I’ve been to several locations and this Jacksonville location is the absolute worst location by far. First, the appearance of the store is a far cry from their Atlanta Locations which is where I think the owner lives now. It always looks dead on the inside and they could really use a renovation. Especially for their prices. The cases that they keep the cupcakes in are always kinda cloudy looking. You can tell that their not cleaned on a regular basis. It’s just a hole in the wall as usual for BOB.. Every since last year they have struggled to keep a good bakers, so the cupcakes are very inconsistent now. I walked in today to buy cupcakes, and of course they ran out of the Red Velvet. When they know good and well that’s what people want the most. Instead they let these overweight pinched booty women come in early and buy them all up. So I got a slice that looked horrible. Some of the slices were broken and crumbled inside of the containers. There was just entirely to much frosting on these slices, so much that they would rather crush the f’king cake up and ruin the cake trying to put it in the container with to much icing. Just sloppy and tacky. Then the cake tasted like a burnt homemade kitchen cake. I ended up scraping the heavy frosting off because it was entirely to much. This isn’t a mom and pop’s operation. This is a chain !!! These degenerates working there now are obviously not up to the jobs standard. It’s also a shame that they would try and ruin her business like this. That cake on the other review was just completely unacceptable. I would recommend getting in contact with one of their Atlanta locations and asking for the owner’s information because this is just getting out of hand now.

this is the worst thing I've ever bought, it looks like a homemade cake… even homemade cakes come out better. I asked for strawberry cream the frosting seems like they just put it on and the bread is already two cakes one on top of the other that doesn't It's not funny at all, I said I didn't want anything pink and the first thing they do is write the message in pink and the cake was for my husband. I'm even sorry to take out the cake, it's a shame that businesses like this have a place and say they can make cakes instead of being honest and saying or offering what they can do I feel cheated and very angry I thought that being in a good area would be a Excellent pastry, but for the first and last time I buy here and I brought it with me because I had already paid, otherwise I'll leave your thing right there that says it's called a cake and I'd better go for one from Públix
If I could add negative stars I would. Ordered 12 mini cupcakes a week before I needed to pick them up. When I picked up the order there were 9 mini cupcakes and 1 regular sized one because they were "out of the flavors that I ordered". No call, email from them and they didn't even bother to substitute with something else. I ordered these for a work function and it was embarrassing that I had to explain that they didn't bother to contact me ahead of time to offer substitutions. Terrible customer service in store and online. the employees weren't concerned and didn't care. I emailed them and have not received a response. We have another function coming up at work and you can bet I'll be getting Bundt cakes this time. Never again CamiCakes! I can't say that the cupcakes are good if I didn't actually get the correct order.
I was on the hunt a couple of days ago for a few beautiful looking cupcakes to buy for my coworkers. I stumbled on CamiCakes and I am super happy I did. The shop is nestled off of Southside Blvd. and it has a good amount of parking. When I stepped in around 730 the store was pretty dead, but unlike many cupcake stores they still had most if not all of their cupcake flavors on display and ready to sell. I opted for a peanut butter chocolate cupcake and a red velvet. They were stupendous! Cupcakes come in a cute little box with a sticker to keep the box shut and the cupcakes fresh. Cupcakes come out to around $3.50 each, but that isn't too bad for such a good looking and tasty treat. I hope to be back in here soon to try more flavors.
This is one of our favorite place to visit when my kids and I are craving for cupcakes. However, webrecently visited this place and I was a little bit disappointed with the quality of their cupcakes. Red velvet cupcake is one of our favorites and the white chocolate macadamia cupcake. The white chocolate macadamia is no longer available. The red velvet has a different texture and color from what we used to eat. It used to have a deep, bright red color with a very moist consistency, but now, it looks pale in color and the texture is not the same anymore. It now easily crumbles when you fork it. Definitely not the same...I hope that they bring back the white macadamia and bring back the old recipe of their red velvet.
If anyone is wondering what Cami cupcakes used to look like, I have attached a photo below. Moist, flavorful and ample amounts of icing and decoration that you would expect from specialty cupcake prices. I have no idea what happened, but it is clear they are cutting corners with their cupcakes now. Dry, not very flavorful, and a small dollop of icing and sad decoration they still expect you to pay $3.50 for. Their service was always disappointing, but at least their cupcakes were good before.
Oh my goodness! These cupcakes were amazingly delicious and very pretty. I happened to visit on Tuesday between 2-4 which is like their happy hour. I got 6 different cupcakes for only $2 each. The lady at the counter was super sweet, which helps determine the overall experience. Two thumbs up! I highly recommend this place.
This was my first time coming to this location and my first time back here in over a decade. I should have came early in order to get the famous red velvet cupcakes because they were sold out. I did snap some pictures for you all to view before you visit.
CamiCakes! You have blessed my soul on today!! The 1st bite definitely reminded us of our favorite cupcake place in NC that permanently closed. We’ve been searching since we moved to Jax and my heart is now glad. We’ll be back soon.
Good cupcakes, but not super special. Strawberry cheesecake cupcake is great, but the lemon one tastes like box lemon cake. They have bottles of soda as well, but it was super flat, very weird.
