Firstly I would like to say that I have used Carnovale Pharmacy for over 40 years and after my last visit there I will not be going back. I had a very upsetting experience with the duty pharmacist last Tuesday. My son had been diagnosed with shingles at an early morning doctors appointment and had dropped his script off around 9am and was advised that it would not be available for collection until 4 pm. Around 10.30 my son called me to see if I could ring around for another pharmacy that may have the medication he required in stock as he was feeling progressively worse as the morning was passing. I called Carnovale’s and explained my situation to a lovely girl and asked her the name of the medication so that I could call other pharmacies to check for stock in store. She was very helpful and clearly understood the situation. I did find a chemist and they informed me that the medication would be ready for me to collect. I called into Carnovale pharmacy to pick up the script that had been left and spoke to the girl that I had been conversing with in relation to the situation and she was about to give me the script when the on duty pharmacist asked her what she was doing to which she told him. He then turned to me and said that I couldn’t have the script as he had ordered the medication in, to which I replied that he could cancel the order. He then said that my son had been told it wouldn’t be ready until 4 and I tried to explain to the pharmacist that my son was feeling very unwell and wanted to start on the medication sooner rather than later and that surely the medication could be used for someone else at some stage. He was adamant that he wasn’t giving me back the script unless I paid for it so I called my son son to see what he wanted me to do and he said just pay for it as he needed it. I reluctantly paid the $44 and then the pharmacist still refused to hand over the script and told me to come back at 4pm. I was incensed. I returned home furious and couldn’t believe the treatment from this “ professional”. I called the Victorian Pharmacist Association to lodge a complaint against this person which I did but I was also advised this was completely unacceptable. I then returned to Carnovale’s to confront the pharmacist in question and advised him of my rights to which he replied that he would have to pay for the script himself. My answer to him was do what you have to but I want the script and my money back. In the end I was given the script and money back but it was an unnecessary experience that was not warranted nor pleasant. I should also mention that I went to another pharmacy nearby and collected the medication that was $5 cheaper than what I had been charged at Carnovale’s. I have told my many family and friends of the terrible treatment by this individual and everyone of them has said they will not use Carnovale Pharmacy again.

Very rude staff and over priced. I went to buy a medicine with hospital prescription and I didn’t take the medicare copy with me, thinking that patient copy would work. At the counter an elderly lady appeared and asked for the medicare copy, I realised my mistake and said “oh! I didn’t bring it I thought patient copy would work”. Instead of giving me some idea about the situation, she asked me a question in a rude voice “why would they give you another paper if you didn’t need it?” I found it rude but thinking that she might be trying to be funny, still confused I said “it was written patient copy in one and medicare copy in another so I thought patient copy would work.” To my surprise she again repeated the same line “ why would they give you another paper if you didn’t need it?” Then i realised she was behaving rude. She didn’t mention a word trying to explain the situation rather she made fun of my situation. She was loud and people in the pharmacy were looking at us. It was like making fun of my confused situation. I was not even insisting to get my medicine. That was horrible experience. I was disappointed and i repeated my answer too and said “well it was written patient copy on this one that’s why I didn’t bring the other copy” but there was no basic sense of respect in that lady and she for the third time repeated the same question to me “ why would they give you another paper if you didn’t need it?” then i said “I don’t know” she in very rude voice said “If you don’t know, you have to bring it.” I said “it was written medicare copy in it” she said “but you don’t bring it to medicare”. I said “well I don’t know that”. She for the fourth time, still without explaining the situation to me repeated the same question rudely “ why would they give you another paper if you didn’t need it?” Then I realised there is no ethics and basic sense of good behaviour in this person and left the pharmacy. Never in my life stepping in that place again. I was not insisting to get me medicine or making any requests like that. She simply tried to mock my situation, picking up on my simple confused situation. She could have simply explained my confusion in the beginning rather than repeatedly asking a question. Maybe the owner and management of the store doesn’t care how the staff is behaving with the customers or how they have been treated.

