I arrived at your Mernda Village store this evening to pick up a script for my mum. I approached the far counted and a tall, tanned man wearing a silver bracelet served me. I gave him my mums details and he told me it wasnt there and to check the other chemist in mernda, I walked away, unhappy with his rude tone and called my mum. She confirmed that the script was dropped off at the chemist 11am. I approached the counter and he told me it wasnt there and proceeded to call the other chemist warehouse located in mernda, not listening to what I had originally said... and as per my explanation, it was not at the other chemist. He then came back to me with the unfulfilled script stating it was due to the inability to read the doctors writing. They apparently aimed to call the doctor with no response. Why was my mother not contacted in regards to this? it had been 6 hours. My sister who dropped off the script said that a young indian male with glasses served her this morning and found my mums details on the system and even the brand she gets. This issue with the inability to read the script was not flagged at 11am. Much to my dismay. I left with nothing but anger for the rude customer service. I went home and picked up my mum with an old script along with the new one. A young woman served us at the same chemist and explained the reason why the script was not fulfilled and the legal obligations held by chemists. The man whom I previously spoke to interrupted our conversation and was incredibly rude and condescending to myself and my mother. He told us that he could not even give us an 'emergency dose' to get her through the next day after we had told him that it had been a few days without medication. He continued to speak to us in an appalling manner making us feel belittled. The system at this store stated that my mum had this medication in the past and the handwriting on the script is not our issue as customers. This needs to be rectified with the doctor and calling once at 11.05am and leaving it for 6 hours is poor, allowing my mum to leave the chemist with nothing after we had 2 scripts that may not have met standards but were the same as their computer system is negligence. He refused us service, was rude and arrogant. I would be surprised if anyone I know will use this chemist warehouse store again. Absolutely appalled with the disgusting service by the pharmacist at the chemist today, I am ashamed for this company to think this is the face of chemist warehouse.

Avoid this Chemist Warehouse. The staff are not good at all, previous reviewers may be referring to the shop staff I am not. The Pharmacy staff are totally inept, they are unable to process more than one script without some major mistake (missing or incorrect brand products). Unlike any other Pharmacy they make one wait a minimum 10 minutes no matter what, this compounds so that there are sometimes an hour wait for two scripts. As a warehouse they only dispense the medications, REAL Pharmacists actually make up medications if needed to. The wait times the rude inquisitions about WHY one needs a particular medication. On many occasions the older customers are often treated with disrespect and have no help offered when trying to rectify a mistake the dispensary has made. A good example was they refused to fill out a script that was 'out of date' the employee was looking at the date the script was issued, this would not be a problem if they didn't throw it out and refuse to retrieve it. The GP has a record of when the scripts were issued so it's not a mistake on my part. We actively drive another 10 minutes to other Pharmacies even though this one is closer, that tells one everything one needs to know.

The rudest most incompetent pharmacist .. my daughter who is an adult not a child was extremely ill due to antibiotics and strong pain killers she was given via a fax to this pharmacy after root canal work . She doesn’t take medication for anything so taking 2 lots including the endone make her violently ill and in agony . A neighbour kindly went to this store to purchase some stematil for her .. the pharmacist wasn’t “comfortable” selling this to her although it is an over the counter medication .. The lady explained who it was for and she was the patient who earlier that day had received those 2 Scripts via fax .. happily filled an endone script for her but then wouldn’t sell her medication to try and help her to stop vomiting . She is not a doctor hence why she went into pharmacy . I work in medical and have worked in pharmacy prior to My current job for many years . Have never experienced such arrogance from a health care worker .. it’s a shame as chemist warehouse has great specials and in my area in stkilda we have lovely staff from the young assistants to the security guard and above .. she needs to be held accountable for her attitude in dealing with sick people .

