Probably one of the worst companies I have used to date. We hired them based on their stellar reviews online but if I had the option for 0/5 stars, it definitely would have been entered The week they began the project, we were delayed as they were finishing another project. They were supposed to start on a Monday and the job was to last about 1 to 1 and a half days. We advised them we were moving on the same week on Thursday and they assured us it would be done. Thursday morning we show up to find the job complete but they had not removed the bin. We called Chris Pearce from the company who had completely missed the fact that we were moving in on the Thursday and assumed we could use telepathy to move our furniture in off the street, as the driveway wouldn't be required. Aside from the bin, Cherry and Clark made absolutely no attempt to clean the debris from the project. We showed up to our new home covered in shingle particles and nails all over the property. Once the truck showed up to move the bin half an hour before the movers left, I also requested that they clean the debris left over. They sent someone who both could neither use a door bell nor a gate lever to access our property. Apparently, they came twice in one day to attempt the clean but had to leave as the unlocked gate was too hard to operate. The last and third time they came on the same day, I left the gate open for them so it was not too challenging as this was a major obstacle. This was at 8 30 at night and Chris insisted that I also assist with the clean by noting to this individual where the debris was located as though he could not see. This ended in that person leaving without cleaning, again. We called and complained again, and now a supervisor came out. I had to show him large pieces of whole shingles and about 15 nails missed in the first cleaning effort and he understood and finally completed this task. Once everything was complete, we received our invoice and it was incorrect. This was also given to their finance company who has called us multiple times to initiate the repayment process and is unsure why the amount is wrong. In closing, this was a complete nightmare that we are still dealing with weeks later
Our east Toronto row house turned 100 years old this year. Our neighbour on the end got the call early February from Cherry and Clark that a crew could be there to resurface the flat roof the following week. It was finally happening. After listening for a while to a tremendous amount of banging and scraping, curiosity got the better of me and I climbed up the ladder to see how they were getting on. Bill, the crew lead, greeted me with a hearty laugh when I asked, “how bad is it?” He handed me a chunk of sopping wet roofing felt from the edge of our side of the shared roof and pointed out that our side sat about 15cm above our neighbour’s roof line with at least seven layers and many tons of rotting, sulphurous material under the surface. It was clear at that point that our side of the roof also needed to be redone. We had been avoiding the work. It would be expensive, but we decided to join the project. We’re glad we did. It was worse than we had thought. Our sun tunnel skylight structure was also in an advanced state of disrepair, but even through a spell of inclement weather, Bill and his crew worked hard to get the job done without incident. The new roof membrane looks like it was fitted by a crew of the finest tailors and there was not a spec of debris left on the ground after they had finished. Thanks Bill, and your guys, we really appreciate the tremendous effort it took to return our home to a state of good repair.
I had my roof and eaves done and, after almost 7 years of living in this house, for the first time, there was water in the basement along the wall when it rained. I thought it might have been a fluke because the snow was thawing so it might have seeped through from somewhere but the fact is that now that it has been raining almost nonstop for a couple of days it happened again. I am about to contact the company and will update this review with whatever happens next. Update: Chris Pearce handled this matter first thing in the morning and a service tech came by to take a look. The service tech inspected the corner where the issue is taking place and then climbed up and walked around the whole perimeter. He deemed the job to have been done properly and said he found no issues. Next he noticed the sloping of the driveway at that corner to be improper, which may trap water against the foundation. Then he looked at a new downspout installed in that corner, stating that raising it slightly, extending the length of pipe and sealing the joints might help to move the water away from the wall and prevent backflow due to the shallow angle it now has. Overall I am pleased with the response. They were prompt in sending someone out, offered to remedy the downspout situation and I will attempt to improve the slope against the footing. If there are any further developments I will once again update.
I just had my roof stripped and reshingled by Cherry and Clark And the roof looks great. Two of my neighbours have already asked who done it and can they get their number. The shingles were delivered and set on the roof ready for installation but due to the weather they had to wait a few days. I had a leak start in the spare bedroom due to the very heavy rain so my wife phoned them to see if they could help and they sent a nice man with a tarp to stop the leak. We are in Scarborough and they are in Missisauga and there response time was fast, thank you. Cherry and Clark were there the next morning and the roof was completed by 4:00 pm and as they were leaving it started to rain, what timing. They also use GAF shingles that come with a 50 year warranty so I won't have any worries like my neighbours and I have had with the junk IKO shingles that did not last anywhere near the 25 years they were supposed to. Thanks again Cherry and Clark for an outstanding job and I hope you get my neighbours houses to reshingle as well ,and a special thanks to Bryan Baeumler for endorsing Cherry and Clark as it was your endorsement that lead me to call them.