I have just had the most humiliating experience at this pharmacy. I am recovering from surgery and needed to have a quick chat with someone about the difference between two types of wound dressings. Not being an expert in post-operative wound care, I was unsure what the difference was between two products and which would be best for me. I was ignored for a full 10 minutes whilst I was looking at the boxes. A staff member then walked past me and as I was about to say 'hi, can you please help me?', looked me straight in the eye and kept walking. Then, when I went to the counter, the person there held up the two boxes and simply read the packages to me. Very. Slowly. When I finally made my decision and went to pay, I was left standing at a counter with 5 people working behind it - no other customer in the store - and ignored for another 10 minutes because I didn't realise I couldn't pay at that counter. My mistake I guess. When I did go to the other end of the store to pay, the woman who ignored me in the aisle literally snatched the items off me to scan them. Then placed my package at the edge of the counter closest to her where I couldn't reach. I have never been so obviously in physical pain, needing professional advice, and so poorly treated. It doesn't matter that I'm in my pyjama pants! I shouldn't need to be in a suit to be treated with respect, or do I need to disclose my bank balance to be treated with dignity in Yarraville? There is a Soul Pattinson a little further down Williamstown Road, and a Chemist Warehouse in Footscray. Go elsewhere. You will be humiliated, embarrassed, ignored and spoken down to if you go here.

Very concerned with this policy. I’m immunosuppressed (cancer treatment) had Covid and my doc ( from Peter Mac) faxed prescription for antivirals (after hours). I was told by Carnovale that I had to pay full price until they received the original script which my doc was posting the following day. Cost me $1100 before I could get the medication. Fortunately I had a credit card that I could use. I am very concerned that someone older, sicker and more vulnerable and unable to afford the fee would have potentially been put in a life or death situation waiting until the next day (12 hrs later) before they could obtain an original script AND then take it there before they could access the medication. Furthermore when my wife and I went back to get the refund after they had received the original script, they were unable to reverse the transaction. So they have a system to make you pay but don’t have a system in place to refund. After 1/2 hr of wasting my time, they gave me cash. I’ll be investigating this further to see if this policy is legal. Despite telling me that the proprietor would call us, we still haven’t heard from them. Anthony ( Ray) Pereira (OAM)

The antibiotics (in liquid form for my 2 year old) I picked for my daughter lasted on 2 and half days. It was supposed to be enough for the 7 days she was meant to take it for as was stated on the bottle and was advised to by the Doctor.Clearly the pharmacist is unable to administer correct measurements which is a real worry. He said they didn’t put enough water in the bottle. I told him I was very concerned about this as this clearly shows she was taking a lot of medicine in a concentrated form!!!When I spoke to the Pharmacist he admitted that. Never apologised once. So I had to quickly go and get another one which was not easy as I was quite unwell. Even when I went to pick up the medicine initially I found the lady to be rude and a bit short with me. The cost was $27 which is a lot lot more than other pharmacies. I certainly do not recommend this pharmacy whatsoever.

If I could rate this pharmacy 0 stars I would!! My partner and I went out of our way to head to this pharmacy to have a Stat Dec signed by the pharmacist. When we got there we were rudely told by a female staff member that they were too busy to sign any today. We asked her how long this process would usually take as we could see only 1 other customer in the store. The pharmacist then interrupted us by saying 1-3 minutes and told us we’d have to come back another day as he has no time at all to fit in a 1 minute signature. We asked if we could wait as we really needed it signed on this day and offered to come back later. He was disgustingly rude to us and refused to help. I would not come back here if I were on my death bed. Pathetic service by incredibly rude people. They should get another job if they don’t have ability to service customers professionally!!!

Nurse on site call Russel was really good & always willing to support. I had some splinters in my hand. As per my GP it’s need to be removed in a hospitals by plastic surgeons. Waited in emergency for 4 hrs & I was told they can’t do it as it was too deep. Was told to come in a week time for a surgery & sent home with antibiotics. On my way home from hospital went to Russel, he manage to take all of the splinter out in a matter of 15 minutes. He was very professional with his work and very confident with what he do. He is a very valuable asset to our community & I hope departments of health will recognise his work, as I’m hear lot of good feedback from our seddon community.well done Russel keep up the good work.

The pharmacist quan handled my request very rudely. He Has no ethics no professionalism and no respect for their customers even though that’s is their job. He was too busy having a conversation with the counter lady then help the customer. I had to wait for the conversation to finish before he would come out and help me. Even though there was no one in the store. He was annoyed because I asked him for help about my pregnant wife while he was having his conversation. When I asked him about about my wife’s situation and His answer was that what Am I doing here I should go to the doctor but it was my doctor who suggested me to go local chemist. I felt very disappointed and hopeless and helpless.

