I have been visiting Caffe Nero principally at Corn Street since late 2014. I always have Cappuccino Grande, except when Winter Berry Latte is on. I have found the food to be excellent, Almond Torte, Red Velvet Cake, Bolognese Bake is good for a hot snack. All of these unfortunately are now off the menu so leaving Toasted Teacakes, Caramel Shortcake and a newer one but I can recommend still Ham and Cheese Croissant. The Coffee of course varies according to who does it but when done right the Cappuccino is pure silk in a glass, rich body, thick foam top dusted with chocolate yet goes straight down, not weak, no hot water taste or bitterness. The setting makes use of it's building with those huge picture windows & retaining original features. The music can be good too with some classic Jazz numbers among them. It can get extremely packed even at odd times & also can be very quiet, sometimes very noisy depending on who is in. That isn't why I recommend them. They have couple of Barista's in there, Holly & Maia who are excellent at their jobs, the manager is good too & they are so welcoming. The pair of them are kind souls. As someone who has health troubles & difficulty in going into places socially because of this. This is somewhere I can visit with no problem at all. Even if I do have some trouble from time to time I know from personal experience it won't be a problem. They pay attention & remember things, what you like & you want decaff no problem. That is why I recommend them.

In what is usually a very busy branch of Caffe Nero, it was pleasant to find only a small queue. Unfortunately it would seem that the management are not spending enough time on honing the service skills of their staff. It is not my fault if any one particular barista lacks job satisfaction and if this is the case then perhaps they should re-evaluate their direction in life. As a customer ordering a mug of tea I should not be made to feel as though I am at some kind of fault. Despite the occasionally noisy lawyer-type clientèle, this particular branch was previously favourable for a quiet hour or so of getting stuck into book. While not especially noisy during this visit, the general hostility behind the glare of the barista whose job it was to clear tables was inescapable and did not make for a pleasant atmosphere. Needless to say, the entire patronage was under identical scrutiny. During my cup of tea I had to leave my table for a brief moment, taking my belongings with me but leaving half a cup of tea behind. Upon returning to table I found a member of staff enjoying their lunch. This I did not particularly mind, although being offered a glare of hostile amusement when I picked up my cup and moved to another table further added to the overall disappointment. Avoid unless necessary or if feeling particularly masochistic.

Walked in as all other places weren’t open until 11/12! We popped in and was impressed by the customer service from the barista (make grey hat, curly hair) and the lady with the red hair and glasses! Quickly made our drinks, and served our food. We clearly arrived just before the rush, and the queue behind us disappeared quickly! Very impressed they didn’t seem phased at all. Definitely definitely be back! Thank you guys for showing that customer service does still exist. ❤️ bonus for these workers!

Very nice ambiance. Loved their service. Really friendly staffs. This café is definitely a good place for getting some work done with optimum noise in background. Loved the croissant with ham and cheese. The bathroom can get a bit less accessible when crowded as there's only one.

Pretty grim, lacking in atmosphere and air conditioning on, so very cold.....it was probably warmer outside and we are in December!! Coffee bit harsh and wife's tea only half a cup! We will not be returning to this branch and I have to say it's tarnished the whole chain for me. One thing there are plenty of is coffee shops, so they need to up their game dramatically to make me choose them over the competition in the future.

Came in for a quick toastie and drink. Ordered iced flat white and had 3/4 of glass full of milk with barely any coffee - not all fit into it. When I sat down it smelled like sewage and whilst eating there where lots of small flies - not one but counted at least 5!!!! Leaving this place after 2 sips and 2 bites! Whilst leaving counted at least 12 small flies on the wall!!!

As you'd expect from Caffe Nero, though in this instance I found the service to be even better than usual. Decided to try out a new vegan toastie, which was far better than most I've had at more niche cafés, and the barista was quick to suggest other vegan options I'd missed and on the whole just really enthusiastic which made for an even more pleasant lunch break.

Just what you'd expect from a Caffe Nero. Good quality coffee, but high prices. Using O2 priority was and usually is my main reason for coming however. Had terrible experiences in other Nero's in the city but this has by far the best customer service. A downside is the lack of seating. Definitely returning (next week with another code )

  • Joanne Smith

The place was disgusting, full of flies we moved seats only to find the whole place was covered in flies.when I approached the server she said that pest control had been in and sprayed the walls. Definitely not the best experience and won't be going there again.

Nice ambiance and staff. Good location for commuters. Coffee is like any other caffe Nero - average and in my opinion on the same level as Starbucks and Costa. Cakes are super expensive for what they are.

Have visited regularly, the coffee is nice and some member of staff are lovely. Regrettably on my last couple of visits there have been flies everywhere. Will seek to get coffee elsewhere.

Pretty standard Caffè Nero; usual offerings but a good location near St. Nicholas Market. The only strange thing was the only toilet is unisex & disability-equipped with baby changing; they could really do with one or two more.

  • Quinn Boulton

Worst oat latte I've ever had. Coffee and milk were both super burnt. Was served at burn your face off temperature and was just all around not good. I've had my issues with Nero's but this one literally put me off for good

  • Eliza Short

Isn't worth one star. The mocha had 4 flies in it. By the time i realised i was chewing on one, couldnt go back as it was too late. Felt sick, not good check before you leave the place.

Not too bad a coffee shop, abit pricey though, like all the rest, others costa coffee, star bucks coffee !! It gets very noisy and rowdy towards the end of the week, weekend with live music bands there !! !!

  • Liz Reed

Had a couple of visits here during Bristol bike show. Good coffee, nice range of naughty-but-nice cakes. Helpful staff and I got extra stamps on my loyalty card for bringing my own reusable cup.

  • Elaine E

The staff were friendly The cheese and ham toasty was tasty Disappointed they didn't have gluten free whom a member of family is wheat intolerant.

Good selection of sandwiches and cakes on offer. Each item displayed calorie content, which I found helpful. The coffee was good and the service was great. Would visit again.

Called here while shopping in Bristol, a nice comfortable place to get good coffee and relax for a few minutes. Also we got a free pan o chocolate as well, result.

  • Jayden Hewlett

Usual great caffe nero food and service, but this location has a quieter environment than other caffe nero shops in the centre, definitely be returning.

Food and drink fine but queue was not socially distanced and there was no table service or cleaning while I was there at end of October 2020.

  • Dewi Madden

Nice place with air conditioning. Some of the chairs need replacing because of ripped fabric but apart from that a good cafe Nero. …

  • Simon Grainger

Cool coffee brand with decent soya latte and great selection of rolls, sandwiches, panini's and salads. Quick and friendly service.

  • Hannah Brown

Amazing staff! Cleared up drink that we split and gave me a free coffee shot (I thought my drink contained coffee but it didn't)!

  • Bex Hardy

I didn't enjoy my visit to cafe Nero purely because the croissant I had wasn't fresh, it had that day old taste to it.

  • John Gunn

Great coffee house. Feels a little more upmarket than your average Starbucks or Costa. Great location to people watch!