I was very disapointed AGAIN with the cuatomer service of the Pharmasist team at this particular Chemist Warehouse. This is around the 4th time that I have had to call 2 times or more to get a script filled. This particular instance was by far tge worst. The first call I was put on hold after repeatedly spelling my name for the Pharmasist and then after 6min of holding I decided it would be quicker to call back. 2nd call I got a different Pharmasist who took my name and proceeded to take the details of the script I wanted filled. Suddenly I was put on hold with no reason. 7 or so minutes later another Pharmasist answers the phone who proceeds to start the whole process again. When I decided to inform the Pharmasist of my growing frustration at the situation he proceeded to raise his voice at me, say that the issue is with me, and tell me that I was threatening him. All while yelling at me and telling me that this will be on my file. As stated earlier there was a lot to be desired about the customer service from this particular Chemist Warehouse, and although it is the closest to me, I will be removing my scripts and taking them elsewhere.

The review by julia azzopardi is completely false and is an unexcusable attack on the lovely tall male pharmacist. I was there during the incident and i can vouch that the pharmacist was very calm, caring and compassionate. He was eexplaining that the script could not be filled due to their being no strenth on the medication. Without a strengrh the script is illegal. He would not be doing his job if he didnt flag this with the patient, which he did. He also tried to explain to the patient that there was no history there at that pharmacy and thats why they couldnt do an emergency supply. He also explained that they tried calling the doctor to no answer, and that they couldnt call tje patient becsuse there was no number to call as they were a new patient. From my own personal experience, all the pharmacists there are wonderful and due their job with utmost carw and compassion. Please ignore azzopardis absolutwly false and defamtory remarks. 5/5 chemist. Only chemist id go to again

I allowed myself 25 minutes to pick up some medication. Once I handed in the script, I was told that it'll take 10-15 minutes so I waited in line patiently. When it was my turn, I was told it'll be another minute so I moved to the side. I waited whilst others were being served but I was starting to stress as I was running out of time to pick up my prep from school. I told the lady at the counter that I really needed my items (which by now were ready!!) and with tears in my eyes told her I needed to leave asap to pick up my child from school. She snapped at me telling me I need to wait even though, if she had one ounce of compassion, she could've used that 2 seconds to hand me the medicine! She spitefully continued to serve others knowing I needed to leave asap so I walked out crying without my items. I had to return later that afternoon after I picked up my child. I'm not sure why it's so difficult for some people to feel empathy. I won't be returning here.

No chemist Wearhouse staff is well educated or trained to guide right towards the most effective medication. I asked the staff that I want to buy Difflam sore throat spray because I have severe pain in my throat and I am COVID Negative but the pain is so bad. That is why I googled which spray could be better for me and it suggested Difflam Forte Sore Throat Spray. But as a chemist Wearhouse staff they should I have told me to buy Difflam Plus Sore Throat Spray because this is the one that heals pain more effectively. I am not sure if Difflam Forte Sore Throat Spray will be that much effective for the pain. Not only this, I once had an allergic reaction and I showed my allergy on my arms to the staff at mernda and in mernda junction. Both stores gave me different medicines. Mernda junction employee said that the ointment I got from other mernda store is not used for the allergy you have. What a waste of time and money.

Unprofressional and rude pharmacists with very bad communication. Needed to get some documents certified on Sunday- called ahead and was told to come before 3. Went there at 1 and was rudely told they dont do certifications on Sunday and come back Monday. Went back monday and was told they only do 2 documents and I had more than that. They then reluctantly agreed to do it but kept me waiting for 45 minutes ( despite having signed the document, they didnt bother giving it to me and kept me waiting the extra time). Totally unprofessional to waste peoples time. If you dont want to do your duty by helping to certify documents then just be upfront and tell us when we call that you do not do certifications and dont waste peoples time!!

  • Tidanut Tengmaneewan

My wife spends hundreds in this store. I went into get the pharmacist to witness one document on a Tuesday at midday (thinking it would be quiet). I was told it would take 50 minutes before they would even look at one document. I asked when would be a good time to come back and I could hear pharmacy staff saying 'We don't have to do it at all'. I replied 'No you don't but it is a good customer service for someone who spends hundreds in your store'. Very disappointed with their customer service. The Pharmacist at the Chemist Warehouse where I used to live (Epping Dalton Rd) would witness up to five documents with a smile. That is real customer service so I might go back there from now on.

