Rented a car from Pula airport for a week and was very careful and apprehensive as this was the first time i had rented a car. I was surprised that they didnt even ask for a deposit. the lovely lady behind the desk explained that, as we were going for the cheapest model car they had they didnt feel it was necessary to deprive us of money we could be otherwise spending for our holiday. Despite this i made sure to take plenty of pictures of every dent and scrape of the car, however when we returned it there were absolutely no problems even though I actually returned it with slightly less fuel than we got it with. they weren't very picky with little details as it was obvious we had taken care of the car. The car itself did the job just fine, it had air con which worked and ran just fine. The price was also very reasonable especially considering we hadn't booked ahead and had just turned up on the day. Overall i am very pleased with the experience and would recommend to anyone.

The provider is the worst I have ever experienced!!! Upon arrival, the gentleman at the counter was already listless and unfriendly, but the worst was the car. The hubcaps were attached with cable ties. The hair from the previous driver was stuck to the headrest and the tank was quarter full. Overall, the car was in poor condition, dirty and outrageously expensive! We should have rejected the car from the beginning. The car could also only be paid in cash! We drove off then nevertheless with the car. After about 3 hours, a warning light for the brakes came on. We contacted the rental and insisted on an exchange of the car. The gentleman said it was only an unimportant indicator light... unbelievable!!! In the end, the car was fortunately exchanged and we got a reasonable one. Nevertheless, the whole service of this provider is a cheek and a large part of the reviews here are certainly fake! So ATTENTION! This is a very lousy provider!!!

Upon returning the car there was no one at the office. They didn't get the time right. After waiting for 20min (no phone # as I am not from Croatia), I went home to call. No sense of remorse or apology for the time I wasted, just told me to come at a later time. Car was dirtier than those from other companies, but the price was cheap, so you get what you pay for. Hefty 1000 euro deposit also if you don't take their insurance. It doesn't say that when you book though so be aware. The tank isn't full when you get the car (first time I've ever seen this, only 1/4 full for me). Don't make the mistake of filling up too much at the beginning. They'll only scoff at you if you ask for some type of refund. They don't care at all, so leave them with less gas than what you started with, save your money.

Enorm behulpzaam en persoonlijk! Onze reservering bij een ander auto verhuur bedrijf bleek bij aankomst niet te bestaan. flink balen, gezien wij tijdens ons verblijf niet zonder een auto konden (ivm het reizen van plek naar plek). Bojan Tomic, de eigenaar van Carpe Diem Rent a Car, heeft ons enorm goed geholpen. Nadat hij alle opties uitgezocht en afgebeld had, hij ons aangeboden had weg te brengen naar de Plivice meren zodat we in ieder geval op onze eerste bestemming zouden zijn, kwam het verlossende woord; een beschikbare Fiat Panda. Na het lange wachten zijn we blij vertrokken en hebben alsnog kunnen genieten van onze geplande vakantie !!

The very best car rental company in Croatia !! We got a car from Carpe Diem car rental this summer without any problems even if we asked for one in the middel of the main season. Super friendly personell, super fair prices, no hidden whatsoever, everything went just perfect! Nice and new cars, easy completion. Puno hvala to Bojan & his Team! Just forget about all the other rental stations, in Croatia we never will rent a car from someone else than Carpe Diem anymore !

Friendly and Reliable. In the height of summer, renting a car was problematic in Croatia with Avis and Hertz all sold out of cars but Bojan and his partner were so incredibly helpful and were able to source a car for my partner and I to drive round Croatia for 10 days. The drop off in Split was not a problem and Bojan stayed in good contact throughout the trip. I would definitely book with him and his team again and would recommend all to do the same. Hi! All the rent car process was perfect!! The other companies hasn't cars for me, and they give me a good car the same day. It was very easy to contact them if I had any problem. They give me all the insurance and all was okay! And they made for us really easy for the give away of the car! If I come back to Croacia, I will rent a car with theme another time for sure! Very wonderful business. Guys in the front are more then experienced and try their best offering the best cars for their customers. Customer service is truly amazing in how they handle their tourists and made me and my family enjoy our time on vacation. I strongly recommend renting a car by these people, they will not disappoint coming from an American.

Rental seemed a bit more expensive but was still the cheapest compared to other companies and it went pretty smooth. We were renting 2 cars where driver of the other one didn't have credit card (just a debit card) and staff advised how to do so - with additional "insurance" which seems to not be so overpriced as in other companies :D
