One of the oldest churches in Bengaluru. The church, is also known as the ‘Garden Church of Garden City’ and is also one of the very few churches in Bengaluru which consists of a Pipe organ. Situated in the heart of the city, this Church is one of the heritage building in Bangalore. The Church belongs to Church of South India and they follow the Anglican order of worship. which was founded in 1870 by Rev. Samuel Thomas Pettigrew (1827- 1889) It is a 152-year-old church and one of the oldest ones in Bangalore. There’s a little corner of colonial England preserved at the busy intersection of Bengaluru. It is accessed through a gate. Inside are a cluster of amazing varities of trees resembling a typical English park in which the trees in the church are older than more than 100 years, beyond which is a charming little Gothic style country church set amidst a flower garden. A steeply pitched cross gabled roof holds finished stone walls and slope fronted dormer windows. A west-facing rising window, just above the entrance door, lets afternoon light into the church. Two rows of dark wood pews lead to an altar behind which is a beautiful, three panelled stained glass window. The Church Compound consists of an Arpana School for the Special children, a Home for the senior citizens including a Parish hall for various functions and a spacious parking area. The church also has an Aviary where y'all can view the Finches,Love birds, Cockatiel and African Loved Birds. With lovely gardens all around the colonial-style architecture makes it a place worth visiting. Wonderful place to rejuvenate your mind. Come and experience the wonderful place of worship. Also, a place filled with harmony, tranquility and peace. A must church to visit in Bengaluru !

As part of Unboxing Bengaluru Habba, a very interesting and insightful INTACH curated heritage walk through All Saints Church which they are involved in the restoration process. Detailed explanation of the nature of damage identified, the restoration process, the materials, the stories narrated in the stained glass windows were well explained by Lester from INTACH. The original architect was Robert Chisholm who designed it in a Gothic style unlike other buildings of his later works which was Indo Saracenic style. The church is built in the shape of the Latin Cross with the altar section of the building being a later extension resulting in a different exterior and marble flooring while the main section (nave) of the church having cuddapah slabs now Kota tiles. The roofing of the main section (nave) was steep tiled roofs with wooden rafters while the roofing of the relatively newer section is Madras terrace (brick laid roof)

I thot the place was a good option to host my wedding reception but luckily we didn't choose it ... had an unpleasant experience at a wedding hosted by one of my close friends ... the venue n food was good but the staff was very rude n mannerless... it was barely 12am n the stage was still full with both the bride n d groom's families clicking pics the party was far from over ... there wer were some close one's left in the hall n v along with the family set about to go on stage for clicking pics wit the newly weds but a cleaning staff member came from no where n started to hurl abuses at us n asked us to leave... it was quite humiliating ... dat was my 1st n last of attending any function der... 2 stars coz the place z good wen decorated at nite.

Such a beautiful place nestled amidst greenery. Right next to the busy and noisy Johnson's Market, the existence of such a rustic and quaint little church borders around surrealism. Built in 1869 by Pettigrew, the same guy who started Bishop Cotton's this place is a must visit for everyone who has an eye out for aesthetics and pretty architecture. Also keep an eye out for the little white eyes and the tailor birds chirping as they take bath in the water kept around the church.

magnificent setting of poinsettias dot the entrance of the church when in season and the sheer stretch of land in the premises is worth a walk or two in the evening. The woodwork and the altar have been done up very tastefully, without being over exuberant or too frail either. The Anglican church is tucked away very accessibly in the heart of the capital city of Meghalaya and definitely one of the places to visit in Meghalaya if architecture and nature excite you equally.

A divine place of worship at Central Bangalore. The church gives a serene feeling as you enter into an old fashioned infrastructure surrounded by a calm & nice garden. Has parking space inside. CSI style Service/mass is available almost everyday of the week in English. During Sunday's the timings are 8.30 am for 1st service and 10.30 for the 2nd service. Will definitely make you feel blessed at your 1st visit.

  • Santhosh Kumar

One of the oldest Church in Bangalore. The vintage architecture makes it a place to visit at once in your life time if you're a lover of architecture and are in Bangalore. I can't talk about the effectiveness of Sermons here since it is a CSI Church. But I've heard that the Youth Fellowship is dynamic. There's a lot lush greenery in the campus.

There's a grumpy gaurd at the gate who did not let me in even when the church gate was open on a Sunday evening (at 5.30 PM). I'm tired of these gatekeepers really, the same happened to me even at St. Andrew's Church. All I wanted was to see and appreciate an old heritage structure, but no, it's apparently more high security than NASA.

This place belongs to CSI. Open for all with enough parking space inside. It is listed as One of the heritage buildings in Bangalore by INTACH. A very calm atmosphere inside despite being surrounded by busy roads. Designed by Robert Fellowes Chisholm in Gothic Architecture style with local materials.

  • MONICA RAGHU

More than 150 years old, this beautiful church build of wood still stands strong and beautiful in the centre of the city. Though it's surrounded by dusty construction works and heavy traffic road all around, once you enter the church the whole atmosphere is so Serene and Beautiful.

  • steephan raj prakash

One of most beautiful Churchs in Bangalore which has a garden and trees are it's speciality. The Church holds the British Sculpture style. It was almost 150 years old Anglican Church established during British India. Christmas and New year are the best time to visit.

  • Jesmary Johnson

The church is located in a lush green space. Very calm, filled with trees. The church is Anglican with beautiful features. The mass timings are available on the website. The prayer books and handouts are placed in each seat. A very good place to just be.

  • Ramya Elizabeth

Very old church.... It stands strong and proves to be a great example of the English architecture and how they never compromised on strength of the building than it's cost... It still has its old structure.... Awestruck by it's Beauty …

  • Jason S

One of the old and iconic churches in Namma Bengaluru. Very well maintained with so much greenery even with the smaller place due to metro acquisition. Don't miss listening to the Church organ when you are there, such a blissful experience.

  • Mike Strawson

A very beautiful and peaceful place. We were made to feel welcome there while travelling and spent time meeting with the parishioners and clergy, who welcomed us and helped us to trace our family history. We were glad to have visited.

  • Sureka James

A traditional Church with a peaceful environment. This Church's bell is quite different when compared with other churches. Most specially, an olive tree is being planted in it's campus which had been brought from Israel.

  • Nagesh Bharadwaj

Wonderful place to rejuvenate your spirits. Come and meditate under the motherly trees. You will feel the love. It seems BMRCL is planning to cut the trees and end it all....you won't let this happen would you ?
