It pains me to leave this review, but I feel like I have to after the service I received. I decided to go to this dentist because it was conveniently located. At first my experience was wonderful. The hygienist was nice and my cleaning went well. When I met Dr Carlson he was so nice, knowledgable and helpful. I felt confident in their services. I found out that I needed to have some fillings redone so I scheduled those as soon as possible. Dr Carlson doesn’t do fillings so a different doctor was set up to do that. He was nice and I thought everything would be okay. After leaving the office and when the numbness wore off something different feel right. Pieces of the filling came off, which I have NEVER experienced. I know this because I have had a few fillings. For the most part my teeth are in really good condition. I scheduled an appointment to have Dr Carlson check the fillings since pieces had come off. He told me everything looked and felt normal. I still didn’t think so. There were rough patches and I felt a lot of sensitivity in that tooth. It was driving me absolutely crazy because my tongue ran over it constantly. I also noticed a part of my tooth that should be rounded was now flat and chipped off! I noticed because I check out my teeth a lot. Unbelievable! I was really worried that this tooth had something seriously wrong with it. So I went to a dentist I had been to when I was younger. He redid one of my other fillings and smoothed out things on the filling done at Dr Carlson’s (it was really rough). That felt significantly better, but something was still off. I would get sensitivity in that tooth, it would feel tight, and it was just bothering me. So I went to my dentist again and just told them about all the issues. She was so nice and helpful and after using the carbon paper could tell the filling was touching too much (I believe called a high filling) She ground it down and smoothed it out some more. I haven’t had anymore sensitivity now and it feels 100 times better. I’m just praying that there was no decay or anything left when Dr Carlson’s team filled it. I will not be going back here. If you read the reviews it looks like people have had similar experiences with fillings. Learn from us and go somewhere else for these things.

The staff at the Carlson Dental Group were all phenomenal. From the moment I spoke to the receptionist at Bartram to the time I checked out at the Riverside location. The procedure that I needed was costly and overwhelming to think about. Meaghan at the Bartram Office was able to answer every question I had with patience, clarity, and understanding. In addition, to giving me a followup call about the procedure and was able to change my appointment time. The receptionist at the Riverside office was friendly and made every customer feel welcome. The service was speedy. Jasmine met me at the door with a smile to take me to my room, and assured me that today would be a fantastic visit. She did not rush me through the process, she did not judge me when I asked 50 million questions, and she made it her business to be patient with me as she realized the pressure that the decision making process was causing me. Thank you Jasmine. Dr. Carlson, was very patient and thorough with his observation of my dental needs. He walked me step by step through the suggested treatment plan. As he observed my increased anxiety, he went a step further to validate that I did not have anything to be worried about and at the end of the treatment plan I would LOVE TO SMILE again! As you know finding a dentist you can trust is difficult, especially when you need 2 crowns and a bridge. Not only finding a doctor, but the cost incurred. As a patient with questions, concerns, financial barriers, Dr. Carlson and his team made it seamless from the beginning. My procedure was started the same day and I cannot wait until the final results. Again thank you to the Carlson Dental Group.

Is this place a spa or a dentist office?? Okay okay, it was totally a dentist office. But not your average one. Each room is themed. I got the Napa Room. Which was great because once I found out I needed a crown on an upper molar, I knew exactly which bottle I needed to uncork to enjoy while reviewing my budget that night. On a more serious note, my hygienist was exceptionally friendly. The real MVP of that office. She welcomed me, gave a tour of the offices and explained all of their services to me. Being that I am young and this was my first visit to a new dentist office independent of my parents, I was pretty nervous. She was so kind and bubbly and really explained things to me in terms that I understood. The dentist who saw me was very nice and professional as well. The front desk staff were all so kind and welcoming. Really I cannot have asked for any better of an experience other than to not need a crown on my tooth but alas that is my fault and not theirs. Oh and also.....tv...inside the ceiling...with a Roku and Netflix. I chose to watch Chef's Table. I opted out of the headphones in order to remain open to any conversation that my sweet hygienist would want to have. Which was silly because all I could have responded with were grunts or a thumbs up anyway. Note to self: Next time use the headphones so I don't have to listen to the awful scraping sounds during the cleaning!! Complimentary toothbrushes in the lobby. Pain reliever provided upon request. Riverside location is easy to get to and garage parking is free if you bring in your ticket to the reception desk. This is your new dentist in Jax. Just book it.

I recently got a crown at Carlson dental based on their recommendation that it was needed. My insurance company denied the claim because the evidence submitted by Carlson did not indicate that a crown was actually needed. Carlson resubmitted the claim but it was denied a second time. I subsequently called the Carlson office and they were unwilling to push back on the insurance company and I would need to pay the $400 balance that insurance would have covered out-of-pocket. It is frustrating to me that they were unwilling to push back because it makes me feel like I either received a crown that I did not need (which has been painful tooth much of the time since but never gave me problems before) or at a minimum they are not willing to stand behind their work, indicating a lack professional integrity. If the amount was not so small I would consider legal action. I really liked my hygienist though!

