure why it's there. There's many candy achievements. There's our ex prime minister, Mr. Mahadir and his wife, made up of M&Ms. There's also Malaysia's twin towers made out of chocolate! YUM! The final thing of museum 2.0 are these funny mirrors that either make your head longer, legs thicker, head smaller or make you look non-proportional. Museum 1.0 has EVERYTHING about chocolate making and it was a very interesting read. At the end of museum 1.0, there was a chocolate making demo. We didn't manage to catch that but we managed to taste the milk chocolates that were made. YUMM, so delicious! Definitely will have to come back for a second round, just to watch the demo. Finally, there's gift shop where I bought a packet of gummies. Amazing experience and I have no complaints at all!

If you’re a chocolate lover, do check out this place. Even if you’re not, it’s a nice place to spend the morning with the children if you run out of ideas where to go. It is in the industrial side of Kota Damansara. The place is run by DR Group with businesses in airport retail. Here, there are tons of information about chocolate, the history of its origins, pioneers in the manufacturing of chocolates and health benefits. Take a stroll, enjoy the exhibits and take some photos. There’s a "chocolate" train which goes off at specific times. The train is fun to watch and the children would love it. At the end, you’ll see a chocolate Petronas Twin Towers. Head to the Chocolate Shop after you finish touring the museum. There is also a Chocolate Kitchen next to the Chocolate Shop where you can watch a chocolate making demo. At the end of the demo, you get to try the chocolate. We tried and it was really good quality chocolate with high content of cocoa. There are many varieties of chocolate sold at the chocolate shop. To end the trip, bring home some chocolates as souvenirs. One very odd thing though, was the toilet for visitors is outside the building, next to the security room.

Just an average experience. We got the tickets during MATTA fair. Only RM2 per adult. If normal is RM5 for adults n senior citizens. Went there today (Sunday), but not crowded at all. Ample parking space. The look from outside not interesting. Entrance can be confusing as theres 3 doors. Need to enter through Musuem 1 and go to the chocolate shop and pay for tickers at shop counter there. Staff there not so welcoming. My elderly father asked wheres the washrom but the staff replied in an unfriendly manner. Washroom is located at the guard entrance roon. Musuem 2 is quite interesting and informative but not much things to do. Pretty disappointed theres no cafe here. Wish there was some cafe selling chocolate desserts, drinks or ice cream. There is only chocolate shop. Price..its much like standard price outside but quite a good bargain if you pay the ones like 2+1 or buy 2 free 1. Love that theres some local-made chocs that I never knew before. And halal too. Can use card here. At about 2pm there was a choco-making demo and we were given free chocs pralines. Not sure on the schedule though. Overall is just an average experience. But do visit some day.

Good display material, however lack of amenities and visitor intuitiveness/customer-oriented. Here are my feedback/suggestions: 1. No dedicated counter for ticket purchase/redemption of pre-bought tickets at entrance, requiring visitors to walk to the back of the floor (choc shop) and join the queue of chocolate shoppers only to get the ticket to enter the museum. 2. No cafe for visitors/parents who need to wait for their kids/family members who joined the chocolate-making class (30-60mins wait), heck not even a decent sitting/waiting area is provided. 3. Understaffed - lack of guide or even person to respond to visitors' queries. 4. Misleading promotion - buy 2 free 1 for same price, weight of marshmallows didnt actually include marshmallows of different flavour (what is the point of buying in bulk?). Cashier didnt even bother to explain to shoppers when asked about the promotion/offer to maximise value/entertain request to change & contra the payment.

Normally I will give four to five star for such experience. All the staffs were very kind except the cashier (woman) who handle my purchase she was not polite. I am not sure what is her name but I am can find out from the receipt. This could be a perfect trip if not because of her. I would like to extend my special thanks to the boy who dressed up as a chef who was in charge of chocolate making process who volunteered to help my son through the chocolate museum 2.0 as my daughter refused to go in so I must company her outside unlike the cashier the chef is very understanding. Why would a customer who bought rm300 worth of chocolate refused to pay rm3 entrance? I already explained to her and all she insist was buy ticket buy ticket, I just ask her will the exit be the same place or different. Only people who usually take advantage of buying one ticket and use for more than one person will think other people also do the same like her.

What was suppose to be a pleasant choc educational visit turn to nightmarish interaction with choc museum guard, most rude guard in kota damansara who will shout and talk sarcastic at u when he open his mouth. Children felt put off to visit, i felt intimidated not safe to be there. My two cent, dont stop your car in front of curb near the guard house, to drop off, for 1 min or u get shouted at. No signage to drive inside gate for parking, no car waiting allowed near curb outside gate as he reserved the space for 2 buses, even though its public road. Dont get too near his cones on road or u get shouted at. Overall if u encounter him, u wont remember much about choc, only the best guard in whole kota damansara. Not worth to visit, wont reconmend even. Get your chocs at mart better

Not a huge museum! Regardless, it's a very very enchanting and informative place for those claiming chocolate crazy or lovers like me! As a huge fan of a bitterly dark chocolate containing 90% cocoa mass above, after visiting here, the information gathered and understood from the museum firmly reasurred me to go for enjoying as much as some quality dark chocolate as possible. No other sweet sugary ones! It's a must visit place for any ages and very well artistically designed and displayed. More importantly it's easy and straightforward in every explanation. I wish I had more time to read it all again. The staff is all smiles and very kind to let me know when it close and where to go after the museum 1 to museum 2 etc. Thanks again! I will for sure revisit again with my little son.