  • Joo Eey

Staff was very rude and I was charged more that double the price for a box of antibiotics (paid $10.9 at chemist warehouse and was charged $22.05 here). I showed them the box I had and requested for the same product, the box had the price on it but they just threw the box away without asking me. I went back and questioned and requested a refund after I realised I was charged this much and was told they won't give me a refund because I walked out (for 2 minutes). Also was told that I should have refused to pay instead. I will never go back here even if it means I have to drive to another chemist for better service and cheaper price on the exact same product.

  • Ilham Bakesy

The pharmacist was extremely rude and arrogant, middle aged old man. I went there before work with my toddler as it’s a 24hrs pharmacy. I explained to the pharmacist that my child had conjunctivitis and I needed eye drops to help her. He rudely said no and that she’ll be fine in a few days. He also said only one eye was red when I can clearly see it was both eye, she has had before. He was extremely rude and know it all if it wasn’t so early in the morning I would have gone to my local chemist who are professionals with great customer service. Needless to say I walked out of there without anything. If I could vote this zero star I would. Horrible man

Never have I ever had such caring and understanding communication from a pharmacist. I believe her name was Jenny Gordon. Usually I have had very rushed and gruff service. I understand if a place is busy it may be frustrating but Jenny definitely went above and beyond, even while the place was flat out. I even witnessed her dealing with abuse from a hostile customer arguing over a matter of cents and she handled it with grace and poise never raising her voice or resorting to being rude or blunt and kept a non condescending smile and docile tone. If you ever have the pleasure of being served by Jenny I'm sure you will understand.

24 Hour Pharmacy, easy to get to, easy to find, and if you are in need of a chemist during obscure hours, it's a godsend! Very knowledge and friendly staff, easy to talk to and they are more than happy to help out as much as they possibly can, even with questions posed as if you're a zombie asking them to explain - no complaints, very nice staff, and I'm super grateful for the help they afforded me at a time when I couldn't find anything open, love their work, thank you - yes obviously I recommend, and I recommend at any hour not just the 10pm through the night to 9am - can't thank them enough for the help they provided!

  • Dim Geo

Really disappointed tonight. After being a regular customer for over 5years they refused my medication as scripts had been used up. I understand their rules but I’m travelling overseas and just ads to the stress. As they store my scripts, I was unaware I didn’t have any left as they did not advise me of this last time I was there. Even though they are overpriced I will never be going there again. Was happy to support local business but they obviously don’t care at all. You would have thought they would have looked after me and they would have received a new set of scripts upon my return.

  • Clive Heritage

My script i purchased was faulty and instead of refunding my $75 i was told i had to wait 2 weeks as the Pharmacy didn't have any more stock! 3 weeks later I returned to the Pharmacy and was told it would be another week as there was delays with COVID. My condition got worst as a result of another 3 week delay, when I finally recieved my medication the Pharmacist opened the pack and gave me just over half of the contents not a full script!! Disgusting customer service and absolutely no customer care!! I will never return to this place!

Not at pharmacy but nurse service there -Ann working evening 20th aug 2018, shared a personal anti vaccine opinion when I went in with my rashy baby. Unprofessional and against nurses and midwife position on vaccines. When I called to get her name to make a complaint i was put on phone with her she got angry and hung up. I called again and someone at pharmacy hung up. Finally i explained to someone what had happened they gave me an email. Unprofessional, dangerous behavior. Do not recommend if you actually want medical advice

  • Brett Hocks

This was my usual pharmacy, it was ok, however I will be going elsewhere after this morning. The woman pharmacist (short brown hair) was so incredibly unprofessional, not only to myself but to others as well; eye rolling, pulling faces and snapped at a woman who was in front of me being "served" in regards to computers being off and "what do you want me to do about it?". Absolutely shocking behaviour - it's completely put me off going back. Woman behaved like a sulking child in HER place of work! Unreal.