I was thoroughly impressed. Their sales rep was informative and friendly, and gave me cost estimates for every possibility (as I wasn't sure if the sub-roofing would need replacing). Their pricing was better than the other companies I looked into, and some of those couldn't assure me that their crews were fully insured. Their office kept me appraised of schedule changes due to weather. The roofing team showed up early-morning as planned and set up their equipment, but waited until 8 AM to begin, so that they didn't disturb the neighbours too early. The foreman was cordial and informative, and his team were friendly. They set up tarps and plywood to protect the windows of both our house and our neighbour's. And they paid close attention to my concerns about keeping the neighbour's laneway clear of nails and shingles, so that their tenants' children were safe. (I went over with my magnet sweeper just to double-check for nails, and didn't find a single nail or scrap.) I'd happily recommend this company to anyone.
I went with these guys because they seem to do a lot of business in my area. They did the job promptly but left the shingle bin in my driveway overnight. Each time some other worker, ie satellite, chimney, they climbed down to ask who did my roof and told me what a terrible job it was. A few years later, the rain water came spurting out of the seams of my eaves to such an extent that it damaged the fitting screwing them to the brick wall. There was another area close to the house that was so bad I kept a bin to catch the rainwater overflowing from the eaves. I had the eaves cleaned. He retrieved 2 plastic water bottles and coils of nails and numerous pieces of the old shingle. In other words, the debris was backed up by their garbage. I'm not a roofer but I know enough that garbage shouldn't be left in the eaves. No matter their price, I wouldn't recommend them.
In a time when materials are scarce, scheduling is difficult and simply getting a response from a contractor can be difficult. I reached out to Cherry and Clark after reading some reviews on Homestars. I left a message (as I had done with multiple roofing companies), not really thinking I would get a response but hoping for the best nonetheless. To my surprise Don called me back rather quickly and scheduled an inspection for that week. Don showed up, did a full inspection (yes he even climbed up a ladder), was extremely professional and provided me with a quotation on the spot. Within 2 weeks our new roof was installed. The installation crew was tidy, fast and efficient, if it weren't for the fact that there was a new roof on our house I wouldn't have known anyone was there. Thank you Don and the entire Cherry and Clark crew for a job well done.
Driving home on Holiday Monday, we were amongst several cars aggressively passed by a very well decaled Cherry and Clark truck. The driver passed several cars on a solid line within a string of several miles of bumper to bumper traffic along a very hilly stretch of 2 lane road. As we approached a stale yellow, the driver accelerated and continued through the intersection, light turning red before they finished going through. As we caught up to the string of traffic several miles down the road, they again passed cars on a stale yellow while going through the next lighted intersection using the oncoming left turn lane as their personal passing lane. If they can't respectfully and safely operate on public roads, I would never hire someone to have respect for my property or to work in a safe manner.
Soffit, Fascia, Eavestrough & Siding project - whole house. Cherry & Clark Roofing has some amazing team members viz - Yogesh & Allan Initially started with Yogesh to discuss the project , price & negotiations. Allan - Cherry & Clark Roofing's contractor is one of a remarkable person I have dealt with. Great guy to work with, is understanding, accommodating with good work ethics & totally genuine. Doesn't stop till the work is completed to minute detail even if he has to revisit & honor a customer's viewpoint. Humble & an excellent human being. Hard to find such people these days - I wish him great success and Best Wishes. I hope Cherry & Clark Roofing can read this review. Allan is definitely an asset to your organization - Take care of him.
Estimator named Yogi came to our house after changing the time multiple times and complained about how busy our street was. He didn’t seem focused on our roof but the rest of our house. ‘The entire time he had a smug grin telling me while I was holding my son that ‘Your stucco wasn’t done right, your windows weren’t installed right’ ‘who sold this house to you?’. It’s remarkable how comfortable he was speaking this way to a prospective customer. He hardly talked about the roof. Handed me some marketing material on shingles and didn’t bother discussing it. Never received a quote either. We went with another company that made us feel comfortable. Would never recommend this company based on the bizarre and ignorant initial experience.
Roofing was completed promptly. Clean-up Excellent! HOWEVER, unknown and without consent, installers removed my internal electric roof fan (installed 1993) and whirlybird (installed 2018). Found out myself next day. No explanation given. Edit: At no time was any information given that existing hardware (vents, fans, whirlygigs) were to be removed, during the initial survey of the roof or during the entire process to finish. At my cost, I had a roof fan added, at the recommendation ofyour installer, as the upper floor now sees regular 90F temperatures (with the Air on) since the fan removal. What's this - no interchanging of venting methods!! Your firm recommended and installed the vents you removed!!
