"Well its a subway stop I don't go to often but its an OK one cause its pretty much in downtown montreal where I live but actually i live in the west of my city"
"This Orange line Metro station is among the most crowded of the Montreal Metro, mainly because it's connected to many places in Downtown, such as the underground city RESO, the tallest building by roof in the city the 1000 Gauchetiere West, Gare Centrale train network and Place Bonaventure which is like a Convention place"
"Station de métro très utile"
"Bonaventure is a really big metro station and important for people that work in the are"
"Being a visitor to Montreal with my wife, the station was a bit saddening to see the amount of homeless down there"
Well its a subway stop I don't go to often but its an OK one cause its pretty much in downtown montreal where I live but actually i live in the west of my city. It has a beautiful above ground building with a few restaurants and nice decor plus one of Montreal's indoor skating rinks too at the Atrium especially at the winter holidays like around Christmas time is very decorated and magical too. Its not too expensive to skate there either at the Atrium and they rent skates to and so I recommend it to anyone visiting my city. I hope you enjoy the experiences that I get to in my city for yourselves after my reviews and good luck with your friends and family as well. Thanks for checking my reviews even though lengthy sorry but have a great time anyway and I hope to see you out there.
This Orange line Metro station is among the most crowded of the Montreal Metro, mainly because it's connected to many places in Downtown, such as the underground city RESO, the tallest building by roof in the city the 1000 Gauchetiere West, Gare Centrale train network and Place Bonaventure which is like a Convention place. There's also the RTL South Shore busses that are located at the basement level of the 1000 Gauchetiere West and the Ecole Technologie Superieure, an engineering university, few blocks away from Peel street. Aesthetically, it's alright. It looks ordinary with the brown and dark tiles. A little bit difficult for the less mobile crowd because the station is deeper and most connected places only have escalators and stairs.
Bonaventure is a really big metro station and important for people that work in the are. There’s a lot of movement here. It’s not one of the most beautiful stations but it has its own beauty, specially when you take into account the comings and goings that happen daily. If you know you way around the subterranean paths you can walk to Place d’ armes, Place d’ arts - and so you can also walk to McGill and Peel in the Green line.
Being a visitor to Montreal with my wife, the station was a bit saddening to see the amount of homeless down there. Many places stink of urine and many of the homeless become aggressive. Not being fluent in French did not help. On the positive side, many of the metro riders and staff are more than willing to help and speak English. Would not recommend a female to travel alone at night if you are not familiar with the area.
A very important metro station in Montreal downtown, connected to train station, major hotels , Bell Centre , Dorchester Square. It is a center of action with a lot of traffic. Interesting enough, the station is very deep below ground and was designed more than 50 years ago, the concept of accessibility was not born. It is not friendly for handicapped. This should be a major improvement point to go forward in the future.
One of the most important stations for montreal public transport as it not only serves at the orange line, but can also connect you to yellow and green line and soon the REM line. Extremely accessible and big with places to get something to eat on the second floor. On top of that you have direct access to the main train station of montreal without leaving the building.
The location is strategic, near the central station and easy to reach. It is always packed with people, mostly during working hours and on the weekend. Ticketing is very convenient, both the self-serving and on a counter are very easy and rapid. It also provided many options regarding our needs. Unfortunately, many homeless people wander around this area.
A Montreal landmark that now serves as a mix of business related events and parties, and a corridor between the train station and downtown offices. Aside from offices in the periphery, has a cafe and barber shop. Nestled between the Bell Centre and Place du Canada.
Bonaventure is a nice station. It is part of the Reso underground network. There’s a few homeless there so be wary but they have corner stores and you can walk easily underground to the bell centre or McGill station. Nice and not to deep. It’s a good station.
NOT handicapped accessible!!! No elevator. You put your life in your helper's hands going up the two separate escalators to ground level. A TERRIBLE experience. What was even worse, the security people could not even tell us which stops WERE accessible.
Very busy during rush hour but manageable. I think it would be nice for the signs to be bilingual especially for the millions of tourists. Also the metro is french only while leaves the rest of canada and america clueless.
The metro station is on the orange line and connects to the Place de Bonaventure which is a huge meeting place and easy place to get lost in. Bathrooms are upstairs on the same level as the indoor ice rink and food court.
Great well designed station with underground connections to the main train station as well as major attractions such as the Bell Centre but a lot of homeless people in the station, at times aggressive
I don't understand places that close bathrooms if there are users who attend the place even hours after they decide to lock it. what is the difference of being used 1am or 6am?
This is a very central station, very downtown, it looks very great and there are often a lot of people. If you want to buy tickets there are machines and sellers.
Great station, accessible from many places. Could be cleaner but for Montreal it's great. Sadly, there are a lot of homeless people.
Ticket counter is either always closed or has rude and unhelpful employees. I don't face this in any of the other metro stations
One of the cleaner metros in Montréal. Homeless lingers around but not too bothersome. The station can feel like a labyrinth.
From this metro station I can access square durochester and place du Canada so easy and just few steps far
The place is massive, easy to get lost. But the staff were nice, even if I couldn't speak French.
Entrances to station are dirty and smell of pee. Lots of homeless hang out there as well.
Good train station. A variety of activities. You can speak English or French here
Not the best station early in the morning. Crowded, dirty, but it is what it is.
Big metro station. Not very clean with bad smell. A lot of homeless people.
Beautiful old building. No doubt a controversy to name it after the Queen.
Merci encore !
Very nice station. But very centred so it's hard to board in rush hour.
A beautiful building with access to peel and bonaventure station.
Good station connecting directly to the Gare Centrale.
Still everything is closed with a few restaurants open
Lots of clothes stores, not too many places to eat.
Such a hard time for baby stroller or wheelchair
Great memories from my childhood's skating rink.
The place is clean and signs aren’t confusing.
Very busy during rush hour but manageable.
Clean metro station. Brand new trains.
Good station and accessible from TCV
Subways in Montreal are incredible.
Clean safe place to wait for a bus
Très accessible et bien aménagé.
Smells like urine in the station
Nice place easy to find your way
Low price and very clean space.
We were on our way to Megabus.
The monk was very friendly...