  • Dianne Johnson

Not the best place to go if you expect the assistants to provide you with clear advice like other chemists do. They are convenient as they’re open 24/7, the security guard was friendlier than the person behind the counter. When I presented my script to the female behind the counter, she asked me if I had taken it before. I told her no. When it came to giving me the medication and paying for it, she failed to advise me I needed to take it with food, luckily the Dr had told me this.

  • Google

I am so disappointed with this pharmacy after I the service I received today from a girl pharmacist, I will never be back again! She was very unpleasant and rude and doesn't seem to know much, and on top of all that, the Asian assistant was so loud, I don't need other people in the store to know my business, I guess they haven't heard of a thing called privacy. I hope the other pharmacists are more knowledgeable than this one after all you are supposed to provide 24/7 service.

  • Gary Cheshire

Went this morning (07/09/22) for our booster jabs. Pharmacy man Chris was excellent - personable, proficient and efficient. The mature blonde lady who was doing a fab job of cleaning up an unfortunate spill was doing so with a sense of humour as well! It's the second time we've used Carnovale and found their staff to be friendly and professional. I've read other reviews where customers have had a negative experience - I can only speak for us, and our experience was superb.

  • Laura Taylor

I went here to get some documents certified. The pharmacist was really rude to me. I have had great experiences with the pharmacy staff but it was really uncomfortable dealing with the pharmacist. I was perfectly nice to him but he made me feel really uncomfortable - if I had a choice I would've gone somewhere else but this place was the only pharmacy open at that time. I do not recommend at all. No one should feel like that when just trying to get a basic service.

  • Steamcontrolled

Been coming here for a while now. Something that was on the pbs... They don't regularly keep enough. Additionally a brand came off the pbs and I was told no generics are on the pbs. This is not true. Went to another chemist. They have multiple brands on the pbs and offered to order it in. Caronvale pharmacy didn't even respond to my email regarding this. Its not fun being lied to. Especially when it's about health. I'll never go here again.

  • Otis Driftwood

Been using this chemist on and off for 15+ years. I’ll be honest, there’s plenty of other chemists around here, so they’re not my first choice because of the weird parking situation, they’re not that cheap, and there’s the staff, both pharmacists and assistants. I’m organised, compliant, cooperative, and polite. Staff too often angry and belligerent. Today was new low, by the time I got my script I was really upset. I won’t be back.

  • Michelle Mosiere

Unreliable, inefficient and unprofessional. I booked 2 supervised RAT tests over the phone and was quoted $35 per test. The price included the test and the signed certificate. When we arrived at the store, there was no record of our booking. The pharmacist insisted on charging an additional $20. When I pointed out that this amounted to a potential breach of the Australian Consumer Law, he refused to supervise the test.

  • Esteban Rodriguez

After purchase metformin 500g for a price ABOVE 30 DOLLARS when couple of months later cost me 5.50 dollars in another chemist, I call them for explanations and rudely they say that "you purchase two medicines two months ago, there no point have this argument now" and just hang up, so he's saying "I charge you more than 1000% the real price f.... off" I won't even get from them aspirins, don't go to this place

  • M C

The pharmacists at this chemist are bad. As a lot of people have mentioned in the reviews, they're rude. I bought pain killers on behalf of my partner who had his wallet stolen and didn't have ID. He was also suffering severe dental pain. She displayed no care whatsoever. She also spoke to me in an aggressive and belittling way. Save yourself the attitude and visit the chemist further down Somerville Rd.

  • Mona McCormack

Rude and unsympathetic pharmacists. I called to get some minor medical advice as my GP was closed and the male pharmacist was so rude and literally said Jesus Christ and made like an annoyed sigh to whatever I asked. No help whatsoever. That’s not how people should be treated in a chemist. I called another pharmacy and they were so kind and helpful and helped me sort out my question in under 2 minutes.

  • elwyn davies

Can’t say this is my first choice for a chemist in the area…. Tried to get staff’s attention and finally got some help with an over the counter treatment…but after all that no stock of mens razor blades… it’s looking a bit tired…I generally use chemist warehouse in Footscray… it’s not easy to find a park here … very small car park on a busy corner… it’s best to use the Maccas car park over the road

  • Lucas Evans

Rude staff! Instead of talking to customers from behind the dispensing desk how about you walk down to the counter to actually talk to them rather than the whole shop needing to hear everyone's business. For a "Supercare " how about actually providing some care and support for your patients. Avoid this Pharmacy unless you want to encounter rude service and have the whole suburb know your business!

