I am shocked how many people actually liked the page of CIBC bank. Personally I faced unprofessional and immoral way of running business from the bank end. My mother, person who had to flee the war on her motherland, doesn't speak English very well yet. It's obvious, she is a newcomer. Her bank account got blocked by the bank without any notice only because she was trying to support her family by sending 600 CAD via CIBC app. The transaction was declined by the way. As she didn't know that she had any problems with her bank account she went to a grocery store to buy some food. Unfortunately her card was declined and she returned home empty-handed. She asked for help her son, who called the bank customer support service and explained the situation as she doesn't speak English and the bank doesn't provide an interpreter service. In order to lift up the account block the bank advised her to visit any nearest branch with the card and her ID to prove her identity but it wasn't enough for the bank representative as he insisted her to answer some questions in English even though he was informed that she doesn't speak English. Furthermore the bank representative refused to lift the card block after my mother did everything that she was asked to. Now imagine the picture where my mother is alone in the country where she is first time in her life, where she has nobody, who could support her and the money on her account is the only source for leaving, the source to which she doesn't an access anymore. What is she supposed to do? The question is obviously rhetorical and the situation is real. Canada is a great country but the bank is the worst I have ever had business with in my entire life. In my opinion they should face a trial for their actions.

0 STARS FOR SERVICE After not renewing my mortgage at CIBC because I found a more competitive rate elsewhere, my financial advisor Kim R. immediately wanted to remove me from her client list and wanted to transfer me to a different branch with no explanation. My assumption is that I am no longer meeting her threshold of assets to make it worth her while to continue to support. I felt completely undervalued and discarded. CIBC should treat all customers equally no matter how much money they have as every hard earned dollar I make is just as important as someone else's and I've decided to move all my investments to another institution as I no longer feel like a valued customer at CIBC. I am currently still in the process of moving my investments but I've continued to get roadblocks on CIBCs end. CIBC has not been accommodating in this COVID environment and will NOT accept transfer forms sent in via picture. It's ridiculous that they are making it this difficult and require actual signed copies at this time during COVID. Branch GM Alendro has reached out multiple times for feedback which I’ve now provided due to this last frustration. I’m hoping he can support me in helping me transfer my investments to another institution as it’s now taken over 3 months ... we shall see Alendro has responded that it’s a separate department that does transfers and not done within the branch - So no help. Take your business elsewhere if you can.

Went to this branch today and used the ATM to get some money, but wanted to break a $20 bill and tried to go inside to talk to a cashier, but didn't see anybody until a lady showed up and asked me to follow her to the reception desk. I asked her if that was a real bank (no cashiers?!) and she said it was and I told her I wanted to break a bill and she told me they couldn't help me there because ... and I completed the phrase for her "because this is not a real bank"... then she recommended me to go to the dollar store to try to break my bill there... Ridiculous! Not sure what's going on with the CIBC; first they steal Renault's logo and now they come up with the absurd idea of sending their clients to do banking with the Dollar Store because they can't do a simple cash transaction there!! I guess banking (with CIBC) is not what it used to be...

Avoid going here at all costs, there’s a TD bank nearby which I recommend. For months now my account has been locked and I am unable to make any purchases, I went to this CIBC and finally after a conversation with a rude support I got a new card and I thought everything would end there. I was wrong. Even after getting a new card my account still remained locked. I don’t know if they’re doing this on purpose or not but whatever. I go the next day and all of the sudden, even though when I opened my account with a digital ID and got a new card the day before, I was required to use a physical ID. It’s almost like CIBC was made to inconvenience their customers, if you really value your money and time just go to literally any other bank on this planet.

Worst bank branch ever . The general Manager Alendro Mendes is the worst why these kind of ppl are working in this industry who don't want help there customers if they have a emergency . While i was there the branch was empty and no other clients are waiting . He denied to help and said book appointment and i told him this is urgent because of RRSP transfer . He was arguing and asking personal Questions. I felt like i am begging for my money in front of him . Poor and Worst Customer Service .So disappointed with service and how they treat their customers .

