We went to Canary Wharf this January to see the winter lights display. This is the sixth year running they have held the event and I've always heard good things about it. There were over 25 light installations spread throughout Canary Wharf and they range from simple light projections to some spectacular pieces of art. One of the most clever was a computer controlled set of droplets that dropped to form words as they were hit by light. There are plenty of places to eat and drink and the opportunity for some retail therapy too if that takes your fancy. The route we took included a number of steps but I saw enough ramps and lifts to suggest that, if a little time was spent planning a route, most displays would be accessible. I enjoyed wandering around the area seeing the lights and also catching up with the construction that has gone on since the last time I was here e.g. cross rail place. Well worth a visit and even better, its Free.

Canary Wharf is made up of two plush, marble floored, glass shop fronted shopping centres, Cabot Place on the DLR (which has a Waitrose and John Lewis) and Jubilee Place on the Jubilee line (which has an M&S Food). They are linked by a labyrinth of corridors so you don't have to go outside if you don't want to, although in the summer the outdoor spaces around the Wharf are so lovely, with places to eat and drink and entertainment a-plenty. It's a true destination for a family day out, and for serious shoppers with top brands such as Kiehl's, Penhaligon's, The Kooples, Peloton and so many more. Only loses one star for being quite hard to navigate, could do with improved signage and more touchscreen centre maps, but generally it's clean, secure, and you'll find all you'll need for a quality shopping and more.

Beautiful commercial centre under ground, at the exit of Canary Wharf Jubillee Station. The ambient is amazing with corridors made from black and white marble and the view between floors thanks to special window oblò made everything so ‘luxurious’. The commercial centre have different brands and different enters / exits (my favourite one is the one on the Canada Square Park. A busy place especially during this part of the year, but a beautiful place if you need to do your shopping or presents thanks to the Black Friday / post Christmas period. Suggested even because after you can enjoy your time with some beautiful view to One Canada Square, eat some food in one of many restaurants arround or just let yourself lost between the skyscrapers or the streets of Canary Wharf.

I always like visiting this area when working around here. I don’t do it just because there are so many delicious food and drinks with cuisines from across the world. If you slow down your pace and have a look into the buildings , the walls , the roads , the trees , the leaves ☘️, the fruits , and ... the Ship and the Duck swimming in the water , you will sense a dynamic and lively mixture of colors, cultures, and tastes. Take some time to explore the area, and I am sure you will find something amazing. Enjoy!

It's amazing to think that some 40 years ago, Canary Wharf was just a barren docklands area. However, by 1987, the whole area had been transformed into the glass towered financial district, created because there was a lack of space in the City of London. Canary Wharf is now more than a financial business area. In addition to the high rises that dominate its Skyline, there are many bars, resteraunts, gardens, and shops. Every December, Canary Wharf plays host to the Winter Lights festival, an exhibition of art using lights to give a full sensory experience.

The conpany I was with was good. Starter was sauteed prawns, selection of sausages and bread. Six order shared between 8 was sufficient. For main course, the 500 gm steaks were excellent. I would love to know how the baked sweer potatoes were prepared, because these were so soft it was unbelievable. The eggs were eggs. To be honest, i wasn't inpress3d by the mac and cheese, so much so that I left it afyer a spoonful. It just seemed bland. Service as always at Gauchos was top notch. An excellent place to go to for a good steak.

A very useful place to go to if you want to buy groceries from Waitrose to buying a new suit or an expensive watch. There is a bit of something for everyone in my opinion. From posh cocktail bars to placed to eat there are plenty for one to Indulge in. Also nearby there are cinemas and museums. I like coming here as there is a good range of things to do here and it feels safer than certain areas of London. It's also easy for me to get to from south east London. I highly recommend here for it's clean and safe shopping mall.

This is an amazing shopping centre! So many shops, places to get coffee, food markets, clothing, luxury and much more... The only issue we had was when we actually nearly missed it while being a guest at one of the hotels of the Canary Wharf - we did not imagine such a city underground existed and we only got there by chance coming back from a trip with the tube (subway). Perfect shopping centre for anything we could imagine - enormous in size and vast offering of so many brands and shops....

Canary Wharf is a London Underground station at Canary Wharf and is on the Jubilee line between Canada Water and North Greenwich stations. The station is located in Travelcard Zone 2 and was opened on 17 September 1999 as part of the Jubilee Line Extension. Over 40 million people pass through the station each year, making it second busiest on the London Underground outside Central London after Stratford, and also the busiest that serves only a single line.