Absolutely disgraceful poor excuse for a pharmacy. I have never met such rude staff in my life. When someone asks for no substitute it means NO substitute... to give my husband the wrong medication as what they have supplied do not work and he tells them this, they give it to him anyway. So you have to go all the back to be told no sorry we cannot swap them you'll need a new script!!!! What absolutely incompetents because of their inability to follow instructions we are having the inconvenience of having to go back to our Doctor. We will not be returning ever!! I will happily travel 10 minutes further out to have polite friendly staff at a more capable Pharmacy...

  • AMAN

Went to pharmacist with prescription Being asked will you wait here I said how long you reckon being told 10 minutes I said ok I wait here they said no budger but we will call your name Waiting on chair where they call names Heard nothing for about an hour In the end went to counter when started getting bored and asked for my prescription they gave me straight away I asked why didn't you call me and she said I called you 2 times and you didn't hear while I was sitting right next to her Maybe need loudspeakers to call out names if they can't give budger or call loudly Bad experience I waisted an hour and if I wouldn't have asked maybe lost whole day

  • Darren Paynting

This is by far the most pathetic Chemist Warehouse around the area as far as I am concerned. Over the journey I have had prescription stuff ups, rude attitudes from staff, and a consistently below poor customer service issues that have never been any different. Today I had no choice but to use this chemist again and my in store experience was beyond pathetic. Whoever has the power to make positive change in this store obviously doesn’t consider customer service to be a critical part of the business. Mernda Junction store is so much better in all aspects and I will be doing everything in my power not to use Mernda Villages again.

  • HelloKelly 01

I had to put in a special review today. Not only was the store jamming with people, your team member Jade took the time to help me out with a new makeup product. She knows her stuff and provided an excellent recommendation when she could have just pushed me along to serve the next person. I'm a regular customer of this store and have never had any issues with the staff. Yes, sometimes you need to wait for scripts and checkout, but guess what, that's because there are so many customers, not because the staff aren't doing their job. Keep up the good work. I know it often goes un-noticed, but you really are doing a great job :)

  • Mahakaal Vinasham

Today I went to get a stat declaration witnessed. two pharmacist and an assistant standing and talking among themselves. When I asked to get it done they said sorry we are short staffed today. This is a poor level of service to community in need. If short staffed then what a customer going to do about it. More satisfactory response I would imagine if she would of said we are busy and there might be a wait . It literally takes 5mins to witness a stat Dec. I went to other chemist warehouse and it was no problem at all. Please do not visit this warehouse if you expecting some quality service. Thanks Rav

  • K T

This is the worst Chemist warehouse I have ever visited. I have used chemist warehouse for ages in several cities and states, but I have used this one recently few times and its the worst ever. Customer service is pathetic. Staff are rude, specially the customer service. I think because its chemist and people have no choice but to come, they don't care. just asking for a small advice, they treat you like you are asking for huge favor. I hope they can train staff to be more respectful and polite to the least.

  • Felix Brown

Mernda Village, terrible store layout, messy, stock laying around, staff are generally serly with extremely poor customer service skills. I have used this store simply for convenience until today... took a faulty Shwartzkopf Mousse back for replacement... was told definitely not without receipt... they know me as a regular... I promptly picked up my hard copy prescriptions and seriously will NEVER step foot in that store again... will find a small non chain pharmacy even if have to travel out of the area

  • M P

This is by far the worst chemist warehouse I've ever visited and now will only visit out of shear desperation nothing else... Constantly made to feel like I'm a criminal not only will I need to wait 30 minutes for scripts I need to show I'd for my partners nausea medication when I handed in the script 30 minutes earlier.. Maybe if your pharmacist would stop talking about how "mohamed took the keys home" and actually filled the scripts you could turn your 2.8 stars to something better..