  • Benjamin

Went to buy an over the counter topical creme and had the obnoxious male sales clerk ask me endless personal questions regarding my motivation for its need. Even when I was forced to show him my dermatitis, he rudely remarked that he couldn't see it. Unfortunately his infinite medical knowledge had left him unable to even know where on the shelf it was kept. People skills desperately needed.

  • aditya anugam

Staff could be nicer and the cost of the meds are triple times costlier than other pharmacy. The guy other side of the registers was very rude and probably he doesn’t know how to treat customers, mate you got to be nice and know about the customer service In Australia, we all living in a beautiful country and being with nice ppl, so you can earn money but not the respect with this behaviour.

  • Ben Thompson

Awful pharmacist yelling out insensitive questions about my medication them refusing to come closer to talk discretely, no name plate displayed and takes one script off me to put on file while giving me one which I didn't have, after asking for both. Calling back to question their mistake I'm met with lazy jokes while voicing my concerns. Will be filing professional complaint.

  • Rania Ibrahim

The pharmacist Christina (I believe her name is) assisted me this morning with a serious pain I was experiencing. She was thorough, thoughtful enough to bring the medicine to my car and watch my children in the car while I paid. The medicine that she recommended provided me with immediate relief and saved me a much dreaded trip to the GP and hospital. Highly recommend!!

  • Katie Andmorris

I no longer live in the Yarraville area, but this was my local chemist when I did. And now I always try to pop in and get anything I need when I am in the area. They are knowledgeable, friendly and have a really good range. The fact they are 24 hrs now is also very convenient. Even they annoying 20 questions every pharmacist has to ask you they do in a friendly manner.

  • B McFarland

Worst chemist in the west. The staff here are appalling, I’ve been here over 50+ times and every time I am treated with the same rudeness and disrespect. This place is not safe for trans people, they will dead name and misgender you, whilst openly talking about your script with all customers in earshot. Would be happy if this place never opened again. Do not recommend

  • Laura Schibeci

Peter offered great customer service in helping me track down my missing The Iconic parcels (that I returned via the pharmacy). The same day I raised the issue with him, he took immediate action and put me in contact with someone from ParcelPoint to get the issue resolved. Very appreciative for his help on getting this matter resolved so urgently. Thank you!

  • Rima k

Pretty awful service, pharmacist usually hiding behind their counter like they're better than anyone else. If they happened to come down and talk to you they shout what they're saying for everyone to hear. The girls at the front are not as experienced with complex cases and won't consult the pharmacist on duty. Don't even mention the over priced products

  • Caroline Benn

Had a prescription filled for a pretty important medication where the dosage is key. They gave me the generic version when I specifically asked for the brand-name medication. And then they screwed up the dosage information on the packaging (their label stated I was to take less medication than what was written on the original prescription). Won't return.

  • Andrew L

I genuinely wish I could rate this service higher. The Pharmacists seemed pleasant and the 24 hour access is convenient. Unfortunately the only thing I will remember will be the rude attitude of the Pharmacy Assistant. I didn't see her name. She's a middle aged lady with odd hair colour and a slight accent. I will not be coming back unless in dire need.

  • Marcus Norton

My experience has been great at Carnovale. They have been very flexible in being able to provide what I needed in a very timely manner, and are clearly very focused on patient outcomes. The expertise and care provided has been fantastic. I often make use of their late hours for urgent scripts, which can be a lifesaver as both a parent and a patient.

  • Jade Elizabeth

The pharmacists here were super kind and helpful to us when we lost our script. They were fine with us calling the supermarket we lost it in asking them to check their floors...and when it was found an hour later they arranged for us to get the medicine we needed until we could get the script to them....really helpful and it meant a lot to us.

  • Tat L

The pharmacist condescendingly called me and my 65 year old mother “buddy” and “mate” while we were trying to fix a problem with my script. He was so rude when I was stressed out over getting my medication. Been going to this chemist for over a year and the customer service staff are great but the pharmacist is rude. Will not be going back.