Interesting area in and around Canary Wharf how the shopping centre is very fragmented and intertwined within lower levels of the buildings. Not your conventional shopping mall. The areas are separate but connected and the store list and locators few and far between only showing that one vertical area. If that’s your thing it’s great, honestly though for me, it was just too much work to walk from section to another then up and down.

  • Rich Gillies

Waitrose shop very disappointed, in there stay, went we were told by the lady on the kiosk, we had to queue through the self checkouts which we did. Then when ot was our turn to be served she walked away, then on returning served the security guard with cigarettes first, when I questioned why she served him first, she laughed & said yes, obviously if you know them you don't have to queue, like the rest of us Very poor service

  • Ibrahim Scek-Nuren

Good place, Very clean. Multiple train station. Car park a bit of rip off. especially if your navigating and went to the wrong car park they'll make you pay. I've done deliveries there. There needs to be a better signage for locating building like The westferry Circus roundabout. It can be a maze but you'll get used to it. The big 4 are there. And you should most definitely try Buns from home.

  • Petrova Petrova

One of my favorite places. Love to go for walking. There are a lot of restaurants, bats, shopping center. Amazing on sunset and night time. It’s a big place, a lot of things to do. You can eve hire a boat. It’s clean every where, there is a artificial mini park with “lakes”, trees, grass. A lot of events happening there. A choice of public transport connection to get there.

  • Laith Hofayz

Get anything you want here...the shopping centre is huge in two parts Jubilee Shopping area, with ALL the top branded shops you can imagine! And 100s of restaurants, bars and cafes! Lots of outside area to explore and wonder around .../ the energy especially at peak hours and lunchtime is tangible!! Well worth a visit - especially now with Xmas decorations

  • Cristoforo Littley

I absolutely love Canary wharf....been coming here since it was literally just one Skyscraper, Canada Square....now, its a huge vibrant district of apartments, offices, bars, shops, venues, Caffè and parks....architecturally as vibrant an area as possible for me, everytime you come another floor has been added to the latest new build Skyscraper....

  • Red Code

Canary Wharf is literally the best place to shop, it's an environment where you can find the best brands and quality products, there are many brands and products together, it has an atmosphere that is a little bit expensive, but I can say that the environment is very nice, right in the center of London. You should definitely experience it.

  • Naz B

Absolutely fabulous amazing high buildings. Very busy on this side of London. Need to come again 4 sure. Needed to visit KPGM building so Canada square is a great place to park KPGM right nxt door. Online booking was £18 for reservation. We didn't reserve and took the risk Glad to find parking. 1-6hours paid £14. Hope this helps someone.

  • Alexander Charles

Canary Wharf is a fairly large shopping centre where you will probably miss multiple stores on your first visit. There are a multitude of twists and turns where you might even feel lost if you're exploring, but for me this has always been a pro more than a con. They also hold seasonal events/activities such as an ice rink.

  • Nataliia Yefimenko

Perfect location to eat, work, meet friends and go shopping. The water around the Canary Wharf creates a specific climate that can be enjoyed through various pedestrian lines with limited traffic, but crowded. Former dockland place for ships from Canary Islands Was surprised today to see people swimming ‍♀️

  • Constantin

One of the best business centres in the world. The logistics of this skyscraper and the efficient operation of the lifts are very clear. It is very convenient that you can get here without leaving the metro without having to go outside. It is a pleasure to work here. It is also worth noting the seemingly good security.

  • Benjy james

Really beautiful place here! One of the nicest places in London at night time! The Thames look elegant the buildings have a really nice touch and the shopping centre is packed with many shops that you can shop till you drop! If you love London and you love shopping then this is the place you would want to be! 5 stars!

  • Tebraiz Shahzad

Has all the right shops and some decent places to eat. However it always feels like a place and it's confusing with the nearby Jubilee shopping centre. It's also very claustrophobic and too congested. I used to work near here and when going on my lunch break I was often worried I couldn't get my shopping done in time.

  • S gayathri

The square is a vibrant hub, home to numerous companies, restaurants, and pubs, framed by towering skyscrapers. It's a sight to behold in the morning, with professionals in sharp blazers bustling about. The waterside stroll is delightful, making it an ideal location for both personal and professional meetings.

  • Adam Steinbeck

This is a well managed private estate including a business district and shopping mall, increasingly derived by residential towers. Although bank occupancy has dropped, the area feels more lively overall as thanks to the Elizabeth line, bankers are replaced by daytrippers and tourists. Especially on weekends.

  • Daniel Tabatabai

Personally this place is not for me. If you like being underground, crowds and overpriced everything then crack on There are some good places to eat and high end brands. (Subterranean) But personally this isn't where I want to be during my time off, it's corporate capitalist environment at its worst. Lush.

