"I was there to activate my 11 years old son Debit card, they said that my son has to be there, which I thought that was ridiculous, because he is a minor, he doesn't have any legal faculties to do anything banking related, I walked out and went to another branch, and guess what? Problem sold, the only thing they did was to check that I was the join account person, and after 5 minutes my son's card was activated, you should train your workers better, the young lady was not sure and asked another worker which was the one that told me that I couldn't do that without my 11 YO son present ♂️"

Went in the other day for Financial advise and a small loan. I saw Sarah - She asked how my day was and i told her i had a very sick cat in the vet and her response was " ohh yep mhhm mhmm so what brings you in today"? That set the tone for me, no empathy whats so ever. Then when i would ask her questions she was really bad at explaining things to me, or she would explain them so fast and end with Yep mhmm mhmm after everything she'd say. Went to another bank instead where they broke everything down into something tangible for me to understand. Almost considering moving my banking from CIBC to another institution just for that experience. Im not sure how this woman got an office, i feel like the tellers would have given me better information than her. she wouldn't offer better solutions for what i was looking for, and i felt my appointment was honestly rushed.
I wish i could give them rating below then this.The branch manager and executives are practicing discrimination against South Asians. Saw executive making fun of my Wife having no family name, she said “does everyone has missing things there” and started laughing. Insisting on additional documentation just to collect a debit card for newly opened account citing frauds etc. despite making requests to branch manager that it is difficult to come again and again, she declined the request. We went back again with ID proof, but she said we are late by 1 minute as branch has closed. So much for just issuing a Debit card for a new account. Yes, we have different names and we don’t have anything missing, we are equal tax payers like you and CIBC runs because of customers like us. Please refrain from going to this branch, especially if you are South Asian.

There's a solid reason this place is 2.7 stars. I came in one day to cash a cheque. Was berrated by staff and told to leave. Given paper work a month later stating I can't access any cibc location. Then one day the machine ate my card and they locked me out of my account like they did to the trucker convoy. Which is entirely illegal. They gave me a run around trying to get my money out of my account. That's ok. RBC has treats me way better anyway. Cibc is the biggest joke of a bank
All CRA are a complete, lier and thefts. I opened chequing account,, the asian woman,,,said is free 5 transactions a month, than when i paed some bills, they charged me everytransaction 5 dollars,,,also she approved me for a credit card,,,,when I recevied a complete shit credit card Adventuas,,,that charge me anually fee $150 dollars for nothing, I dont travel like crazy,than i phoned the credit card they never answer. DONT GET INVOLVED WITH THIS SHIT BANK,,,,WHAT SO EVER!!
They messed up our account and didn't do much to fix. And this one Teller was one of the rudest people I've ever met. Our culture says we shouldn't write our names in red pen. So when I asked for a different pen to write my info. She laughed at me! To my face! And she was supposed to help us with something but she just started helping other customers behind us without telling us what was going on. Li work on your customer service.
The customer service from the branch especially the branch manager was unprofessional, they were condescending and totally unwilling to help in any way. I have been a customer for 8 years and the treatment I got makes it hard to bank with CIBC going forward. This is how they repay loyal customers. Unfortunately, they are going to get one star because there’s nothing less than that, they do not even deserve the one star rating.

Having tellers at the Branch is appreciated as so many have gone to a sterile experience with only one person at a front reception area. The complaint is trying to reach ANYONE at the branch by phone, its always voice mail. Considering the extraordinary fees CIBC charges, staff accordingly. So frustrating...
Absolutely hate this bank not enough tellers on duty and slowest service ever. Wish our company would change banks cause waiting a half hour in line and slow tellers is so annoying. Glad I do not nor will I ever have this as my personal bank. Truly frustrated and
Horrible customer service, booking out almost a full week to speak with a personal banker. A simple credit card application has been stretched out to almost a month because the application keeps being lost. I'll go elsewhere, thanks.
Awful service, came in to get some coins gave them my business account and they refuse to make change saying I need ID as they need it for preventative money laundering when it was only $190 and I gave them a deposit slip from work.
I'm not surprised by the rating at this branch. Walked in attempted to open an account, was told I needed to wait over a week or to go online and do it. This is why online banks flourish.
This branch never has enough tellers. As you stand waiting and waiting looking at all personal bankers sit in their offices doing nothing. Poor service. I feel sorry for the tellers
Multiple advisors have gone above and beyond for my financial health, credit needs and my mortgage! Highly recommend to see the advisors at this location for your investments.
Always a lineup at this branch. They need to hire more bank tellers 2 tellers is not right for a bank this size in this area. Not impressed with the service.

Understaffed, long wait times, useless staff unwilling to work with you to get things done, they just tell you they can't do it.