If you love chocolate and have nothing to do, why not visit the chocolate museum? The museum is split into two. Museum 1.0 is the free part and contains the early history of chocolate and pioneers of the chocolate industry. It also houses a shop that sells both local and imported chocolate at a discount. The shop is also where you can buy tickets for Museum 2.0, the paid portion of the museum. Tickets are a very affordable RM5 per pax. Museum 2.0 contains more interesting exhibits including a train model diorama, collectible cow figurines and strangely, even a hall of mirrors. It is a fairly small museum but well worth the entrance fee in my opinion.

My false for my high expectation. This museum is basically a very simple place. It has part 1 which is free. Inside, just like a gallery and origin of chocolate and the chocolate brand creator. And through out the end, you will see shop that sells chocolate. If you want to go to the part 2 museum, you need to buy the ticket from the chocolate shop. It cost you RM5 perperson. Inside the part 2, you will see more. It is just a short journey. No chocolate making but it is just like a chocolate information museum. Not much of chococolate being shown but more to the creator of chocolate brands. It was fun if you want to have a relaxing trip. I just expect more where I can touch and taste the chocolate. But overall it is good to learn new things.

This has been my least satisfying experience with a patenting workshop, as the staff were far from accommodating. Despite prior discussions about handling the ingredients carefully and not allowing for replacements. After all, it's only natural for children to make minor mistakes during their first attempt. While staff members have the right to decline requests, their refusal could have been conveyed with a more courteous tone. The attitude of the female staff member was commendable, but unfortunately, the male staff member's conduct was quite unacceptable.

We came again to place an order for more chocolates!!! Do you know that there IS a chocolate museum in KL? Not only there is one, but they also manufacture custom made chocolate there! If you want a special order type of chocolate for a birthday or wedding gift, this is the place to go. My wife has been coming here for years to get her orders, and the quality of chocolate they produce are really good and exquisite!!

We came to this museum without any high expectation. There weren’t a lot of visitor when we arrived . The exhibition is more of how ancient people discover cocoa. I appreciate the staff inside , they saw us and took the initiative to let us try their chocolate when we were peeking into the demo chocolate making place . It is certainly an interactive experience. We were lucky too that there was a demonstration of chocolate making . For those want to go for the cafe, it is temporary close for renovation .

  • Janie Martin

Wanted to take my kids out somewhere nearby where they would learn something and I was surprised to know there is a chocolate museum! We had such a good time, it was informative and the staff were really nice! We even had some chocolate to sample at the end. Go early as they have chocolate demo at 11am. If you go in a big group, they even let you make your own chocolate.

We were there while there is a kindergarten trip so we followed the group while the staff was explaining. The staff good at explaining it in a fun way towards kids. The session to go through the museum is short, unless you would like to read eveything from it. The chocolate shop serves variety of chocolates. Not much but okaylah, no need to go to Langkawi. But the space is kind of compact so it is quite suffocating when there were many people and kids inside. Parking is easy.

  • Ainur Azreen Azizul

Free Entry for Museum 1.0 but ticket charges RM5.00 to enter Museum 2.0. Wonderful experience for the kids. While you are shopping for the chocolate, your kids can enjoy their wonderful experience in creating their own chocolate bar. By the way there are sessions and we choose at 12.00pm. RM20 per person.

New experience, such an amazing moments because: 1. Get to know about chocolate history by a friendly Chocolatier (We got to taste real choco beans!) 2. See a process of chocolate crystalization made by Chocolatier 3. Chances to taste a free handmade chocolate made by Fidani, yummeh! 4. Shopping imported chocolate at the Choc Stop

An awesome educational experience for everyone especially chocolate lovers. A hidden tourist destination worth visiting which most people are not aware of. Very informative and friendly staff to greet & guide you. You will love shopping for local & imported chocolates at the Chocolate Galleria. Kudos to the Museum Crew!

It has a small museum telling the history of chocolate in front, a chocolate factory at the back, and in between is a chocolate shop with loads and loads of chocolates (what else? ) - some with good discounts, some made in the factory itself. No Willie Wonkas were found wandering inside though... …

Informative museum on the history of chocolate / cocoa as well as how the sticky brown stuff is made - albeit one that’s also kinda small... And seems like the main highlight is the shop where people tend to buy loads of chocolate products, like what we get in Langkawi!
