Went in for new brakes and tire inspection on a tight budget. My brakes were real bad, I knew that, and my tire was held up with fixa flat, I just drove over 3000 miles across the country from the east coast. I dropped it off and got a call at the end of that day with an outrageous estimate. I went in to go over what the cost was and noticed everything was premium parts, not budget, and labor was a bit excessive. The reason I leave 1 star is the fact that the guy I was dealing with kept rudely suggesting that I know nothing, it's the worst condition of brakes he's seen and that he's doing me a favor with price. He kept going on and on about how he's not a snake or liar and that he's doing what he can to help me out, to a point where it felt like he was trying to convince me that paying that much was my only option. Also 1 star because the tire that needed work, it held some air when I dropped it, it was a drivable tire, was now completely flat when I picked it up, they didn't put on the spare or nothing and they charged me for tire repair? She left in worse condition than when I dropped her off which isn't great. Brought it elsewhere and got my car back on the road for $2000 less than the estimate I got here. Thank you!

My wife and I were on vacation in San Diego and woke up to find that the breaks on our jeep were making a really bad noise. We looked on google and found the Brake Stop and read the glowing reviews. I called Ernie and from the minute he came on the phone he was awesome to work with. We took our jeep in, he and his team made it a priority since we were on vacation. He had a staff member take us to breakfast and show us where to eat. It was close by so we took our time and then walked back to the shop. It was going to be about 2 hours to fix our jeep so we asked about renting a car. He introduced us to the rental car place next door and we got a very good deal on a rental car for the day. These guys went out of their way to make our miss fortune a positive. Thank you Ernie and your staff for being the type of business that treats its customers in an honest and respectful manner. Wow! This is an easy one. I don't have a single complaint about these guys and wish I would have done my business with them years ago. I have tried many auto repair shops all over San Diego county and these guys are by far the best. I had an issue with the brakes on my car and gave them a call they instantly answered the phone they were able to immediately fit me in to get my car down to the shop I was expecting a 2-3 day turn around on repair. No, 4 hours they had my cars issue diagnosed and fully repaired at an incredibly affordable price like I said I wish these guys would have had my business years ago cause I could have saved so much time and money. I highly encourage you to give them your business and have them help you out. They have my highest recommendation.

I went there 10/20 and then go back at 10/23 because is oil over full they don't really care about the mess has oil on the spark plug he showed me like its normal what kind of mechanic seems the oil and the spark plug and says is normal I went to my personal mechanic to deep clean i spend 150$ for the real clean imagine i went there for oil change a simple thing and then I get huge problem because the oil over full cause misfire they try to blame me like was my fault but is not they made a mistake very ridiculous they don't know how much oil put on the car.. please if you read this don't doing oil change in this place you get a huge headache with then

Bought a used 4runner a couple months back, knew it would need some brakes. Turns out the front brakes (caliper) was stuck and been like that for awhile. Back brakes turned out to be pretty new. They inspected all of the brakes for me. Front brakes got the full replacements of both calipers, disc's, pads and they threw in some brake fluid for me. Lots of parts involved, but they gave me the best deal possible on labor. 2 year 24,000 mile Warrenty on top of great service, parts and turn around time (about 3 hrs) considering the amount of work they did. I have some mechanical experience dealing with cars over the years. I know what to look for, hear for and research material on parts and procedures about he car im having a mechical problem with. I came to them with a problem, and I told them not to do me wrong. They treated me with respect, fairness and walked me through the mechanical problem that I had on the car visually to ensure me about the problem. The repair price for parts and labor surpassed their local area competitors by far. Customer services was speedy as possible.

Absolutely 10/10 experience with Brake Stop & Auto Repair! I went in for an oil change and they called me back/sent over photos of my tires that were on the verge of popping. I know people get mad when someone tells them they need new tires, but this was honestly something I appreciated so much/potentially saved me from a bad accident on the road. They kept my car over night and replaced my tires the next day. Super communicative and friendly. Will be going back for future car needs! Thank you for all your help!

Ernie is very professional and friendly. I came in with a Land Rover (which are pretty annoying to work on) for rotor and pad work. They replaced all 4 rotors and pads. A little after my first visit the pads were making some noise. I called Brake Stop and Ernie was very quick to book me another appointment, let me test drive it with a mechanic, and they replaced some of the pads that were making noise. Very professional, very friendly, good price, and very good to work with when I had to bring my car back.

I bought a groupon, called ahead of time with my type of car. Manager wasn't there for my appointment and the person that was left in charge was very upset and was swearing because they were frustrated. About half an hour later, they said they didn't have my type of oil, and that it would be $119 in addition to what I already paid for the groupon. Super unorganized, super unprofessional, and super sketchy. I would never recommend this place or would never go here again.

You can hear my car from the opposite end of my street coming. I went to this shop for alternator problem and head gasket issues. I went to this shop not wanting to buy a car. This shop is very affordable and they are honest with their dealings. I have made this shop my family shop so when I am not available my folks knows that’s where to go for car issues. Ernie (sorry for spelling) is very helpful.

I found Brake Stop through a Groupon deal to get my oil changed and I will never go to another auto shop. I have gone to them for oil changes, new tires with rotation, smog checks, and any other maintenance need that has come up. They are friendly, fast, and always able to work me into their schedule. The quality of work is the best I have had. Would highly recommend them.

Annie and his team did a wonderful job on my 2015 VW passat. It needed a whole new engine and many other parts. Arnie even helped me get financing for all the work. These guys went above and beyond. My car runs better now than when I first bought it. I even got a 2 year warranty for my replacement engine. I would recommend them to anyone that needs any car work done.

The guys at brake stop and auto repair are men with honor. I went there thinking I needed new brakes and was ready to drop a couple hundred on new brakes. They did their inspection and found nothing showing I needed new brakes. Instead of lying and telling me I needed new parts they were truthful. Brought my car in to get the AC serviced during the heat wave and was expecting a big bill. The guys are Brake Stop ran a quick diagnostic and determined the issue to be a faulty relay. They got the part switched out and got my AC cranking to 40 degrees! Appreciate the quick work and honesty! Highly recommend and will be getting all my car work done here.

These guys are great! I have a VW GTI and my down-pipe was completely broken. I showed them where i needed it to be fix and the guys quoted me for the parts and labor. They gave me a very good and reasonable price and they did it really fast. All in all the service was great, the price was great, the work done to my car was great and the guys are great.

The guys here are very friendly and do a great job. I had two of my cars worked on at this shop and they run great. The prices are very reasonable and they do the repairs at a descent amount of time. I hear they are experts in Audi and their mechanics are experienced in any car models. I would definitely keep coming back here.

Got my brakes done a few weeks ago. New rotors and new pads. Price was decent, with a warranty, and everything works great so far. Quick and easy. Great honest folks who have a vast knowledge on cars, even 2018 or younger German cars or first-gen Prius models. They were able to accommodate a same-day appt and providing an inspection report with lots of photos and video recordings which is more than what I am provided at dealership services.