  • Connie O

Shopping centre: Nothing special. Has clothes shops, restaurants (modtky catering to lunch for office workers so not great for dinner. Best to go elsewhere in CW for that. CW as a whole: Big tall buildings, very easy to get lost as everything looks the same and Google Maps just doesn't work properly here!

  • Shashank Gaur

This is a really cool area with lot of shops and restaurants. We went to Five guys that is open till midnight on weekend which was such a save. Also, there are many supermarkets and boutiques. It's really accessible and connects to Jubilee line too. I have to say very clean and well managed shopping mall.

  • Monika Schweitzer

I really like the shopping center, especially for our everyday life, in the white rose you can find everything you need for meals, and the various tea and coffee selections can also be enriched with many exciting things.and of course the flowers that decorate the apartment are on sale in the morning.

  • Shafin Shahriar

Street artists 3D Joe & Max created the world’s largest and longest 3D street art in London. The 12,490 square foot painting took seven days to create. It was created near the world famous Canary Wharf. The project was sponsored by Reebok CrossFit. It was shown to the public on November 10,2011.

  • Nelson Yap

Had the Sunday roast for the first time and wasn't impressed cos the meat quality wasn't that great. Don't be fooled by the portion in the picture, there weren't many slices of meat just huge Yorkshire pudding taking up the space. The gravy, roasted vegetables and potatoes were superb though .

  • Mervyn Neill

Can't really rate it as a shopping centre because Marks & Spencer and Caffe Nero are the only shops there but both are very clean and nicely laid out. The whole place in general is spotless and nice and bright. When this place is full and all retail spaces filled it's going to be a winner.

  • Scott Wignall

Wow what an amazing place! So much to see and do with two tube lines passing here too it’s not hard to get to! Stunning scenes in Jubilee park and amazing shops to visit and places to eat! Market Hall is great with a variety of street food which was delicious!! A great place to explore!!

  • Jay Saxon

The place is ok, the people walking around not so much. Rise in crime since the Elizabeth line opened. Also wouldn’t recommend using the public toilets, as they are being used as meeting places for….. well use your imagination. Much better places in London to visit then Canary Wharf.

  • igor bekaert

Canary Wharf has been on the up with bounds and leaps in recent years. We have been visiting the area for over 25years. It has its own charm and the architecture is impressive. You can find everything here. Hundreds of shops and amazing restaurants. Cargo foodhall is a must

  • miguel Alex

Not the largest but useful if you're looking for somewhere nice to some shopping or just having a stroll. Cnvenient indoor access to train stations, plenty of bus links as well as DLR and Jubilee line links. Beautiful surroundings and very modern feel. Well worth a visit.

  • Jan Rich

Excellent place for shops and restaurants. Can be very confusing finding your way in and out the first time. I walked around the Jubilee Gardens trying to find an invisible Wagamama for ages until a very helpful policewoman explained that it was 2 floors beneath my feet!

  • Sanjay Soni

A place having a mixture of both offices, residential and shopping experience. Lots of eateries and some of them you won’t find at central London. The cobalt palace is nice. The place is well connected with DLR and jubilee line which help to commute to wider London.

  • Matei Relenschi

Very modern shopping area located underneath Canary Wharf. There’s both cheaper fashion stores and the most exquisite designer retail stores. Loved the cleanliness and water refilling stations and it’s nice to go and hide away from the heat above for a couple hours.

  • Peter Kam Fai Cheung

On Nov 10, 2022, our niece brought my wife, our younger daughter and I here with some difficulty. Although she has been living in the vicinity, she, as our navigator, couldn’t tell left from right. At last, we parked and shopped at Waitrose.

  • Andree Funnell

I was delivering a leadership and management course for a client at Canary Wharf yesterday. I just love the vibe of the place and all there is to do there. It's well worth a visit for retail therapy, eating places, bars, and entertainment.

  • Sal Munur

I never took any pictures inside the shopping centre (which I wasn't greatly impressed with to be honest - poor variety of stores. Not for all budgets. January sales were bleak) but the surrounding area is real pretty at night!

  • Oh Hi Nikki

There's not too much to do but there are a few shops you can go shopping in and some restaurants but not too much to do. It's a nice place tho but its also a place of work as there's quite a few surrounding business buildings.

  • J Kaiser

All the affordable shops are disappearing and only luxury brands available now. How many Rolex and jewellery shops are needed? Ski jacket from £800 onwards? Caters for the rich. Not all who work there get paid the big bucks!

  • Marcella Catanzaro

In my opinion not worth visiting when in London. Restaurants and bars are obviously overpriced and posh due to companies sitting there. Wouldn't go again. If you there for business it will fulfill a night out with colleagues

  • Michele Mascia

Well it's a shopping centre with most of your usual chains scattered around its footprint. It can be a little confusing getting around and changing levels but nothing that getting lost for a few hours doesn't solve......

