There seemed to be no organization to the layout and there were boxes of books everywhere, but if you like the feeling of hunting treasure then that isn't necessarily a bad thing! This may have been a temporary thing when I went, so I'll definitely be back to check. The employee (possibly the owner?) was very nice and explained that she puts good books in the $1 bargain bin and not just unwanted books intentionally, as I found one of my favorite books in there. I definitely recommend reading yourself to a treasure hunt here.

Wow! 1st to the store… either store owner or employee wouldn’t even let me in.. asked me what book I was looking for. Told them the textbook I was looking for and she said “no I wouldn’t want to be surrounded by text books here all day…we only have interesting books…” sorry can’t help you and pretty much closed the door on me. Now I am a pretty big reader, drove here from Rio Rancho to check them out and unfortunately I don’t think I’ll be coming back. Makes me sad because a good used book store is hard to find. I

Even tho this shop is rather small it is incredibly easy to find. It has plenty of book deals available outside and inside. The woman in charge was very helpful and knew where just about any genre and author were. She was also willing to work on the price with me. Highly recommend. Oh and if you're fast enough, don't worry about the usps towing you ;) there's even a window for you to keep an eye out just in case...

I asked about where the decorative coat of arms tiles in and outside of the store were from and was given a blank stare followed be the older woman sarcastically asking me if I was aware of nations. It was also suggested that I google geography, then she finally somewhat answered my simple question. Much appreciated.

I swung by one day because I was looking for a book for one of my classes at UNM and even though I swung by during their advertised open hours I found the location was closed. Bummer. Other then that this bookstore has been around forever so I'm sure it's a solid place with a loyal following.

Went during regular business hours and the door was locked with a sign to knock. Thought this might be to limit the number of customers. Nope, owner came to the door said nobody is coming in, however if we gave her the name of the book we wanted she would try to find it. Walked away.

Not open on Mondays as is stated online. There is parking available for customers so don't use the meters. Husband was really looking forward to stopping while we were traveling threw ABQ. Please consider updating your Google info with current hours of operation.

I generally visit the store when I have post office business , the lady that runs the store is super nice, but stepping inside causes anxiety , to many books for one to move around the store to browse. I generally just ask if she has what I'm seaking .

I’ve bought a couple books here and never had a problem. I would just pick something out and pay. When I finally tried to talk to the owner about some things, they were extremely rude. Sucks that one person can ruin the entire experience.

This place is book heaven its small quaint little shop and the owner is really nice. Definitely something that's hard to come by now since most books are digital. Located in a central area easy to find and worth the time spent.

This is mine and my Dad's favorite used book store in Albuquerque. Laura, the owner is helpful and friendly. You may have to search through some stacks but I always find some hidden treasure every single time I visit.

This is a messy and chaotic treasure chest. While I was a little bummed with their dearth of poetry (you really have to go to Page 1 for that), their prices are on point and you will always find something good.

I was able to get some credit for a box of my old books! Getting to look through the many shelves was quite an adventure, and I couldn't leave without buying at least four more to take home with me.

Lovely little bookstore, small enough that you can peruse everything. I thought it was well organized, I particularly likely the chronological ordering of US presidential auto/biographies.

  • Eloisa Grace

I went over at noon to browse but the store was closed. I would definitely try calling before you go. Looked through the window and there are a ton of books in there, wish I could browse.

Stopped by as I was passing through Albuquerque. Found some novels I’ve been wanting to read. Happy to support a local business. Laura was helpful and a pleasure to chat with.

Wonderful place to shop for fun reads! Some very interesting finds, including full-color French comic books. A must stop for University students, visitors, and local readers.

Magical little place, crammed with treasures. Laura, the owner, is amazing at helping to find the perfect book....a wonderful place to browse in the UNM area.

A good selection of all kinds of books at reasonable prices. New titles show up regularly, so if you don't find something today look again in a week or so.

  • Jessica Capetillo

Terrific little used book shop, so glad I stopped in. Looking for something specific would be difficult because it's crowded. But browsing was fun.