Mr. Don Amero, the Roofing Specialist with Cherry & Clark Roofing provided me with a fair and detailed estimate to replace the old shingles on my roof. He is an excellent communicator: he always returned all my phone calls, text messages and emails on the same day. It is clear that he is very knowledgeable about roofing and makes cost saving suggestions to the home owner. The job was done in a very short time after my deposit and the crew was polite, efficient and made sure they collected all the garbage into a bin. I would not hesitate to recommend Mr. Don Amero to anyone who needs to replace their roof. He definitely is a professional who knows “his stuff”.
Warning - if roof leaks, they will say it's not their fault!...If they make a mistake (which they did - flashing was not right to brick wall) and your roof leaks (called them for both leaks and they wouldn't do anything like try to figure out what was the source), and you hire a friend to confirm it is the roof leaking, they will finally find the mistake, fix it, and then blame the mistake on something else. To my face a representative said his company would split the cost of the repair with me, and then once he left, they ignored my phone calls, ignored my e-mails, questioned the cost of the repair, and then again denied any liability and refused to pay.
Thanks Reg and crew for getting another roof of ours completed in a quick and efficient manner. I had my roof done in May 2015 and recently came across a service issue. I contacted the Warranty and Service Manager (Chris) and he was really emphatic and sympathetic to my concerns and was really professional. He returned my emails in a prompt and timely manner. I went with Cherry & Clark because of their reputation, brand recognition and the reviews I have read. Cherry & Clark was the most expensive quote I got, but I’m happy I went with them because of the service I received after completion of my roof.
Fantastic service. In 2015 we had our three level home roofing completed by Cherry and Clark Roofing. In August of 2023 we noticed a water leak which we believed to be from the third level dormer. Made contact with Michele at Cherry and Clark on August 29, 2023 and on August 31, 2023 Peter Hachey and another gentleman attended our home. Both men went up inspected the dormer, found and repaired some issues. Covered by warranty great experience, great service. Highly recommend Cherry and Clark Roofing..
Cherry and Clark did a great job replacing my shingled shed roof. Given that this was a smaller job, they were the only company to respond out of the five that I had contacted. They squeezed in my job before winter despite their busy schedule and they followed through on their estimated timeline. They also added a vent for air circulation. Keep in mind that most companies would not install a vent for a shed roof. Price was fair, quality and service was excellent. Thank you Cherry and Clark!
My next door neighbor had his gutters done and as we live in a semi detached house they had to cut his side and replace his side only. In the process they pulled my gutters loose and damaging my gutter guards. The gutters were literally hanging a few inches off the wall with exposed screws. Good thing I was home to be aware of this so I asked them to fix it. The gutter was put back on but they did a sloppy job not securing the gutter guard causing the mesh to pull loose.
Cherry & Clark Roofing just did a complete reroof at our house. All the plywood needed replaced as we had a mold problem in our attic. They did a fantastic job, the crew was great, worked very hard & were very polite. They cleaned up great. We love knowing we chose a company that's been around for more than 50 years & will stand by their warranty. Would recommend to everyone! We will be calling them back in the Spring for Eavestrough & Siding.
No option for ZERO stars. Scam artists. Live in a semi did neighbours side and didnt meet our side (first rule to roofs Clarke) our brand new roof leaked. They just kept making excuses, and on top of that neighbours are asinine people so none of my problem leaking roof got dealt with. Save your money find a real company. Also if you're a woman watch for the older man he treats you horribly, and as if your IQ is zero.
We had Cherry and Clark replace our flat 2nd floor roofing as it was almost 20 years old. The team was very professional and personable and kept the whole area clean at all times. They explained exactly what their approach was going to be and the work was top notch. They were exceptionally skilled and even replaced all the downspouts. Excellent work from start to finish and will recommend them to anyone. A+
The warranty on the shingles is exceptionally good. The company sends someone out after the work has been completed for inspection and customer satisfaction. They send someone out who addresses any issues you might have and payment is not made until you are satisfied. I would highly recommend this company. We didn't get other quotes because of their excellent reputation and that was worth it.
Our roof looks amazing! Their team was prompt, cordial and listened to any comments or concerns we brought to their attention with nothing but professionalism and courtesy. They even cleaned up our property and made sure there were no loose ends thoroughly before they packed up. I would highly recommend working with Cherry and Clark Roofing!