  • Rai Jadeja

I love shopping in and around this area they have a great selection of shops and a brilliant selection of places to eat so even if you do get hungry while doing all your shopping you're never Far Away From a few options.

  • John Newman

Intense shopping area indeed. The biggest Waitress Store I have ever seen too. Jam packed with foods and marvelous stuffs of all shapes sizes and descriptions! Well worth a visit. Plenty cafes, bit pricey though..

  • Just Me

I really did not liked the shopping mall/DLR station. Was searching for the way to Jubilee line for ages. Signs only lead you half the way through the building - which is build like a mace. Got completely lost.

  • Mandy J

Used to be Canary Wharf was quiet on a weekend, not any more. There is a buzz in the area now; with some great venues to hangout, shop, or eat and drink. I also enjoyed watching the tennis on the big screen.

  • Stephanie Reid

"Big Easy" We went on a Thursday Night. Steak & Lobster Special. Food was good. Wait for food was long. More than one waiter needed in that section. I enjoyed it much better when I dined their previously.

  • Naomi Chamberlain

We had a great evening walking around, taking in the sights and sounds. We found a lovely South Korean restaurant and had a delicious dinner. The gardens scattered around were lovely to stroll through.

  • victoria shaw chiesman

The Waterstones is lovely. Not enough places to sit comfortably unless buying something to eat. Grumpy office workers and a few locals. Don't go on a Saturday especially near Christmas after lunchtime.

  • Kamal Chowdhury

I love the area. Plenty sitting area bank of river or canal or fountain . Available Sandwich shops , restaurants ,coffee shops, Tesco ,Waitrose ,boots and John Lewis can fulfill all your daily needs.

  • Paul Stapleton

Problem with buses in Bank Street today..apparently bypassing this area on Saturdays. Fortunately kind lady in mobile ice cream van informed waiting passengers (about 40!!). No notice posted by TFL.

  • Martin C

Great parking with reasonable tariff. Huge shopping mall with a huge Waitrose and Asian supermarket Tian Tian. Very good especially if you are looking for good shopping experience in East London.

  • Lucy Vaughan

Bottomless brunch such good value, food was great and drinks kept coming. Staff were so lovely. As a smoker the only thing was you can't smoke cigarettes on the terrace now only vape so take one!

  • Mateenio

One if best and under-rated shopping centres in London. Plenty of great shops, but the best thing is the choice of restaurants and entertainment / mixed leisure use. Very family friendly too.

  • Sonia T.

The extension and revamp of the space is really a masterpiece. It's such a nice place to visit and I'm sure the workers appreciate the nicer surroundings. The "Central Park" is very agreable

  • Marwan Gomez

It's really well lit up. It feels festive and almost like a mini winter wonderland! Loads of nice pubs and food places plus some great spots for family pictures. Cabot sqaure is a must see.

  • Susan Corbett

Mostly chain shops and restaurants in a vast 3 levels. 3 tube stations very close by Jubilee, Docklands and Elizabeth lines. Always great Christmas decorations and helpful security people.

  • Manuelita Erediano

Exvellent customer service, very nice staff. Beautiful and cozy place. Observe cleanliness and hygiene. Delicious food from starter to dessert. Reasonable price. Highly recommended.

  • Gergely Lovas

Impressive area of business quarter of skyscrapers with the increasing extension of residential towers as well. It is much as interesting day time or during night with city lights

  • Fergus Lynch

Interesting hive of bars, shops ....all centered around the waterfront in Canary Wharf. Worth visiting , especially if you cycle in from the centre of London on the CS3 cycleway.

  • Paul Halfyard

Went to my firms Christmas party held at the pergola on the wharf excellent place very good facilities and great bar service also excellent surroundings spot on will be back here

It’s like a big maze with less needs you can get better to head to central london except if you would like to enjoy the Thames river and take a boat ride

  • Ian Dowsett

You could spend a day here and in the surrounding area. Plenty of retail outlets and restaurants. The harbour side is a good spot to stop for a sandwich.

  • EFlatMajor7

The skyline never gets tiring. However getting lost trying to navigate the underground maze of malls and passageways, and above ground is another story!

  • Tom Ryan-Elliott

If you're in London and have more than 2 or 3 days, Canary Wharf is definitely one to go to with all of its business designed buildings and great shops.

  • Jonathan Stuart

Impressive, upmarket shopping malls. But totally confusing when trying to navigate to/from tube stations. Even local office workers say they get lost.

  • Christina Dero