I have recently went back to CIBC after banking with Royal Bank and had to say that this location has been the best experience thus far. The manager Alendro Mendes knows what outstanding customer service is, which reflects positively throughout his team. They are always willing to go above and beyond what needs to be done to help the issue or help find the banking solution. I have had so tedious questions and the time they all took to help me find solutions to make sure our banking was taken care was really appreciated.

I deposited money into the machine and it got jammed and took one of my 50 dollars bill. They said they will investigate and have an answer for me in 10 days, after 14 days nothing, no call. Went to bank and wait for huge line up, then they told me it is still under investigation. Wow, can’t they open up machine and check why my 50 dollar is in there or not. Worst experience ever. Don’t use machine, it will take your money. The customer service is also horrible.

This is not a brach to do any banking at where you need a human being. Just a terrible experience. No tellers. No triage or anyone available to let you know if waiting in the long line to see the 1 and only human available will actually even do anything for you. Get your act together CIBC, this is a big step backwards and if this is the level of service you now offer then there is no reason to not bank with another entirely virtual bank with lower fees.

  • Nathan Morrison

They only have one teller…one. You walk in the bank and no one says hi or asks what you’re there for. You have to wait in line (that was out the door) just to be able to talk to someone. Waited for over 30 minutes just to be able talk to someone only to be told there would be a 5 business day hold to cash a small bank draft… Lots of pretty couches and seating areas, too bad I go to the bank to do banking and not hang out.

The manager Alendro Mendes is extremely incompetent. He wasted my time and tried to exert his power as the manager when trying to do a simple wire transfer (he gave me such a hard time and didn’t end up doing the wire). Alendro is the reason I will be moving all my services from CIBC to TD.

I came into the branch hoping to pick up a card that I signed up for online. Instead, the branch manager handed me over to Teena. She proceeded to sign me up for a new account and now I have two accounts. Worst customer service ever. They are only trying to upsell you.

  • Peter Xu

Terrible branch that does not have tellers or accept cash. This is a bank - it makes zero sense why you wouldn’t transact in cash. Can’t withdraw or deposit. Rude and unhelpful branch manager Alendeo Mendes who told me to go elsewhere. Do not come here!

  • Elena Johansen

Quick and easy branch with a ATM drive through. Close by to the Costco that I shop at so it's very convenient for me to drive over to this location. I always have great service with the rep. Nothing to complain, definitely recommend this location!

  • Jessica Euna Choi

The exceptional customer service provided by Alendro and Kelvin extends seamlessly across all banking facets, including transactions and investments. Their dedication ensures a smooth and reliable experience, earning a well-deserved 5-star rating.

  • Adam Dossa

Jennifer is the only one I will deal with at this branch. Her customer service is spectacular and she has always gone above and beyond to assist me in my needs unlike others I have dealt with at that location.

  • Jay J

Every time I go to this location, I speak with Busola and she's amazing!! Great energy, great personality and she's always open to teach her clients about their products and how to save money.

  • Gee Mam

The worst! The "leader" , Alendro, couldn't lead himself out of a wet paper bag. This was a great branch about 5 years ago. I don't know why CIBC seems to want to drive it into the ground.

  • Lyle Kerr

I generally only have to go on to pick up foreign cash for a vacation, so I'm in a good mood. They never get too jealous, but always are friendly and inquire about the trip.

  • Anmol Bansal

I have been a loyal customer of CIBC for over a decade now and I can confidently say this is a worst branch so far. The customer service is very poor.

  • T S

Tellers are lazy and unwilling to help. Won't take cash deposits and force you to wait in line at ATM while they chat about their Friday evening.

  • Gil

Pretty useless branch. Needed a bank draft. One person at the front counter helping the line of people. Only good for self serve at the ATM.

  • Sateeya B