I had some leaking gutters that would cause water to pool by our foundation, so I reached out to Cherry and Clark for a service call. They sent someone over the same week and the repairs were done right away. The next rainfall, all the issues were gone. Very happy with the results! I'm planning on hiring them again when I replace it all
Cherry and Clark replaced our roof earlier this year. Dealing with them from the estimator, Don, to everyone else in the office was a good experience. Cherry and Clark was not the least expensive but they were within my expected price range. The installers did an excellent job of replacing the roof. I would recommend Cherry and Clark.
Thanks again to the staff at Cherry and Clark for helping us again (twice this year) on our rental units in Mississauga. We have been using them for our shingle and flat roof replacements for the past 10 yrs and service has been great. Bill and Jose have been tremendous in taking care of the many flat roofs we have.
Cherry and Clark did a great job with our new roof last week. Over the years, they have also installed a flat roof over the garage and new eavestroughs throughout. I would highly recommend their company to anyone as they always provide excellent workmanship and professional, courteous service from beginning to end.
We engaged Cherry and Clark to complete the replacement of our roof. We found them professional, hardworking and efficient. They completed our job efficiently and quickly and cleaned up the site upon completion. We would definitely engage this company for future work. Great job!
Thanks for the great service on our rental units in Mississauga. Tenants could not be happier with the new roofs and the clean up. We have been using Cherry and Clark for past 10 years on our 4 buildings encompassing 200 rental units and service has always been exceptional.
Driving aggressively, cutting other drivers off to get a few cars ahead, swerving lane changes on QEW to get to the left lane only to exit two exits later, while driving a truck with your company name clearly visible, is not a great way to positively promote your business.
Cherry and Clark recently replaced our garage roof. They did a great job and at a very reasonable price! The guys were pleasant and respectful and cleaned up well after all was done. It was completed in half a day. Would definitely use this company again.
Had an excellent experience dealing with this company. They were on time and started working right away. No delays. Punctual and professional all at a reasonable price and excellent quality. I would definitely recommend their services...
Thank you very much Cherry and Clark Ltd for helping us with the roofing problem. Your expertise, your professional team demonstrated us commitment to high quality job, beyond of our expectation! Great experience working with you!
Cherry and Clark did an excellent job. I have replaced my shingles 3 times since owning this house. I have always chosen them to do the work. Long time business in the community and quality workmates them an easy choice.
Responded next day from initial call. Don Amero quickly analyzed the leak into the house and made arrangements for repair. Very professional and courteous. Pleasant experience. Will use again.
We had Cherry and Clark replace our gutters and downspouts as well as install leaf guards. Everyone we dealt with from the crew to the office were professional. Quality work, highly recommend!
I highly recommend Cherry and Clark Roofing for all your roofing and aluminum soffit needs! Extremely professional and courteous as well! Marc Venchiarutti Venchiarutti Builders
Rennel the office manager is beyond rude. She cuts you off, gives you attitude and hangs up on you when you ask to speak to someone else (twice!) . Horrible customer service!
The crew installing my roof was very professional and polite and the roof looks fantastic! They also did a great job cleaning up afterwards. Thank you Cherry & Clark Roofing!
Excited to have my roof done next week, Kevin the sales was great, and John and the guys that did the free patch work where even better! Could not ask for more right now.
Despite the fact it took them a while to get back to me, once they showed up, their service and quality was spot-on and they fixed my roof in the same day. Great Job ...
Great service, responsive, and clean. Searched around for almost 3 months and this was the most affordable in my price range...full replacement with tons of warranty.
I have had my roof done twice by Cherry and Clark Ltd. I recently had my eavestroughs replaced by them. The price was very competitive and the work was excellent.
Relatively small job - skylight replacement for which they treated like it was their only job - went above and beyond - exceeding all expectations
From estimate to job completion, these gents exuded professionalism and class. Would recommend and have recommended this to friends and family.
They were wonderful! Professional, on time, and they made sure that everything was clean at the end. Would recommend this company again!
Wish I read these reviews before I signed the ‘contract’ the eves did not turn out as well as I expected and they didn’t really care.
3 weeks of being promised an assessment...I give up. Couldn't imagine what the rest of the experience would have been like.
The best roofing company I’ve ever hired. Fair price, excellent service, and they were very neat. Would highly recommend.
Their drivers roll around on their cell phones and don't use their signals making the road extra safe for everyone else.
As someone who has now had their roofing work for 10 years on their house, I would never use these again.
The repair to our roof was done in a very timely manner and the service was excellent.
Don’t expect them to honour their warrenty.