  • Dannii Jovanovska

No customer service what so ever Asian pharmacist said to me to speak more nicer to her and she will help me out I called head office for them to hand out my number to the rude manager from there to call me and say that her staff don’t talk like that and she has a witness another worker yeah right work mates can’t stick up for each other don’t go there only one register working there ever but there got two more just sitting there rubbish

  • John Bedford (Pockets)

My wife went there today to get a script for me. I get home and they are different tablets that i always get. My wife calls them up and they tell her to just tell me to take them. They are not doctors like they think they are. I had to take the tablets back and demand for my money and script back. Only one young girl would help me. They are the most incompetent people i have ever meet. They need to hire real staff.

  • joe ciorra

Customer service by Faye in the pharmacy area was an absolute disgrace l was told there would be a 45 minute wait for a stat dec to be signed which l said it’s only a signature l shook my head and walked away but she went on mocking me by laughing with another customer as l walked away as a customer since it opened very poor form Faye and if you were my employee you would be reprimanded for your terrible service

  • Kam Singh

Wait forever and rude pharmacists. I went there last night, my prescription was expired simply because it was a year old but there was no expiry date on it. Pharmacists told me "In Australia" prescription expires legally after a year. Ok thanks for letting me know but what do you mean by "in Australia". I came from India 14 years back and don't know any better lifestyle than Australian. I felt it was racist!

  • Cate Parsons

Located next to the Woolworths in Mernda village, this store conveniently has street entry as well as entry/exit directly to Woolworths. This store is a little small and cramped though. It is difficult to negotiate your trolley around other shoppers and navigation of prams and wheelchairs in this store is equally challenging. Staff are usually nice. Store of often very busy.

  • Deepen Subedi

Tooo slow service with prescriptions. The wait time is half an hour, something I have never seen or experienced before. It would be even quicker if you went to Coles Building or South Morang to buy that. If you read and value the feedback, Please, think about the custumer seriously, hire qualified employees who will be able to complete their tasks efficiently and ontime.

  • Stella Bella

I would just like to personally thank Alina for holding some products for me. They were completely out of stock all across Melbourne of this item & I called Mernda Chemist Wearhouse & spoke to Alina was more than happy to hold them for me. I drive from Reservoir , on the way I had a flat tyre & arrived just as Alina was closing the door. Excellent customer service!!

  • James Addison

Very slow service. Lines to drop off scripts. Lines to pick up medication then into another line to pay. Chemist warehouse app doesn't work. Took three requests to add my script to it. Then it doesn't keep track of repeats. Orders placed through the app were ignored and processed as normal when arriving at the chemist. They get 2 stars because the prices are great.

  • Huss Ali

WORST customer service experience ever, got refused entry because I wasn't wearing a mask, even though I have a medical certificate and I was going to get medicine for my Hay-fever and asthma, I'm a essential worker for coles and I don't have to wear a mask at work due to my health condition, very bad service and attitude never going there again,

  • Rumple4skin

DON'T SHOP HERE! This is by far the worst pharmacy I have ever had the misfortune to patronize. Maybe the worst in Australia. The staff are incredibly officious, inept, callous, surly and just downright rude. Remember folks, Laurimar pharmacy is superior in every respect and only 5 minutes away. I only wish a zero star rating was an option.

  • Felix Brown

Visited this chemist on Saturday 5th June and was extremely disappointed to see they were not policing the bar code scan on entry, I spoke to one woman who roamed the store without checking into the high risk environment for those who are already unwell and filling prescriptions....this is not good enough and Vic Health should take action

  • Evelyn Searl-Maher

My experience was so shocking and distressing it actually raises serious alarm bells!! This particular store in my experience has all the red flags that are consistant with a ticking time bomb and it's only a matter of time before it blows. Highly negligent in my experience and not a place I'll ever do business with ever again.

  • V Lee

Thank you for the friendly service, my dad's script was ready in time. I was also so relieved to be able to get an inhaler from here for my allergy. Best thing about this Chemist Warehouse is that it is located just opposite Woolies so we could do our shopping there while waiting for the script to be ready.

