North beach is saturated with cafes and pastry shops. With any new cafe opening up, it needs to be rememberable and stand out- well this cafe sure did! Wow, this wonderful corner cafe was such a pleasant surprise to stumble upon. A friend and I were on the way to another restaurant, on the hunt for a fresh bagel and pastry. We stopped in to see if they had a specific type of savory croissant. Even though they didn’t have it, they offered to make something else to satisfy our craving! We nearly said no, but I’m SO glad we decided to stay. We thought we were going to get something standard… this was far above our expectation! Shadi made us a fresh ham and cheese croissant as well a sesame bagel. The croissant was fresh, stuffed with ham! On the bagel, he added HOMEMADE whipped cream cheese along with drizzled olive oil, tomato and dill. Omg, everything was incredible! I got a large americano and my friend got a small cappuccino… perfection! Thank you, universe, for drawing us into Cafe Angolo!

This place just opened up in North Beach and it is amazing! Shadi the owner was so sweet and helpful, he went above and beyond for us-his motto is to make people happy and he definitely made us happy! We got a ham and cheese croissant and a sesame bagel with cream cheese, it was outstanding. The *whipped* cream cheese is made in house and Shadi added a tomato and dill to it with a little olive oil-it was delicious *chefs kiss* The ham and cheese croissant was so fresh and just a level up from any others I’ve tried. We got an americano and latte-he added a little cinnamon and chocolate on top that was the perfect addition. The outside seating is great and the perfect spot to bask in the sun while you enjoy the incredible food and espresso. Shadi’s service and smile was the perfect way to start our day! Thank you Shadi!

How do you create a good tasting new breakfast bagel or lox bagel without changing the formula or recipes? I don’t know but this place has the best tasting Lox and breakfast bagel on the North Beach district strip. Nice tiny cafe with no element of liberal created SF crack addicts or homeless, but a clean quaint corner all to its self so you can enjoy the food and the hip atmosphere. What true San Francisco should be like, but with an appetizing flair of an Italian cafe. The pastry’s and menu items are not over complicated and yet have a good wholesome taste. You will pay a slightly higher price but it is worth it. See the photos for yourself.

Newest to the block! Angolo (means corner in Italian) joins old timers cavalli, greco, trieste and co in bringing the goodness of Italian espresso to little Italy. It's the same owners as the fantastic Alimento right next door, bringing the very old Italian brand of danesi coffee. The coffee is authentic and served in homely cups and saucers. Danesi beans have a distinct consistency and taste that sets it apart from ille and the others. Darrell and Lisa are the sweetest baristas and there's also baked goodies to choose from.

Lovely bakery and good coffee! When we entered and said hello, no one replied. Instead the cashier stared into her phone. When I said hi, she replied but still looked at her phone. After one one of us decided to take a coffee (1,50$ for just a splash of caramel) the two other of us decided to get a coffee elsewhere. She rolled her eyes and we left. Unpleased expérience yet great ambience.

I walk down the tree lined stairs from top of the Russian Hill to this cafe ; love the melancholy trumpet of the busker; a scholarly and aloof woman reads a book about Africa ; And I am reading Nietzsche ; the store managers Mehmet, Lisa, Cristina and owner Shaadi are friendly. My friend Roger joins me ; the photos show the Union buttons he wears; coffee is smooth. Conversations with Roger are great as are his artifacts shown in photos.

Man, I love this place Every single thing I've tried has been well made and absolutely delicious; that includes the coffee. The folks who run the place are kind and attentive. The place is spotless. You can chill and watch the world go by, my favorite kind of spot. They take mobile payments Go. You will not be disappointed.

Best coffee in NB, hands down! Their coffee roast is small-batch and straight out of Rome… it’s intense and smooth just how it should be. Killer pastries from local shops too! The owners are from Alimento next door and bring a whole lot of great history & experience, and the baristas are incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. So glad this place opened up!

Tiny but charming spot. Best lox bagel I've ever had. Just don't think that you're going to eat it on the run, cause it'll be an ewwey-gooey mess of deliciousness before you're through. Worth it.

Great sunny corner to relax and people watch. Plastic wicker woven chairs are supremely comfortable. Coffee is a tad expensive $4.02 for a large but you gain the chance to glimpse a famous google reviewer; krishin at work. I hope annie ernaux is tteating you well brother.

This place is the best. Amazing quality pastries and espresso (not like some places just next door that rhyme with Para’s). A great addition to the neighborhood but soon they’ll need more seating !