  • Chris Page

Exceptionally rude Pharmacist who obviously did not want to be working at 11pm. Unhelpful, unpleasant and on a major power trip... Not one to ever have complained about a single business on Google before however as a young professional I was horrified by what I experienced there. Considering a formal complaint to the relevant board tomorrow

  • W K

Absolutely done with this dump. Rudest pharmacists I’ve ever encountered. Refused my script ONE DAY before I ran out of pills. Condescending as hell also. They treat patients like rubbish. Look forward to your APHRA complaint. I will never ever return to this dump. Back to chemist warehouse where I get treated with kindness and respect.

  • Lexa Francis

I have been repeatedly misnamed and misgendered by a particular staff member ever since I started coming here. Same staff member has also refused to give me an emergency supply of important medication even though the pharmacist overheard us and gave me what I needed. After one too many encounters with this person, I'm not going back.

  • Lisa Bonnici

I was on holiday from Adelaide and ran out of my medicine, which I need daily to keep me alive. They saved me in a desperate moment when I was panicking and allowed me to pick up some of my medicine until I could get my dr back home to send through my prescription. Thank you so, so much to the amazing staff there. I am so thankful.

  • Sid A

Would love to support this local business but everything in here is so expensive. Purchased prescription medicines here for $59 which would have cost me $24 at a different pharmacy. Not generic brand but the same brands. I understand this is a 24 hours pharmacy but that doesn't mean they charge 3 x for prescription medicines.

  • Danna Lezcano

I will never go back to this pharmacy and I’ve told my housemates/friends not to go either. Staff were INCREDIBLY RUDE and when they noticed THEIR mistake, not only did not apologize but one of the ladies continued to be rude. I know it’s difficult times to everyone, but that is not an excuse to mistreat costumers.

  • Vincent Albanese

I was amazed with the customers serviced late at night ... had a unbearable toothache however the staff at carnovale had it covered especially a staff member named Vin(would like to say thanks heaps) told me how to deal with tooth ache and products I needed for it. Never do reviews but had to this time. 10/10

  • S

I had a second disappointing encounter with a rather unhelpful shop assistant. Despite calling ahead and sending an email to confirm product availability, I received no response. The shop assistant responded with a dismissive eye roll and was told to wait. No real choice when chasing hard to find products.

  • Tanya Evans

I had to take my elderly mother to visit the sleep apnea centre they provide . To my absolute pleasure Melissa was extremely helpful going out of her way to make sure my mothers mask fitting was perfect prior to leaving . What a lovely experience for my mother to have someone so patient and caring . 10☆

  • Cold Toast

Despise having to go to this pharmacy but I'm sometimes directed to go there when my usual doesn't have something. Been there 5-6 times and every time has been an awful experience. Staff are always extremely patronising and rude, pharmacists included. Don't know how they've managed to stay in business.

  • Jesse Lyte

Kept losing my script, then said they’d fill it and didn’t and I had to wait ages, no one said sorry once and they spoke to me like it was my fault or the doctors who sent it to them, that they couldn’t find it. I’ve had 4 bad experiences with them in the past few months, this is just one.

  • Joanne Harrison

Wonderful service. Big thanks to the 2 ladies working at 6.30 last night feb 10/2021. They went above & beyond to help with a moon boot for my 10 year old daughter. I'm still overwhelmed about how much time & care you gave us. I haven't had Service like this from any where in a long time.

  • Shane Laybourne

Boycott this "pharmacy". Charged $20 for a script worth $6.30. Daylight robbery. Absolutely disgraceful behaviour scamming everyone. I feel sorry for the pensioners over paying for their scripts at this place. Life's hard enough without being scammed by people you're supposed to trust.

  • shaun hill

went here a few months ago Was questioned like a common addict ( i barely take medication other then when i had a fractured clavicle ) however there is a reason theyre strict they are the only 24 hour chemist in melbourne that im aware of granted i wasnt in a very good mood at the time

  • Nicole Casey

I unfortunately had the same experience as the last review with requesting eye drops for what was clearly conjunctivitis- completely rude pharmacist who refused to sell me the drops. Not the first time unfortunately I’ve had such rude and unhelpful service. Will not return.

  • Tara Phillips

What a great service. Fantastic experience of the care of the nursing clinic . Needed burns dressed after scalding myself . Very caring and efficient. So much better than having to wait in emergency or wait for a dr. Didn’t need to wait and was in and out in 10 minutes.