  • Penny Coleman

There are so many mixed reviews for this store. Honestly I have had positive and negative experiences depending on the staff I deal with. They have drastically improved since a few years ago. Only gave three stars due to the very long wait time for prescriptions to be processed.

  • Brent Lynch

Absolutely hopeless customer service. Dropped off a script was told it would be half an hour wait, waited for half an hour went to pick up script and was told it was expired. Why didnt the staff tell me that when I dropped it off. ‍♂️ Thanks for wasting my time. …

  • MegaAAAAbbbbCCCC

Don't bother with this store if you want to get any kind of customer service. Was treated like a criminal when trying to get my chronic pain meds. Went to Chemist Discount Centre down the road and was treated far better. Sorry CW, you've lost my business for good.

  • B. A.

Very poor service, script disposal staff/pharmacists can’t figure out if script been disposed or not, I was told I have no script on the system (sent by my GP) for a period of two days, then suddenly the script was disposed on day one, well done LEIGH!!!

  • CJ Gribben

Unexpectedly long wait times for scripts, double what I was told to expect. Cramped store; I understand the need to stock items, but I'd hate to be someone with a walking frame or wheel chair. Staff are friendly and helpful, though. Edit: Fixed typo

  • Tania Barker

If I could give a minus I would.... Absolutely disgusting service comes from this store & especially from the pharmacist.... to make matters worse I then had to go to the other store OWNED BY THE SAME OWNER & staff member Lina was even

  • Jesse Free

the worst pharmacy i have ever been in Australia, rude staff, make you feel like you own them money, very very bad customer services. perfume no stock, staff tell lies and try to sell you vitamins expiring in one month with full price.

  • Sourabh Jain

Posting from the store right now. Nothing to do with the store and staff. But, they need to improve their timing. I just ordered a prescribed medicine which comes in tube like a toothpaste but I have been asked to wait for 25 minutes.

  • Tanya Tanti

If I could give minus stars I would have!!! I have been a customer of this chemist since it opened however after having them refuse to fill a script that I had just received from my doctor and needed to

  • Ben Leslie

Why do a bad review? You must have no life and are very unhappy. This chemist is always good. Script can take time, but that’s true of all chemists. I will continue to go to this great place. …

  • Neil “Godfather Toa” Garbutt

Terrible service, gotta call for some prescription before picking them up, it's the first time I had to ever do that. I always just go pick them up over the counter. I think it's a stupid idea.

  • sarbir sigh

Really really bad experience. Does not even say sorry on their big mistakes. Pretend like nothing happen and show you attitude instead of saying sorry. I wish I could give them zero star.

  • kamyar sadeghi

Never visit this pharmacy. You must wait for more than an hour to receive medication and endure the rude behavior of the staff. I think only the pharmacy in hell would be similar to here.

  • Moni L

Long wait for scripts over 40mins. This has been on about 5 visits and over a matter of months not just during the height of covid and staff shortages. I’ve had to start going elsewhere.

  • Joydeep Ghosh

One of the most ill mannered manager who works at this chemist Wearhouse. Who is a bloody racist and don't know how to talk with his customers. Shame on him and his family.. …

  • Geoff Fleming

Absolutely pathetic customer service, need to give them your life story even though a doctor has prescribed the medication. Will not return to this chemist. The place is a joke!!!

  • Barnet

The only chemist that want you to announce in front of everyone the name of the medication you are picking up. No respect at all for people's privacy. F#@king disgraceful

  • Prince Kuriakose

Please improve the wait time, it is really painful to wait 30mins to get a medicine in this fast and modern world. Waiting .....waiting.... Let me have more patience...

  • Robyn Richardson

This chemist is good, staff helpful. It is a pity people only write bad reviews. Maybe think of positives instead of negatives. Leigh and his staff are fantastic.

  • Alan Williamson

This place has a huge range, but tightly spaced aisles combined with crowded and visually busy presentation makes it hard to find what you're looking for.

  • Andrzej Wegrzyn

They will have what you want. But it's too small and you have to hunt the staff to find it.