I've found the perfect dental office! Wonderful people who LISTEN and design the best program for you. The cutting edge technologies are obviously a huge plus, but the people make Carlson the gem that it is. A strong mixture of talent, personality, and positive attitudes, they quickly remove any stress or fear you have. This was the only dental office I have ever visited that was truly "pain free" and their continued concern with my comfort was very reassuring. Do you need another reason to visit? How about one of the best I can think of: they employ multiple veterans and civil service families. Support our troops and support Carlson Dental Group in Riverside. Your teeth will thank you!

Dentist and pleasurable typically aren't spoken in the same sentence, however, I can honestly use this word to describe my visit. My hygienist, Lauren was excellent. She was very personable, explained each step in detail and she is very gentle. Dr. Le was awesome as well. His oral exam was thorough as he looked for oral cancer and checked my lymph nodes. Any questions I had he answered and made sure I felt comfortable. The receptionist Emily was very pleasant and accommodating. This office has a calm and relaxing aesthetic. The technology they use makes it easy to get the x-rays completed. No bulky equipment either. I can see why they were voted Best Dentist in Jacksonville. They are!

Since when does dentists give out goodie bags? lol. This was my first visit and I have zero complaints. The staff was exceptional and I loved the atmosphere. Nothing about Carlson Dental feels like the run of the mill dental office. The harsh light, ominous grey and white walls and metal slabs were none existent. I was in the Aspen room and it was cozy and relaxing. I had the pleasure of having Lauren work on me. I love her personality. I’m 100% biased but she’s the best lol. If all the others workers are like her, then Carlson dental is the Chic-fil-a and Publix of dental groups.

I went to today to get a crown. Dr. Lee and Patrice are a great team. I appreciated their bedside manner, professionalism and friendliness. They both explained and described what to expect and what steps were going to be done which helped me feel calm. They were gentle and made sure I didn’t feel discomfort. I appreciated their sense of humor and making me laugh. The front office administration were friendly, professional and efficient. I recommend this office to anyone who asks for a dentist.

Excellent experience. From setting the appt, appt reminders, paperwork, even down to the conversation was just a breath of fresh air compared to other dental offices. This place has great aesthetic quality, TVs in the ceiling and the professionalism is second to none. The honesty in which the doctor portrays his concern was also better than I have ever experienced. If I could give 10 stars I would have. :)

This was the BEST dental experience I've ever had. I had the horrible experience of losing a filling over the weekend, however the folks at Carlson Dental were so kind to take me in short notice and repair it in less than an hour. Dr. Roshan was absolutely wonderful and I had no pain and no stress. I appreciate all their office did for me. Would recommend them to anyone.

Listed as in-network for my insurance, waited 2 months for an appointment only to be told 2 days prior it to that they aren't actually in-network and that "those lists aren't always correct". They had my insurance information from the very beginning and never said anything. Only offered for me to pay completely out of pocket at $295 for the visit.

I had a wonderful cleaning done by Lauren at Carlson Dental Group. The entire staff was extremely professional and welcoming from the moment I walked in until when I left. The office itself has a nice and relaxing atmosphere with state of the art equipment. I'm happy that I finally have a dentist in Jacksonville I know I can trust and rely on!

I would not recommend this office. I had a root canal and a few days later I was still having pain in the tooth Went back a few times and was sent to an endodontist who told me i need the tooth retreated and now I have to pay again for a root canal that I just had done. I'm not happy.

Wonderful experience, excellent patient care! I switched over to their office after spending 23 years at a pathetic excuse for a dentist office at the beach. Ashley did my cleaning and was so, so great!! I saw Dr. B and he was great as well! Looking forward to my next visit!

The past 3 out of 5 appointments, the dentist didn't even show. I was contacted and informed prior to only one appointment. Most recently, 17 minutes late due to accidents and trains and they refused to see me. Looking for a new dentist. Any recommendations?

Everyone was nice but they wanted me to pay nearly $1,000 out of pocket the first time I went there for dental work. My previous dentist didn't say anything that this dentist said about work needed. I just got the feeling they were out to make $ off me.

I switched to Carlson Dental Group recently after decades with another dentist office. I've been very happy with the switch. I recommended them to my wife and children. It's great that our whole family now has the same dentist office.

My first visit to Carlson was great. The receptionists were extremely kind and comforting and the lobby and exam rooms were very clean. The entire staff went above and beyond to accommodate me and help me find an oral surgeon.

I've been a few times now and everyone is great there. Patrice and Sam A. were especially awesome. Everything I've heard about a root canal had me terrified, but Dr. Carlson was an absolute pro and got me through it with ease.

Excellent cleaning done by Nelly. She was gentle and thorough. Her instructions for at-home care were excellent and informative. Would highly recommend this office. Scheduling, environment and everything in between was great.

Overall good experiences when I go. Have done the Invisalign treatment with good success, although have to wear retainer longer than I thought. By the way, Jasmine is the best!