  • Andrew Davidson

I spent some time with the pharmasist about a new medication issued to my son. I read the info and had questions. The pharmisist sat with me for the time I needed to understand the info and heped with my concerns. I highly recommend Carnovale Pharmacy. Thanks

  • Jacquie de Valle

Attended late at night for a serious indigestion problem. Staff stifled laughter and refused to help. Then they called security. Appalling behaviour and absolutely no help whatsoever. Cannot even comment on customer service because there wasn't any displayed.

  • Reuben Phillips

Go elsewhere during business hours. While it's great to have a 24/7 pharmacy in the neighbourhood, I can do without the hit-and-miss passive-aggressive staff members, or the late night pharmacist who really isn't thrilled to be there and wants you to know it.

  • Nia Nia

Very rude! Asked why I was calling at this time of night but they're a 24 hour pharmacy. Then to get there and the lady with the short hair make remarks about them taking their time to serve me. Very rude pharmacist too. I would recommend never going there!!

  • Annette Ross

I can personally recommend Carnavle Chemist, Yarravile. The service is excellent and everyone so helpful. They also have an amazing nurse on duty 7days a week from 6-10. I cannot speak highly enough. Thank you so much for your assistance!!! …

  • Kathryn Kennedy

Ignoring customers waiting at the counter is not what I expect from my local pharmacists. Very disappointing. 5 minutes was enough! I walked out after that. A simple ‘have you been served?’ or ‘we’ll be with you in a moment’ would have ok by me.

  • Racheal Koi

Actually amazed at the audacity of charging almost 4 times for a basic PBS subsidised antibiotic. Counting down the days chemist warehouse becomes 24 hours and rip off merchants will run into the ground. Don’t come here unless you’re desperate.

  • Evi Black

The staff are frequently condescending and rude. I was given the wrong medicine and I had to go back. Not even an apology. Both encounters reinforced past experience that this pharmacy is best avoided if possible. Shame because it’s 24 hours.

  • Elias Mussolini

The weekend staff are very nice including the pharmacist on duty. Weekdays?..............a total debacle! If one is unfortunate to come across Peter O'Connor shy away. This chap is egotistical, rude and uninformed about his chosen profession.

  • Dtram

Won't be coming back after seeing the political disinformation campaign advertised at all the counters. Pharmacy was already ~2.5x the price of chemist warehouse for my usual medication, and now I have no reason to support this store.

  • Philip Hill

The staff at this chemist seem to get ruder as time goes on. It's not the kind of place you get a sympathetic ear when you're unwell. Expect to have your personal details broadcast to others. Expect an annoyed response if you ask a

  • Jaime Hernandez Pedraza

Paid double price for prescribed items compared with other pharmacies. Charge a few more is not too bad but paying double is a rip off for the same Same medicine, same lab and same quantity. Drive a little further and save money.

  • Dorothy Lee

I went to see the nurse who is freely available in the evenings at Carnovale’s Pharmacy . Nurse Russell was great: efficient, friendly, knowledgeable and kind. And I didn’t have to wait long either. Thank you for great service!

  • David Mock

Went to get cough medicine for a cold, very soon they were with me and talked me through what symptoms I had, figured out what I had and needed and were really friendly and suitably conversational as well. Really lovely. :)

  • Jason Crockett

There was a car crash just outside the pharmacy. Within moments, one member was on the phone for the ambulance while the others rushed outside to check on the occupants, helped organize and advise the injured while waiting.

  • Peter Butcher

My medicine was at least 5 times more expensive here than normal. When I queried she asked if I went to chemist warehouse very rudely. Umm no that wasn't the case. I suppose they have high overheads from being 24 hours.

  • Gaurav Vig

I have been to many pharmacy. But trust me the blonde girl after hours doesn't know how to talk to people . She is rude , no people skills . Never going there again ever . Only reason i went was coz they are 24 hours .

  • Mary Aung

NEVER GO HERE. Useless place. We came here to see a nurse and they weren’t there and we were told to wait 1 hour. My boyfriend had a multiple deep cuts on his leg and no on there knew what to do. So unprofessional

  • Mo Town

Staff were lovely, prescription was more than 3 times the price at Chemist Warehouse... run far far away... I'm prepared to pay a small premium for 24 hour convenience but this place is daylight robbery...

  • Faith Maccar

Great pharmacy, quick service. Staff very friendly. Parking can be a bit of an issue, particularly when it’s busy. Not many spots available and very tight spaces. Apart from that, fantastic 24hr service.

  • Sarah Hellier

Carnovale pharmacy team are always so accommodating and we appreciate all the help we get from you. Nurse Russell, special thanks for helping my son tonight with burn dressing. ❤️‍ …

  • Sue Vittori

We love our well-stocked local pharmacy, Carnovale, and its friendly and helpful staff. It's very convenient having it open 24/7 and located right across the road from our local medical clinic as well.

  • Cailen Lee

Some medications here are literally 4 x the price of other chemists. I dont mind the night shift staff too much nor the chemist on day shift. But the reception staff on day shift needs a serious rework

  • Sarah M

Just visited this pharmacy tonight and all I can say is that not one, but all the staff there are absolutely lovely and friendly. Im glad I came across this pharmacy, even better that they open 24/7.

  • Jacky brook

If I could give no stars I would. Regular local at this pharmacy. I asked if the chemist would sign a statutory declaration. Too busy apparently no one at the counter. Will never shop there again.

  • Natalie Nguyen

I had a minor emergency last night and received great help and service from the pharmacist Quan. Such convenience to have access to a 24hr pharmacy and such helpful staff. Will definitely go back.

  • Paddy O'Donnell

Avoid this place, pharmacist working here has a serious attitude problem! Extremely rude and arrogant & I can see by reading the previous comments I'm not the only one to experience this.

  • Kate

24 hour chemist with security and friendly staff/fast service. A little more expensive due to the 24 hr convenience but worth it if you need a prescription filled asap. Easily accessible.

  • James Fraser

AVOID - YOU WILL PAY DOUBLE FOR SCRIPTS! Insanely slow service - not enough staff, and way overpriced. 20 mins to get a script dispensed, with only three people waiting. Staff are rude.

  • Ashleigh Close

Conveniently open 24 hours, every day of the week. I always feel safe when I have to come here and love the convenient and central location to assist so many people in the nearby areas.

  • Russell Freemantle

This is a top Pharmacy. My wife was really sick and needed some medications. Kwan was super helpful and new exactly what was needed. These are real pharmacists not just sales people.

  • ChristneOunkeo

I highly recommend the pharmacy. Great prices & perfect service. Be sure to check out the sales basket & FFS the Indian security guard is so uptight. Effer needs a B to the J.

  • Dylan j

Little troll behind the counter grunts and can't even look at you. Horrible customer service, I'd say if it wasn't open 24/7 nobody would go there. Security guy was lovely tho

  • Chris

Handy chemist but staff are incredibly rude. Staff were swearing, eating behind the counter and yelling from the other side of the store to each other. Also overpriced items.

  • Carlton K

Place has a good range but going there at noght the staff aren't friendly and price was more than 2 times the price of anywhere else for a prescription. Very disappointing

  • Jessica Asta

Went in there today with my partner to get a script filled and the young girl that served us was really rude and abrupt! everyone else that works there are really nice

  • Trang Dong

Incredibly thankful to have this pharmacy opened 24/7!! Random late night breathing difficulties relieved with quick and efficient service. Thanks guys …

  • Alvin Rayos

Poor customer service, very rude like I was disrupting shop owners time. He tried to upsell me, became upset when I wanted the cheaper option. Never coming back

  • Shelly Carr

Rudest male pharmacist, terrible and wasn't evening listening to me. Pathetic and puts the great pharmacy profession to shame. I'd give zero stars if I could

  • Julia Jackson

As a local I was delighted to discover these guys deliver in the Yarraville area when you can't collect, like when you have COVID! Brilliant solution thanks

  • Kylie Sartori

Extremely rude staff. Twice we have had to go here at night for products for sick kids and twice the staff have been rude. Will not be going back.

  • S McFadden

Female pharmacist was incredible rude and has a big attitude problem. Very unprofessional. I won’t be going back there after this experience.

  • Lachlan H

Most convenient and efficient pharmacy I've been to. 24/7 service and you don't have to wait in 2 separate queues to pay for your scripts.
